Steve was very knowledgeable and helped us out when my wife and I bought a guitar and amp for our son. We will be back.

Pre-ordered a guitar - it came in - then they proceeded to sell the guitar i ordered, and offered little resolution except to order me a new one.now i have to wait two more months.thanks.

Absolutely NO customer service; they have ghosted every email exchange started and never responded to the better business complaint I filed. Complete trash, unacceptable.

These guys do top notch work with respect to guitar repairs. The dryness in Alberta is well known, and when winter rolls around and the furnaces start running it can be very hard on instruments. Brad did a great job on two of my guitars!

I am very satisfied and happy. They helped me find a tremolo bar for my Strat, got it, went home, perfect fit! I appreciate the accommodation and assistance I received. Honestly, I wished I could stay longer to check out some guitars, since of all the store, this branch has the most number of products on display. I can't wait to go back and visit this store again.

Great musical instrument store to check out! They have quite the selection of instruments and accessories to browse and pick from.

The customer service we had when I went to buy guitar strings wasn't great, though. It felt like I was bugging the employee, for just asking a couple of questions before buying a few items.

Otherwise, a good overall experience.

Bought my very first bass guitar here last week. Steve was very patient and helped find the best fit for me. Will definitely be back here for any of my musical needs!

Insane selection and a fantastic staff that makes you feel comfortable just looking around.

Brad and "other guy" lol! This PRS makes me feel like a kid again! You guys both are awesome and thanks for the help everything we did and tried at the store!

P. S. If you're a guitar player with long finger-picking nails, take it easy on the store's guitars and their finishes!:)

Just had a great experience with getting a guitar serviced. Works great and sorted out all those Floyd Rose mysteries…

I have purchased many guitars over the years from Guitarworks and have always had decent service. In recent months I will say that the customer service has really tanked. I went in to buy a new amp and was undecided with what I wanted. I was hoping that I could rely on the experience of the staff along with my own prior research to make a decision. I felt like the employee that was helping me was doing me a favour to set up an amp to play. When I asked for his thoughts on different brands he was short and provided no opinions. “I can’t explain it, you just have to hear it”. I get that amps are different but seriously you should be able to speak in broad terms about the differences of the brands you sell. Artist that use them, types of music that sound best thought each. All this to say that I went to L&M and purchased something there from someone who had the patience to answer my dumb questions. I really want to support this local store like I have in the past, but staff changes need to be made there before I return.

Good gear. They carry stuff L&M doesn’t but holy the staff there is miserable. Passing thru Calgary, need a new amp, thought I’d check some out and maybe buy because it’s cheaper tax than BC but just awful customer service / experience. I’ll take my money elsewhere.

The reason why I rate two stars is because the white tall guy with a mustache at the cashier who was supposed to accomodate me walk away and ask his buddy to serve me. I can read his gestures and body language since I walk in that he was a racist. Can you imagine I was about to pay and no other customers inside because they are closing but then he just ignored me and I could say that he’s rude! I almost not buying the capo because of his racism. Terrible experience. I’m not buying here again.

Bought a PRS acoustic at an awesome price during Boxing Week sale. Guitarworks shipped it free to Ontario quickly & efficiently. Arrived in great shape, just tuned it up and good to go! Highly recommend Guitarworks! Thanks guys!

First, of all had concerns about the online ordering process and the fees charged that were displayed on the bill. The online sales person tried to change the terms of the transaction 1 year after getting a deposit for a Martin D18L. There was no headway with the online sales person and I escalated to the owner.

The owner and I did speak today and we were able to rectify the situation. He was able to honor the original deal that was made and expect to get the guitar in 1st quarter of 2023.

I'd like to thank the owner for reaching out and having a pleasant, frank decision about the matter.

When I get the guitar, I hope to make this review with more stars. Thanks for working with a customer to have his dream guitar.

Edit: Finally was able to get the D18. The owner of Guitarworks definitely smoothed the process over and made a potentially terrible experience into a much better one. Thanks again for the owner for stepping up and ensuring that Guitarworks maintained a fair business practice.

Went there for the first time today with my 13 yr old daughter. She was in guitar heaven! The guy let her try out any guitar she wanted and didn't question whether she could play or not. (And she rocks) They were so patient and helpful. We bought her her very first guitar of her own and I will be taking her there every time we go to calgary! Thanks for the amazing experience guys
