Good gym with really friendly and helpful staff! Decently clean, well maintained and modern equipment. Unfortunately the wifi is terrible, this is extremely frustrating when trying to stream music during my workouts. This could be updated to a much faster network for a few thousand dollars…. I hope to see this investment soon.

The gym does not have all the equipment I'd like and it's a bit outdated than I'm used to, but the staff are amazing. They're very welcoming, sweet, and this is my priority at a gym, a positive environment. Best staff I've met at GoodLife by far. Wish you were all at my home gym lol

If you are looking for a quality fitness trainer, Scott is one worth considering and highly recommended.

Having Scott as a personal trainer these last few months has been very helpful. Scott using his knowledge, wit and genuine caring woven together to encourage, challenge to motive individuals to reach forward for better health and physical condition.

If I could give Scott a 10-star rating. The only negative I have about GoodLife is their pricing is extremely high especially for seniors on a pension who would continue with a personal trainer butt at $75 per hour 2 times a week, on a long term commitment is very expensive so I would give the gym a 4 rating for equipment and their business model a 3 because of their high prices in comparison to other facilities.

It's a shame they don't have better rates for those willing to book long term for personal trainers. It would be good for seniors and would increase their business. Now in spite of a great trainer I must go to a new gym as many offers better rates for long term commitments for a trainer

Excellent customer service (didn't catch the staff member's name, but it was the young woman working the evening shift on Sunday, July 16). The Goodlifes in Ontario inspired me to buy my own equipment, but if I lived in Edmonton, I wouldn't hesitate to get a membership at this facility.

This rating is specifically for Scott Collins 10 stars for him! I recently got signed up for 6 personal training sessions with Scott. He is fun, engaging, motivating, knowledgeable and caters sessions to your physical ability and limitations. I am a beginner with techniques and I have tried other PTs but the interesting part with him is, he teaches in a way you like to be taught and at the same time explaining the WHY. He also provided a workout plan which is so useful. Highly recommend him if you are looking to sign up for a PT at GoodLife!

It is a happy paradise for employees and exercisers. Please experience it once.highly recommended

This is a great location. The windows bringing in natural light during the day help workouts feel better. The showers and change room are always very clean and very spacious. Big open layout. The free weights section can definitely get busy at peak hours but what gym doesn’t. Lots of benches and squat racks available. Only negative I can think of is its hours on the weekends. Seems odd to have such a wonderful and well situated location not be 24/7.

I came in skeptical, but just signed up at that location and I’m loving it so far. Satyam signed me up.

He was really helpful, gave a tour of the facility, took his time explaining the different membership options, and recommended personal training. I came in for a membership, but left being matched with a very experienced personal trainer who took his time explaining what I need to change about my workouts.

Thank you Satyam for taking the time to make some recommendations and listening to my goals. Totally different experience then the typical big box gym.

Staff is always friendly coming in and out. Pretty clean facility in respect to bathrooms etc but between machines could use more dusting. I would also like another variety of the step machine (would be nice) otherwise it's a great gym. Staff is almost always doing something work related and not lazying around

I’ve been going here for almost a year now and I’ve had a positive experience. Overall a pretty good facility, very clean, staff are friendly and helpful, mostly everything’s in good condition. One important thing to note- personal training sessions automatically re-up if you don’t cancel them yourself. I unknowingly ended with 33 of them. Wasn’t too happy about that but I got set up with the right guy. Scott’s an amazing trainer and I can’t recommend him enough. Very knowledgeable, attentive, makes diverse and pertinent workout plans, and just a great guy to be around. He helped me make the most of my situation.
25 March 2023 19:54
Staff forgets to cancel my membership when I call in and i keep getting charged - say its my fault for not following up with them even though they forgot.no accountability for the staff
15 February 2023 12:23
Been going here for years and always feel welcomed by the staff. Sucha positive environment! Also had a wonderful complimentary workout session with Scott. Definitely learned alot. He’s very attentive, motivating, and helpful. Would highly recommend him!

