We paid $35 family of 4 for day use only and we can't access pool because we didn't do camping as what the staff said.max.of 2 nights to camp. We supposed to try 1 night there. Too crowded and lake was gross can't swim on it thought we can. Kids was very disappointed because they thought they're swimming. We end up boondocking at walmart then went to Millennium place for swimming and capillano park which way more better.we wasted our $35 plus gas going there.

The administration office employees are not friendly and not welcoming, we tried to ask about several things, but they responded in unwelcoming way

There are no "rooms". This is a campground. Lots are pretty nice. It's pretty expensive. To bring a couple siblings in for lunch, they charge you 30 bucks! Historically, camping has been about family and memories. This place is all about the $$$. My neighbor brought in his two daughters and their kids for a hotdog and they charged him $60! Definitely, beware of that before booking. I was also told that day guests dont even get access to all of the amenities (pool). What are they paying that much for?

I don't know. I get that it's a business and businesses need to make money, but I don't get that same camping feeling that I do when I stay elsewhere when they charge my elderly parents (who wouldnt consider using the pool or bouncy pillow) 15 dollars to come see their grandchildren for an hour.

I'd like them to regulate unsupervised children at play by the pillow a bit more. There are a lot of cars and it's dangerous for the little ones.

A nice place for family camping. There are plenty of activities for kids. Private heated swimming pool. They had a food truck that Saturday. So, I'm not sure if they have it every weekend. First time but we enjoyed it. Washrooms and showers were just nearby and clean. Half an hour away from Edmonton, why not? A quick getaway for a weekend.

Beyond accommodating. My husband is staying there for work and its it such a beautiful place. We had one minor hiccup but this was resolved within mins and they managed to address our concerns

I had no idea that Half Moon Lake was so close to travel too!

It's a great site for camping, swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking and spending time laughing with people you love!

Highly recommend!

Went here August 13th 2023 and my 7 year old granddaughter and myself ended up with severe Swimmers Itch. DO NOT GO IN THE LAKE. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE.

I can't give 5 stars yet since I haven't stayed there yet, I am, however going to be there for a weekend soon. My sister and I went there to look around, they normally don't let you do that but we're glad they did.

We got severe swimmer's itch from the lake. There is nothing to warn you about this! The lake is disgusting and people shouldn't be allowed to access it.

Paid for a day pass and it doesn’t include the pool. My kids were devastated watching people in the pool from the fence. Also they advertise having kayaks…. They have one single and one double, with expensive hourly rate. Not ideal for a family.

I went here to spend the day at the lake to enjoy time to cool off and view the trails, only to find you have to be 18 to get day pass admission. I understand being 18 to get a camp lot or to do the water activities but to not be able to enjoy the trails or swimming is a little ridiculous. On the website it does not say you need to fill out waiver. I’m 16 and can drive but I am being told I can’t even walk. I’m honestly really disappointed. Don’t bother if you are under the age of 18 or don’t have a parent/guardian with you.

0/5 - Long story short, we tried to plan our wedding here for August and ended up cancelling due to the owners attitude along with other factors. Read along if you want the details.

This place is overpriced and the sites are so crammed in there is not even a shred of privacy.

When I first contacted Brad (the owner) to see if a wedding would be possible, he was up for it and advised there was lots of room and a perfect deck for a ceremony and reception, and mentioned he'd hosted wedding before. When I first contacted him at the beginning of the year we were thinking of having 15-20 people at our wedding and a couple days later I contacted him to let him know that we would be having closer to 30-40 as I wanted to make sure this was okay with him before moving forward. He assured me this was okay and there was more than enough room (which there was). He insisted that we wait until June to come see it so we could get the full picture, so we did. Upon meeting him, one of the first things he said to me was "oh, so you're still doing this? " in an annoyed tone which threw me off, there were often other sarcastic comments made making it seem like we were inconveniencing him, such as, making a sarcastic comment about the amount of questions I had about my own wedding! We decided to brush it off since it was so close to the wedding date felt like we had no other option. Then we came back about a month before the wedding day with our photographer as we had been told by Brad that we could come by anytime to check it out and didn't have to let him know. Sure enough, he came down in his golf cart and all we got was attitude, making us feel like a total inconvenience. We then decided to take a small drive to look around the campsite for more photo ops and again Brad came up to our vehicle in his golf cart and said "whatchya doin? " to which we explained that we were showing our photographer around and he replied "Uhh yeah no, can't do that" and then continued to follow us out to ensure that we left. There were no signs advising us that we could not drive around the campground. Overall, Brad is completely unprofessional and flat out rude. We also found out after cancelling our wedding here that there would have been a sand castle competition scheduled for that day by Brad directly beside the ceremony/reception site and we were not made aware of this at any point.

We are both very laid back people and we were happy to respect the policies and ensure that we did not cause any inconvenience to Brad or other campground guests however, we could not deal with the micromanaging and the attitude.

He also complained multiple times and reiterated how "busy" they are and made us feel like this wedding would be a total inconvenience so we decided to cancel all of our bookings and our family and friends bookings and take our business elsewhere.

I understand this is not a wedding venue and not a 'party place' but he should have never accepted if he didn't want it. Brad is not accommodating, he will belittle you and micro manage any plans you have.

We will not be returning and I will not recommend this "resort" to any body.

Close to the city with an outdoor pool is what drew us to this place, the terrible condition of the attractions, sites stack on top of each, over priced admission and to many rules with arbitrary enforcement is what will have us not returning anytime soon.
The map is very inaccurate and lead us though some older loop before I was able to figure out the mistake made on a clearly over simplified map thats been rendered inaccurate. The attraction's looked cheap, old, dirty and barely kept up. The lake is for looks only, and the pool was out of service after the 1st night.
It felt very over crowded and was not fun at all. The price needs to come down and the advertisement needs to be more honest. Over all a big disappointment.
And yes we were looking for a yearly spot, this place will not be it for us.

They have been putting alot of work into the property, they now have a pool! As well as a big bounce mat for kids. Basketball courts, mini golf. I had a great experience with my wife and 2yr old.

If I could leave a 0 star I would. The owner is the rudest person I’ve ever met. So condescending and made us feel very un welcomed. Would not recommend this campsite unless you enjoy having every aspect of your stay being micromanaged.

My friend and I spent the day at the day access beach with our 4 year olds and had a great time paddle boarding and playing in the sand, water and at the park. The portable toilets were clean and there was a shower to rinse off after our water adventures.

Like most if not all lakes in Alberta there are leeches so just be aware of that especially with your kiddos. We didn’t get any on us but I did have three on the bottom of my board. Use a thin object like a credit card, Swiss army blade or even finger nail to remove them or if they’re on you let them fall off naturally.

This beach will definitely be on regular rotation for us this summer!
