Granville Veterinary Clinic

Tried clinic. Emailed pets history. Was told the owner would be working that day and that she would see my pet, spent 10 min with front staff going over additional hx. New vet with language barrier comes in, asks why I was here today, admitted to not looking at the hx - stated “was a busy day. ”
He tried to remove some staples from pet; did not seem to know how to use a staple remover properly as he wasn’t putting both bottom prongs under staple first. He removed 4 staples and then picked at the scab until the incision re-opened. Then I had to tell him to put a couple sutures / staples back in. Just incompetent! He then walked to front desk and stated no charge today. I wasn’t going to pay anything for him as he made things worse. Will NEVER go back there again!
Maybe the owner is good, but obviously not that good if she hires staff like that.

First time there with our cat who turns into a monster at the vet. This place was amazing the vet gave her time to get used to him and relax she never even realized she got the shot and was her normal self the entire visit. Will be going back there with all our animals

My puppy Tango is with them since he was born, but recent visit to Granville was pathetic as I went in there without appt as my puppy was unwell the last night, and they pushed me back saying without appt we cant see your puppy. Is this allowed in medical profession that u push your patient back with these stupid responses? For them he is just a patient, for me he is family. Dear all@Granville Vet, please start behaving like doctors and not business owners. Treatment is what you should be doing, not business. Front office staff should be sensitized on this, as she was so rude while talking to me.

Awesome customer service! I have been getting my special cat/dog food here now for 3 years and only ever had one problem with my food not being ordered. Great place and prices.

Took our two cats to Granville Vet. We had the best experience. Our wonderful cats were showered with attention from all the staff as we walked in. Dr Graeme Shelton was so friendly and knowledgeable. He made the cats' exam feel like they were getting petted rather than having a check up. It was a great experience.

When you're so chronically understaffed you start handing out discharge papers and information to the wrong people it's probably a sign you're doing something wrong. Starting to wonder if the person who recommended them to me was trying to get revenge for something.

Have taken our cats to Granville for years.

Prices are always very very fair, communication and updates are great, and you can tell that the ONLY thing they care about is the care and happiness of your furry inmates.:)

Dr. Graeme and Dr. Lehane are excellent. Cannot recommend this clinic enough.

Just to double check, I asked our two kittens about their last visit. Funny, all they mentioned was getting free treats… ;)

My husband and I have 3 beagles and we’ve been bringing all 3 here from the day we got each one. We’ve been going here for about 1.5 years now and we’ve had nothing but an excellent experience. We mostly see Dr. Pim and she’s just the loveliest person ever. While not all my doggies aren’t super keen on going to the vet, they sure love all the treats and cheese whiz they get here! I’ve felt that all the pricing is quite fair for their routine exams and annual vaccines. They’re also great about giving quotes about anything before decisions are made. We’re also extremely grateful that they will fax our dogs prescriptions to our (human) pharmacy so we are able to get his prescriptions for cheaper if they are able to be filled by our pharmacy. There is no pressure to purchase from them for anything and that makes me want to support them even more because I know they are there to support myself and my doggy family. Also, all the receptionists are SO LOVELY! They are always smiling, happy and give my doggies so much love!

This place cares so much about the pets and the pet owners. They absolutely understand that our animals are out family. Everyone is very supportive and helpful and they love my kitties when I bring them in. I always feel like a very proud mom

First time there with my new puppy. Staff was very friendly as was the doctor, excellent experience.

These guys are amazing. Our dog loves coming in, and they've always been forward and honest with us. I cannot recommend them enough.

Love Love Love this clinic. Both my pups see Dr. Amanda Hotke and have since they were 8 weeks old. I live in Mill Woods and drive the 25 to 30 minutes across the city to this clinic because I love them all so much. Amanda is great with the animals and the clinic is so responsive. My goldendoodle has recurring GI and urinary issues and the clinic always makes sure it is dealt with promptly to put my mind at ease. Highly recommend!

Has been a great experience! We all know it can be costly to make sure your dog is healthy. I was seeing a vet with no results so I thought I would give Granville Vet a try. Best decision my dog is finally feeling a lot better. Seen Dr. Lehane who has been amazing! Very thorough and follows up to ensure your pet is actually getting better. My dog is a senior Dog whom I adore so I am very glad I found this vet! Thank you for your compassion and caring for my Baby!

The staff here were amazing for squeezing my puppy in last minute for an urgent flushing of the glands. Dr. Wongsrikeao and the techs were so kind and knowledgeable for answering any concerns we may have had. This is the first vet my dog didn’t come home in discomfort or fear after an invasive treatment. Clearly they treat animals respectfully and we will be back! Thank you for all you do!

The dog care part was good, but the advice/etc about my dogs health felt like one big giant sales pitch for the dog food/chews they happen to have our front. And apparently raw dog food and bones are now bad for dogs.

Dr. Graeme was super amazing! He gave me all the information that I need because it was my first time to have a puppy and I have lots of questions. My little Toby was so happy! All the staff were very nice and helpful! Thank you Granville Clinic ️

The staff at Granville Vet Clinic have been so helpful and supportive as we have navigated and adjusted to our fur boy, Kingston’s diabetes diagnoses and treatment. It is incredibly reassuring to know we have a knowledgeable team behind us.

