I live on 55 st, close to this clinic. They don’t accept new patients. And the receptionists could at least be a bit more polite in response.

There is not a single time where they will take you in on time as per your appointment. No matter how advanced you booked your appointment, they will still make you wait minimum of 1 hr or more.they should really improve on their timing or if they can not accommodate so many appointment in one day they should keep more time between each appointment rather than making patient wait hour to 1.5 hr every time on scedule appointment. This is ridiculous.strongly suggest go to a different place dont even bother here

Horrible wait time. There’s no point in booking an appointment here because you’ll never see the doctor at the time of your appointment. Every single time I come here I have to wait 15-30 minutes before I get any service. You also always have to book 1 week in advance and they don’t accept walk ins. They need to better manage their time so that appointments actually start when they’re supposed to. No other clinic or medical service has had me waiting when there’s an appointment, except for grace point. I didn’t even want to write this review thinking I just had bad luck the previous times I came, but EVERY single time there’s a wait problem? Ridiculous. You’ll have better luck going to a walk in clinic, then coming here to see your family doctor.

Edit: today was different, I waited over 45 minutes instead of the usual 15-30, love that for me

Terrible! Would give 0 if possible. Booked an appointment at 3: 30 and arrived early. Waited an hour til we actually even got put into the waiting room. Not to mention people who came after us got in before us. Then waited for another half an hour and no doctor ever showed. We went to the front and all the lady said was “Sorry” and didn’t even check with the doctors. The entire time we waited we heard doctors laughing and have conversations instead of treating us. Super disappointed and disrespectful. Won’t be coming back nor would recommend to others.

The doctor is very attentive, has a great memory and can recall things from my file and family file easily but his front end is TERRIBLE!
I am considering moving doctors because I never get into my appointment on time, I generally have to make a fuss to get an appointment that is any sooner than a week out (and if I make a fuss they somehow can fit me in).
They are not very friendly and don't often have any problem solving suggestions. If he wants to stay in buisness I'd hire new staff. I'm at my wits end with these women!

Dr alarape is the best doctor ever. He cares and you just know you're in good hands. The front desk ladies are awesome too. I went to Calgary for 6 years and came back to see him and am so glad to have him as my doc again. He's absolutely the best! And as for the wait time I've only ever had exceptional wait times, I get in within 10 minutes of my appointment. I can understand that may not always be the case because sometimes other people's visits may take longer than expected so I plan accordingly. If I could give them 10 stars I would) Oh, one last thing, their business is the cleanest doctors office I've ever seen.

Most disrespectful DR ever. Dr. Alarape is only there for money. He shows up late for appointments minimum 2 hours and never listens to your complaints. Misdiagnoses everything. Very very disrespectful man my appointment is at 10 and he walks in at 10: 15. I stopped going to him for 2 years and couldn’t get an appointment at my new doctor so I thought I would make one here and see if it has changed but actually got worse and his disrespect for his patients has grown. To bad I can’t give you a zero. You are the star example of what is wrong with Alberta health.

Their staff is rude. Don't even bother trying to get an appointment they're super unhelpful.

I visited multiple times and given the benefit of doubt in every visit. I came to the conclusion not to visit anymore. Their appointment is unreliable, no customer care at the reception and consideration of patient centric approach. I won’t recommend!

The doctor is amazing, kind and thorough. Unfortunately, I almost always have to wait at least an hour to get in, even when I have an appointment. Its really difficult when I have a small child with me who gets bored easily. Other than the wait, the staff are friendly and the place is very clean and professional.

Good Dr, but when you have to wait 2+ hrs for your scheduled appointment that is a big dissapointment. No walkins as of now as well and the wait times are atrocious, system needs to be revamped.

This place is terrible. Absolutely terrible. Dr. Akadri Alrape is a good doctor. He takes his time and generally seems to care about his patients BUT… Their scheduling system is horrible. You make an appointment for a certain time and you might as well expect to wait a MINIMUM 1 hour to get in. I have been there a total of about 15 times now and it has happened EVERY SINGLE TIME! Today when I showed up for my appointment I made a point to ask how many people he still had to see ahead of me. There were 2 in the lobby and 2 in the rooms so I left! I’m done with this place and won’t be back. Unless you enjoy waiting for 1-3 hours to complete a scheduled appointment I would suggest you avoid Gracepoint Medical clinic completely.

