Friendly, knowledgeable staff, with a nice selection of gear. One of the only places in western Canada for ham radio equipment, so I make sure to stop in when I’m in town to avoid shipping when shopping online.

Excellent customer service. Good inventory levels on the RAM mount products. I was leaving for vacation and asked for rush delivery. Received my order in Ontario within 24 hours of placing the order. Well done!

I bought my Garmin zumo 660 back in 2012 for my motorcycle. Used almost exclusively on it. Worked 100%. Thru this past winter there were a couple of updates I was notified of and I dutifully installed them. When it came to using the unit a couple of weeks ago, the screen showed pure nonsense. Garmin BaseCamp showed I had full mapping for Canada and the US but the unit was useless. I phoned GPS Central if they might be able to get it operating properly again. Andrew requested that I mail the unit to them and they'd do their best. In a day or two, I received a phone call from Andrew telling me that zumo was back to normal. I breathed a sigh of relief. What totally impressed me was I could have been told that it was beyond repair and I'd be spending $400 or so for a replacement unit. Their honesty and integrity saved me that amount and my only cost was mailing it there and paying for their mailing it back to me. It was also suggested that I not update it anymore as the technology in it dates back to about 2010 and the likelihood of new roads anywhere I'd ride to is basically zero. I use maps on my iPhone to help me out as well. Kudos to GPS Central! Thank you!

What can I say about GPS Central. They are not only knowledgeable but have that ever rare exceptional customer service. They gave me a great deal at the YEG Boat Show but when a part was missing from the packaging, I called to order the coax cable assuming I miss heard it being included.

He told me no way! It should have come with it and we will get you one asap. They sent me one at no cost.

They truly have my business for life. A perfect example of how to run a business properly.

I've bought a bunch of amateur radio gear from these folks over the last few years and they're always really helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

Awesome service guys. I went in to get an X mount so I could use my phone navigating, as my Zumo xt didn't have Canadian maps.
Instead of leaving with the Ram product, I left with a complete set of Canadian and US maps installed on the Zumo.

Great customer service. I had a concern about my order and called them for some help. As I described my situation the representative said: "You must be Jason. " He knew why I was calling and had me fixed up in no time.

So nice to get that level of customer service that you wouldn't get at a big box store. Also, they have great prices.

I have only been here twice, but walked out of here with things that I needed. It was refreshing to see a store with in stock items. Great selection and mostly friendly staff. I'm new to my hobby and the staff were more than willing to help.

My most recent order came with a small manufacturer defect where the SD card wouldn't stay in the slot of a marine GPS. GPS Central went well above and beyond to help get my unit replaced and get me out on the water.

Very friendly staff who knew which device options to recommend for personal safety beacons and Garmin watches. I have bought several through them- won't go anywhere else!

I was extremely happy with the service I got at GPS Central. I had an issue with my brand new Garmin GPS and Cody swapped it out under warranty with zero hassle. When there was an issue with the replacement unit too, again, swapped out with no drama. When the second replacement was glitchy they upgraded me to the next unit up at no charge. Fingers crossed that Garmin GPS #4 works as intended. I highly recommend GPS Central!

Avoid these guys - they seem to practice price fixing (together with Radioworld Toronto).
Here are the details: a little while ago I considered purchasing an RSP1A radio in Canada. I did a quick search and found two companies selling it: GPS Central for CAN$ 149.99 and Radioworld for CAN$ 159.99
As I am in Toronto I prefer to support my local stores, so I contacted Radioworld asking them about a price match (which they normally do). When they asked I provided them with a screenshot, showing the price at GPS Central. To my greatest surprise they very quickly advised me that in this case they do not price match.
Shortly after that I went to the website of GPS Central to make my purchase. But. GPS Central has raised their price to the higher price of Radioworld.

Coincidence? I guess not. I would say it is highly likely that they collude to fix the price. Is this not illegal?

After this experience I made my purchase with a third (also authorized) seller (outside of Canada) at a clearly lower price. I will wait a bit longer - but I am not willing to support companies like that.

And also for the future: I will avoid both Radioworld and GPS Central!

Really good product and customer support. Purchased a unit and was happy, then had a warranty issue as was resolved within a week even though I'm in another province. Great company!

