I love the buffet here. I recently went for the $5 stampede breakfast buffet which was really good. I was a bit disappointed they ran out of pancakes but the rest was good
Overall.a somewhat OK experience. The price for a One Bedroom King Suite for 2 nights. I should have stuck with my original plan of a downtown condo. Nothing noteworthy about the room. It was clean but I did end up cleaning the seriously stained sink in the wet bar and the coffee maker before using it. If you do not have a vehicle avoid this place. Not pedestrian friendly at all. I will give a major shout out to Jade who is an evening housekeeper, she gets a 5 star rating for being the happiest and most upbeat staff member in the entire hotel that appeared to actually like her job. Front Desk team could learn something from her. At the end of stay.would I return? Nope. Not even to go to what is probably the most disappointing Casino I have ever been to. Nevada, BC and other Alberta casinos are hands down better.
The food at their buffet was great. While the hot food is served by the chefs, the cold food, including the dessert bar, are self-serve. Service was great as well. A wonderful way to get a memorable dining experience in Calgary!
First time staying here. Nice room size. Wished there was a microwave in the room. Stayed in king pet package. I know they have to price it for average or worst pets so for our 5 lb 8 yr old dog the additional amount for a Dollar store bowl, treat and several rolls of poop bags may not be worth it to return (?). Good idea but but maybe change in the goodies to being value to the additional charge for this package? Maybe some logo goodies? Just a thought
Great place, gambling, smoking and drinking.needs more attractive scantily clad female servers but otherwise it's great. Food is also good but the buffet is not.
I so much love the concept of this resort and event centre. It is so large and spacious for event hosting.
I love the first nation theme at this resort, it helps to know more about the first nation community and also the food was so great. First time here and was so impressed with the hospitality. Will surely be back here again.
Amazing value for the price. I love the Pan Asian night with all the Sashimi and hot Chinese food. The service was also great from everyone I interacted with!
Food was great. Even though the prices have gone up, this is still incredible value for money. We arrived with just over an hour to go. Due to COVID, they now have Chefs putting food on your plate which is great. We only had 4 people in line with only two servers, so it wasn't too bad - not sure what it would be like at buffet rush hour.
I feel really discriminated by all the stuff member today. I have bronchus asthma and I tell them that I can’t breath with it if I’m moving and I am exempt to wear the mask. Well they told me that I should have a paper and prove them and they start getting aggressive telling me that I don’t have nothing and calling me a layer but I’m not. And then I was gonna show them a picture but they wanted a hard copy prof. I mean in the first place that’s against my privacy and in the second place I wish nobody have to deal with this because we already have a hard l life and people like me have hard time breathing without a puffer and in top of that getting discriminated by a bunch of people is not cool.
Very nice facility. I like that they have a non-smoking area. Would be a great place to hold a conference. The event center is nice. They seem to book alot of great acts.
Interesting place to hang out with abundant buffet breakfast and dinner, with casino games littering the spacious edifice. Won a couple of dollars and eat like an hungry man. Grey Eagle is fun but make sure you are fully vaccinated before coming. It is well.
I came here for the buffet during the last couple days before the second lock-downs began. Since you can't actually dish up yourself anymore, it does admittedly take away from the "All you can eat" experience, but that is out of their control. That being said, you still can go up as many times as you want and the staff are pretty friendly. On the day that I went they had ham and turkey as the main dishes, you could also get a number of other items such as stuffing, duck, mashed sweet potatoes, etc. Of course, there was the desert table which included butter tarts, puddings, jellos, pies, etc. If I recall correctly, they also had some diabetic friendly options, which I thought was very thoughtful. This was actually my first time here and I will be back once the lock-downs are over and things start to return to normal.
This is not a very good place to work. Especially working there as a house keeper. The Tsuu 'Tina Nation highly favours their own. Being an out of towner working there, I was always getting singled for everything and anything. I was always getting written up, the security was always watching me anywhere and everywhere I went. I felt disrespected by the head security Earl and Ted. They were always finding reasons to get me fired. One night I over heard the floor manager Patricia talking to my boss and telling her that I will be fired and never ever allowed to work there or step foot in that place again. I strongly feel that I have done nothing wrong while working there, my quality of work there was superior and it was always done on time. I was never late for work and never bothered anyone in the hallways or while on the floor. And last but not least, don't ever apply to be a housekeeper there, they walk all over their housekeepers and favor the dealers. I was barely making 1000 dollars tax free there and barely any tips. I hated working there, I hated the way the Nation treated me and I hate the head of security. I strongly felt that they only kept me around because I was delivering high quality work. I was very professional and always followed the worker's guide lines. I would never refer anyone to work there.
The best all you can eat restaurant I have ever been to. The food tastes great, fresh and is of good quality. Thank you Nimpha for always checking on us, great service! And also everyone are following Covid protocols, very impressive!
Blaze Lounge was awesome. Great atmosphere, delicious food, the server Brooklyn was friendly, and provided outstanding customer service. I highly suggest this Lounge to guests and visitors to the Grey Eagle.
