Great selection of items to use on the dial in the wash bays (wax, soap, etc) bays are decent size and clean. Lost a star as I was depositing coins and they didn't go very far when switching g over from soap to rinse. Wasted prob $1.00 clearing out the hose so there was no soap spraying out during my rinse off.
Some additional signage would make understanding your wash better. For example, include height limits on the wash door entrances. For your truck was bays include a sign saying pull forward. There are two wash stations in this bay.
When i first started washing the peterbilt, everything was working great. The last year has been beyond terrible. Now, nothing works, and do not get your moneys worth. Too bad, now no better than driving your truck through water puddles. I am finally done. And we have a corperate account.
I have always brought my work 3/4 ton here, now coming with my personal vehicle. Choice of automated or wand wash. New automatic system installed! Great customer service, team members always ready to help! Only car wash in the area; super convenient!
This car wash is close to work so I thought I'd try the self-serve wash. First and last time though as it's expensive, the hoses are too short, they leak and there's way too much wait time between cycles when you're switching from pre soak to soap, etc. Convenient way to increase the charges. The quality of the wash, chemicals and pressure was poor as well compared to other washes in the city.
Speaking of charges, I shut the wash off at just over $15 and was conveniently charged over $16. And on top of that, two charges of $33 for pre-authorization?
I was in auto car wash this Saturday, after car wash when I try to keep my side mirrors back in position I found that the mirror cover is missing. I went back in auto car wash and found the cover on side, and noticed that it got some discolouration and crack in it. They guy in auto car wash told me to report the incident, I do the same. The guy in office went out to help me to fix the cover and then I found out the side mirror is moving, that guy try to fix but even broke it more. Then we went back in office to report the incident, he showed me 2 cameras recording- one where I was driving towards car wash and my side mirror is good, other when I was in car wash at dryers and my side mirror is moving with the air and the cover went out. It’s clear that my side mirror broken in the automatic car wash. Now I am using ziplocks to keep my side mirror on place. Since Saturday I am waiting for response for my report, but no reply. I tried 3-4 times to contact but first there manager wasn’t there, now they are disconnecting my call. I need a quick resolution.
Poorly maintained… Quick wash turned into hours of removing tar… here’s the story. Stopped in for a wash, rinsed the brush because well, that’s just what you have to do. BUT after washing the VW there was globs of Tar/Oil not sure but It was allllll over the car. Spoke to front desk and honest word for word reply was “ok” but luckily a gentleman who works there came by with the solid useless advice of “try a presoak”. Pro tips for the owners here 1) clean your gear 2) maybe teach workers how to respond to this type of situation 3) WD-40 works for removing tar from vehicles, might want to keep some handy. A few sample pics to show some of the fresh tar or whatever it is on my VW. Thanks for making my last wash at your place a memorable one. - Resolved!
Back up to 4 stars for the follow up from the owner. Thanks!
Every year, Great White Car and Truck Wash hosts a spooky and entertaining Halloween experience. Our boys love going through the car wash and being surprised by all the staff wearing costumes.
Staff ensures the car is Pre rinsed before entering auto wash. Had membership since grand opening. The right side spinner brush is always broken down. Lost a star for this reason. Monthly membership only worth it if you go minimum 2-3 washes a month.
Had a better experience this week, than before, bays are starting to get muddy/greasy so 1 star off. Pressure/Soap/Price is reasonable and I can get my semi cleaner here faster, than anywhere else.
This facility is amazing! Well built and put together nicely. Definitely one of the nicer truck washes in and around Calgary. I am unfortunately leaving this kind of review because the first and last time I came here I was very disappointed. When it costs $125+ to wash a big rig, it should not leave the truck wash still dirty. If you are like me and like to wash your rig with a foam brush, this is not the place to go as neither bays have foam brushes, nor do they have [clean] hand brushes to at least scrub with soap just from the wand. It's unfortunate that such a nice and new facility does not offer the staple service that any other car/truck wash does.
Every time we visit the car wash whether it is using the full-serve or self-serve, it's always clean and the maintenance is always up-to-date. The pricing is great, especially being able to purchase different packages. Wonderful place always!
Went for a carwash couple weeks ago, Used the triple foam and the pink residue won’t come off, from under my 3M on the front hood. Very disappointed, was convinced by the employee on site to fill out an incident report form and the owner will contact within 24-48hrs. No call or communication till this date. Very poor quality chemicals. Won’t ever go again.
