Green Chili

Food not edible, too much sugar and no flavors at all.
We ordered a couple of items as we always do, firstly we did not get the discount that was promised to us, she ran the credit card when we asked where the 10 percent discount was, she said she will credit it in the next order when we order. I find this a tactic to have the client go back, weather you like it or not and a deliberate inconvenience. The Shahi Panner was not edible, it felt like a sweetened milk was added to the gravy, may be Condensed milk, there was no taste or flavors. The same went for the Butter chicken, upon calling them to request something be done, as our dinner was ruined, the first guy who picked up hung up when I advised that this was a complain, on the second call a lady answered and, insisted that both the dishes were good and that is how they make them, which is not true.as I have ordered food from this location before. Finally they agreed to refund me for only Shahi Panner and not the butter chicken. It was cold and snowing on a Saturday, and they insisted I return the Shahi Panner, which I told them I cannot, I have thrown out the food and all our dinner was ruined. I will never order from this restaurant again.there was no apology on the contrary, they insisted that their food was good as always, I am requesting a refund on the butter chicken and the discount promised be credited back to my credit card, this is simply ridiculous, and a grave lack of customer service.

I just visited Calgary n wondering for some Indian food. Green chili is the awesome restaurant where I got so many options.awesome restaurant n best customer service. I have ever seen.

I have been craving butter chicken with garlic naan and also separately have been craving rice pudding for months lol and I was able to get both here! I had ordered from Skip and they were busy and there was a delay, but I was updated they need more time and it was maybe only by 20 minutes and I got it. It was definitely worth the wait:)

Hands down best indian restaurant in all of Calgary! Everything is so fresh & yummy and the service is amazing. Cannot recommend this enough. Must try Malai kofta and chicken tikka masala.

Would NOT recommend this restaurant!
Ordered dal makhani and chicken pakoras, food was stale. Dal seemed like it was leftovers from yesterday and spoiled. Chicken pakoras were so hard that it was impossible to chew. Had to throw away everything. Extremely disappointed!

Excellent food, and friendly and very helpful staff. We had take-out, with Lamb Roganjosh, Chicken Jalfarezi and Palak Mushroom, and they were all first-class.

I've been going to Green Chili at Crowfoot for many years, for both dine-in and take-out, and for a few years I felt that the food quality had dropped off. However, this most recent meal was as good as it ever was, and possibly even better.

Bought onion bhajiya today and it was just an over fried dough of gram flour. Onion bhajiya without onions. Disappointed.

I am sorry, I cannot call you to discuss onion bhajiyas. Please do not justify your errors, that's not how customer service works. Apologize; rectify, do better!

First time ordering and the flavor was fantastic. I ordered three different dishes and each of them included cashew as an ingredient to determine how much flavor and effort went into the dish to distinguish them apart. Of course, two of the three cashew dishes are often my staple favorites for Indian food. Malai Kofta, Shahi Paneer, Chicken Korma.

The only downside, and reason I gave three star review, is all three dishes I ordered was 80% sauce in terms of ratio content. Great for dipping the fresh naan bread, but something to remember and keep in consideration the next time I order. Will return again!

I ordered butter chicken and samosas. The taste was okay, nothing special but not terrible. The chicken was dry, not like butter chicken should be. The beef samosa wasn't very flavourful.

Just ordered 6 prices of Samosas and I was charged 14 dollars for them, which is the highest amount I ever paid for samosas in my life. Usually 6 samosas would be 6 to 8 dollars. Let me mention I ordered just samosas not samosas with channe (lentils). Tastes alright.

Honestly i did not like the food at all, Naan were burned and Butter chicken was too sweet - i saw other reviews about butter chicken being bad but never thought it will be this bad.

Ordered from skip and this was my first time trying this place. I heard great things from a friend and they were right. The food is delicious. I love trying different Indian places and this is one of my favorites and definitely ranks up there for best Butter Chicken. Kind of sad that an order of Na'an bread is only 2 pieces but that's pretty common everywhere so I'm glad I got 2 orders. For the price you really cant go wrong considering the portions of rice and sauces are generous. Will definitely be ordering from here again.

Ordered a food from your restaurant. It is totally waste of my money! Chicken titk m tasteless and the sauce that chicken was put in was.butter chicken sauce. Naan bread was brunt and very think which I can taste the dough. I don’t know what kinda naan bread is this. Basically I ordered from your restaurant to straight to garbage. Thank you for your service. I will never recommend or come back to your restaurant ever again.

I went to the restaurant last week after the reopening of the pandemic.i took my wife and kids with to experience the dine-in.
We really like the ambiance and the service the food was fresh and hot and tasted delicious.i had a great experience and i will recommend all my friends to go there.thumbs up to green chili.

Chicken Bharta with a side of garlic naan is a best cure for tiredness. Eating here is always a lovely experience. Love your food guys.

