Yesterday, Thursday, October 12,2023 the driver of the bus my daughter was on crashed into a car at an intersection.
I was told by golden arrow that the bus had a slight issue with another vehicle.
I was told that no one was hurt and my daughter was transported to school.
I called her school (Evensdale Elementary) I was told that she was a bit frazzled by the situation. But not about the actual situation.
Later that day when my daughter came home from school, She didn't even remember to go to the neighbors. Which is where she's supposed to go on Thursdays.
My daughter's face is visibly bruised and she was complaining about pain in her upper body.
I took her to hospital and it was confirmed she had a concussion and bruising on her face as well as shoulder damage from brassing herself from a collision!
She proceeded to tell me that the driver had crashed into another car.
She said the driver called someone else first and told the police a different story from what happened and what was said to whom ever he had called.

My child was injured and they tried to hide it!
We will be making a proper police report today

Went and trained with them for a class 2 bus driver and the trainer Trish was so rude and impatient slapping the front of her seat when I messed up, and when trying to start light convo with her totally shut me down, got super mad when I could not do a parallel park for my first try they need new training strategies and a new trainer everyday going to train with her was dreadful and never wanted to go but after all that she told me I’d make a good bus driver just not for golden arrow, best decision on her part cause I got a job with southland and have been working with t th em for four years now don’t bother with this company come work for southland they have awesome staff the supervisors are so polite and kind and they’re fleet is great clean buses

Ha. Here I am thinking Southland was bad. Kids just started taking the bus on Wednesday and GA has been late 2/3 days. Not to mention the GPS is never on, or if it is, it’s the wrong bus.

If your telling me the bus will be late on an email it mean F all if I can’t see where the h3ll you are on the map to make sure we’re at the stop. Otherwise they’ll just keep driving.

Dirty coach buses. Some rude drivers. Would never use them but the company i work for uses for our transportation to job site. Have to give most drivers verbal directions for they do not get supplied with the. So wish we would go back to diversified.

Your bus late every week to pick up my son to send school how about this freezing weather and none of the house hold can drive and busy working too like you guys.

If I could give zero stars I would. This company is atrocious! Constant delays, rude staff, and an overall waste of money. I would NOT recommend for charter or school service, absolute nightmare!

Absolutely horrible for three years now they can't be on time to save their lives they would lie to you and tell you the bus was there now that they have the app they get to be anywhere from 60 to 95 minutes late with no explanation day after day and you get to pay for that privilege

Buses seem like there going to fall apart at any given moment, there are never on time, they leave workers standing in the freezing cold instead of loading, had no heat driving to firebag in -30, almost rolled over in the ditch another time, the worst bus company ever

They have yet to pick up my daughter for school she is 4 I don't drive so we have to walk to her school she is late because they never come. The school calls them about it and they don't care. Should we trust this people with our kids. Thanks for giving my child a negative look on school

Booked a bus for a family trip, it was amazing experience. Bus was very competitive and the driver was very easy to deal with.

My 7 year old child was dropped on a wrong location on bus number 5183. It was a horrific day for us luckly he found his way back but i do not trust their service.

Worst company to work for, they take advantage of the visible minority. They poached industrial drivers from another major busing company up in Fort Mac with lots of unfulfilled promises. They also short pay drivers on their regular payroll. I personally know someone whom we tracked his hours daily and reported any missing hours with on-site project supervisors/management to fall on false promises of getting them paid on the following payroll. Many drivers have experienced this. The union is a joke and no help. Over $3000 in missing payroll for one driver over a 3 month period is ridiculous. Oh and if you think HR will help good luck!

Worst service ever. I’m paying a monthly fee only to have to send my kids in an Uber all the time. The drivers are always different one day the head office didn’t even know we’re the bus was or who was driving it. They are always late. The drivers are rude and don’t care that have kids on their bus. These are our children and we demand safety for them. And when I call the office the lady named may is usually pretty rude. Next yr my kids will not be using this bus.