Nicely done with the covid 19 restrictions. Lots of sanitizer, wipes to clean your machine if in doubt and plexi glass between every machine. They also took your temperature going in and had masks mandatory
It was very good.but I am very disappointed that the security at grey eagle do not call out people who park in special needs parking spaces.therefore the people that really need parking spaces have to walk a long distance instead.i have left because of this.
The indigenous art in the room and throughout the resort is a real winner for me. Make sure you request a room with a mountain view if you want to wake up to something breaktaking. The breakfast buffet in the morning is the best free breakfast you will come across at a hotel. It includes every breakfast item you can think of and a few touches of Tsuut’ina First Nation traditional foods like bannock and wild currant preserves. Also, I am not really a buffet person but a friend invited me to the casino buffet one night and it was impressive. They have different themes throughout the week. Worth it every once in a while!
All the shows I have seen here have been awesome. Dont waste your money on floor seating as the back tiered seating offer you a better view and the venue is nice and quaint that there is not a bad seat in the house.
Grey Eagle Resort & Casino has become our go-to place to stay when in Calgary. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. The included breakfast buffet is always delicious. Room service has proven to be it's equal. You will not regret staying here!
Please like if you agree With 4 locations on property to eat, a pool, outdoor hot tub, casino, this is your all in one spot to stop if your just wanting to have a casual couple days. Room was clean and large, good sized bathroom.my issues i had was with the shower itself. It didn't seem to get to tempature or have alot of pressure. (let front desk know) Friendly staff and great service from everyone on the property. Hope if you stop by you have a good visit like i did.
Great resort for a night away from home. We were generously upgraded to a larger suite today. This is our 3rd visit and plan to come back many more times! Great accessibility to westhills and easy driving access to downtown. Front staff are always very pleasant!
On the hotel the rooms were large, and the staff was friendly. There was a fridge included in the room. The casino is smoking friendly. I also attended an event at the event center. It is a nice large room with a stage. The staff in the event center weren't near as friendly as the staff in the hotel. I will not go into details though.
Located on the southwest side of Calgary, the Grey Eagle Resort/Casino puts on various music and comedy shows. Food is 4/5, great choices, good quality. Some of the dishes could be a little better prepared. Rooms are big, airy and modern. If not a little cold and impersonal. Casino is ok, but I don't gamble often so my opinion is mostly useless. The concert venue seating and such is weird. Acoustics we're ok. Chairs are too close together and it's just odd for a band such as tenacious d. Overall I liked it and would return.
The Grey Eagle has consistently provided good food and good slots over the years. The place is always clean, the staff friendly, and has lots of open machines. I'll continue to go to the Grey Eagle and recommend it.
Lovely place for fun. I love the buffet is the best of Canada. The poker room is friendly and very comfortable. The staff are very helpful and respected as well too.
The hotel is really lovely, modern well equipped rooms and a really great restaurant. I'll definitely head there again to take advantage of the mountain bike rentals.
We went to the Grey Eagle Resort and Casino to see Honeymoon Suite for the second time in 365 days, and they did not disappoint. The show was awesome. The sound was great and the venue was very good, very professionally operated. We always watch for shows and events at the Grey Eagle, we will be back soon.
Nice hotel with a great event centre and casino. Quality entertainment is booked here regularly. The property gets better every year as they reinvest and build a great holiday destination next to Mount Royal University. Looking forward to parking improvements and more trees to protect from the winds.
I put 4 stars because of the food was great! However, on the way in, in the line up, there was a senior lady wasn't feeling well. She looked blanked and apparently was something going on her health which wasn't really good upon reaching the counter. Thank you for the help of people on the line up made her not to fall. I asked if theres medic or first aider to check the customer who was feeling not well, the blonde short hair woman said "No". My suggestion is that grey eagle should have medic staff who are equipped to take care on what to do to customers who are feeling not well while on the line up waiting for their table on a New Years Eve or on the floor anytime. I felt bad to the couple who never had a good meal & new years (2019) celebration. Hope Grey Eagle will do something about first aid. Happy New Year!
Amazing place. Great rooms great food gambling and events. Very pleasant staff, clean and well run. Love going to concerts here and you cant beat the convenience of the hotel right there I'd you are from out of town. Highly recommend this place!
One of my favorite places to stay when in Calgary. Really nice rooms with large TVs. Comfortable beds and the breakfast is amazing. Awesome room service
My daughter and I had a wonderful stay. The staff from the moment we walked in till check out are smiling, friendly, and accommodating. The food was way way above average. The room was comfortable and very clean. They are pet friendly. Just a great place to stay.
Yeah me and my budd we had a good time never stayed longer than a cpl hrs, but it was fun had a couple drinks & had a bit of luck @ the blackjack tables so that was cool.
Nicole from little chiefs was amazing with her service. She looked after my girlfriend with her celiac disease food allergy. Also the rest of the staff are awesome. 6 STARS!