I came to Goodlife Gym from Australia and the experience was amazing. I had Andersen as my personal trainer and his expertise and knowledge was very helpful and valuable. In just one session, Andersen improved my form and gave me a workout program/schedule in his own free time. We also talked about fitness goals. I could not recommend Andersen enough
15 December 2022 16:11
I have been working out at this gym for a few years now and I absolutely love it. I had a personal training session with one of their personal trainers the other day, Anderson, and he was awesome. We worked on my mobility and made a lot of improvements in just one session. He is very well educated and respectful and I look forward to more sessions with him. Would highly recommend.
15 December 2022 12:55
Very clean place, friendly staff, had session with personal trainor Andersen. I’ve learned a lot for just short amount of time.
11 December 2022 6:12
I had a session with ANDERSEN. He helped me with my shoulder and lower back pain and gave me some great advice on my form.
02 December 2022 14:42
Awesome location! Always clean, wide variety of equipment and staff are super friendly. Had a complementary session with Andersen and he was really fantastic and helped manage my shoulder pain. He is really knowledgeable and professional so definitely recommend him for personal training sessions.
19 November 2022 22:37
Nice facility but its a jungle in there during peak hours. Strongly recommend going during not typical hours. No dress code or code of conduct. Staff allows dudes to wear shirts missing 80% of the material, excessive grunting, dropping weights, people hogging machines and equipment, spitting in showers. Very intimidating experience if youre new. Also its only 24 hours Monday to Thursday. They close on the weekends at night. Would rate 2 stars if not for the nice staff and facility.

Okay, this will be long winded. Before I start I will say that I have no issues with the general staff or personal trainers. They actually helped. So thank you Amanda and Pilar.

To summarize; I was harassed and lied to by the General Manager Kenny.

My issue is with the General Manager Kenny. I've been with good life at different locations for the past 4 years, due my experience I will never return to Good Life and this is why. When I first transferred to Rabbit Hill Road Good life I explained my schedule for personal training and the hours I can work with to Kenny. He assured me that he can work with my schedule. He lied. I went through four Personal Trainers before I actually found someone that could work with my schedule. All was good till last January I broke my right humerus bone and requested a medical leave/ freeze on my gym membership and Personal Training. Kenny argued with me saying there is no such thing as a medical leave from the gym and I will have to continue paying for personal training sessions even though I could not use them. Well I did what any sane person would do and went above his head. His manager stated there is a medical leave from the gym and he will talk to Kenny. So again, Kenny lied to me. After I finally received my medical leave and freeze from Good life, Kenny started calling me and texting me harassing me once or twice a week trying to get me back in the gym. (A humerus break takes 3 months to probably heal not including physio.) I told him multiple times that I cannot return to the gym till my doctor clears me. To the point I was forced to ignore his text messages and calls. Well Kenny didn't like that. So he forced my Personal Trainer to start contacting me once a week trying to the me back into the gym. Which I explained to my Personal Trainer the same thing I told Kenny, the general manager. And asked to stop being harassed and I will contact Kenny when I am cleared to go back to the gym. Which is exactly what I did when I was cleared to go back.

This management style of harassing and lieing to clients just to get more money out of them so the general manager look good on paper is unacceptable. What happened to the days when Good life worked along side their clients to do what is best for the client. Instead of counting money, harassing clients and lieing to them. I will not be returning.

This is just another nail in Goodlife's coffin.

There was supposed to be a yoga class today (June 22,2022) at 12-12: 45 pm and the instructor did not show up. Proceeded to use the projector and make my own yoga class
07 September 2022 13:20
Overcharged and treated poorly by agents at the store. My account was overcharged twice with no refunds provided. And then they charged me another fee. Terrible customer service. Glad I cancelled my account.
20 June 2022 4:13
Probably the most run down, neglected location in Edmonton. Most of the bikes here are missing components or are in compete disrepair.
Highly motivated to sign up new members, however little concern for maintaining or replacing broken down equipment.
Small things make this place frustrating, such as the utterly useless wifi (using this actually reduces your ability to stream music vs using cellular). Suspect the owners are more focused on golfing or other ventures.
06 November 2021 20:19
Great experience with staff and the amenities! I love their shower area/locker rooms, also their massage chairs!
04 November 2021 21:11
Very clean, friendly staff and always super welcoming. I go to lots of different gyms although by far this is my preferred location.
26 October 2021 15:24
Parsila is great we talk about what we work on and yeah. Also what y'all been up to. I plan to see them again.

