Habibi Shawarma

Very mixed bag, you won't know what you are getting till you are at the counter - Employees and possibly Management changes every few months. Used to go here regularly before Corona days and had he best Shawarma in Calgary then (used to go at least once in a fortnight). And then after that, the quality went downslide. One time (about a year back) went there and they served me really blackened and charred Shawarma meat, I was flabergasted and asked them what happened with the meat and the young lady told me that they had a cooking accident in the morning (? If then why selling such charred inedible meat). And when I declined and asked for a refund the lady accused me of my credit card transaction not having gone through originally (?). My jaw dropped but then another lady from inside the kitchen came up and refunded me. And recently (May-June 2023) it appears to be under a different set of employees and the entrance is through inside Bangla market. And the food portions and size had become much smaller (though the price point is much less compared to other established Shawarma places)

Horrible Chicken Biryani I ever had. I bought it for my husband's quick meal for his work, but he couldn't finish it regardless its small portion, just because of horrible taste of rice and chicken. I tried what he brought back home as a left over. OMG, so bad. I don't know how to describe, just so bad. Rice are smelled old, dry and stinky as well as chicken. No matter it is reasonable, it is Not acceptable! I don't want to give one star or even half. It is zero star. Not recommend at all.

Extremely bad platter. It was a joke. They gave us so little, and it tasted so bland, overall a horrible experience. Iwasted my money on nothing, I AM NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN

Drove 25 min to try out my fav shawarma place. First time in 1 year and the taste fell off heavily. Shawarma was wrapped in pita bread and not proper shawarma wrap. The donair and chicken were cut in big pieces and it was not meant to be in shawarma. The taste was not as good and the donair was hard. Not satisfied even though it was cheap. Jerusalem is the best in Calgary.

Edit (2023) - Returned to this place for Chicken Biryani, was a absolute sad experience. It used to be lot better, now even the chicken seemed not washed properly. Had a weird grainy texture to the meat. The rice seemed very old and on the verge on going stale. Not acceptable, no more recommended.

Awesome food, portion size is unimaginable. Ordered some chicken dishes and the pieces are huge, hope they're not turkey instead. Overall, an awesome experience today. Am surely coming back for more.

Coming back after a long time, had the chicken shawarma wrap and fuchka. The shawarma was pretty good, the fuchka was better. The prices are also very affordable.

I buy the weekly 5 items deals. The food is amazing and you can ask for any type of dish that you are craving for. Would recommend this place for busy people.

Went in today and ordered medium chicken shawarma, the man who made my wrap was so kind and provided good service. The wrap was really really good and it’s pretty cheap for the quality you get. It did take a little wait to get the wrap, but that’s only because everything is freshly made. I would definitely recommend this place to you.

I ordered food here - got a chicken platter and I got food poisoning. Was dying in a few hours since I ate it. Not ever going back.

Clean dinning hall

Very poor service. There is 8 pieces of fuchka in the menu but they served 7 pieces. When told they gave us 1 but was asking where it’s written! Behaviour was not good at all. And the fuchka was the worst I ever had. No cilantro, chillies. Never gonna go there again.
