Golden Peach Wax Bar Downtown

Golden Peach is by far the #1 waxing place in all of Calgary! All the girls here are absolutely wonderful & so friendly, & make every wax experience comfortable. Brynn is my go to golden gal & I always have a pleasure of catching up with her at every appointment. Keep up the amazing work ladies! Highly recommend!

We went here for our first time getting waxed and it was a great experience! Brynn was so welcoming and the entire atmosphere really was judgement free. Definitely recommend this place.

I had a wonderful experience today with Mindy. I was a bit late and the staff was super helpful with helping me find where to go and were so kind once I arrived. Mindy is amazing at what she does! Super friendly, comforting, funny, and professional. Would highly recommend her for Brazilian wax. Will be coming back

These lovely ladies make you feel comfortable and welcomed! Also they are excellent at their work and the whole process is quick and relatively painless compared to other places. I would give this place an 11/10 if I could!

A Disappointing First Time Experience

My recent visit to Golden Peach Wax Bar for a Brazilian and underarms waxing session left me with mixed feelings. Despite having an appointment scheduled for 5: 55 PM, the experience felt somewhat unwelcoming.

Upon arriving at the building, I encountered a group of people also entering. As the instructions indicated the use of a buzzer, I opted to wait, not wanting to disrupt their entry. After they proceeded, I promptly buzzed in. However, the elevator took its time before arriving at the ground floor, adding to the delay.

By the time I reached the front desk, it was exactly 6: 00 PM- 5 min after the appointment time. Unfortunately, this minor delay resulted in a strict adherence to the punctuality policy. I was informed that their schedule was tightly packed and there might not be adequate time to complete both services. Consequently, I was charged for the full price of both treatments.

This experience left me feeling somewhat unwelcome. It seemed that a touch more understanding in this scenario could have greatly improved the overall impression. Unforeseen delays like elevator wait times and building entry procedures should be taken into account, especially for first-time visitors.

Although the staff remained professional, the atmosphere didn't exude the warmth and welcome I had anticipated from Golden Peach Wax Bar. The quality of the service provided, however, was commendable.

It is my belief that the slight delay of five minutes should not have significantly impacted the overall duration of my underarm waxing appointment. Typically, underarm waxing sessions are known to take between 10 to 15 minutes. Given this standard timeframe, a brief delay should have been well within reason.

Moreover, I would like to emphasize that if Golden Peach Wax Bar was at full capacity for the day and unable to accommodate my appointment, it would have been prudent to communicate this prior to confirming the appointment. This would have allowed for a more transparent and considerate approach to scheduling.

I hope that this feedback will be taken into account in order to create a more flexible and understanding environment for clients in the future.

I would normally read reviews carefully before trying out a new place. Plus, waxing isn't a normal service you would just trust someone or someplace to get it done.

Wow! This was my first ever Brazilian wax, and saying I was nervous is an understatement. As soon as I walked in everybody was very friendly. Bailey (my waxer) was incredibly professional, and made the whole experience super comfortable for me. I’m so thankful I got her for my first time, and will for sure keep coming back! Literally my favourite waxing place! I refuse to go anywhere else, the staff is amazing and they always make my visits very comfortable. Getting a Brazilian can be really nerve racking but I’ve never felt more safe than when I’m with these girls. Thank you so much!

From the first time I came into the south trail location shortly after they opened I was treated respectfully and at ease, started with my brows and now they take care of all my waxing needs I appreciate all the reminders they send as well as I always forget my appointment times/days

Would love to know why we can't create our own star rating system here because y'all, 5 stars is NOT ENOUGH for Golden Peach! I have lived in 6 major cities in 3 countries over the last 10 years and have tried more than my fair share of different wax bars & services. Golden Peach is by far, the easiest, most professional but also most relaxed and efficient wax experience I have ever had. When I try to think of the right and best words to describe Amie, founder of Golden Peach, I just can't. Saying her and her waxing technique that all other golden girls are trained on, is amazing just doesn't do the experience justice. If you've been looking for a new place to wax your peach or whatever you may have.look no further!

Amie is AMAZING! She is a heaven sent angel. She went above and beyond to ensure I was able to get a wax for my vacation. She’s normally at the south location but made a trip downtown to accommodate me. Best wax I’ve ever had. I HIGHLY recommend her.

My first time coming here after searching for a good brazilian wax salon. I had the opportunity to get a wax from Aime who was super nice and made me feel very comfortable! She was very informative of the process and the aftercare as-well. It was hard to find parking considering it is located in downtown so you should give yourself some time to find street parking or indigo parking. Overall, great wax bar and I will definitely be coming back for my wax needs!