Some of the better pakistani food in town. Great real flavors compared to the bland tasteless heat you get at most other similar restaurants.
Read some reviews before ordering my lamb biryani and while I agree that their prices are slightly on the higher side, I can't name one other place that gives you this much meat in your meal. Two people could eat out of it easy!

The Peshawari chole was a disgrace! Bland, no flavor whatsoever! What a complete let down. Never ordering from this place.

The food is good but either pick up or use a courier service (normally not a fan of courier service). Their delivery driver charges $7 or $8. Too much when Skip offers free for orders over $20.

Food tastes fine, but the place is on bit pricey side. There are many good Indian restaurants in the area who offer better prices and food.

This place has many ups and downs. This time it was an up. The quality of the lamb and chicken was very good and a takeout meal usually lasts for two meals.

We have ordered a few times from Green Chili as well as from some of the competitors. The food here is always nice. My wife and I as well as our children enjoy them. The staff is friendly although we only done takeout. Our favorites include the eggplant dish, the Rogan Josh, the lentil dishes and Ali Goobi. The Nan are nice too. It is very close to our place so we tend to order from GC at Crowfoot often lately when we want Indian food.

Really good better chicken, not super spicy but had good favor. The naan was a little thick and hard to eat. Very good though.

Had a great take out meal from this location. Like others, I didn’t have high hopes for a chain but was pleasantly surprised. Butter chicken was good and the chicken vindaloo was perfect. Naan was cooked to perfection. We would absolutely order from here again!

I always enjoy the food here. The goat vindaloo is a personal favourite, but pretty much everything on the menu is amazing! The service is spot on, and the prices are very reasonable.

A below average experience at dinner time. We had butter chicken, appetizer platter (beef samosa, chicken and fish pakora) and regular naan. The service is good, table are very small even for two guests. Averages around $15/dish which after tasting the food feels a lot more expansive.

The food was pretty good and the customer service was really good not going to lie but just like the other review mentioned the food is really expensive compared to the alternatives and the food comes in really small portions. If 4 people want a solid meal you will have to spend at least $70 which compared to the other Indian restaurants in Calgary that charge $10 a person during lunch time in the NE. Also the tables were really crowded but didn't really impact the experience since from were we sat. Overall I would recommend it to anybody that lives in the NW but in NE their are better options.

Fabulous experience. Best taste and flavour like in Calgary. After tasting, I am not missing indian taste more. Good vibes and attractive decor. Super polite staff and serve best in busy time too. In short, fast and affectionate.

Didn’t expect much from a chain but was pleasantly surprised. Butter chicken was flavourful and tasty, and was a big portion for the price. Veg samosas were also delicious, as was the sauce that came with it. Server was friendly and I have no complaints; maybe just need a waiting area to sit in while to-go orders are being made. Will order from here again.

It was okay. Had Butter Chicken (meh) and Korma Chicken (better). Neither were super flavourful but they didn't taste bad. Don't recommend the regular Nana bread, it was dry. At least get the butter one.

Whenever I crave Indian food, I make the trip across town for their amazing and delightful food. My friends know that when I invite them to lunch, we will be eating here!

Last night i tried their Chicken Biryani for the first time, i ordered on phone and i didn't know the price so i ordered 2 Biryani. When i got there they charged me $33.60 for 2 Biryanis. Although from any other restaurant like Faisal Kabab Hut, Fatima, Dawat etc, i can get 4 (same size box) of Chicken biryani for $32 ($8 per box). And the taste was good as same as other restaurants. So Green Chili charged me more than double for what i could get from anywhere else. Never going there again!

I wish i could give 0 star Had a mixed platter to go tonight with prawns, malai chicken, beef kabob and sub tandori for lamb kabob.
First of all she didnt give me lamb kabob even though I repeated my order and she said ok.
I got home to know to realize the food is disgusting!
The prawns and chicken are a 5/10 nothing special
And the kabobs were -1/10 complete horrible. They were dry and chewy had no flavour it was like i was eating processed meat. I spit it out and gave the rest to my dog and sure wont be ever coming back again.

Very mediocre environment and flat taste. Service was good but small portion size compare to what they charging for it. Not everything I order felt freshly made. In my honest opinion, this place can do much better, but for now I won't recommend it to other people.

The food was amazing! My family and I had an assortment of dishes (highly recommend the chicken vindaloo and palak paneer) and everything was delicious. The food tasted super fresh and we received amazing service from Leena at the front desk and our server. We didnt have to wait long to receive our food, and all appetizers and mains came to our table at a nice pace for us to be able to enjoy it fully.

The portions are quite large so come with an appetite!

I barely write reviews but feel i needed to share this experience. Their service was horrible.we sat down and she asked us what we wanted to drink. Then didn't come back to take our order or bring us our tea for 20 mins. There was only 2 tables and they were pretty much done their food. So we just left. Will never come here again.