If I could give zero stars I would. For a clinic that does not accept walk ins and is by appointment only somehow my appointment as well as many others in the waiting room was pushed over 2 hours. What is the point on booking certain times if you can not guarantee that service is given in a reasonable amount of time. I myself just like many others need to request time off of work, which in turn is lost money in my pocket. Further more when the receptionist asks what the appointment was regarding I informed them that the only reason I even want to see the Dr is because my chiropractor can not book my ultrasound for me. I should have known better after being brushed off during a previous visit about the injury in question. During the visit the doctor didn't even know why I was in there even though they requested I come back after a previous ultrasound. Once in the appointment I noticed the Dr the pain was increasing and spreading, what I was told next I should never have come back again. The doctor told me that if it hurts bad enough to go to the hospital and then walked out of the room. Again I repeat if you can avoid this clinic do so with a mile long length. And for myself I will go out of my way to find another doctor that actually cares about me as a human being and not just a pay day.

Dr Alarape is a great doctor. Listens to your concerns thoroughly, my appointments never feel rushed. He is also very personable and makes the effort to get to know his patients. The clinic is nice and clean, and the front desk ladies are also always nice and accommodating. My whole family goes to him and we recommend him to everyone looking for a new family doctor. I have appointment at 2: 45 and came early because I thought I can be assist before my appointment time but until now 3: 15 I haven’t assist yet ‍️I don’t know what time I can be assisted… I will NEVER gonna go here again…waste of time…They should RESPECT others time…

Doesn't matter you have an appointment, you still have to wait at least for 45 mins everytime.

They made me to visit multiple times for minor problems.

My first time at this clinic as a walk-in patient & they were very accommodating. The receptionists were courteous and professional. About an hour to wait but you can't expect to be seen right away when they have regular patients with appointments.

I am sorry to write this review. I know that Dr. Akadri Alrape is a good person. However, I should write this review. I visited Dr.on Wednesday last week and I had to wait about 1 hour even though I had an appointment. The office phoned me on Saturday asked me to come and see the Dr.about the X-ray I got. I went to the clinic today and my appointment was at 5: 30 pm. Dr.came to me at 6: 45 pm. That is 1 hr and 15 minutes after the time of the appointment. Dr.asked me why I came? I explained him that the office called me to come and visit you. He said there is nothing to talk about the x-ray. After 2 minutes my appointment was done.
Please, people DO NOT play with people's valuable time. I wasted about 2 hrs and 30 minutes of my valuable time in two days of my visit. I know that you want to make money but do not waste our time. What is the use or meaning of appointments. I was really disappointed.

The staff are absolutely amazing! Dr Alarape not only saved my life but has changed it for the better and for that I am grateful. Thanku so much!

I have been going to dr akadri for years
I had an accident a week ago and yesterday I fell when I asked him for a stronger pain medication. He denied it I am taking more then enough tylenol and advil from a 6 ft fall he looked insincere when I told him I tore my legment. I know this because I seen a physiotherapist
I walked away crying when I felt that the doctor didnt believe my condition.

I have tried to do a walk in here on 2 different occasions only to arrive to learn they aren't taking any or their doctors don't arrive for 2 or more hours. Not impressed. Don't go here!

Don’t go there the doctor involved in such a crime, I think people didn’t read that story about his criminal hearing

Very nice customer service. Lady at front always smile while entering and female dr Amanpreet is so friendly and Dr akadri Alarape is such a experience dr at clinic.

Dr. Akadri is a thorough professional with a very humane approach to his patients. He puts u at ease with his kind words. Never ever have had or seen any unseemly conduct on his part. Love u Doctor with prayers in our heart for u. God bless

Waste of time! They say they open at 9am. I packed up my daughter and went early so we could be one of the first to see a doctor. A doctor doesnt get there until 10am. Why would you be open and not be able to actually see patients?

