GOGI Korean BBQ

It was our first time to visit tonight and it was amazing. The food was superb! Will definitely be back and tell our friends.

We love dining at All-You-Can-Eat restaurants and by far Gogi gave us an amazing dining experience. How?

While place was packed on a Tuesday night (Jan 23,2024) and we were 8th in waiting list, but when finally sat down and ordered, food was delivered quickly than anticipated. Staff were thoughtful about her service, she also made sure we were doing okay and even recommended which drinks were really tasty. We had Maesli Highball and Random Lemonade. It was a delightful dinner.

Amazing atmosphere. Great place to have a Sunday Brunch/Lunch with all you can eat meat options available at your disposal. Nice selection in the salad bar as well. Love the mouth watering sauces. Friendly staff. Warm cozy vibes:)

Best Korean food in Calgary! The Korean BBQ is absolutely amazing and taste so good. We have been going here since the owner first opened and have raved about it to all our family & friends. Living so far and with the pandemic has made it tough to go out but when we do it make it out central, and can visit Gogi, it is such a treat. Truly happy for the owner to have come this far. Really a Canadian business owner dream come true. Supporting Gogi and we are always rooting for them. They have new locations downtown too now. Go check it out. Highly recommend Gogi!
Update: can't wait to try the new location! Congrats on the new location on Macleod Trail! I'm sure it will be just as good as the original location. We love Gogi! Amazing Korean food.

The all-you-can-eat bbq is delicious with quite a few options and add-ons to select from. There is a sauce bar (6 sauces) to choose from including some unique ones, like the basil ssamjang. There is also a salad bar of a variety of side dishes to help yourself to. The LA Galbi is excellent and all the meats were marinated well and complimented the sauces.

Service was friendly, they came by to change our hot plate and clear our empty dishes frequently, and they ensured the salad bar was topped up.

Highly recommended! Come early as the line-up can get long.

Amazing atmosphere and servers are super nice. The old location was amazing and this new one is even better! I would definitely recommend 10/10.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this phenomenal Korean BBQ restaurant, and I cannot express enough how much I enjoyed my experience! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by the warm and friendly staff, who made me feel right at home.

The cleanliness of the restaurant was exceptional. The dining area was immaculately maintained, with well-spaced tables and a cozy atmosphere. The attention to detail in maintaining a clean environment truly added to the overall dining experience.

The all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ option was an absolute delight. The quality and variety of meats available were outstanding. Each cut was fresh, tender, and expertly marinated, ensuring a burst of flavors with every bite. I was particularly impressed by the premium beef and pork options; they were absolutely mouthwatering!

Not only were the meats delectable, but the accompanying side dishes were equally fantastic.every dish added to the authenticity and richness of the Korean culinary experience.

What truly sets this restaurant apart, however, is the exceptional service provided by the staff. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and always willing to offer recommendations or assist with grilling techniques. Their genuine enthusiasm and friendliness created an enjoyable and interactive dining atmosphere.

Overall, my visit to this Korean BBQ restaurant was a memorable one. The friendly staff, combined with the clean and inviting ambiance, made for an exceptional dining experience. The high-quality, delicious food further solidified this place as my go-to spot for Korean BBQ.

Having visited Gogi the second time around, the experience of having Euna serve us made it better. She's attentive to our requests and her calming voice while explaining the menu made it more enticing and easy to pick our orders. Definitely the best in town. Thanks Euna!

We are regulars in Gogi korean BBQ and the staff are always friendly and fast. Specially today, our server Hana was quick to take our order and is always smiling. BEST korean bbq in Calgary and best staff as well.

Came here last week to celebrate a reunion at around 5pm. Food was a 7/10. Was not really A fan of their service, no enthusiasm and not very welcoming, they all seem to be shy and in a rush. We noticed they did not really check up on customers or their needs even as simple as refilling waters. We were even confused as to who our main server was. I also do not like how we have a time limit for eating there. It takes away the whole experience and we felt rushed trying to finish our food while the server and host kept nagging us that we had 10 mins to finish our food while our new order just came in still needing to be cooked. Please improve on your reservation and waitlist system, we understand it gets busy but your system seems unfair to the customers who are already eating inside. Our experience was very disappointing.

