Very helpful staff. Had a interesting conversation with one of the customers aswell. Full of information. In addition I requested the items I purchased to be shipped to Merritt BC and it was completed without any problems.

Rude and arrogant guy there working or owns the store no idea but all I wanted is a small guitar for my 6 yr old daughter and she really wanted a guitar and he treated us like we don't belong in the store. I literally apologized first before asking for help that I don't know to play any instrument but my daughter wants to learn and hence we need to buy one. He said there is no guitar for little girls and their fingers are too delicate. That was probably the first and last time in my life that I allowed anyone disrespect my daughter like that. I was patient cause this insult was new to my daughter and I did not want to comment or make a scene as it was a gift for her and I did not want to spoil her mood. It's his good luck that she did not understand his arrogant and ignorant remarks. This rude treatment was to my daughter. That makes it personal!

Store is messy and we walked around for a long time with no help. Good selection of guitars but you'll have to hunt for help

The Shopping and purchasing experience here were excellent, Tim who is also the onsite guitar Technician was able to guide me through the selection process of a new Instrument. Answering every one of my beginner questions with experience and professionalism. I certainly will be returning for future purchases.

Instruments are horribly set up every time I go in to look around. Tried to buy some bass strings today and there was no one working the till. Waited over 5 min before I left. Could here them all telling tall stories to each other in the back ignoring all the customers trying to buy stuff at the till.

I believe their friendly as I’ve been in this store before but today me and my boyfriend went in and none of the staff were wearing masks? Just felt awkward and uncomfortable tbh

Garnet was a big help in helping my daughter pick out her first electric guitar. He tuned up a couple for her to try out, answered our questions and she left in an ecstatic mood. Thanks so much.

Thanks to Tom, Tim and Dave (online sales) for their patience with me when selecting my "forever" acoustic guitar. They have an excellent return policy and I wasn't in love with my first two choices. 3rd time's a charm though! Allan at the MacLeod location was also awesome as well.

Came in just trying to compare some guitars I had seen else where. Jason and Tim I believe were the two fellas in there and they made it very hard to leave that place without buying anything. Best service I've received in a guitar store in town.

They honestly went the extra mile when they didn't have to and I am probably exclusively going back here to have anything guitar related in the future. Well worth the gas money to get out there haha

Excellent service and very reasonable! I found a diamond-in-the-rough neglected 12-string and brought it here for a recovery. The tech poured lots of love into this guitar, and it rings better than new - shows a true passion for guitars and guitarists.

My wife and I were at the Cross Iron Guitarworks location this evening.
We were there looking for accessories for our daughter's new electric guitar, and to look at new acoustic guitars (for myself).
We don't know anything about any of this stuff and (as of tonight) are just starting to learn how to play! Paul helped us out. He was amazing! We learned so much about various products, materials, things to consider as newbies, etc.from Paul.
We walked away feeling like we had the best customer service experience we've had in ages (perhaps ever)! Paul's passion for guitars, customer service and educating people is inspiring. Kudos to Paul. We thank him for everything!

Beautiful selection in guitars. Hard to get Fender strats at the moment.thats ok. Booths to try out the instruments and a couple of cool guys to help you out. Sorry no photos.go look for yourself!

Good selection. Convenient location. Guitar viewing room is cool so you can listen to multiple people attempting to play over each other in an impromptu guitar battle royale.it's like watching Ralph Macchio play against Lucifers guitar champ in Crossroads. Except that Steve Vai isnt there, or Ralph, and nobodys as good.ok its not like that at all.

These people know their stuff. Tim is not about trying to sell, sell sell! He want to make sure that you get the stuff that is right for you, regardless if he makes money or not. Something that is very rare these days. I would definitely recommend these guys. I know that this will be my go to store going forward!

Big thank you to Mark and Tom at Guitarworks for setting me up with a Gretsch Streamliner. Came out of the box perfect and with a neck straight as an arrow. I haven't put it down since I got it. Since my first Squier Strat Pack in 2002, myself and my family have always received stellar service from all the Guitarworks staff.

It's fine. Typical selection of Gibson's and fenders. It would be cooler if there were some more interesting things in there.

So, I took my 4 guitars in to be serviced. What can I say? Beautiful job, fair price and done in a timely fashion. Not only that, but very knowledgeable and Tim, the gentleman who did the work, was great in passing that knowledge on in a respectful manner. 5 stars and will only have my babies looked at by them. Thanks so much, mate!

Fantastic place to go! My wife wanted to start playing the guitar so we went and checked this place out and wow! At both locations I was extremely impressed with the experience and overall friendliness the staff has shown during each of our visits here. The staff were very knowledgable and honest, they didn't try selling us stuff we didn't need and was willing to answer some of the most obvious questions. I walked in there knowing nothing but the staff just makes you feel at home and comfortable. I highly recommend this place to the people that are not experienced, to the people nervous to start something new as this place will leave you feeling excited and ready to learn.

Is there a 5+ star option? I had the BEST customer experience! I called the CrossIron Mills Guitarworks location inquiring about a guitar I didn't know the name of or anything about. Tim answers the phone and I tell him I want to buy my husband the guitar Art Alexikis plays in the Santa Monica video. Tim tries googling it and nothing is coming up, so he watches the video and gets in touch with the Gretsch supplier and cracks the case! Calls me back with all the info I need, from the guitar model and pricing to lead time on ordering in time for Christmas. They only had one available so he put the order through and told me there was no pressure, but I was like "LET'S LOCK THIS BABY DOWN! " and paid on the spot. It took about 6 weeks for this beautiful Gretsch G6129T Players Edition Silver Jet with Bigsby to arrive and Tim spent a bunch of time getting this ready to be played right out of the case for my husband. He went so above and beyond with his efforts. We will be purchasing all our musical instrument related needs from them from here on out. Thank you Tim and Guitarworks for the best Christmas surprise, ever!

