Jordon has been so polite and fantastic with respecting people and showing them that they belong at the gym he really cares about each and every mammal in the gym and he tries to keep people involved in their daily workout and constantly motivated to come back to Golds Gym and to better themselves he greets each and every person and he makes my best friend and I love the gym and come back to joke around and push each other. Fareed also helps people laugh and want to come back he makes jokes and chuckles and helps when needed with machinery and makes everyone want to get involved and push themselves harder

Great gym to workout. Harsh the manager and fareed are both always nice and respectful. Other staff is usually respectful as well. Can get a decent workout in even in rush hours. Overall, 8.5/10. Washrooms do get busy in rush hour tho. So you might have to wait a little, not complaining but just an fyi.
After working out here for a couple years I started going to the vet instead of the doctor. Pretty sure these guys inject humidity and annavar into the air which really takes your workout to the next level. The weights are heavier here. Best gym in Calgary

Ive been going here for almost 2 years now and i gotta say this is probably the best golds gym out of the 3… every worker is nice, friendly and outgoing! I usually go at night so I always see Branzh… hes the front desk guy…he’s helped me alot through my fitness journey by always welcoming me and everyone in the gym with a smile. …Highly recommend looking for him when you guys visit and promise you wont be disappointed!
I’ve only been to this gym once and I had a great experience, one of the workers named Brans was very welcoming and a helpful employee. He had a very positive attitude that eased my nerves.
I recently had a consultation with Jeff on how best to attain my fitness and nutritional goals. I received way more out of this than expected. After taking measurements using a body scan device I was given the results of where I currently stand in my fitness journey. This was invaluable; everyone should get this done. Jeff provided clear nutritional info geared towards my needs, informed me on the different services offered, and provided a safe environment free from judgment. Thank you so much Jeff! Wanted to do a drop in and was refused because I was from out of town and the fact they check ID's is what makes it even weirder, never have I needed ID to drop in at a gym. Always dreamt of going to a golds as I'm from a small town.now I have golds to thank for a crushed dream thanks a lot. P.s. Wish I could rate zero stars
This review is for Maria in childcare - we just love her. She is always engaging with the kids, on the floor coloring, bringing them special treats, etc. I even asked if she babysits outside of the gym because she is that amazing! Don't ever leave.
Absolutely terrible. I went here for a few years and during the pandemic they charged my bank account for the few months they were CLOSED. I asked for a refund and they made me call a third party who was supposedly in charge of payments, went through hell trying to get answers because they refused to refund me even though the person who was helping me agreed it was wrong. Seriously unethical. They admitted it was wrong but just can’t do it, does that make any sense? I was so mad I asked to cancel my account, and they charged me for that too. They lost a loyal client, and if anyone asks me about this gym I’ll tell them it’s complete BS.

Best gym! Manager is super nice and is always helpful. Its clean and all equipments are set up at appropriate distance to make it look more clean. Love the staff here and really enjoy working out.

I wanted to take some time to rave about Tim, he opened my brother's account at Golds and has been so supportive as an employee and someone who overall cares about his members and reasons for being at the gym. I was so happy when he set up my account providing as much information to the questions asked and gave me said he'll always be around if there was anything I needed. For the time time since signing back up to a gym I believed that. Thank you for your continued support and great customer service. You rock!
Literally the worst gym I have ever had to deal with. Women's area has barely any working machines and extremely dirty. They coerce their new registrants to post up a 5 star review for a waive of registration fees. After exemption program was mandated, I tried calling over 20 times to discuss what to do with my account as we could not enter the establishment. I have left multiple voicemails and sent emails as to which they never respond to except to tell me “you signed a contract. ” No duh. They charged me over $200 for registering then a couple months later (after exemption program) want me to pay another cancellation fee. Get a grip. I had to deal with ABC fitness for a month before they got back to me and let me know I had to talk to Golds Gym. That’s when I continued to call them and no response, even TILL today. The funny thing is I have proof of every phone call and voicemail. Some weirdo named Sukh Ghuman emailed me with a final collection notice without ever contacting me prior to or letting me know what the total amount is. He is refusing to take any phone calls with me because this gym is gross and unprofessional. I highly recommend going to GoodLife if you can. I used to be with them and they are much much better at dealing with things and more understanding.golds tells you to email or call them but never respond. Be very weary of this gym! They are absolute scammers and have to bribe customers to give them good reviews. Guess I’ll have to take them to court, don’t hassle yourself like I did with this ghetto gym. Just don’t sign up at all.

