Good little produce products store. Usually fresh produce. Good deals from time to time. Staffs are friendly.

Great deals! The priduce is close to its end of life but if you clean, freeze etc it's very worth it!

Hit and miss on fresh products. Sometimes they're great other times not so fresh. Prices are usually good just check the freshness. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

It was our first time bought from here. And none of the fruits were good. We bought so much and it was such a regret. Tasteless, and very bad in quality. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Fabulous experience here today. Clean, organized market. Ripe, great looking produce. Amazing deal on strawberries I haven't seen them that cheap in years. The cashier was incredibly friendly and let us know we qualified for the free item. Will be back without a doubt.

Decently priced. Far better then most shopping places for prices but sometimes the stock isn't great, bad or just without. If you get there on a day when stock is good you will have a great shopping experience.

Great produce at reasonable prices. Wasn't a fan of the ready to cook veal tortellini though.

Fruits & veggies use to be reasonably priced but not anymore!
Other grocery items are way overpriced and the choice is very limited.

I thought this was a descent priced produce and it isn't. I went in yesterday and most of prices are actually more than superstore. I did get a couple of things but overall freestone is better priced and the quality is also kind of bad. The strawberries were very bad considering they are not completely out of season. I also follow them on FB and what they said were on sale actually wasn't or wasn't labeled on sale.so make sure you check your fliers because you can get cheaper or better quality at other places

Fantastic store to get produce for cheap. The prices are amazing compared to grocery stores and the quality of the veggies is usually pretty good. Usually 75-99% quality to that of grocery stores.

Selection is pretty good for most of your basics, though some items such as grapes are not always readily available.

H and W is a discount produce market. Prices are very good but the selection of what is available varies daily so there are no guarantees that what you walk in looking for is what you will walk out with. Always an adventure.

Discount fruit and produce market, yes it is, and it feels like it.

This is my 4 or 5 time in the store, each time I tell myself do not return.

This time my wife wanted to see it for herself.

I should have snapped a few photos to more clearly show some poor choices that the store has made.

Their is a point you should not sell some produce, when it has gone bad, and trying to sell it just makes us want to put everything back and go elsewhere, Yuk! How much mold is necessary for you to throw out produce?

The prices were not really much better than any grocery store.

What can you do to improve?
Easy.
Sometimes recognise a product is only good as animal feed or the garbage.

Oh my, what happened to the corn! It looked so bad and gray, only worthy for animal feed. 6 for $3.69! Belong in trash not for resale. Small flat of raspberries for $10, it would have been a great deal but much was covered in mold. I don't expect perfect produce for cheap price but at least it should be edible. They did have other good produce but quite disappointed in expensive rotten food for sale.

Can't tell how fresh the produce are especially the ones on sale until you pay and try them at home.bad experience with watermelons i bought today for 2.88 each.i bought 4 but none of them were edible. The skin was hard to cut through (old) inside was dry yellowish and bland.good for the compost only.
Buyers beware

Even though H&W is out of our way, my family and I love going to it as the shop is clean, the staff friendly, the produce is fresh and prices are more than fair. Today as I was paying for my produce, a man came in to return a box of mangos as many of them were rotten on the inside despite looking fabulous on the outside. I remarked my were the same but I no longer had the bill as I donot keep bills for consumables. But I did have a picture of the cut up spoiled mangoes which I showed to John, the owner/boss. He very kindly offered me a replacement box based solely on my word. To add to my delighted surprise, he instructed a staff member to bring out 6 boxes of red and 6 boxes of Alfonso mangos so that the "lady could chose a box that she would be satisfied with". Lol! Amazing customer service.

Best produce store ever. Staff are fantastic. Prices are great and when I can fit a case of strawberries or blueberries in my freezer it is a cost saving bonus. Also the free bag of potatoes, onions or whatever the bonus is fun. Right now I am enjoying my onions. Lots of homeless people, be kind, buy them some fruit.

You can find different kinds of fruits and vegetables at very reasonable prices. Goods are neatly displayed. Super discounted items near the pay counters.

I lost my engagement ring a few weeks ago while shopping here. The staff found it the next day! Thank you so much guys, it means a lot for me! Prices are fair too. Will come back again for sure to buy fruits and veggies here.

My favourite place for fruit and veggies. Have to pick through for the freshest but that depends on the day of the week.

I've stopped getting veggies from other stores because I always find the best deals here. Plus they always seems to have things you wouldn't find at the big stores.

This is a GREAT place to go get your fruits and vegetables. Staff is always very helpful and nice. Their prices REALLY can't be beat! But don't think their quality of merchandise suffers. They have both (great prices AND great produces). I wish they open up another location in the NW please!

This store has a large selection of fresh fruit and vegetables at very very reasonable prices. The prices are displayed openly. Staff are friendly and helpful. Yesterday BC cherries were $. 98 per pound, peaches $2.42 per pound

Love this place for fresh fruits and vegetables. Usually decent prices for what you get, makes it affordable to eat healthier coming here. The fact the parking is so convenient is a plus. I always receive friendly service. Highly recommend!

Good prices but some of their employees don’t have patience when it comes to their older customers. My parents were in today and my mom stated my dad was treated rudely by someone named Fiona. My dad simply asked about the price of a product and was responded to in a rude way. Hopefully a just one time thing…

Highlighting the local products is a really nice touch. For a small store, everything is well laid out, tidy and the prices for produce are unreal!

Best Discount Produce in Calgary. Very professional. They hire everyday people instead of what seems like just family members as most in the area seem to do. The produce is good quality and the prices sometimes shock you how low they are. I only wish they had other locations in Calgary like they do in Edmonton.

Seriously! If you want fruit and veggies at a GREAT price, THISIS the place to go. I live in the way SE and go every weekend for my weekly shop of friut and veggies. Prices are unbelievable! Sometime you have to pick through what's there, but MOST OF THE TIME their produce is amazing! Love H&W

Small (er) tidy store. The produce is usually fresh. Quality is usually better than the nearby produce store. Staffs are friendly. Plenty of parking is accessible around the store.

Worst experience ever had from this store thats for supervisor who ever works at back you should respect your customer if you can't what the hell you doing there Btw owner of this store really nice man i meet him few times

Must try FIELD tomatoes they taste like home grown much better then greenhouse ones. Field tomatoes have unique flavor and meaty texture to them. They also get wide variety of mushrooms, exotic fruits, garlic is sold in bulk absolutely outstanding, variety of squashes, very clean and organized.
They also carry raw Canadian honey.
I hope we all keep good vendors in business.