Popped in to check out a Dean guitar post boxing Day. Staff was very friendly, wearing protective masks and requested patrons to sanitize hands before touching anything. Let me test out a guitar, tuned it up for me. They also tried to get me the best deal available in their system. Will go again.

Staff tried to be helpful, no music books, stuff seemed alot more expensive than pre covid. All in all we did make a purchase, but not everything we were looking for.

I came into Guitarworks looking for some guidance on buying myself a new guitar and what direction I needed to take to learn more about this instrument. I spoke with Vincent who was incredibly helpful and honest in helping me find the appropriate guitar and resources for me. Thank you for the incredible customer service experience! I was looking for a particular guitar but Grande Prairie didn't have it at Long and McQuade or at Music Center Canada. So I checked online and come across Guitarworks on Reverb so I thought I'd check out their online store and they had exactly what I was looking for there. I ordered from them and everything come as expected and in a timely manner. They saved me a 3 week wait at Long and McQuade in G. P for the same guitar. I definitely will do business with them again.

They have a good variety of guitars including acoustics, classical, ukuleles, mandolins, etc. The staff is friendly and they're not in your face when you walk into the shop.

I have bought many guitars and accessories from here. Most of the staff is awesome. I'm not a fan of the guy in charge. His attitude sucks and he damaged my mint guitar while looking at it when I was going to trade it in then denying it.

Had great service from Zach, bought a new Fender PA and set-up. Knowledgeable staff and he brought it out and loaded it into my car. I live out of town so running into Calgary can be a pain, I'll make the trip to deal with them again.

We were looking at guitars for our 7year old to start playing.
Great attention from the staff, our questions were understood and answered clearly. Relevant suggestions, without trying to sell us the most expensive guitar in the place. We will be going back to pick up the guitar from this location!

Staff was very knowledgeable. Bought a hard shell case for my Ovation Applause. Got a smokin' deal on it from the manager. Visited Calgary again 2 yrs ago and made a point to revisited Guitarworks. This time I bought a Fender accoustic/electric guitar and a Trik guitar case for it. Not sure what I'll get the next time but I sure won't be walking away empty handed. Thanks guys.

Bought a PRS acoustic from them last year in April. Had a guitar tech that didn't know enough about two-way truss rods tell me that my guitar was broken (thought it was stripped), and I immediately e-mailed Guitar Works. I took it in to them, and even though they were skeptical about how it could have happened, they were immediately on my side when it came to getting it dealt with. They contacted PRS for me, and in the end, it turned out that the guitar was 100% fine and my guitar tech apparently just didn't know about a neutral zone in the truss rod between relief and pull. Ted Koti was willing to try to get my entire guitar replaced if it was messed up, and they were diligent about getting the situation dealt with in a way that made sure I left happy. (I'm very happy that my guitar turned out to be ok). This location is a bit out of the way for me, but its easily my go to shop now for anything guitar related. Thank you to Ted and Steve for being such helpful people and for making each experience at Guitarworks a positive one!

Amazing staff, anything music related you can find here. When shopping for a guitar, look for a sales person with passion. They will find the right guitar for you. If you want cheap go to a pond shop

I walked into the store and looked at basically every guitar in the store. 3 staff members working and for the 15 mins i was there, NO ONE asked if I needed help. I walked out.

This place is amazing! I bought my first guitar from them a couple years ago and always stop in when I in the area. They are incredibly helpful and an all around fantastic staff. Make a newbie like me feel welcomed and supported!

They wouldn't dare greet you as you walk into the store to shop or offer help as you slowly walk through and look at their products. I was hoping to look at electric drums but none were setup. If the issue is people playing them and not purchasing I get it, but you can fix that by only providing the sticks when asked for them. Given the same lackluster customer service I have always received here, no one would be playing the drums.

Although I'm sure the staff are good and very knowledgeable they come across very arrogant and rude.

Great selection of guitars at every price range, as a southpaw player I was very impressed with their selection of left handed guitars, I would guess they have a 8: 1 ratio in this regard which is the highest I have ever seen under one roof in a retail store.

The staff are super friendly and helped a ton! Unfortunately the store didnt have everything I was looking for but the staff offered suggestions for what to get instead.

Went in for info on acoustic guitar. The guy was super helpful and enthusiastic that I was considering learning. I even told him I was not buying today.

I came into the store ready to purchase a specific guitar. I knew what I was looking for aside from colour. While talking to the sales guy, he made a low brow comment something like "girls are always concerned about the colour". Later in my trip while asking a question about a case, he made another tasteless comment. This guy has a thing or two to learn about communicating respectfully with females.

I did not purchase a guitar. I would go anywhere else. Two stars only because he was physically present, however, even that was irritating.

The people that work here only wants to sell things, and if you have questions they do not know anything or bother answering. Terrible service here.

Good selection of guitars, a little inattentive - the clerks seemed more interested in talking to each other than in talking to customers. Maybe it's a mall thing.
