DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS GYM! They will randomly stop pulling payments from your bank account and put you into collections 4 days after making only ONE phone call to you. They will refuse to return any contact attempts to resolve the situation properly and fairly. Unless you want a company to try to destroy your credit, stay far away from this place. I have been told to call payments, they refuse to answer the phone or return any calls. Management in the gym refuses to return any calls as well, as I've asked for more than one call back. This is absolutely disgusting how you run a business.

I was planning on getting a membership at this gym, I asked to try the gym for the day as any gym would do that before buying my membership, the chubby pink hair chick said I either have to buy a membership or pay 15$ for a drop in which did not make any sense and seemed like she was desperate for members, plus she wasn’t friendly at all and rude

I have been going to this gym for close to eight years and it has always been an enjoyable experience. The staff are friendly and helpful; stay long enough and they greet you by name! As for they facilities, they are impeccably clean and spacious. It's never too crowded, at the times I go. I strongly recommend giving them a try.

Ellie is such a booster, positive and patient coach. She uses a very smart tactic to improve the body strength in the way that you can’t even feel it. Ellie did motivate me and supported me to keep in touch with my workout and improving my body strength, especially with using the “TrueCoach” app. I really recommend her!

This place is amazing! I went for a single drop in with my roommate and decided I had to get a membership. Jesse helped me both times I’ve been in so far. The first time offering some words of encouragement and praise for making the effort to better my body, the second time helping me sign up for my membership and making sure I knew exactly what the trainers were going to walk through with me. Incredibly welcoming staff, and the anxiety of working out lifts the second you walk through the doors. 5 stars, and would give more of possible.

It took me a while to find a suitable gym for my weight loss journey. I’ve been to several different ones but ended up canceling cuz I wasn’t satisfied. But this location has everything I needed, friendly staff and personal trainer, very beautiful and clean. The group classes are so diversified and all the profs are females! It’s been so helpful to train with other ladies and encourage each other. The female only side is very fancy; I love the sauna. The showers are very well equipped and there re hair drier / curler to use! I would deffo recommend!

Won’t give any star if I can. I won’t come back to this gym ever again. They will still continue charging you even you are not a member anymore you’re not exempted for annual fee charge too and btw please be 100% sure if you want to get a membership as you won’t be able to cancel it whenever you want or you can but you will have to pay for the whole year before they let you go (they won’t make it easy for you to leave tho) lol

Initially I was skeptical pursuing a personal trainer. But after my first initial complimentary training with PJ, I realized it’s a life changing personal development and investment when you’re coached by an effectual trainer, and that’s what PJ is all about. Since June 2022, I have lost weight and gained muscle. With his knowledge for health, intuitive/calm nature, relatability, and uplifting support, you will have a positive experience while obtaining your fitness goals. Today, I am still training with PJ and I most definitely will continue my fitness journey with him. Glad to have you by my side PJ.

Also shout out to the staff for being so welcoming and to the caretakers for keeping the environment presentable and clean.

It took me 5 years to find the best gym for me. Absolutely love this gym everyone’s friendly. I’ve been working out with Ellie for couple months now and wow wow. I’m amazed at the progress I have made. She specifically designed workout programs for me and gives me tips on reaching my goals. She is amazing. Highly recommend.

Been coming here for years! Love the environment, people (especially Kim, Mel, and Katherine?), and the amenities! Love there is a women’s only side, and co-ed as well.

I was a complete newbie to the gym just a month ago, and it was through a friend's recommendation that I joined, and I’m so glad I did. The space is clean and organized, and the staff, especially Julian, are super helpful and welcoming. Julian was the one who helped me get set up, introduced me to the equipment, and made me feel welcomed in the gym. I've only had great experiences at this gym and its all thanks to the staff!

Hands down best gym to train at! Special shout out to Kim and Aiden at the front desk for being so welcoming and always greets you with a smile. They definitely made my experience so much better! I highly recommend checking this gym out.

It’s very spacious location and friendly staff however I don’t think it’s being well-maintained when it comes to cleanliness. Women’s washroom is not so clean. The floor is usually messy. Locker room smell bad. Water fountains seem to not operate right when you try to drink.

I’m fairly new to this gym. I love the physical environment and the equipment and so far, have had mostly a good experience.

