Green Line Hose & Fittings Ltd.

A rip-off place!
$210 for a 12 meter of 1/2" PVC hose.
I should have asked before they cut it for me!

I have used Green Line numerous times over the past 6 or 7 years and I have always been very pleased with their customer service, that is until my most recent interaction. I went to the location on Manitou Road to purchase two hoses that were approximately 4ft in length. I did arrive at this location around 4: 30 pm and unfortunately, they did not have the hoses that I required in stock. The staff checked the system and informed me that the location on 61 Ave did have those items in stock and that there was still enough time to make it to the other location before they closed at 5 pm.

I had no problem driving to the other location but when I arrived at the location on 61 Ave at 4: 55 pm to pick up the hoses, I found that the front door was closed and locked. The two employees inside completely ignored me hoping that I would go away but to their displeasure, I didn't. When the final two customers in the store were leaving, I asked why the door was locked before 5: 00 pm and that my request was a very simple and easy one to help me with.

Well, that's when the two employees started yelling and cursing at me saying that I showed up after 5: 00 pm and that one was going to miss his bus. He continually used profanity and was very unprofessional and rude. I understand that it is unfortunate when a customer shows up at the last minute but my request was very easy and if the door was open until 5: 00 pm, they would have found that my order would have taken 2-3 mins maximum.

If your employees are that upset about not being able to leave right at 5: 00 pm, maybe you should close your store at 4: 45 which would leave 15 minutes to serve any customers that were left in the store before closing. I did not appreciate how they handled this and how belligerent they became when I explained my situation.

Staff is amazing and very knowledgeable. Always seem to have the parts I need. Staff is always so calm given the line ups at this location.

Incredible product knowledge and expertise from the older guy with the (maybe English?) accent at the parts counter. I received customer service I haven't experienced in at least 30 years. Friendliness, courtesy, superior product knowledge and desire to help are just some this gentlemen's qualities. Thank you very much!

Green Line Hose & Fittings was super helpful, knowledgeable and had a large selection of inventory. Definitely a go to when need of high pressure hoses.

One guy serving customers on a friday afternoon, I was there 20mins just to have him tell me they didn't have the fitting.

Very helpful staff- I needed an oil feed hose on a Saturday with specific ends. They were able to make me a custom length hose, while I waited. It’s good to know places like this exist. Highly recommended. Cheers.
