Golf Town

It's hard to find customer experience like the one that the Golf Town crew provides. Felt at home with no pressure and very knowlddgable people who helped me from begining to end listening to my needs and finding what works best. Big shout out to the whole staff at Golf Town south common and especially Rod.

Henry is the man! Set me up with my putter grip and he loves to talk shop when it comes to golf! Always fun stopping at Golftown.

We visited this location today looking for some new clubs. Ryan on the sales floor was absolutely amazing and patient as we were looking at several different options! This was by far the best experience we had at golf town. Also the cashier was super friendly and was super patient even though she had a line up! Glad we can back to the Edmonton location as we had horrible experiences in the Calgary location.

We will be back for sure to finish our upgrading! Thanks again Ryan!

Went in with a budget. Not one of the reps pushed me to go over budget and helped find items within said budget.

Bought 1 glove and a shoe at this place tested them out on the driving range once didn’t like them. Didn’t let me return them this place is a total ripoff I had them for 3 days never coming back here again. Could not recommend enough to stay away.

Overall, the manager Murray may seem friendly at the door, but makes you feel anxious to leave as he is not very personable or compromising. After buying a club for over $800, I wanted to instantly return it and go to DeBoer's and pay more. Luckily, Tate was there, and saved my experience.

Overall, if you are looking for golf clubs, and can get them somewhere that people care about how that club helps or benefits you, check out somewhere else. Maybe DeBoer's, they seemed great.

(Not every location shows interest) in helping the customer. I live on the Northside and would never do business with 137 ave location. HOWEVER. The South Common Location is fantastic.

I’ve never met a nicer and more professional rep than (“Rod W). He listened, took the extra time and effort to ensure I understood the differences, pro’s and cons on the equipment and answered all questions.

Went in for a fitting for the first time and was amazed at the experience. Markus was phenomenal to work with and helped my game immensely. Props to Andy, as well, for helping me out following the purchase of a couple of new clubs. Great experience and incredibly helpful, as always.

I went to Golf Town looking for new hybrids and a driver. Was helped by Rod W. He was patient, gave good advice, and made sure I was 100% satisfied with the clubs before I made the purchase. Would highly recommend seeking out Rod if you’re in the market for new clubs and want to try some out.

Within the first 3 minutes the manager ran to help us in the shoe department. He offered great advice on leaving room in the toe. He was in full gallop! He helped my daughter, ran around multi-tasking and came back to fit my husband into some shoes. We would have been happy with that but boxers were on a huge discount. Another worker found us an impossible size 28 by finding a similar size in the junior section. Even when we were happy, he came with another pair that were longer in length and $9 cheaper. Big sale on golf gloves had us shopping near snow birds. They were so excited to go South. We got 3 pair of really cool soft gloves. There was an impulse bin of head covers near the till at $10 each. I bought 2 boxes of balls for my salon client gifts. Finally, don't leave without the chapstick at the till. We fought over the flavors in the car. They are excellent! I will always recommend this location. I enjoyed the staff teamwork & professionalism. I can't wait for next season.

Good golf town. Lots of selection for apparel and obviously clubs. I found that this location has a lot more stock then the other Edmonton ones.

Absolutely amazing service at this location! Just want to give a huge shout out to Anthony B, he did everything that he could to get me the best set of clubs with a bag that I liked without being pushy, was extremely informative and personable. 10/10 stars for him alone!

I just bought a new set of clubs from the South Edmonton Location. Before arriving, I called to ask some questions as I am new to the sport and a was lucky to be passed on to very pleasant staff member by the name of Graham. Graham was so knowledgeable, friendly, didn't upsell me on a set I didn't need and took his time to make sure all of my questions were answered. I could not be happier with the level of service I received. I would highly recommend shopping at this store hands down!

Went in this morning looking to pick up a new driver. They let me test out four different drivers, till I choose the Ping G425 SFT. Chantel and her Co-worker were great. Used the club this afternoon and 9 out of 10 shots went straight, besides my usual major slice. Plus I now hit and average of 285, over my usual 250.

Usually a good golf store, but disappointed that their womens golf shoes where very limited, and nothing in my size.

I was helped tremendously by an employee named Jayce who helped me find everything I was looking for and more.