There is something I would like to alert potential new members to, and that’s how the Consultants and the Receptionists will attempt to hold your government ID as ‘hostage’ until you comply with what they request. This has happened to both me and my partner.

On my day of signing up with the gym, the Consultant was not available for our scheduled appointment. I asked if I could start my workout and meet with her afterwards (as I had limited time due to the 1.5 hr time slot you get with the daycare). The receptionist stated this is fine snd asked to see my ID. I provided it, however, she then didn’t return it. I asked for it back and she said she “needed to hold it hostage… in case i don’t meet with the gym consultant after the workout. ” I stated I would not be letting her hold onto my drivers licence and this is not a legal practice.

This happened again today to my partner who was coming in to access his 2 week guest pass. Same thing as before, they requested his drivers licence as collateral in case he didn’t attend the Consultant meeting planned the next day. I asked the consultant if it would be better if we just leave, however, she then offered to meet with us quickly to set up the 2 week guest pass.

Both the Consultant and Receptionist both stated this was the gym’s “policy. ” The consultant further shared that no one else seems to have an issue with this policy aside from us.

The practice of holding onto government identification as ‘collateral’ or ‘hostage’ is not a legal practice in Canada. What would happen if the person decided not to comply with your requests… then what? Refuse to give the person back their government ID? That would certainly become a Police matter and I don’t know why this gym hasn’t consulted their legal team regarding this.

I get that this gym feel like they’ve lost because someone has worked out for free (and perhaps this is what brought about this “policy” to begin with), but it’s not a sign of good faith with potential new clients to show such little trust in their word.

My partner won’t be coming back to the gym to sign up — he said the whole situation made him really uncomfortable and anxious.

Great Gym, staff are kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend this facility if you want to improve your life!
It's extremely clean, they sanitize everything! Cleaners are on point! Very safe place to be active during covid

Great gym, especially for the area. The staff make this place. If you are looking for a gym that's open 24 7, you may need to look else where, but I doubt you will find a cleaner facility. The janitors are on point. Read alot of the one star reviews they mostly have to do with contract issues, people not asking what they are signing up for, or eager to get into the gym and don't pay attention to the fact they offer contracts for sessions with trainers. The front staff are USUALLY very friendly!

The best thing about this gym is, the staff. From the receptionist, to the trainers and janitors!

I train with Densa Chan personally, and he is extremely Knowledgeable! And will stay on top of you! With his training programs, and nutrional coaching. I have gotten in the best shape of my life, you obviously gotta put the effort in yourself, but the results from sticking to his programs are evident. He has helped me set new personal best lifts. I will train with Densa for the rest of my life, his rehabilitation training has helped me recover from injuries new and old. You have to communicate with your trainer though.

Steve Chamber is also very knowledgeable, skilled personal trainer, I have trained with him here and there over the years.

Be sure to read all the fine print on membership dues, so you don't get any unexpected payments. Like All big gyms, the have monthly dues/fees, make sure you READ what you signing up for.

They are horrible people. These people are hugely unethical and burglars. They posted arrear abnoxious charges on my closed account and the manager was a liar. I humbly request everyone not to encourage this business as they have aweful policies

This gym is outstanding. It is one of the cleanest gyms I’ve ever been to and staff are very helpful when needed. I always get a great workout when I’m at this location.

If I could give even 0 star I would to b honest they just want the money and don't care about the cancellation y call and email to cancel the membership and they say that I have a a 52 by weekly payments contact and is already done but they still charging me am in my 56 or 57 by weekly payments and they still taking the money even though I have say to cancel it.

Steve chambers is a great coach, can help you hit any goals or fix any issues you need fixed. Highly recommend coming in to try the gym out since they have completely renovated and brought in more equipment.

I train with Steve Chambers! He’s so easy to get along with, he’s so funny, and he’s the best trainer I have ever trained with and I have gone through MANY! The staff there are all so sweet and so kind, they always make me feel so welcomed in the club! I feel super safe when working out as their cleaning is always A+! I love this club, my favourite one in the city!:)

I moved from GoodLife to GYMVMT after the lockdowns and bookings started to happen. I can go whenever I want, there's never a waiting list & the girls section is BY FAR, the best I've been to. Incredible gym.

I'm NOT a fan of the restrictions put on the fitness centers in Alberta. I think its invasive and uncomfortable having someone forced to stand 6ft.away from me, watching me while I work out, and pretending like it's safer than if I worked out alone. That being said, GYMVMT has been INCREDIBLE. Everyones frustrated and it's comforting knowing that the staff are there for you, not just as staff. I've met some incredible people in the short time I've come here and I highly recommend!