Bus route 544 Summerside/Jan Reimer School Chronic late bus service, moreso for am pickup than afternoon return since the start of school year 2021. Completely unreliable and unpredictable, will often receive late bus notification 5-10min after the scheduled pickup time. I spoke with a manager 6 months ago who assured me he would look into my concerns but nothing has changed. I spoke to a junior CSR today for the same concerns and was told the bus "has only been late 20 times", inferring this is considered normal, if not better than average. On what planet is it acceptable for a bus service, that I'm paying to transport my child, to not be there 20 times? Guess who has to be late for work driving my kid to school? The sad reality is these carrier contracts are lucrative, so no corporate incentive to improve and parents aren't able to pick and choose carriers. AVOID IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. If not, you better have an understanding employer.

My daughter boards her bus at 7am and I was there at 6: 50am incase the bus came early. Five minutes past 7am, I tried to use the GPS tracker (which wasn't working and they were "trying to fix the error"), but it was down. Then, 20 minutes had passed. I called Golden arrow to find out why the bus had been late this woman answered the phone so rude, cutting me off and said "well she said she's been at all of her stops today". I told her exactly what happened yet she still cut me off without regard and repeated herself. I told her there's no reason to lie. Are you calling me a liar? She said if i wanted to call you a liar I would tell you directly that you're a liar. As I was asking for a manager, she hung up on me. Can you believe these are the kind of people who are working in places that involve our children? Complete B. S! Staff with poor attitude like this should NOT be working in places of customer service especially when it concerns parents children. Golden arrow has been having many issues lately, it's even been reported on CTV Edmonton News! It all begins at the top. Management should really do a reassessment with everyone because this isn't acceptable. They should ALWAYS have the tracker available, these are our children for goodness sake! Hire better staff or let everyone work under new management that enforces customer retention & loyalty. I could not believe the way the woman was speaking to me. Highly unprofessional staff & from the reviews I'm seeing, there is CLEARLY a common denominator. Management & staff need replacement or reassessing because this shouldn't be happening. Your staff are highly rude, the bus drivers are reporting being at the bus stop when they are NOT. Get new bus drivers who actually like this job then! You will lose a lot of customers if you continue this way. No one wants to be treated this way, especially when it comes to our kids.

The "How is my driving? " number on the back of the buses is all for show. Had a seriously close call with a bus today and couldn't get through to speak to anyone on any line, or even leave a message as all message boxes were full. After finally getting through on the dispatch line the woman wouldn't even let me finish telling her what happened, just cut me off asking for the bus number, then when I expressed my concern about the children being in harm's way under the care of this driver, she replied with "Mhm. "

A truely horrible company.

Bus driver is never on time, no information whatsoever is provided. The bus driver doesnot worry about children's safety at all, i.e. Is driving carelessly and children are not sitting in the bus. AVOID THIS COMPANY!

Golden Arrow Bus never showed, dispatch lied about the bus being on its way. It never left, leaving our team to be even later waiting for a bus that was never going to show. Big thanks to Edmonton Sky Shuttle for helping us out last minute!

All things considered the driver was doing a good job.
However driving behind a school bus (378) that had NO stop lights, on an icy road was pretty nerve racking. So I noted the "how's my driving" number and called to report that the SCHOOL BUS had no stop lights and the back should probably be cleaned for better visibility. All mailboxes, including safety were full. Seriously?
Hopefully not just from one days worth of complaints

This bus company does have good employees. My daughters bus driver doesn’t pay attention to the roads, he texts and drives, is always late to pick them up, speeds, goes and sees his friends at parking lots and McDonald’s while he is dropping kids of at school, tries to take away kids phones, gives the children bus infractions for no reason, and my daughter once said he looked as if he was doing drugs while he was dropping them of at home.

When I called customer service to complain they didn’t care about the quality of their service and hung up. That is so disrespectful. Why do you hire people that don’t do their job.

I have been talking to many parents about the bus driver and they all say that they just hang up or say they are busy and they can’t talk. Someone that is on-call is supposed to be on- call doing their work, but instead they are neglecting their work.

Everyday my daughter wakes up scared to go onto the bus and she cries everyday after school because she is traumatized because she will have to experience the same routine again.

Everyday the bus gets into and accident and the bus driver doesn’t report it. They are instructed to but does he NO!

Please fix this issue.

The bus driver for the yellow bus 332 is always yelling to kids. Moreover, he didn't stop to pick up my kids today. They were waiting at the bus stop and waving for him as he passed by and waved no back to them.
