Great Canadian Oil Change

My family has been coming to the 16th Ave location since it was minit lube for probabaly 3 decades. We have always liked the people and they take good care of our vehicles. Now that GCOC has tire changing capabilities it makes it a really convenient 1 stop shop with the same great people!

Our experience was great! Friendly service and quick! The kids had also received a nice treat! Would definitely recommend! Thanks again!

This was the first time I had come here but I tell you I will come back. Jon was very friendly, professional, and willing to go the extra mile when I asked him to do a couple other little things. There was no hesitation it was just you bet. No pushy up sales very fast. And the price was more than reasonable. Thank you to all the staff you were great.see you soon

I have taken my vehicles to this location many times and have had excellent service, until today. I think you may want to spend a little more time training your staff before they hit the floor. The two gentlemen working on my vehicle up top, had almost zero clue, overfilling my truck with a few extra litres that had to be removed after a no measuring free pour. Not a great experience and definitely won't be returning

Staff are the best, honest, professional and gives honest discussions about what needs to be changed and when it needs to be done.

I was there for an oil change, and windows were down as it was hot out, and I needed to converse with the attendant. It was after the manager left that I heard fhe mechanic talking with his co-worker that because I wasn't doing the maintenance of getting the leak fixed that it was going to cost thousands of dollars in the long run.
It hurt because I know what has to be done, and I know how much money I have to do it. When you are on a budget, you pick and choose what needs to get done on your vehicle.
I also know how check to check my oil and transmission fluid, so I am not too worried about it, but I will check with my mechanic.
As for the other people complaining about the lack of work I have done, that is just wrong, and put yourself in my shoes to see how you would feel.
I talked to the manager the day after this happened and was informed by him about everything they're doing. I will give it another try when I need an oil change again.

Terrific service and honesty from this business. I arrived 1000 kms early for my oil change and they noticed right away and informed me. I really appreciate the clear and honest communication. I will be back again - literally in 1000kms

The one in Lethbridge off of 43rd Street now charges $3.00 for window washer fluid. Plus the will not give you a printed receipt.

I enjoyed my oil change today. It was fast and efficient. Bran was super helpful, courteous, and not pushy to sell. I appreciated the stress-free experience. Will be coming back again!

Went in on a holiday Monday because check engine light was on. Needed cvt transmission fluid change and oil change- received great service. Friendly staff, reasonable price, and no high pressure upsell. Good teamwork on display and they were doing a great job training a new staff person on their first day. I will definitely go back there for service.

Okay, these guys are amazing! We went for an oil change and normally my husband does them but we were short on time. Did we pay more? Yeah of course but I had my mind at ease because they checked everything and didn't over sell me. They were patient with my lack of knowledge and having to text my husband to help know what I needed. Also checked my check engine light and helped me figure out what we needed to do. Had a problem right outside their shop a few weeks later, unrelated to the oil change and they quickly read the code and found the problem within 2 minutes and to top it off they didn't charge us and they were so kind and helpful! Cannot say enough good about them!

Bring your vehicle here if you want to be misled by false information, they are not informed and not properly trained on even checking your oil properly, they upsell services that are not even required on the vehicle. Do not go here for any services!

Excellent! A million times better than Mr. Lube. They told us our oil is clean and we don't need to change it were as Mr. Lube tells you your oil is clean but after they've changed it.excellent service. I highly recommend.

The guys I had today were super knowledgeable, helpful and nice! First time having to do an oil change in the car since my package at the dealership ran out and these guys made it easy! Thank you! I will be back!

We had a great experience today with Zach changing our oil and Zach talking everything through with us! He was incredibly friendly and made my kids day giving them play-doh while we waited. It brightened our day having someone so kind and friendly talking with us today also very quick which was awesome.

AMAZING service! I had a family of mice living in my cabin system, they hoarded probably a litre of sunflower seeds, dog food, etc! Johnny was so good about cleaning it all up, even after finding the dead baby mice! Very thankful for him. Ali took care of the oil change part of things. I’m a very satisfied customer and will definitely be coming back thanks to them.

I just came back from trying to get my oil changed here and had to sit down and write a review! I went in because even though I wasn't at the milage change needed (under by 3000) I was over the previous suggested date and my change oil light kept coming on. Alejandro was great, he checked my oil, said it was still good and that I didn't need to change it yet and that they'd probably forgot to reset it last time (at another shop). He still checked my tires, adjusted their pressures and topped up my washer fluid and anti-freeze. And didn't charge me anything or waste my $$ on getting an oil change that I didn't need. As someone who doesn't know much about my car besides how to drive it, I really appreciated his honesty, integrity and friendliness. I will definitely be returning here when I do need my oil changed again!)

Johnny gave excellent service! He was fast, efficient and knowledgeable! As a girl you always think they are going to try to talk you into needing everything but Johnny explained everything well. I didn’t feel like I was being taken advantage of as it was obvious I knew nothing. Highly recommend this place & Johnny!

This is the only place I will take my vehicles to get an oil change. Everyone is friendly and professional, I love that it's quick and decently priced. I never feel pressured into buying anything I don't need.

I had a great experience, felt like I was a VIP! I came to get an oil change on Sunday and most places were closed in Lethbridge. There was no line up, and got a great deal with a $20 coupon instead of the regular $6 online coupon to use. AMAZING! It is getting harder to find places for regular oil changes at less than $50 for a 4 cylinder vehicle nowadays, especially without making an appointment. Not only did I get honest feedback and service, Jon and Ali even helped me get some corrosion off my car battery. Thank you so much for the amazing hospitality! Will definitely be coming back for my next oil change!:)

Quick and efficient service. Staff have always been polite and informative. No appointment necessary, just show up, and staff will direct you to a bay door where your vehicle is serviced while you wait.