Love the corporate membership available too:)

Great gym great equipment and great staff. Only thing that’s frustrating at the moment is they haven’t opened up to 24 hours.
19 July 2021 14:56
The staff leaves me alone to work out, I feel 100% safe working out here due to the pandemic, and there's plenty of room/equipment to use. Heavily recommend this gym. Also, be nice to the front desk people. They have to follow their policies and procedures, show some respect. I can hardly wait for the gym to reopen.
26 September 2020 15:36
Useless staff. They make up none sense policy, like you have to email them confirmation to cancel/suspend membership because going in and telling them in person is not a valid authority.
22 September 2020 14:17
My favorite location to goto. The staff are super friendly, I've been going here for years now and during this covid crisis they have been very accommodating, just miss using the showers there though. Not the best feeling changing into your normal clothes and get into your car after a hard workout. I do think they could open the showers and just have someone go in there periodically to sanitize everything.
12 September 2020 10:33
Love the staff here, and it's always super clean. The front desk staff are always willing to take the time to help out, and are super friendly. This is my favorite location in Edmonton, because it has a pretty diverse crowd of serious fitness enthusiasts, while being clean and well organized.
28 August 2020 20:49
Sanitation is poorly encouraged since re opening, some staff seem to miss the point entirely. I'll be looking for a new place to work out.
13 May 2020 23:29
Pros:
Friendly staff
Lots of equipment
Great Group Fitness Schedule

Cons:
No Hot Yoga
No Women's only

Definitely one of my fav GL locations. The staff will always go out of their way to help you out. Terwillegar has the best Group Fitness classes and schedule. I'd definitely check out NewBody on Friday mornings @ 10: 15 am, it's my favourite cardio class and has wicked music, not to mention an amazing instructor!
18 April 2020 10:47
I am floored at the compassion the manager and staff showed me today. My spouse passed away and I came to cancel his membership. Not only did they make this experience easy, they even offered to freeze my membership and to come back when I felt ready. I have been dealing with so much red tape with the banks and institutions, the staff at GoodLife restored my faith in humanity. Thank you so much!
01 April 2020 2:18
Amrit is a fantastic trainer! He is VERY knowledgeable and caters workouts for my specific needs and goals. I was hesitant at first if I should try out having a trainer, but it has been a positive and fun experience. You definitely can count on getting a killer workout in, smashing your goals and tons of laughs all at the same time. I'd highly recommend him! And he LOVES the Oilers!:)
28 November 2019 0:13
MUCH BETTER than other locales less packed more space. CLEAN and Thanks for new wifi!

Update: since my original post I actually have had staff at other sites comment to me that they're working hard on their cleanliness.one other point.customer service and fitness people are super helpful and really aim to please.really I'm impressed.thank you for taking my feedback in a useful way
28 October 2019 21:31
I love this gym. I want to give it 5 stars. My only issue is that the gym is closed at 8pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. What other 24 hour gym closes early on the weekends? That’s when I want to train later after spending the day out and with family and friends. There are always a bunch of us who leave unhappy when it closes early. It’s especially frustrating since it is one of the Goodlifes with the most signups and visits in Edmonton. If the gym wants to save money on a shift, how about closing at 12am 3 days a week?

