Good Bread

By far the best bagels in Calgary. My whole family and I drive out every week from the NE and Chestermere just to get bagels from here. That’s how good they are. The Jalapeño Cheddar is my personal favourite, but the sesame is very good too. If you’re not much of a bagel persons, all of their other baked goods are amazing too. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in and around the city of Calgary.

This is one of the best bakeries in Calgary. All loaves are very well made, and the cinnamon rolls are the best in town in my opinion.

Their cruffins are absolutely incredible! My friend gave me one as a gift and I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. Highly recommended.

Excellent bread and buns. 3 minute walk from home. Best bakery ever in our neighborhood. Sourdough and Farmers Buns are amazing. Grain bread is wicked too. Open long hours, very good business.

Great service. Latte was very good. However found the cinnamon buns on the drier side. Perhaps the way they do it. Need to warm it up for sure. Flavor was very good. The icing is quite sweet.

Really enjoyed my experience! Went in for first time for breakfast and coffee. The attendant came out from behind the counter to point out all the goodies in the display. Had a bagel and latte for breakfast and a filled croissant to go! It was great fresh food and very well priced! Would recommend as a new morning Spot!

Went yesterday and was pretty impressed. I had to take a look around to decide what I wanted to get. Service was good as well, answered everything and gave great recommendations. She was very energetic! Her favourite was actually something I don’t usually get but ended up loving, everything was great. Will definitely be back.

Cruffins and Bagels and CINNAMON BUNS, oh my! And the service, was beyond exceptional. Thank you! You guys are doing such an amazing job, and putting out such amazing product! You should be proud! We’re not from Calgary, but will be stopping in every time we visit, which will be more often now that I will probably never find another cinnamon bun as good as this!

Lovely bakery. Pizza was a bit salty for my taste. Cinnamon bun was soft with a icing. Latte was flavourful without being bitter. Bought frozen croissants for home to continue the experience at home. It’s a long way from my home but it will be a stop when I’m in the quadrant! Highly recommend it.

Stopped by to check it out this morning and get some treats for my team at work. I knew immediately from the aroma when I walked in I would not be disappointed. Boy was I right! Our team devoured everything within minutes. The blueberry lemon danish might just be the best pastry I have ever had. Will be making a detour any time I am in the area from now on. Super friendly staff, great building/atmosphere and treats that can't be beat!

Incredible spot! Bread, pastry, bagels, scones- something for everyone! Didn't notice if there were GF options. Frozen take-home pastry to be baked too. Amazing selection and service!

The vibe of the cafe was really nice. They have a small area for seating inside. It look like they would have a patio for the summer. The breads and desserts all looked amazing. The prices were also affordable for their gourmet pastries and breads. They had take home packs of unbaked pastries.

I try to go there at least once a week. Maybe it's just for a loaf of white, maybe it's a loaf of white, a cinnamon bun and or blueberry muffins. Maybe it's for a small personal pizza. I am glad there is a new bakery nearby that doesn't charge an arm and a leg. Nicely done.

We have been several times, the food is delicious. Staff are very friendly. I hope they start making it easier to enjoy a coffee or baked good at their shop. Currently they only serve coffee in to-go cups and have no plates, forks etc. I would go more often if they changed this and made it easier to stay.

Ordered a hot chocolate and a strawberry cruffin to snack on and some bagels to go. Good doesn't even begin to describe how fantastic these treats were. Everything was so fresh, soft, and flavorful. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone

Fresh bread is an affordable comfort food and Good Bread has become my favourite place to buy it. All of the loaves, buns and bagels are first rate. Their plain white loaf, sliced thick, toasted, butter, jam, bliss. The lemon "cruffins" are worth every calorie. Sugared croissant, baked in muffin tins, stuffed full of the best lemon cream EVER. A great addition to the community!

My husband and I recently tried this place out, and OMG so so glad we did. Everything was super delicious and fresh. The bagels are amazing and cronuts to die for. The staff were prompt and friendly as well. We’ll be back soon!

I have enjoyed a few things from good bread. I previously had a cruffin that was salted caramel and it was tasty which lead me to attempt ordering three cruffins for my daughters birthday. I ordered in advance last week and as far as I knew I met all requirements to pick up my order on Monday. On Monday at my pick up time (12: 45pm) I went in and asked for my order. The staff had no clue what I was talking about. They had completely forgotten to fill my order and the flavours I had ordered were already sold out. I had already told my daughter about a special treat so I decided to get the ones available which was vanilla and cream cheese.
My daughters enjoyed the cream cheese but were disappointed that the other flavour was unavailable which is frustrating as I went in out of my way and ordered in advance. I had the vanilla. It was gross. Maybe rotten I don’t know but zero stars for vanilla cruffin. Two stars because this was my first bad experience and the girls though it was still fun to try a new treat. I was very upset. They offered me a free cream cheese cruffin which is not even eaten as it was not that good and I’m totally put off by my expirience.

Update:
The owner reached out to me and apologized. She went out of her way to help us feel better about our experience, she informed me that the way they take order in advance has been updated. I’m hopeful that no one else has my experience and sounds to me like the bakery has updated all the issues I had with pre ordering.

Impresses by how busy this place was. We tried a half dozen items (pretzel, pizettas, cinnamon buns) and were impressed by every single item.

I went here hoping to find really good bread, but was very disappointed. My 'gold standard' is wholewheat bread - I want something substantial with a good crust. Their wholewheat loaf looked great, but was so spongy and overaerated - I can't believe it was real wholewheat - totally lacking in taste and character. Back to Cobbs for my daily sandwich wholewheat, I guess. The pastries were better, but that's not what I went there for.

Their pastries are so good, the owners were very kind and I am glad to see a place that sells macarons close to my area! I look forward to try more of their stuff!?
