Very accommodating abt the times for dropping off and picking up the dog. They can keep your puppy until 4.30pm when they shut down.

I was really happy with our appointment this morning, I brought my puppy in for the first time for a bath and tidy with Nina and she was fantastic! Very patient and listened to how I wanted my puppy groomed. I was very nervous about taking my puppy in because she hates it so much when I brush her at home but she didn’t even want to leave the salon after her appointment today. The owner even followed up with me this afternoon to let me know that everything went great. These girls really took good care of my pup and we’ll be back.

This was our third visit and it feels like the quality has definitely gone down. We take our husky here for a de-shed every now and again and it was wonderful the first 2 times. This third time, they didn't blow out our dog as well. I don't know if the management has changed but I wouldn't suggest bringing your dog here if they shed a lot like ours does. She's not shedding as much as before but there's still fur flying everywhere. The previous two grooms were not like this.

Couldn’t recommend this place more! We have been visited here for few times now, and they always take such good care of our Great Pyrenees. The staffs are very nice and friendly, and reasonable price for grooming services as well!

Lisa is a God send! My fiesty terrier mix had an awful experience at the last groomer we tried. When I picked him up from Hair of The Dog he was fluffy, soft, and happy! I could tell my pup was in good hands when she immediately got down on the floor and gave him a treat, allowing him to approach her. Thank you Lisa!

*Edit in regards to owner's response: The front desk person never asked for our preferences he asked if we'd like " the same that we always get" and I responded in the affirmative as we've never NOT had our dog trimmed there so if this has changed we're unable to know that without an explanation. However, if this was just a matter of a miscommunication and a small trim being missed then it could have easily been rectified, but it wasn't. I shouldn't need to communicate that you shouldn't use your feet to push dogs and close one in a door instead of just restraining the free roam dogs in the grooming area before letting another dog out. This should be common sense, but it was particularly egregious that the person manning the front desk admitted to the fault only after being confronted. Accidents happen but they should be addressed especially when it could lead to injuries of an animal left in your care. **

We've been coming here for almost 10 years and after the most recent visit we won't be returning again. On top of just simply not cutting our dogs hair fully (legs and tail left ungroomed) on pick up the front desk person closed the door on our dog's hips while shoving another dog back with his foot rather than just putting the other dog away first while bringing them out of the grooming area. When confronted and pressed on why he closed the door on my dog's hips all he could offer was "Oh that's my bad", disgusting behaviour. In regards to all of the missed hair he also offered to groom her right there on the spot even though we had paid for a full package to have this done in the first place. After watching him close our dog in the door though and not even apologize when it happened there was no way we would take them up on that offer.

Prior to this while we were waiting another individual brought in her large dog and another small dog, while taking them into the grooming area he just yanked on their leashes causing the large dog to trample and step on the smaller. Clearly shows a lack of care for the animals.

This grooming service is excellent. They are kind and gentle with my dog. Finnegan looks fabulous and smells so good. He now has a collection which includes a bow tie, a Christmas tie, and a bandana. My boy is an important part of our family, and we trust Hair of the dog grooming. Thank you️

My boy has never come from the groomers feeling so soft! They did such a good job deshedding him, I didn’t get any fur out of him when we arrived home. His paw fur and nails were tidied up wonderfully and he even came out with a little bow.

Best part is they let him roam around to check up on other dogs, loved how he wasn’t caged up. The staff were super chipper and kind (despite my dog’s tendencies to sing loudly when he’s lonely). So happy I’ve found Glenn’s new go-to groomers so close to home.

My dog comes home looking great! My dog is a tripod and the are fantastic at making sure she is comfortable. Thank you

I took my sweet 95lb Boxer to Hair of the Dog to get his nails trimmed this morning. His nails were in a real bad state (he's been to the vet, we have changed his food, added Vitamin E & Omega 3 to his routine) Anyways, the girls that work here took him in without having an appointment, helped as best they could and then didn't charge me as they could only cut half his nails which is understandable because the other half are so short/have broken off etc. We are worried this is an auto immune thing. However I am thankful I have found this place and will hope to bring him back again. Would highly recommend!

Our boys LOVE their time spent here. And they look amazing when we pick them up too.
One is an old grump who sings the song of his people, the other is a puppy with sight issues and is deaf, both are taken care of so well.

Cocoa the dog might have a different opinion since he doesn't really like getting his hair done, but the folks here are very nice and good at what they do! Thanks Hair of the Dog team!

Service is great. Dog well style and well cut. It is on the slightly expensive side. You get what you pay.

After another mobile grooming company epically let me down with no shows and cancellations, we decided to reluctantly try onsite grooming for our super timid little bean. Leanna was AMAZING with her (sorry about the poop, Leanna, Lucy was so nervous). They answered the phone when I called (other groomers could take a note), they offered next day due to a cancellation, had an amazing Christmas package available, and our little Lucy looks adorable. We have rebooked and will not be struggling with mobile groomers in this city any longer. This company is amazing!