Refused to be seen as a walk-in. Dont try to receive help with a medical issue on xmas, I guess.

The doctor is very unprofessional. The last couple of visitsbeen very rude to the point I walked out on my visit. I would never go back and iv had the issues for years he does not help me i went to a naturopath and he Did more for me than this doctor ever did.

Awful they wouldn’t let me see a doctor in emergency because I’m not brown. Don’t go if you are white. They also lied over the phone so I drove 30 min to go. Will never go back please avoid at all costs.

Front desk lady is very unprofessional. We were standing infront of her for more than five minutes as if she didn't see us. She was on the phone talking in her language. We really thought she was talking to a patient or something. If the doctor didn't come out from his room, we would be standing there forever. I would highly suggest for you not to go there. Trust me you are going to regret going there.

Horrible place to go went in for a really bad eye and the secretary had said they were packed full and there was noone in the waiting room.not a soul.worst place ive ever been to will not give them my time of day again if your not brown your not welcome

If you are someone who believes in punctuality or honoring appointment times, this may not be the clinic for you. I have made multiple appointments where I've waited 30 minutes or longer because the office admitted 3 walk ins before I arrived delaying my scheduled appointment. They do not care if you wait, or are unhappy about waiting, or do not want to come back because they delayed your entire days plans. They care about admitting as many patients as possible regardless of scheduled appointments. You are either a walk in clinic, or you take appointments and commit to them. Do not rely on being able to fit in a visit in on a busy day because it will ruin your schedule and waste your time.

Long wait times even after booking appointment. This is court time happening to me. I call it doctor monopoly, health system needs to improve. We don't have an option rather to wait at the mercy of doctors.

Just went to the clinic because they are open until 7 pm. Told me because it is my first time there they do not accept new patients past 6 pm. There was no one in the clinic and the doctor was sitting there talking with the nurse. Will never return.

I believe experinces are personal and need to be enterprited as such. But as someone who suffers from mental illness i find it hard to reach out sometimes so getting an appointment with dr. Gross for CBT and possibly a family doctor was a big move for me. I went in to the front desk "hi there sorry im 2 minutes late im _ " *yes you are* thats fine i try and think i was late so i can understand. She took my information and weight, height. Asked me to sit, as i turned, someone walkes past me and so she says *you can come with me* so i do. At the end of the hall she nockes on a door, opens it, i see the double take she does (im big on body language) the doctors still in there from the last patient. She points and askes me to enter. I do, thinking okay this is quick. I know from my courses that you dont do this. And you at least check the room before hand for cleanlineas and even odor. So i over think. Im assuming its clean or a new room all together. And hes supposed to be in there waiting for me. I go in sit down. He says right away without even glancing my way, *i have another room to go to* im polite, so "thats okay no problem" Im already feeling uncomfortable, not a hello, no intro, not a, your new? , how are you? Whats your name? Sorry about this. Not one word. He finishes what hes doing, and leaves. In my time waiting i noticed the paper was not changed. I debated doing it but was afraid ill be heard rolling the paper out (im a scared person thats why im there) so i leave it. Sometime later a woman in white opens the door, i say "hello". She says *sorry* and leaves. The whole time i have a repeatimg mantra in my head of they dont care they dont care. A little over an hour in the same lady comes in, i thought yay. She introduces herself as dr. Gross's assistant. Sits down and says *why are you here. * as if i know the routine. Arnt you supposed to check some file before you come in? I said "i thought i was here for a meet and greet". * you met him at walmart? *. "excuse me? " again. * you met him at walmart? * i did say in an exasperated (if thats spelt right) tone. "No" "Im here for cognitive behavioral therapy" im actually wondering now. Why am i here? *okay*. Checks the computer. * nicole*. " yes". Tells me she needs to ask a few questions. I answer them the best i can noticing shes jotting them down on the keyboard giving me the mundane nodding of the head *uh huh, uh huh, okay* im not upset about that i just know shes not a good listener and assume the doctor will be able to fill in the blanks by talking to me himself. Soo she gives me a little questionaire and a referal blood test. I refer back to the paper and tell her i feel that one score i put might be more accurate as a different number instead, i give her my reasaning. * uh huh, okay* so the number doesnt get changed, she just tallys my score, im feeling a bit upset by that but i do find it dofficult to speak up. Sorry me. Anyway. She tells me the dr will be in soon and leaves right after she does. Iv already decided they really dont care about me, im just a number to them, they over book people or double book whichever.and no ettiquete and that i promise i will always smile and take the time for any patient i meet, i will listen within respect to my duties. So another 20 minutes later i went to the front told her my bf and kids are in the car outside and we need to go. We rebooked and i left. Let me make this clear i am not upset with the time i sat, not completley anyway, i am an understanding person. But when you clearly are running this for the profit and dont practice your oath i do have a problem with that. And so i called cancled todays appointment and stated niclely i had a bad experience there and dont wish to return. So here i am at point A again and options are seeming more limited. So discouraging. Im just glad im not going to let it put more time between now and me getting to a place where im happy. Good luck everyone dont let one bad experience stop you on your path

