Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Red Deer

One of the best Hampton Inns I’ve been to. Most of them are hit or miss. This one is exceptional. Very friendly customer service, where your greeted coming and going. The room is nice and clean. Shower pressure is phenomenal. Bed nice and soft. And housekeeping comes every day. Towels nice and soft.

The Hotel staff made our stay very enjoyable and comfortable. Front desk Randel, Jhun, and Felly are helpful and very welcoming! All areas in the hotel are well organized and sanitary. From 6 to 10am they would hold a complimentary breakfast, my family and myself really enjoyed it and we like the set-up. If you forget to pack specific washroom stuff, they’ll gladly provide. I Highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

Horrible customer service, my trip hasn't even begun and I am turned of I call the hotel for information and told to call back later because the agent is busy when I call back I'm told to call back tomorrow

Great hotel. Breakfast Included but juice machine broken and the waffle makers out service loose a star from me.

Almost perfect place to stay except the bed was very hard and there weren't enough blankets.

It was an ok stay. The staff was great however we didn’t have power in our room on the second night of our stay (about 7pm) and it still wasn’t restored at the time of check out. The staff apologized but that’s about it. They also mis charged our credit card and when we called to ask about it we’re told that it would “just all be ok” The next time we stay in the area I think we will choose a different hotel.

No outdoor plug-ins. During our stay there were -40C wind chills. We had to set an alarm every 3-4 hours to start our vehicle during the night, and since this was a business trip, we didn't feel like we were able to do 100% during the day because of broken up sleep.

The staff were excellent. Unfortunately they had a flood on the first floor due to broken pipes. They had dehydrating fan machines running 24/7 so when you were going on the first floor for breakfast it wasn't very nice hearing the noise from the fans. The food also needs improvement. It wasn't very good.

Stayed here while working in Red Deer Nov 29-Dec 2,2022. The suites are huge with lots of comfortable furniture in the living room, the desk separating the living room from the bed was handy too. Comfy bed and great housekeeping—friendly staff! Delicious breakfast! I wish the fresh cookies they put out in the afternoon were available in the evening, I only got to try them once but they were delicious!

Reserved 2 queens got a king and they blamed it on me. The king room was nice and the the breakfast was good.

Have a great experience. Specially there manager I think name was Cheque, she was cheerful, fun and helpful. And breakfast was delicious

This hotel is run down and in need of repairs. Staff were friendly when dealing with them. Checked in at dinner time and went for dinner. Came back and turned on Air conditioning at 7pm (note hot weather warning in effect) by 9pm it had not cooled one bit. Air condenser was not working and the unit was really old. Called front desk at 9 and was told someone would be up. 15-20 had passed so I went down to front desk. Then I was told the maintenance person is good home. I requested another room however sold out as well all the other hotels were sold out because the all were housing employees from a plant shut down. We sucked it up as we had no other place to go. Guess we slept in a little and missed the maid so no room service was done the next morning. Gone for the day and came back at 7: 30pm to find out nobody had looked at the unit and still not operating. The wall thermostat was reading 24 degrees. Another night of poor sleep.

Note the towels were missing when we first checked in and the bed comforter was in pretty rough shape and the mattress was worn out, only 1 elevator was working.

The only positive was the food was consistent to other locations and although the hotel is in desperate need of updating the staff were still friendly.

Was offered a free stay the next time only for their location. I would not stay at this location again personally and I turned it down.