We have been going to Granville Vet for a few years now, and have always had a great experience with them! However, lately they really went above and beyond for us. Our 9 year old dog got a deep laceration in her neck. When I called to book an appointment they asked me to send a photo, but I may need to take her into the emergency vet as they were booked and didn't have any same day appointments. They soon called me back and told me that they would be able to squeeze her into surgery that day, and to bring her in. The fact that they would be willing to do this when they were already obviously very busy was super impressive. They even gave me multiple calls throughout the day to let me know how my dog was doing. Plus they included two follow-up appointments to make sure she healed well. They gave me easy to follow care instructions, and I felt well prepared for the recovery process. My dog is now 100% and doing great! Definitely would give this vet 6 stars if I could.

They really care about you and your animals. I really regret having changed Vet's as my friend worked at West-side Veterinary clinic.she has since moved away and they have a really uncaring Vet tech who made me feel terrible about my cat being overweight, every time I would go there she just had to get a dig in. So I came back to the Granville clinic and they welcomed me back no problem! Jennifer is my new Vet tech.and I couldn't be happier for my cat and myself as they really do care with a monthly check in for my cat and the proper food joint care med's and something for pain if she needs it. I will recommend them 110%!

Dr Hannah was so kind and had my cavapoo pup Henley feeling back to normal in no time. The staff were all great and welcoming. The prices were also very reasonable. Really happy I stumbled upon an appointment here! I will definitely be returning:)

Excellent veterinarian business I would recommend to anyone who loves their pets. I take both of my cats here, and they are both always at ease while getting check-ups and shots due to the care and patience of the veterinarians and staff. Great knowledge of preventative care to keep my guys health for many years to come, too.

Friendly and knowledgable staff. I know my cats are well taken care of here, accommodating for same day appointments when needed which is truly appreciated.

Dr. Hannah is fabulous, we take both of our Golden Retrievers Riley and Ruby to see her. She's everything you want in a vet and more. Looking forward to continuing our relationship with her for years to come. We have complete trust in her as a veterinarian. The entire team works hard to make this place great and they succeed! The amazing vets and staff helped us get through losing our cat on Monday. It was an incredibly hard day but they put our mind at ease and were extremely sympathetic and respectful to us and our Tigger. Thank you everyone for your kindness

I recently moved the area and switched to the Granville Vet Clinic. This was hands down one of the best experiences that my pooch and I have ever had at the vet. They were so warm and thorough and took time to make sure that all options were discussed. I left there with the feeling that the doctor genuainley cares about her clients. The cost was reasonable as well, I was pleasantly surprised. I recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a positive experience!

The staff here are patient and kind. They all put so much care and attention into you pet with no judgement on you. You can call if you have a quick concern and possibly save a trip out to the vet, and the doctors discuss all options with you thoroughly so that you can take the best course of action for your pet and your family.

I was nervous about bringing my little dude to a new vet, but everybody here was so very welcoming and caring, I was truly floored. Even when I thought they'd have to restrain him to give him a needle, a second staff member came in and just massaged his neck - he was loving it so much that he didn't even notice the needles!

If I could give 6 stars, I would.

Amanda and all the team was excellent when our brand new puppy got pretty sick the first week home. They went above and beyond and so happy I found them.

This guy loves his vet visit. Very kind and sweet staff. They were very thorough and they even gave him a free checkup after his ear infection within 2 weeks to make sure he was healed.

The staff here a great! Dr. Amanda is knowledgeable and will take the time to talk through all your options with a sense of compassion and an understanding of your budget. Recently moved to Ottawa and we can not find a comparable vet. I would recommend taking your pets here over anywhere else in Edmonton.

Staff is amazing, they are so gentle and loving with my dogs. I have been taking both my dogs there for a couple years after moving them from a different vet. The food may be pricier than pet smart but that's because it's better quality. But having said that their main goal isnt to sell you dog food. They are not a pet food store. They have the food that helps dogs who have digestive issues etc and their goal is to heal your dog.

Granville Vet Clinic was recommended by a friend, and I can not say enough about this clinic. They have great hours, can always fit us in and very welcoming. We had a dog who was quite a bit of work and never did they make us feel like we were an inconvenience. The entire clinic is friendly and compassionate and they are very knowledgeable. There were a couple appointments that we needed asap, and we were able to see another doctor (over Christmas no less) who was obviously up to speed on our dog and her chart because we didn't have to explain the scenario. To us that shows a clinic who cares and is compassionate about what they do.

This vet cares to take time to answer your questions with never making you feel rushed. Our puppy has been several times and will be back again soon. They already know us when we walk in and we know who to call if we ever have an issue with our puppy.

Staff is great, quality of procedures is good.
Whats not good is last minute unnecessary tests performed only to bill more. Unethical to call on the day of surgery and pull a fast one with test request. Which sure enough we authorized over the phone, as we were worried for the DOG. But it was never discussed before and we discovered later was not needed. Extensive hormone screening while a month old blood work show all in norm. Great experience for the dog, turned to not really just because of someone's greed.