They offer a tonne of different equipment, which makes it easy to get through your workout with minimal delay. Although it can seem intimidating at first, some people helped me out when they noticed I looked lost a couple times ahah
I transferred my account months ago due to an accident I was in. I’ve had to come in person multiple times, and was told my account was transferred and cancelled. Tim the GM I spoke with said “ok your account is cancelled for sure now” Now I’m still getting charged AGAIN and have not been refunded. I’m not one to leave reviews but the service has been absolutely awful. They owe me over $100 and I’ve not been to this facility in months. The other person is still using the gym and getting charged as well. I’m not sure why it’s such a hard job to properly transfer a cancel account, or if they just want to keep collecting money for me. Either way poor service and communication.

My actual name is Andrew, I'm a real person. I was a member of Golds gym for a few months before I had to terminate our contract due to a change in my living situation. During the time I was there I noticed the gym, and it's equipment, were impressive and offered any kind of training materials you could require for your fitness needs including: functional fitness, martial arts equipment, a pool, and a sauna in addition to the standard weights and powerlifting. The staff were super friendly and the gym was clean. I see there are a lot of reviews on here about how Gold's gym acts unfairly or makes charges to your account that don't make sense. I can assure you that the frustration those reviewers felt are NOT a fair reflection of Golds Gym's business practices. They are a very reasonable company and are more than willing to work with you if you have any kind of problems. Tim and the team at Golds gym at Northgate were extremely helpful when I was having problems with my membership. Dealing with a payment processor can be difficult and lead to a game of broken telephone sometimes, but as soon as my concerns were raised, Tim ensured those concerns were corrected instantly right in front of me. If you notice any unusual charges or are having any kind of concerns with your membership, my advice to you is to go in personally and speak with one of the staff members there. They will do everything in their power to help you. Just be patient and polite, and they will ensure you are a happy customer. I strongly recommend Golds Gym to anyone who wants to work out at a professional, top-tier gym. Secure those gains!
I used to love this gym and go frequently but it’s such a pain to cancel. They try to make you jump through loop holes for a basic cancelation but when it comes to taking funds it’s like night and day. You need to call a third party company which in return tells you to email them after being on hold. “This is the procedure set by the gym” which was said by the third party company so in other words they just want you to become very discouraged by trying to do a simple cancelation. For a gym that boasts they have great facilities but doesn’t even have a simple infrastructure to process a cancelation is a joke.
Also I been with this gym for over 5 years they don’t give you anything as a loyal customer, they never lowered my monthly after my contract finished they say they give you referral bonuses but you have to hound the sales rep to add it to your account. This whole place is a circus!
The worst service ever, this is way (when I signed up in the gym I used my debit card) I received a message that something was wrong with my account so I went to the front desk and they told me that everything was ok, some weeks later they told me that I have to pay 77$ because they tried to charger the monthly payment to my debit card and it was negated, so I told them hat wasn't my mistake because the didn't tell me that I have to use my credit card (the knew that I used my debit card when I signed up in the gym). Now I paid for they communication mistake.
If I could put less than a star I would.this place is so unprofessional. They say they're. 24hrs but no one EVER ANSWERS THE LINE! I've been calling for 3 days straight n still no answer.what the heck is the front desk person getting paid for? To watch movies on the screen & eat all shift? !? !
WARNING: When there is a global pandemic, Gold's will continue to charge you monthly fees even though they couldn't provide a service during that time, they still told my husband he needed to pay up. Struggling financially during pandemic layoffs? Too bad. Gold's needs that cold hard cash:) When he tried to cancel his membership last month, customer service told him July would be his last payment after paying an insane $100 to cancel. Guess what? Surprise surprise, payments are still coming out now in August. Absolutely livid and will never recommend this scam of a place to anyone ever. So greedy that it's disgusting.
Don’t sign it is a trap. Just to make it clear the gym itself is very well equipped and accessible however.
I was a very unsatisfied with their appealing methodology. During my signing off a contract which is beyond two years now, the agreement was obscure and written in a very small font. Be careful when you’re signing a contract and don’t rely on what the salesman tells you. There we’re few details I did not pay attention to. I signed for two years contract and it turned out that there is about $50 fee which I pay to improve the gym. The problem is not the payment itself but not knowing that it did exist. Also, we are paying monthly fees I assume for using the gym. It is not our responsibility to improve the gym. It’s the management responsibility to improve The gym for us. Saying so I was checking my account and despite that my agreement have finished when my two-year contract is finished I was still paying $50 yearly for the gym improvement. Also during Covid time the gym was closed in the last year and a half almost for nearly 6 to 8 months I kept trying to get a refund for those and I was not able to. I wanted to pause my membership and I was provided with an email. I sent an email however they were in the process of changing a billing company so I did not get a response. I was paying for three months where I was outside the country.
Also canceling your membership it’s a big hassle to you need to remember that in order to cancel your membership they need to direct you to a phone number they will not buy any circumstances cancel your membership in the gym. Despite that you did your membership in the gym you cannot pause or cancel your membership from them you need to call a company in the working hours which is very own convenient. I got the number and I gave them a shout so after 15 minutes waiting time in about seven minutes of communicating The issue and the guy listens he finally told me well sir you need to send an email to our company and in a matter of few days we will respond to you with a confirmation. However, despite that your membership Agreement is two years and you are beyond that, you still need to give us a one month advance where will you will be paying full amount of fees before we cancel your membership. I sent an email today and we will wait to hear back from them.
I’ve heard a lot about communication issues with this particular gym I did not agree with a lot of it however definitely payment is an issue with them and they will never refund you a dollar. One other issue I had with them is my personal trainer. I assigned for three months personal trainer and I paid the full amount as they ask me. However my personal trainer quit the gym and somehow this was my issue. Instead of refunding me back for the last three sessions remaining they ask me to agree to go with another personal trainer and it wasn’t an option. It’s either you join another trainer or you lost your money. I ended up losing all of my money money.
Over or are you recommend you to find some other gym