I'd rate them at zero stars if I could, they have been charging me during covid and when they have closed down. I would never recommend them.

At first they never tell you abouy what the procedure of cancellation. I did sent them email month ago for cancellation and after a month they didn't cancel and again taking money from my account. They never give a proper imformation.

I have been a member since it was World Health. The set up is great and the ladies' area is closed off nicely and there is lots of equipment to use.

Excellent facility. Steve C. Trained me for a couple of weeks, when only one-on-one training was allowed. He's very knowledgeable! He's also quite focused when he trains you! He helped me with my shoulder issues too! 10/10!

My score is 700/800 and I have also completed my REPS INDIA certification, They told me that now i am internationally certified and now i can work in different countries. They kept charging me when the gym was closed because of covid, and they said they'd be giving friends and family passes and gym bags and never did. This is the most garbage over priced gym ever.

May get up to 5 star, depending on opening after covid. Maybe the owner should do a bit more then just replying to reviews and actually pay branch's a visit. I will be maybe cancelling my membership depending on the next year. The staff care, but the owner very clearly does not.

It was a great gym at sunridge, it has been a turbulent couple years, but now that the Reno's are finishing, and with restrictions lifting this gym should really come together now. We shall see.

Be sure to read all the fine print on membership dues, so you don't get any unexpected payments. Like All big gyms, the have monthly dues/fees, make sure you READ what you signing up for, whether it's basic access, multi club or training with a Personal Trainer, be sure to ask questions when signing up. To avoid any confusion down the road.

I am not a fan that the men have no access to the studio or basketball court they used to have at Sundridge location.

The changes made to this gym are really amazing. Its so much more modern and vibrant looking. This gym went through a huge change and I watched it go through the whole thing. Such a change can't be easy on everyone who works there but they are always smiling and quick to greet me when I come in. They seem to have done the best they can to adapt as well. I was lucky enough to train with Densa before covid hit and he was great. Ramona helped me with all my questions regarding trainers and options for me at the gym and later helped me revise some of my payments due to covid. She was quick with responses and knew what she was doing.
Construction has been a bit lengthy but thats no fault of the gym and in my opinion it is all worth it. I love all the areas now and the staff make it feel like a fun safe place.

They are so unprofessional and don’t train their employees properly. I canceled my membership and have the contract to prove it but since the employee didn’t do it properly I have to come again. They are just wasting my time and money at this point. Honestly GoodLife fitness and gold are better if you can go there then please sign up with them.

Nice open, clean and bright gym. I’ve been to many gyms, and I would workout in this facility week-in and week-out.

Loved it when it was Spalady. It was great, all the personal trainer classes, zumba and yoga. I loved exercising then. Left this place after it changed to Gymvmt.

They continually call me after me telling them politely im not interested. Why are they even calling when fitness centers are currently closed due to these unprecedented times? Besides, I wouldn't want to join a health club after the story I read of how this company treated their members after the gym shut down in regards to continuously taking payments during this unprecedented time. Bottom line, when someone tells you to stop calling, stop!

UPDATE: 6 weeks and still no refund. Please do not signed with this franchise, you will regret it.

My husband and I signed a 1 year contract at the Trans Canada location with Ramona on SUNDAY, March 15,2020.
The next day, Monday, March 16,2020, the gym was closed because of COVID-19 (totally understandable).

The problem began on April 13,2020, when the GYM TRAN CANADA started charging me for their monthly fees (remember 2 accounts, 2 transactions). They debited my account 12 times and only 3 were refunded back to me.

I requested to have both accounts cancel on JUNE 16,2020; manager VANESSA call me to inform that IF I want to cancel both contracts they will charge me penalties.

They won’t return your call or email, NO MONEY BACK and this situation has left a really bad taste in my mouth about their service as a business.

Stay away from this location.

Ramona at the front desk was super helpful. She helped me with weigh in and body composition; she took the extra step to explain what each part of the body comp meant. Also gave me a lot of good tips on how I could reach my fitness goals. It was exactly what I needed. Thank you.

