Good Earth Coffeehouse - Eau Claire Market

I must say, my recent visit to this Good Earth branch left me thoroughly disappointed, and I feel compelled to share my experience. It was an unfortunate combination of subpar service and coffee that has left a lasting impression.

But it didn't end there. Once my coffee was served, it was a letdown in itself. The quality of the coffee was far from what I expected from a place with "Good" in its name. It tasted stale and lacked the richness and flavor that one would anticipate from a decent coffee shop. It's as if they had forgotten the basic principles of brewing a good cup of coffee.

To make matters worse, the cleanliness of the establishment left much to be desired. The tables were sticky, and the overall ambiance felt neglected and uninviting. It was evident that the staff didn't prioritize maintaining a pleasant environment for customers

The Best Coffee Place in downtown Calgary Eau Claire Market, Me and my friends went and had Iced Late, Americano, Coffee Misto, Flat White, Extra Espresso Shoot, Dietary Options Gluten- Friendly.etc We loved it, We Loved The Service, The Best Friendly Servers In The Store. Thank You.

We loved it! Coffee and food were so good. The staff was lovely. Even the music makes you stay in a good mood.

Everytime I come here is a great experience. Good food, cozy atmosphere and most importantly, excellent customer service. The owner, Mo, was so friendly and offered my toddler free treats. That and his jokes put a big happy smile on her face. She is now enjoying her treats and saying "so delicious" repeatedly.

Stopped for a quick cup of coffee, on our way across the river, and was greeted by the friendliest Mo, who served us the best lattes for two days in a row. Will definitely be coming back next time coming through Calgary!

The Eau Claire Good Earth has a bright and positive vibe, with fabulous lighting, big windows facing the outdoors, and lively music. The place is also consistently spotless. The espresso portions are more generous than anywhere else in the district, and the Greek Goddess salad is ultra tasty. More than that, the owner is very personable and remembers your orders. Overall, this location offers excellent service, quality, and cleanliness! Well done!

Once in a while my job brings me to Eau Claire Market and it makes me so happy because I can go to THIS PARTICULAR Good Earth. Mo (owner, host, all around lovely human) has a dry witty sense of humour (today in -22 C weather, he invited me to take a seat on the patio) and is determined to remember your order from previous days. I can walk in and he'll say my drink out loud before I order, even if I had only been there one day previously. He'll offer the additions available to items and let you know up front if there is an extra charge or not. I've seen him treat everyone with the same respect; business people, general public or transient folks. Today I heard him check with a construction worker that they had the proper warm clothing and steel toed boots for the weather. Mo. What a gem.

Best place to have your me time in Calgary! They showed the best attitude to its costumers and the best Dark Roast Coffee in town (The must try!) I really like the atmosphere specially when you are taking your sip. Trust me! You will never be disappointed for sure!:)

We came in twice with our kids while staying at the nearby Sheraton. Mo was so friendly and helpful, and was really working hard taking orders as well as preparing the food and drinks. Good coffee and tea, and our oatmeal, muffins, cinnamon rolls, cookies, and smoothies were all excellent. He even threw in a little treat for the kids. Would absolutely return next time we visit Calgary. Thanks for the great service!

Mo is probably one of the nicest owners of a Good Earth I have met in Calgary. He is super kind to his customers, always gives the best recommendations, and it is always a pleasure seeing him. 10/10 would recommend to anyone in the city, especially in Eau Claire. I work fairly far away and I was come out of my way to see Mo.

The owner, Mo, is such a kind and friendly guy. We came just after closing, but he was nice enough to serve us still, and with such a good sense of humour. Amazing coffee too. Thanks Mo, will definitely be back!

Enjoyed speaking with the gentlemen who served me by dar one of the best cups of Joe ive had in awhile. Sorry Tim's but Good Earth has grabbed my palletes. Located in the Eau Claire area. This coffee really does the trick!

The Manager is very professional and he is very business-oriented. I observed that the customers really like him because he gives excellent customer service. Furthermore, he has a great sense of humour, and he is hard-working and very understanding with the clientele. Plus, he makes a great cup of coffee!

Impeccable service with a relaxed vibe. I bought a solitary banana and bottle of water; hardly their specialty. However, I still came away with good energy from this atmospheric little café in Eau Claire.

I have visited a number of coffee houses over the years, but none have come close to the taste and service experience at the Eau Claire Coffeehouse. The difference is the genuine friendly greeting you receive when you first set foot in the place from Mo "the man from the Gaza Strip". I had not visited his coffee house for two weeks, yet he remembered who I was, what I had ordered and pointed out where I has sat! Only a person with a genuine interested in taking care of his customers would remember such facts. If you want to see what good customer service is all about, go order your favourite coffee or tea from Mo. You wont be disappointed. Tony, Calgary

We’re on a bike ride stopped in for coffee and muffin. The coffee is always so fresh and hot and the pumpkin spice muffin is delicious. Friendly owner always gives great service

Moe is the owner and he was working the counter when we went. If you want to meet the friendliest human on the planet while eating excellent munchies and amazing coffee then this is the place to go. Not sure why you would go anywhere else. Ask for High Test coffee and let Moe give the warnings of how hyper you'll be. This is a true Calgary Gem.

Stopped in for a couple coffees today bought a small and medium, asked for 2 cream each, got 1c each.
At just over 7$ was surprised how strong and bitter the coffee was.
Couldn't finish it.
Not a bad place overall though.

Great place to grab a coffee any time if they’ll day. The coffee is always great and Mo is very friendly and provides great customer service. Our toddler loves to go there because Mo is very nice to her.

I loved visiting Good Earth and chatting with Mo every morning before work when I was recently in town. He’s a great barista, lovely guy and an incredibly hard worker.
Looking forward to visiting again next time I’m in town

We visited on a Thursday. Mo was terrific. He was so kind to our daughters and our oldest loved the hot chocolate. Our coffee was delicious too. Thanks for the great service.

I met a friend for coffee here with a newborn. The gentleman working here went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Excellent coffee, food and service. Thank you, sir!

Every time we are in downtown, we get the best cafe and tea blends in this good earth. We tried the vegan muffins ; pumpkin spice and coconut beetroots and were super delicious and what makes this place even more special is the feeling of being at home with Mohamad. The proprietor was very helpful when I didn't know precisely the drink I wanted. They made a decaf Americano that was very lovely. There is seating outside that is great for people watching while you enjoy your treats.

While staying at the Sheraton eau Claire getting coffee here every morning made a wonderful start to our days in Calgary. The service was excellent and the worker was very sweet to my family including my 18 month old son. The coffee was absolutely delicious along with the many types of scones and muffins I had ordered. All and all a great experience, we will be back again

The Good Earth Coffehouse in Eau Claire is my go to place for coffee, baked goods and light dinner/lunch when I am working in Calgary. I would definitely recommend it - great selection of healthy delicious food and great coffees. The owner is really friendly and super helpful. Most recently, I dropped something outside the cafe (not even inside the cafe) and he recognized it as mine, and returned it to me when I was back at the cafe the next day, not even realizing I had lost it!

No, it's not expensive. Not sure how this first post got here. Good Earth Coffeehouse is awesome, not expensive and the coffee is excellent and I enjoy chatting with the owner in my big hat that makes me look like a Colombian. 5 stars for sure!