Other than that, I love training here 3-4 times per week.
12 October 2019 7:18
Been going here for over 2 years and the service has progressively gotten worse and worse. Sales staff do not communicate with each other and neglect responsibilities such as entering in member information in the computer, having to make me repeat the same process multiple times before I can begin my workout. But one incident in particular, involving Thomas from this location left me never wanting to return here again. The obnoxious and judgemental interaction I had with him while attending the gym with my brother, who happened to be going for his 2nd workout as part of the free trial and was denied access to the club, was extremely embarrassing and unnecessary. We were there to utilize the facility with a trial that had already been approved both over the phone and in person two days prior but denied access because the pass is given out "on the discretion of the staff member" and Thomas didn't believe my brother was there legitimately. I have a hard time understanding how a company like GoodLife can let staff treat their members like this and have discretionary policies that can change on a whim, especially when someone is willing to try out the gym before signing any form of contract. When asked to see the policy or speak to a manager we were told again, that the policy is discretionary and that it was written everywhere on the trial pass (it is not) and that the manager wasn't available. I would highly advise against this location, and instead say to go to the location on Calgary Trail or West Granville. At least the staff there are polite, welcoming, and don't hide behind a fake policy when they feel they cannot get someone to sign a year committment on the spot. Luckily I can go to another location even though if it's farther away, because I didn't get pressured to sign a contract that restricted me to one club.
19 September 2019 21:22
Management is good and the gym is awesome. All types of machines are available. Their trainer were also friendly and kind. Music is also great. Their exercise were different from other gym that i s the unique point i like about the gym.
09 September 2019 12:22
This by far is one of the best experiences I have had at the gym in a long time. Not only were the sales staff more than helpful, the overall cleanliness of the gym was fantastic. With all this being said, this gym is also fantastic for new gym goers as I did not feel judged. If you are looking into going a gym, I urge you to going to this Goodlife. Thomas helped set me up! Ask for him when you go in! You will not be disappointed!
03 September 2019 8:04
False advertising is my biggest complaint with this gym. When I signed up, the lady was pushy and rude, didn’t tell me the huge 24hr sign was false. They close at 8pm on weekends which is absolute bs. There’s still no wifi, even after saying they were going to have it months ago. Had my wallet stolen from the women’s change room the one day I forgot my lock. It’s overpriced for the many flaws this place has and membership options are VERY limited.
02 September 2019 17:44
I was charged $27 for a drop in fee. When asked why, it's to compete with other gyms and to make memberships more enticing. Worldhealth charges $20 which is already incredibly high, and $27 fee at goodlife just further alienates customers who are in town temporarily. I always considered goodlife as a average gym but better than worldhealth - not anymore. I urge anyone and everyone considering this gym to look elsewhere.
24 August 2019 9:18
I recently switched from world health gym to GoodLife, I honestly really like world health but my friend convinced me to switch to good life, Terwilliger wonderful service, very respectful and kind people very professional especially Victoria, she deserves a raise thank you so much for helping me with my gym sign up and no pressure at all I will definitely get my friends to switch to this gym!
16 August 2019 7:01
My experience at this Goodlife location has been incredibly mixed so far, so I'm just going to do a pro/con list.

Pros:
A pretty good spread of equipment and lots of space to do a wide variety of exercises
Towel service
Decent hours during weekdays
Eleiko SVR platforms
Memberships are decently affordable

Cons:
It's not really a 24hr gym, despite the 10 foot tall sign on the front of the building
The staff don't have a clue what's going on—I mentioned that the hours on the door said 8am-8pm, and the guy said "huh, did I open an hour early? " because they actually open at 7am, AND another employee didn't know the names of common equipment when I was inquiring if they have them
You can't try before you buy. Most gyms will give you a free drop in, but since I had a free drop in at a different GoodLife location 3 years ago, I can never try another one without getting a membership or paying a $15 drop in.
Most memberships have sign up or cancellation fees, which can really increase your monthly rate if you're not going long term
17 June 2019 13:10
The clean up guy working in night in Terwilliger location sits on massage chair with same dirty clothes.sometimes he even tells how to use washroom.needs to mind his own business.
24 April 2019 3:00
I have been going to this gym for 5 or so months and have quite enjoyed my time there. The front desk staff are always kind and welcoming. The facilities are nice, and the equipment is in good repair. There are a lot of squat racks which is nice to see. The only downside is the hours on the weekend. I wish it were open just a little bit later or earlier on Saturdays, but it's not a big deal.

I have been training with Brandon here since December and it has been a great experience so far. He definitely pushes you but understands limitations. I have learned a lot about proper form/technique and what a good healthy workout looks like from him. Would recommend for anyone looking to build strength and confidence.
07 April 2019 17:56
I have started with Tennesa and find her amazing.she is supportive, encouging, and has a great personality. She is the main reason I stay there.

The gym itself is good, but the lockers and the wash rooms stink.literally.
They need proper ventilation.the owners cheated out on the tenant improvements