I cannot tell you how much time I wasted looking for ham and cb supplies elsewhere in Calgary. Once I found this place I was so excited because not only do they have the selection, and the right prices, but the staff actually know what they're talking about. Don't waste your time anywhere else. Come here for cb, ham, gps, marine vhf, car mounts, maps, books, and way more than I can even think of.

I shopped there for the first time yesterday and bought RAM mount for my motorbike. I must say that the customer service was amazing. I asked for specific parts and they sold me exact same parts for the posted price. I came back and check on their website to find out that RAM sells pre-assembled cellphone holder as one item and it is cheaper. I phone them right away and gave them the part number. Doug told me that there should not be any reason why I should pay more for the same parts that were just bought separately. He also said that I don't even need to come in for price adjustment and did the price adjustment over the phone. They were so helpful that even thought the base of the mount was a bit different they provided the best customer service and did not consider it a big deal. I am not going anywhere else from now one. Highly recommended. These guys are the best.

Called to find out some information about the Garmin Rino 755t, Doug answered my call, could not have asked for a better guy, very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable guy. I ended up purchasing 2 units.

This place has disgusting customer service. DO NOT SHOP HERE! I called 5 hrs ahead with specificity of products im buying and time of my arrival. When I arrived I has harshly pushed out the door. (Aggressively) yelling at me to get out.i simply wanted to pick up an order. No good.

When you walk in expect to be greeted rudely by people who will not even turn and face you. They kicked me out of the store because I couldn't understand what an employee said.i repeatedly asked whats the problem.i used hand sanitizer i had a mask.

Has a great selection of products, great prices, and great customer support. When I ordered a metal detector from them, it got delayed and they were great at helping me and providing more information about my package and when it was coming. They had what I wanted, and it was cheaper than all other offerings from other companies.

I was looking for a wearable Garmin device that is apparently a little hard to come by in Canada. Doing a little research, I found this place online (I was shopping from Toronto.)
At first I was a little weary giving well over a grand to a storefront that I've never been to in person. Let alone a place across the country.
So I emailed them to confirm that the item was in stock and enquire about delivery times and such.
Sure enough, first thing the next day I had an email response. Then we went back and forth a couple times through email all within a few minutes getting reply's. With that kind of prompt service I made my order and had the item literally the next business day.
Great service, great product and delivery.
I couldn't be happier.
I'm not in need for GPS devices frequently. But from now on for when I do, they definitely have my business.

Really amazing covid protocols and lots of flexible purchasing options including online, delivery, pickup. They enforce hand sanitizer at the front which is a nice thing to see. Staff is friendly and informative. Lots of parking.

I would give zero stars if I could for their careless, disrespectful and irresponsible staff. I had bought a cb radio that I returned within time to have a refund. I returned the items as instructed by their staff member on correct address via Canada post express and 2 weeks later I realized that I didn't receive a refund and called their store to find out what is going on and they told me that they didn't receive the package. I gave their staff member the tracking number to see it himself and he did check it as I had sent the package with a signature required on their end when package received and they were received as per Canada post inquiry.yet the person on the phone laughs and tells me with an attitude to call Canada post and ask them to investigate.two days later on feb 11/2020 at 8 am I receive a phone call from their store stating that they have found the item and will process a refund in few days. It has been few weeks and still no refund or a follow up by their staff. I was referred by a good friend of mine who buys a lot of products from their store will no longer deal with them. I will soon be submitting a consumer complaint to Alberta government.

Ordered a helix 7 on Friday from Grimsby Ontario and it was at my door 10am on Wednesday. For me that's extremely quick shipping. Everything seems to be in perfect condition and the price was hundreds of dollars cheaper then amazon or tackle shops near me. I would say highly recommend. Although I've heard nightmares about returns so be careful. For me it was a no brainer.

I am buying a lot from the Internet, some of the companies are really good. That is the first time in me life, I need to put six stars!

I've been waiting for a month for a back ordered watch that hasn't come in. They were supposed to call me but never did. Every time I've called, someone tells me it will be here the following week, that is when they bother to even answer the phone. In store the service was great but I'm regretting buying from a local location instead of a big box store.