I come here very often to wash my vehicle, and if my workplace was closer I'd likely bring the trucks I wash here as well. Been through the auto wash before, sadly they no longer allow fixed mirrors but it's very good. The wand wash is outstanding; plenty of stalls, the angle for entering them is really good, and the options for products is terrific. Friendly staff tend to do very well at helping out, keeping everything clean, and overall adding to the experience. Coins not being accepted anymore is a tad odd, but no one uses those anymore anyways so it's cool. Overall 10/10 recommended to anyone in South Calgary
This is a well overdue review. I think when I first visited I put a 5 star with no description. After maybe 100 visits now, I can happily say this is the carwash for me. There's self serve options for cars, trucks, and semitrucks. A full 53foot semi can fit easily in their bays. There's also 2 autowashes, which are pretty good but I prefer to wandwash myself. The water pressure is always great, warm water too. There is presoak, spray soap, soap brush (don't use it on your paint please people), trifoam soap, rainx spray, wheel cleaner, and vacuums. I am someone who takes their time washing and it usually comes to about $15 (same as an auto wash which is nice that I'm not spending $30 on a wandwash. The team there is great. If there's ever an issue, it gets fixed immediately and I've never seen any washbays closed. Overall, I love this place and look forward to many more washes, and pictures of my shiny Bella. Thanks as always, Great White!
Very nice, new facility. The only minor annoyance was that the self cleaning stalls don't take debit, only credit cards. To use debit I had to pre load a card. Not ideal. But the facility is great!
Love this place. I'm very fussy with my new truck, and prefer the self wash. Looked at the reviews before coming here the first time a couple of months back. Everyone seemed to like it, the bad reviews were all the "Cheap Charlies". The quality of the equipment and soaps and waxes, clearly justifies the price. All you Cheap Charlies, - you know the ones that just the foam brush to scrub with the bay off, clearly don't respect the equipment or their ride, please stay away. It gets us vehicle lovers inside quicker.
The place charges $1.25 per min and the hoses take about half that time to change between wash options Spent $10 here and still left with a unclean car. Total rip off. Will Never be back
Clean facility, friendly and helpful staff, the wand wash was great, and nice choice of cleaning supplies inside for sale. I will definitely be returning!
I used to wash my car at the Top Gear car wash, but we live in the SE and to be fair it's a far drive for us just to wash the car. When we found out about the Great White car wash and visited it, my husband and I were very happy! Everything is brand new, fast, great customer service!
Truck & trailer washes can be done within 20 minutes. I love the undercarriage wash too (auto-wash lane only). This place is a must for all truckers specially if you dont have much down time. If you truck thru the US, this place would be comparable to the Blue Beacon! ($90 included a gentle scrub from the their team)
It's a really nice facility for cars and trucks, at least on the self serve side. I tried the automatic wash and ended up having to go back into the self serve side after it did a really poor job on my car. The auto wash leaves a lot to be desired, let's just leave it at that. It's also not touchless, but it didn't leave any marks or scratches for what that's worth.
On the self serve side you get a decent amount of product, such as a foam gun and rain-x. Problem with the foam gun is it takes over a minute to build up pressure, and when you are being charged by the minute that's kind of a piss off. Overall it's OK. Wish it had an air dryer on the self serve side as you exited.
“Hello sir, how are you today? Thanks for coming in”. That’s how I am greeted at Great White. It resonates, and is a symbol of their customer service. This is a premium grade car wash that was much needed in the south end. Brand new equipment, clean bays and friendly staff. For anybody who likes to Baby their ride, or just needs a quick rinse, this place is a breath of fresh air. Thank you. Keep up the good work.
Went through the Bing auto truck Wash 157$ and I had to wash it again right after did a terrible job will never go back Scott's does a much better job for half the price.
This just might be the best truck wash in Alberta. There is plenty of room on both sides in pull through bays along with excellent dispersion of all washing and cleaning chemicals. Tangle free hoses give the washing experience ease and full unobstructed access.
Great new facility. Bright and clean. I used the automatic wash and it did a decent job. A bit more water on the rinse would be nice, but i understand. Next time I'll use the self serve.
I was very excited to try this car wash but was left disappointed. I get a much better clean from Esso for the same price. I was left with dirt on windows and mirrors and steaks around the whole car. Probably won’t be back which is too bad because it sounds like there is a lot of fun stuff going on - perhaps focus on the wash quality though.
Way to high price for per minute. It almost work out to $1.78 per minute. Other truck washes n calgary and sournding area are like $ 1.10 a min. It will take $5 to start a give u 2 mins. Never ever i will go there. First a and last time. I will not recommend anyone unless u want to wast ur money.
Definitely one of the best car washes in the city, if not the best. All the equipment in the self wash was working impeccably. Second time tried the auto/drive thru-wash, amazing!
Signed up with the monthly automatic car wash, only to find my vehicle scratched.not even a month of use and both sides of my car damaged, other then the experience I have had the staff working there are great and full of knowledge.
Self service bays are nice and clean and large. Foam gun was a bit weak when I was there today. Only thing missing in self service bays is carpet cleaners with the vacuum.
Water was cold. Spent $20.00 to wash my truck. Mentioned the cold water to the attendant and all he said was he would mention it to someone and get.the cold water fixed. No offer to compensate me for a poor wash. Likely won't go back. Very sad as the facility looked to be first class otherwise.