This is horrible place to go. Don't even sign up there. They will explain different policies and charge you even after you cancel membership and reception staff have zero knowledge. I was member for year. In January I canceled membership but they still charge me 97 dollars bi weekly. I am not supposed to pay a dollar, no one answer properly. I don't know what to do.

This gym in great! I can’t wait to see what it’s going to look like when the construction is done and it gets even bigger then it already is! The atmosphere is wonderful! It feel like a family the second you walk in the door! If you’re stuck in anything or you need help at all any one of the trainers will be there in a second to help you out! You never get any of those intimidating vibes or that awful feeling of “ugh I’m going to the gym today! ” The atmosphere is so positive and uplifting the classes always sound like so much fun! And as a woman who is intimidated and was super nervous about going to the gym and working out it’s really nice that they have private and separate areas for woman to work out in and when construction is done a whole separate side where woman will be able to work out is amazing. I’m really looking forward to it. The best part is that this gym is super clean and extremely well taken care of. There is so much equipment you rarely ever have to wait for a machine to get your work out in which helps your workout go by so fast which is so nice! The bathrooms could use a little bit of clean up work but otherwise gymvmt in trans Canada is a great place to work out. I’m excited for the things to come and a CrossFit square at the gym is going to be a great addition. The trainers put in the effort and do great work and they make you feel like you matter which is really nice. If you’re looking for some of the best Roxanne, Shayne, and Tyna are the best. They will support you and be there for you 100% of the way. I recommend this gym to anyone!

The environment is Trainers and staff is very helpful. There is a separate women section as well and a bigger space for women is coming soon.

Let me make something very clear, this location has excellent professionals who know what they are doing and are always happy to help. The staff is very friendly and the personal trainers are really dedicated. The only reason this is not a 5 out of 5, is because the men's locker room is uncomfortably small and the lockers are barely big enough to fit your gym bag, while the shower stalls are tight. Please know that they are currently working on this, once the locker room situation is dealt with I will be glad to change my review.

10/10 Would go back to this gym. All the trainers were super nice and helpful giving advice on my workout routine to get the most out of my time spent at the gym

It's a great gym to go to, it is awesome what they have done so far with the renovations and adding the two gyms together. There is way more space then the old gym and there will be even more once all the renovations are done. Excited to see the finished product and to have all the equipment out of storage and set up, including any new additions. The staff is great, they have some of the best trainers in the city. They are very knowledgeable and always willing to help out if you have any questions or need a spot. Great gym and I'm excited for what the future holds.

Spa lady is a scam.and they tell you lies to make more money, I closed my training with them, but they told me that I had 15 sessions left and that it is okay if I finished them and I wont get charged because I already paid for them.well that was a lie! They continued to charge me! As soon as I called the main office to figure out why. The trainers delete my sessions and change there story and say I have none and that I over used my session, which is a lie. They deleted my extra sessions so that they could get away with stealing more money from me! Spa lady is a scam and they actually tell you lies to your face to get more money out of you. I.most definetly would not recommend getting training from this place!

I used to enjoy coming here because it was for women only. One day they decided they were going to do renovations for two weeks. Two weeks changed to a month and here we are, three months later and it seems like nothing is going to change. No call or emails to explain what is going on. Twice now I have showed up to the gym only to find a huge lock in the door and the last time, they even changed the name of the gym to something weird that I can’t even read out loud. If I wanted to be confined to a chicken coup in the back of the gym, I would have picked a different gym with updated equipments and more options for classes. I chose this gym only and only because it provided privacy and that’s not the case anymore. I feel cheated and disrespected as a customer.

I loved coming here until it became co-ed! We got less than 2 weeks notice about the changes in July so I was pretty upset by it. It isn't empowering for me to come here anymore. I know they're working on the womens only side but it is annoying to be displaced for so long and be hidden behind curtains. I can't even do my full program from my PT cause some of the equipment is on the co-ed side: (
The other spa ladys are still open but all over half an hour drive away from this one without traffic.

I was so surprised when I got to Spa Lady a few months ago that it was under renovations and that it was going to become exclusive to both men and women. I was unaware of these changes. I signed up to Spa Lady since it was an all women gym however they changed it without notifying there customers. So I immediately called Spa Lady to put my account on hold, I specially told the lady on the phone that I'll call them back once I'm ready to unfreeze my account however a month after calling them they started to charge me again, I haven't even been to the gym ever since I put my account on hold, all I ask is for a refund because from what I know my was account was still on hold.
