Golf Town

I go to this location quite often, and have bought a lot of clubs and equipment. The staff are all nice, always ask if i need assistance, and I've never had a negative experience. I would recommend these guys for all your golf needs.

Why are your staff rude for no reason? I went in and got some gloves and the cashier was just rude for no reason. No greeting at all. Then I said “thanks appreciate it” at the end and the guy just ignored it. Is it like a huge privilege to shop at your store?

Bought a new Cobra radspeed driver and it came apart on the second round I used it. Brought it in, and while the staff are friendly, I am not impressed that I have to wait around a month for a less then 30 day old driver to get warrantied. Now I either have to buy another driver or finish the year without a driver.

I have dealt with the Ian, the Manager of Golftown Shawnessy for a lot of years now. He is the main reason I have spent thousands of dollars buying products in the store and online. His knowledge, personality and superior customer service has attracted my business throughout the years and I will always look to his professional opinion for all my golf purchasing needs! This person deserves praise and recognition for his efforts! Many many thanks for this Golf Town representative!

I was in golf town looking at a new driver. I had the pleasure of dealing with Jim. He made me feel at ease and was very knowledgeable and kind! As an inexperienced golfer it can be intimidating…. Jim made it a fabulous experience! Thank you!

Do not trust their pro shop. They are horrible and do not stand behind their work. I wish I could give negative starts. They reshaped one of my clubs and it broke on the first swing. We took it to a club builder and he confirmed they did it wrong. Stay as far away as possible!

Went in to try new clubs, service was great, Ian set me on their simulator with 4 clubs from each set I was interested in, and found the set I was please with, the simulator will tell spin rates, yardage, club head speed, launch height and much more. The experience was very good and ended up buying a new set.

Staff is always pretty helpful, greet you when you are in their section and answer questions but also leave you to shop on your own if that’s what you prefer. Tons of selection.

Took 5 of my clubs in recently for some new grips Dan had me out of there under an hour, good workmanship would recommend

I went in yesterday to try out a few drivers.
Rachel and Gill helped me out and they were very very helpful.i ended up not buying any but even till the end Gill was nothing but supportive of my decision.i will be going back there again and look for Gill if i am ever in need of anything golf related

Customer service needs a lot work. Came in on a Saturday and it wasn’t overly busy. Greeted as soon as I walked in which was good. Told the fellow that I needed some grips done and he directed me to the service desk. I stood there for a solid 5 minutes while two people worked on clubs. They looked at me several times and said nothing. I was holding several clubs and obviously needed some work done. Another woman showed up, started working on the computer, looked at me a few times kept working away and completely ignored me. Beyond poor customer service. I ended up walking out without getting my grips done. I’ll take my business somewhere else. Very disappointing.
The only reason this isn’t 1 star is because of the guy actually doing his job greeting people as they walk in and giving them direction on what they’re looking for. Do better golf town. Do better.

After having some initial problems, the management team reached out to me personally and shown genuine care for me. I am very impressed with how they went the extra mile for their customer - it’s great to see that kind of customer care. I will definitely continue coming back to this location! Scott was absolutely phenomenal - very caring, polite and great professionalism.

If I could give this place a 0 stars I would. Bought a $1500 golf club set, had the driver break within 30 days of my purchase and have been waiting over 5 weeks for something to get done. 5 weeks in Calgary weather is half the golf season. Poor customer service from this place basically blaming Cobra for everything, no accountability from the vendor or the place that sold the equipment.

Update: Worked with Scott the manager, and he got everything resolved in a week. Happy with how things turned out.

I was mistakenly charged for a book that I was supposed to receive for free. I phoned and they said I needed to come back to the store and return the book for a credit. When I got back to the store they decided to give me the book for free and $20 off the club's I had previously purchased for my inconvenience of having to drive back to the store. I was impressed. I haven't seen this type of positive customer service in a long time. Way to go Golf Town Shawnessey! A happy customer.

Had outstanding service today. Incredibly insightful and thoughtful about what kind of clubs my wife would need (xmas gift shopping for her). An incredible selection by the way.great parking which is a bonus at christmastime. I am so happy i went there today that even though it's way at the bottom of the city, I will be happy to go again and again.thank you very much. I apologize as i don't recall the young man's name who helped me but man he was awesome

Awful customer service. Arrived right at 10am for opening and had one person attempt to help after 15 minutes. He wasn’t a “putter expert” but didn’t proceed to find someone to help help. Walked around the story for another 30 minutes and didn’t have any one acknowledge us. Suggest this team is addressed. Most of the time they sat around talking to each other. Will make an effort to visit other golf retailers.

Visiting from Ontario and was looking to get a putter re-gripped. I was really impressed with the hospitality and service of the entire team. I’ve been to many Golf Town stores and it was great to see how knowledgeable and helpful all the staff were as I walked around the store overhearing the help they were giving other customers. So great to see! I ended buying some shoes there as well! Keep it up.

I was in the area and needed some items, so I stopped in. Picked up a glove and some golf balls. Lots of golf related items to see and buy. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Quick checkout.

Staff was very friendly and eager to assist me and go out of their way to look for a club in the back that wasn't on display.

Great selection of higher end golf clubs but I was looking for beginners clubs and found the selection to be very narrow.

Great store to get some golf gear. Staff work hard the whole time helping all the customers. Got a wide range of gear for every level

It was okay, but I preferred GOLF TRADERS on McLeod trail for re gripping. The price and customer service is better there. I was told this golf town was good. They were fine but I preferred the experience at GOLF TRADERS.

My Husband & I just Purchased new golf clubs from here. The Employee who helped us (Gilles) was amazing! Answered all of our questions & helped both of us find the clubs we were looking for. He was very friendly and made the whole experience of being in store very enjoyable. I highly recommend you seek him out if your looking for new clubs. Thanks for all your help Gilles!

Maria and Corbin were very helpful. Corbin found me a Miura wedge in the back that i had been looking weeks for, everyone said i would have to place an order and wait months but he put in the extra effort to search the whole store.

Great place! The customer service is unlike any other store I've been to. I've spent many hours combing through their selection- while being respectfully left alone. When I do need assistance, the staff is attentive, so friendly, and so incredibly helpful! Golf Town is now the first place and usually the only place I go for my club ＆ bag needs.

Very helpful staff. Boxing week sales were decent and the selection of equipment is good. Flash sales online did not match pricing in store so they had to price match at the till

I was in your store Sunday Dec. 01 around 2 pm and Tuesday Dec. 04 around 11 am and the service is horrible. I was looking in the store for 10 min for help and 2 girls on cash one with one customer and the other one fixing her her when i asked her about item she just told me to look in the back instead of walking and show me. Today the same one guy with customer talking and the other one standing and playing on her phone instead of coming and helping us.never again to the sore and never recommended to anyone

Matt was a great help with selecting a new driver shaft for me. He was patient and took the time to help address my needs. I Will be back to pick up some new hybrids. Thanks again for the great service

Great customer service from everybody we spoke to. Very rare to find a shop with the exceptional service of Golf Town Shawnessy.

I frequently can't seem to find what I'm looking for here. Last week when I was there I couldn't even find a pair of rain gloves. They stock very little of the Tiger Woods Nike clothing I like among other things. I will continue to make most of my golf related clothing purchases at the PGA superstore when I'm in the US.

Today, Sat. July 6 10 to 50 % off any purchase including sale items! How could a person not love this place today!?