I have had a good experience any time I have gone there. My biggest complaint is how NOBODY ever picks up the phone. I literally called for 7/8 days straight and 3 times a day without anyone picking up and the # was right. I let it ring and ring and nothing. I just wanted to ask about regripping and or extending of clubs. I go there and I couldn't get it done because they had no glue. I could have saved my time if somebody picked up the phone. I think that is so bad for business. You can't be busy 24/7 of the entire day

Subpar compared to other locations: pretty small, sometimes weird layouts of the areas, and inconvenient management decisions (e.g. Completely closing fitting rooms during covid - at least 2 other locations I visited still had at least some open).

Had an issue with a club I bought used. Henry was able to help me and was very patient with my inexperience.

I needed new clubs (my Ping’s were 34 yrs old) and I went to Golf Town and had the pleasure of working with Murray the Asst. Mgr. He was awesome, friendly and knowledgeable with out any pressure to purchase. After discussing my game I tried out Taylor Made Sim2. Never had hit with a graphite shaft before but after two trips to the range I LOVE THEM. Highly recommend anyone looking for an upgrade on their clubs to seek out Murray at South Edmonton Common!

I brought in a 6 iron to be bent 1 degree softer. When i realized the loft, i had a second fitter look into it and what was done is it was bent 9 degrees stronger (looks like a 3 iron). I would not bring any clubs to be modified to this location.

Their selection of women's golf gloves, attire, women's golf anything really is pretty embarrassing. It's discouraging to walk into a store and find absolutely nothing you're looking for.

Been a loyal customer for years.no longer will be.
Got a golf glove given to me for a birthday present that was purchased from here. Went to exchange as wrong size but didn't have the receipt (again b day present) - rep told me company policy cant do anything. They sell the exact glove on shelf and I wasn't looking to get my money back- just exchange for a different size. Sad to see these corporate businesses not bend on something so small. (The glove is $14). Wont be going back. They lose a customer over $14 in todays day and age is sad.

Update:
received a personal phone call from the vp golf town stores Canada. He agreed shouldn’t have happened. We both agreed mistakes get made and he made it right by offering me a gift card to buy a new glove. The store experience the second time to get the new glove from the manager was less than average and showed the culture from corporate to store level isnt the same. I”m just one person but these are things we talk about on the course. Happy they made it right but was hassled by golf town in store for something so easy and it showed they don”t value client experience at this location.

Randy was great. He gave us very good advise and great customer service. We will shop at golf town again.

Great selection and the staff is very knowledgeable. Only issue is price, but you get what you pay for.

One of the best golf supply stores Edmonton. I have always received excellent service. All the major brands of golf clubs are stocked.

Good place to pick up golf balls, shoes and clubs and other accessories. Disappointed in the limited selection of sizes in clothing. Many of us have been asking for larger sizing for years. Sadly, most of our golf clothing shopping is done online at other retailers.

I like this store and really appreciate the women's selection but sometimes the staff ask a few too many times if you need help. I'm an adult, if I need help, I'll let ya know.

No one works here. Could have stolen everything. Decided to look for the guy. Could only find some chump stocking tshirts, who knew nothing about clubs. Found a pro staff guy after 15 minutes. He was even more useless. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Wasn't a big selection of packages to choose from, a lot of nice product and good sales on balls. But I was shopping for my first set and had no one ask me if I needed help until I got to the front counter

The staff make the place. Guys clearly take a lot of pride in what they do and are very educated.

Terrible service. My wife and I went in this morning to get some clubs regripped. We stood at the service counter for 10 minutes waiting for service while 2 staff stood at the end of the counter drinking coffee and chatting while another stood nearby just say dreaming. No one even approached us to establish a dialogue. We ended up leaving and going to another golf store who greeted us at the door and had our clubs regeipped while we waiting.

My husband and I have spent a lot of money at this store. Head Cashier is rude and not friendly at all. The only rep that is good for this store is George. George is the only reason I go back.

Everything golf under one roof. They have an incredible array of golf items and knowledgeable staff that love the game.

Great customer service. Very excited to use my new club after getting a chance to hit a half dozen to try them out.

I learned my lesson to do my homework before i went to this store. No help from employees. I purchased $1200 packaged set of cobra f6 and i didnt know they were regular shafts until i got deep into the sport. If i had help from an expert it would have prevented me from getting regular shafts. $1200 wasted because employees didnt help me in my opinion. I expect if im gonna pay that amount of money i should get proper help. Do your dam jobs its not that hard. I would be honoured to work in a golf store.

The younger sales rep who helped me did a good job, he knows his stuff and can get you set up with the right clubs!