The word appointment has no meaning. They will take walk ins ahead of you anyway. This is a "we want to bill Alberta Health" center, not a medical care facility. Terrible people skills too. Don't acknowledge people. Life is to short for this. When I offer my respect and am on time etc all I want is to be a person not an expendable Health Charge you get to when you get to, if at all. Probably shouldn't be a Dr when you have no interest in people.

Dr.alarape is so sweet and friendly! Takes time to get to know you personally! Great doctor, waiting period is a bit long even if you have appointment. The ladies at reception could use a little booster of sunshine and friendliness since they are the first face people see when walking in! Dr alarape makes me feel comfortable and secure!

Dr. Alarape has been my family doctors for many years and I can always trust that he will see me for a regular check up or an emergency one. Yes, sometimea the wait period is long but that is because he genuinely having real conversations with his patients, does not rush through the appointments like many other doctors do. I appreciate him giving me sound advice about life and of my future, always encouraging me to be the best that I can be. Always, giving me the right medication and being attentive to my concerns. His clinic is clean and a bit too warm at times, and reception can improve on their people skills and conversations over the phone. What is convenient about the clinic is that the pharmacy is connected next door.

My girlfriend, my sister and I waited for 2 hours only to know that the doctor was supposed to be in 2 hours before, (the doctor was so late) I wonder if they really get people treated in this place? Nice people slow service and a late doctor. There’s tons of improvement to be made.

Took my 1 year old to see Dr. Gross saw that it was busy asked if I was going to get in for my appointment front desk said “NO” I waited close to 1.5hrs before just leaving without seeing the doc.kept asking if my son was next “yes” I was told twice before calling other peoples names. Front desk Did not let me change my baby on a patient bed told Me to change him on the (dirty) bathroom floor. Had a horrible experience today.place Okish for adults but definitely not for babies!

Always get very good service at the front desk and from the doctors. They're very patient and explain everything thoroughly. I looked at some of the 1 star reviews and people obviously don't know how triage works whether you have an appointment or not. A doctor (like any other human being) can only be in one place at a time. If you're in for a prescription and have an appointment but someone else comes in with a medical condition that's more imperative to be treated: guess what? _they will get helped before you_. That is how things work and it is A GOOD THING that it works that way. You might feel inconvenienced at the moment but you'd have less to complain about if the shoe was on the other foot. That being said; I've still found that I've never had to wait terribly long at this clinic. I drive out of my way to go to this clinic opposed to visiting the one walking distance from my house. The staff and doctors here are excellent and I would confidently recommend Gracepoint to anyone.

Very poor communication over the phone from reception. Was unable to tell me if its open for a walk in on a saturday. Absurd

Terrible clinic. I had strep throat and not only did the doctor NOT prescribe anything as a precaution, but he went away on vacation and I didn't get my POSITIVE strep result until one week later. No one covered his patient's test results while he was away? By that point, I had gone to my regular doctor because my non-treated strep infection resulted in an ABSCESSED TONSIL. Terrible, terrible service. On another occasion, again for strep throat, the clinic made me COME IN to get my result - which was a positive strep culture. Just ridiculous. I've never had a doctor make me come back in for a strep throat culture result.