Best of all -They will inform you of services that would be beneficial to your vehicle, but are not pushy in the slightest. Yes you pay a little bit more for the convenience of a "walk in/no appointment scenario" but in my opinion they are certainly worth checking out. Plus, they're Canadian!

I went in on Friday July 16,2021 to have my oil changed. It was the first time I had ever used the services of Great Canadian Oil Change. I was absolutely impressed with the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Everyone says that phrase, but in this instance it was exactly that. The culture and the atmosphere of the crew was one of positivity and you could see they were fostering a great working environment for themselves and the customers. I had Zack as my technician and Lane as the "mechanic? ' Lane did the dirty work. Zack was amazing and did not push extras or upsell. He told me everything they were doing or going to do every step of the way. He "suggested" an engine flush because due to personal issues my vehicle had missed an oil change and was ready for another. The oil was beyond filthy and so was the engine. He was not pushy He explained it and walked away. I called him back to say lets do it. What a huge difference it made in the way my engine sounds and runs. This is my new go to place for oil changes and I hope to have Zack and Lane as my team. Thank you again for your professional service and the positive great working environment.

Quick professional service and the air fresheners smell pretty good. 10/10 will get oil change there again

They were quick, friendly, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend. Cheaper oil changes on Sunday, too. Support them so they can also open a place on the west side! I was in and out in 10 minutes, most efficient place I've been to. Couldn't be happier.

Stopped in for my oil change & they informed me after looking at my file that the sticker they printed off last time was wrong & that I in fact didn’t need to get my oil changed as I still had 6k to go. It was super meaningful that they didn’t just take advantage & do the oil change anyway. They filled up my windshield washer fluid, gave me a water & sent me on my way! Always a good experience there!

The employees at this shop were honest with me and upfront that my specific engine model has double the regular oil change interval. They could have scammed me and changed it anyway without saying anything (something Mr. Lube has done to me) but they were honest. Hats off to these employees and this shop.

As someone who knows enough about cars to get by on her own I was deeply annoyed when I couldn't figure out what was going on with my car. I brought it in and the boys knew almost immediately what was wrong. Even though I came in just before closing they were willing to take the extra bit of time necessary and do a coolant flush. Such a relief for me. Thank you so much Jordan and Karl, you guys are awesome!

Honest, kind and efficient. Called the store to see if they had my oil in stock and they found me an oil that was cheaper and better for my van! I am beyond happy. Becca, Zac and John are amazing. There was another human underneath.

The service you get is excellent but also the advice of experienced technicians is very valuable.

My car had a broken bumper before I got there but when I pulled in some plastic prices broke off from hitting the service pit.all the workers there just laughed when that happened. I asked the tech if anything broke and he just laughed. Another man looked at my car and laughed at how I fixed my rad support. (It was fixed roughly because at the time I had no money to fix it properly). They all treated it like a joke and acted like I knew nothing about the car even though I'm a farm mechanic. I will not be going back to this unprofessional place.

I went in for battery problems- got a speedy diagnosis and friendly, fair, professional service. Johnny and Ashton were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Always Great Canadian Oil Change is my first stop. Even with the new staff- quality still tops!

Friendly service. A little more expensive than other places but not by much. Was out of windshield fluid to.

After I had requested an oil change the service technician informed me that the vehicle was NOT due for an oil change due to the low mileage. I believe that this company should be recognized for the integrity that the employees show.
I did get the oil change in the minimum time frame of eight minutes and was on my way.

I came into just get an oil change December 14th 2020 (always go to you guys for friendly service) I am just a little disappointed the technician removed the dipstick to show me the level of oil (the second time, not the first) and he broke it and now my dipstick is stuck in there. The manager on shift did not seem to care at all and when the mechanic asked what to do she said nothing and more or less said that it’s my problem not theirs and that their is nothing They can do. So I didn’t make a fuss cause it wasn’t worth it and now I’m stuck with having to pay for a broken dipstick and pay to get it removed when it wasn’t my fault at all? All I wanted was an oil change and I left with more problems it does not seem right that you guys wouldn’t have offered to fix it or pay for it. I’m just a little frustrated as it’s gonna now take time out of my day to schedule and go to an appointment and pay for it too when that’s the last thing I needed right now.

Waited outside for a little over an hour. Didn't move. It wasn't until I was parked for 45 minutes, someone came out and said that they were waiting on a part. In that time the person behind me was able to drive over the concrete curb and pull ahead of me in the stall beside me. Rather unwelcoming staff, and extremely unprofessional. Waste of time, will not ever return.

I dealt with a technician named Johnny as well as another guy I don’t know his name and I was driving a company vehicle and I thought it needed an oil change they check the oil in the air filter and looked at the sticker for the last oil change and told me I did not need an oil change it looked like a gut not reset last time by the previous company anyway these guys are absolutely honest and that’s the best thing about my visit today is dealing with honest people knowing that you can trust your vehicle there thank you very much for your help

I was fortunate enough to get a oil change, when they had their sale off, the Young Lady Manager, was awesome, She and Her crew were handing out cold water to everyone in the line up waiting to be served. Despite the hot weather. My respect To This Young people.

Amazing service, very respectful, didn't charge for any extras. The manager is wonderful! And instead of upselling me on the more expensive product they gave me a better product that cost less. Definitely worth it
