Terrible place to go if you have emergency. All triage staff were ignoring patients who were in need of immediate medical attention. It was first come first serve basis (no preference to older and kids) so if you have emergency and would like to get immediate medical attention, forget it, wait for your turn. They will leave you to died because their are other people in queue. I took my infant to emergency, waited 6 hours. We asked triage nurse about waiting she was super rude as if she own that place. I really pray I never have to visit this horrible place again in my life. This people does not have empathy for patients we are just daily routine for them.
12 September again i am come but the Canada hospital system very slow.im set 5.my little son age 12 he have stomach pain but just waiting hour in Emergency and waiting This is my 4 time in this Emergency The Emergency service very slow
Although the wait time was more than expected but Dr. Shoblak handled my case pretty smoothly and with utmost preference and care. I have met with such a soft spoken dedicated and respectful doctor after a long time. Thank you doctor.
Today I was in emergency for almost 5 hours. I came in with an array of symptoms… hives coving my whole body, diarrhea, nausea, and no voice!
I waited almost 2 hours when they took me back for a Chest X-ray which was certainly warranted. I then was put in a small room with another patient where I waited for what seemed like an eternity for the doc to come in with the typical speech. “It’s VIRAL laryngitis with unrelated hives that are unexplainable. ” Ummmm THANKS
I am also a health care professional so the fact that nobody looked in my mouth, throat, felt my neck etc.was mind blowing.
Went to emergency departments 2 times, first for severe stomach pain and second time today for rib pain, my rib is totally swollen and worst pain that was unwearable, what these people working in emergency departments let me wait for 7/8 hours even at 3 am. They have time for personal gossip but not for patients.
I was at grey nuns coz I brought my husband to ER. I have to parked at the front coz it’s cheaper to park there since we’ve been waiting for over 2hrs already. I went to the Information desk to ask where is the best way to get back to ER and the lady at the front (black long hair with eyeglasses) was not friendly at all and seems to be annoyed to be interrupted. No smile and just b**** face as she pointed me to the direction where to go. She shouldn’t be at the front/ help desk with this attitude!
First of all, we were waiting in a line for 30-45 min, my friend has asthma and could barely breathe. When we finally talked to someone, we were told, it would be an hour or less before we would see someone. We’ve now been waiting for 2 hours, my friend still, struggling to breathe. This place is ridiculous. No one should be waiting this long to seek medical attention. It seems like the workers here don’t care at all. I understand they have a lot going on, but it’s ridiculous how slow this process is. My friend can barely breathe but yeah let’s just chitchat with everyone that comes in and out
Monday January 9/23 I was @ Emergency for a Total of 6 hrs I give 9/10 for the nurse (Veera) emergency doctor Sukanam Triage nurse, lab technician and all the staff I met were kind, friendly and helpful. I m most grateful for the excellent professional care I received Thanking U all most profusely WARM WISHES
The Canada hospital system very slow.im set 3 hour in Emergency and waiting When I am come my BP very high.but I am wait for my number this 3rd time I am come hospital for bp problem. The hospital staff check my BP and blood test ECG but they not understand why my BP high Very slow staff The Emergency service very slow
Wow this is where all our health care money is going. Two people at the front door handing out masks. Waited over 5 hours to see doctor and then had to wait even longer for tests. Wife is diabetic and sick for a day and nobody checked her sugar level. It’s the Wild West here. They need to focus on one patient at a time and not how many people they can pack in the hospital. We are in trouble, our health care system is crashing and burning and nobody in charge to see it happen. Politicians should be a shamed of themselves.
I went in with what might have been an emergency surgery thing. Don't know how long I waited but it wasn't that long, maybe a couple hours. Had the CT, ruled out the worst, given a prescription and went home. All given with a smile and reassurance.
I came to this hospital two time in case of emergency. I had to wait for more than 3 hours in a line just for registration, once it done then again i had to wait for almost 3hours & 40 minutes. Terrible service of their especially in emergency. They need to have system by which they can provide better & quick service to serious patients. Nurses over there don’t care what the matter with the patient just have to wait for long and long hours. Really upset from their service.
Visited yesterday and had to wait a long time but the triage nurse was super nice and kind and Dr. Shoblak was beyond kind and caring.
I came in after couple days of foot surgery, worried about the colour of my skin and moisture and Dr. Shoblak responded all my questions, changed my tensors and showed me how to do it myself, explained me everything I needed to know and made sure I left feeling better.
Kudos to the hospital staff, that being overflowed with patients, still provide a good care. Thanks so much, your efforts are very well appreciated
Horrible place to be if you have an emergency. I have never seen anything like that anywhere I have ever travelled to. Socialist type of medical services. No priority for kids or seniors. All ppl struggle and the line up is so large that it takes hours to get in. That’s not an emergency. Take care of your self so you can avoid this place by all means.
I don't even want to give them one star, the worst ER. Do not trust the AHS wait time estimate.wait time was 1: 40 but i was waiting for more than 4 hours.
My 1 year son got sick badly and he was suffering. His doctor told me to go to emergency right away but i was shocked when i got here and told me to wait for 6 hours however they saw my son crying and cant breathe
I have had a lot of support and help from the staff here for mental health problems, and I highly recommend going here if you are feeling suicidal and need help
If you live too far away from here, the Misercordia emergency room was equal in help, support, kindness, and bed side manner.
With my 22-month-old daughter, I went to the Grey Nuns emergency room. Her ear ache was causing her to cry. Everything is alright, according to the doctor, and you are free to go. She was irritated and had not slept properly. Her ear was dripping with blood. She was diagnosed at the Strollery Hospital. Grey Nuns Emergency Hospital is never recommended for children.
If you have an emergency, do NOT go here unless it's the last possible option, you'll probably die in the waiting room after some nurse tells you to stop.not recommended.
This 5 star is specially dedicated to Nurses in early pregnancy loss program. My heartfelt thanks to your team in grey nuns hospital. I was supported emotionally, guided throughout those tough situations. Without all your guidance, I don't think I would be able to get over my grief, and take all that happened positively. I was often checked, educated on what I should expect and how to overcome the loss. All my concerns were answered patiently, I was also given an opportunity to vent out my self. I felt so safe and grateful qhile I was under your care and supervision. Thank you very much. You people are the angels on the earth. My prayers for all of you. Thank you very much again. God bless you all.
Not covid friendly. I wonder who is in charge of making sure that the emergency department is a finely tuned. I got triaged in order to get triaged. Like wow. People standing everywhere. People sitting next to each other.
Witnessed several issues. Left after an hour and went to another hospital where I was treated promptly. (I required stitches).
Had 1 month old baby in emergency. Baby kept on crying for 4 hours but no one came to help other than just me waiting there trying to calm my baby and panicking. Worst service. People who came after me were called in before me. This is how they value a new mother who was alone with a month old baby there. Would not even give 1 star.
I was driven to emergency by friends when I was 16 and you denied me medical care. I had obvious head trauma (bleeding from my nose and head), obviously intoxicated and you sent me home to sleep it off. I had headaches for a week, my coordination was compromised and I couldn't sleep. How is this possible?
I've been there in emenrgency on 17 June 2020 at 0900 with worse pain. Front desk staff at entrance is really unprofessional and rude. When I voiced I'm in real pain she responded very rude and stated " that's why you are here" and teasing with male costaff and stated" trying to be smarter " " > I don't know how they can behave like criminals. Very unperofessionals.