No doubt its a kinda good place to get some sweat but at what cost? I guess almost whoever joined membership here to date can explain their business practices. E.g; ohh whats this extra charge on credit statement? Let me call them… most deadbeat reply: > sorry! Third party handles our accounts here is their number period. Better business bureau of calgary should keep them under radar.

Crooks! Don't sign up here. They charged me more than I would have paid IF the gym was open when it wasn't (ie full fees, plus "Freeze" fees). I canceled, complained about the extra charges to no resolution, paid a cancellation fee, only to be charged AGAIN after the cacellation. Absolute FRAUD. I will be reporting this to my bank and never going back.
I have been going to Northgate since the day it opened. I soon got to know the owners Kelly & Veronica as they were very friendly, Gloria who has been at the front desk is and has been very professional & friendly has been there for quite a few years, They just put in new cross over/ back stations just a few weeks ago they look great! I Love the gym.but really it is about the people who work there and the members.
Only reason I’m giving it 1 star is because I can’t give it a zero. Just terrible the way they treat their members and the way they do things. Even though gym is closed they are still charging my account regardless. They said they stopped the charging on jan17 but I still got charged on the 21. I tried to call and email they didn’t answer or even get back to me. Stay away from golds gym
They kept charging after 1 year contract was done. Even so they still wouldn't let me in without signing up again, but still kept taking money for 4 months after and wouldn't cancel it either. Had to call my bank to resolve this. I got my money back and they send me a $400 invoice after lol. These guys are straight up p! Gs what a shame as the gym itself is probably the best in town. Will never sign up again just for this greed.
Kept charging customers during a PANDEMIC shut down and then had the gall to comment this (screenshot attached) in the local paper. Obvious the owner doesn't care about its members. Also, this gym was filthy pre-pandemic. There are better gyms to go to, I'd steer clear of this one.