Good place, it has great food and pretty affordable for the price (all you can eat). Although, service could be a bit faster it was busy so it could be expected. Also could use another ice machine lol.

Brought my pregnant wife here for a date, and it was a wonderful experience! They were so accommodating and despite it being just the two of us, we were given one of the larger booths with the comfortable seats. Our server Jason was attentive and everything we needed from explanation of their menu portion sizes, to payment was covered. The portion sizes were large, we were especially happy with the LA Galbi. The bi-bimbap was a little lackluster, but it didn't take away from the experience. 100% would eat here again and again and again!

Superb experience! There’s no waiting time even at a Saturday lunch time. Authentic korean food served and they had a great service. Surely we’ll come back. We were helped by Hana at she was so prompt at oir orders and requests.

This place is a big vibe! Was scared about a long wait and we were quoted at 30 minutes but genuinely only waited 5. The portions are super fair and I couldn’t believe the price for all you can eat is only $28! Racquel, our server, was such a gem and we will definitely be back to this swanky establishment.

The portion sizes for bbq, bibimbap and stew are great size to share. A great bonus is unlimited sides and rice, even if you don’t choose off the AYCE menu.

The staff is so friendly. Nathan was such an informative server. Highly recommend if you want something chill.

Gogi is one of my all time favourite Korean-style (all-you can eat) barbecue spots in the city. They have a pretty decent menu and the complimentary sides (freshly steamed rice, kimchi, pickled turnip, seaweed, and sesame paste is a bonus. The pork belly and takoyaki is a must!

Wonderful experience with no wait time. The food was delicious and the service was absolutely amazing. Our server Jason was really helpful and made our day better. Would absolutely recommend if you are a fan of BBQ, Asian cuisine, or all you can eat.

Went for a family lunch and ordered around 10 lbs of meat in total, totally worth the price we paid and the experience. It was fun to watch our meat cook in front of us, and to be able to cook it ourselves. Side dishes were tasty, seasoning was perfect, and staff was friendly. Definitely recommend in the future!

The food and price here is good, the only issue is the staff. I came with a good sized group, and when we went up to pay, there was no one at the front table. We waited a couple minutes and a lady finally came. I paid first, and she asked me which table we were sat at. I tried to explain the location of our table as best as I could and she smacked her tongue and stormed off into the restaurant to find where we were sat. Extremely rude and distasteful behaviour from this waitress, the guy who served our table was amazing though.

I can now understand why the parking lot is always full here. We ordered the $59 set 1, which included: vegetable dumplings, beef, chicken and pork to grill, pork bone soup, rice and salad. Meat quality and food quantity was on point, we were so full afterwards. The only other thing I have to mention was our server was a little forgetful of things we requested and she did not know the menu very well.

If you want to cook Korean bbq on a grill, this is the one you can try! Everything’s good and servers are nice but just they are so busy all the time…might have to wait at least 30mins at dinner time.

Gogi is one of my frequent go-tos for korean food. Their AYCE is worth it but make sure to come ready to chow down. One of my other favourites when im not doing AYCE is one of their dinner combos that lets you pick the meat and soup. I love the spicy pork bone soup especially

Not the best experience we had. We went here for the first time because of the great reviews but our experience was definitely on the other side. The place is not comfortable to eat in, food is okay nothing special, service is bad unfortunately. We had to wait for a long time only to be served with few pcs of meat to cook and eat, they also forgot to give us a few of our orders, the guy said that the kitchen forgot us, plus points for being honest I guess… It’s definitely good to try this place once but there are few better Korean bbq in the city to go.

TL;DR. If you're craving (Korean style) BBQ to the point that you're going to burst but you know that next/last bite will taste just as good as your first then Gogi is where you want to be!

Longer story. I've been going here many years and the Owner and staff have always been pleasant and friendly. The food is delicious and it's obvious that's the case since they don't take reservations (as of writing) and if you show up closer to 6pm be prepared to wait for your table.

They have a second location downtown (Gogi Korean Kitchen) that's more tapas/snacks/lunch/quick meal style that's been open since April'21 so check them out and support the (local) cause!

Seriously Incredible! Loved the Bulgogi Beef, chicken and pork belly (beef being the favourite - melt in your mouth) - all at amazing prices. As well, enjoyed the veggie dumplings fried sweet sour chicken/pork and takoyaki!