We stayed here for 2nights because my husband started working at Nova Chemicals for 24 days straight. I and the kiddos decided to visit him and stay here since we are collecting Hilton points. I booked two nights' reservations separately through the Hilton app. I called before our arrival and told them I had made two separate reservations. And I request that We don't want to change rooms, and we would like to stay in just one room for two nights. The girl I spoke to on the phone said that everything was okay, and she left a note that we don't have to check out and check in again, and we can keep our room for the whole stay. Upon arrival, everything went well; the staff was friendly. They informed me immediately that I had to call them the following day for another check-in. Even I was trying to explain that I called the day before regarding the booking issues. We went to our room and tried to connect to wifi several times, and it was not working. I called reception, and they said they didn't know why I could not join the wifi. Then they found out that they had misspelled my last name. The next day I went to the front desk to confirm if we still had to move to a different room. She told us everything was fine and we could keep our room. When I returned to our room, I received a phone call from a different receptionist that we had to move to another room since I had booked a King bed for the first night and two queen beds for the second night. I told them that upgrade it since we don't want to move our stuff again, and I have a nine-month-old baby. They kept us in the same room and just upgraded it as requested. For the whole three days and two nights' stay, there was no housekeeping cleaning our room; I called three times for fresh towels, and no towels came. Our card key didn't work four times during our stay, and I had to call reception every time to open our room. We are frequent travellers and always stay in different properties, but this is the first time that I have commented since our experience was so inconvenient. My husband still has 22 days left to finish their project, and We will probably stay in a different hotel to revisit him.

In all my travels and places stayed I'd have to say this one is my go-to. Wonderful staff, excellent rooms, great breakfast with a wonderfully wonderful dining room. Rooms are done daily and restocked. When your never home it's nice to have a place that provides you the creature comforts. This place has a little store at the front desk should you need anything but too tired to trek outbound. Place is ridiculously close to everything you could want or need including resutrants. Love it.

We stayed one night, my husband normally stays here alot for out of town work. It has really gone down hill since we stayed here last. He was here a couple weeks ago and nothing really special. When we stayed here with friends last year it was amazing! Huge room everything was working. This stay an elevator wasn't working, ice and vending machines weren't working and the lock for the front door (it gets locked at 11pm) where you scan your room key to get back into the hotel wasn't working. Breakfast was decent.once we got to our room we were welcomed by like an Older gross smell, toom was clean though.pretty happy we only stayed one night.

Do not book here, left on hold for 10 minutes. Called back and complained about it and was rudely hung up on twice. Terrible customer rude service

Nice hotel located along Gasoline Alley/Red Deer. Plenty of parking when you arrive. Welcoming large lobby with pleasant staff. Well maintained and clean. Check in was good. The rooms are clean and spacious. With comfortable beds, fridge, and writing desk. Bathrooms are large and showers are new. A breakfast is served that offers hot and cold options with 24 hour coffee and hot chocolate. Overall pleasant stay and would stay again.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The rooms, the property and the service was exactly what you would expect from this chain. It looks like they are doing some Reno's on this property to keep it current but everything was clean and we had a great breakfast. Kathy at the breakfast bar was exceptional who really took good care of us.

The pool and hottub are NOT available but they don't tell you that before you book. They have a sign saying it's closed for maintenance and "shock treatment" but in the reviews you can see its been closed for months. I hate being lied to.

My husband has never been so mid treated by hotel front desk staff in his life! And he has had to stay at multiple hotels due to his work! He was spoke down to just trying to check into the hotel after a 12 hr drive! The man at th front desk belittled and cut off my husband sentences to the point my husband left and found a new hotel to stay at you should really have staff that check people in have some manners and try to be a lot more polite he felt as he was discriminated against because he is younger looking when he is actually not so young as well as he never has talked down to or mistreated someone in the hospitality industry. Would never recommend this place and also nothing was done to rectify the situation no fallow up with a manager ect poor customer service!

Was told the pool was closed for maintenance and it should be opened soon. Found out later the pool has been closed since August as it was closed by Alberta health services. I booked the hotel because of the hot tub. It should have been removed from website. Told front desk the ice maker was broken on 3rd floor. She said to come downstairs to laundry room. It was broken as well. She gave me ice from kitchen. The next day I found out from 2 different staff members that the only working machine is on the 4th floor. Seems to me that everyone knows the machines are not working. A sign on the machines telling me where to get ice would have been appreciated, also being told the truth. Breakfast was good, and room was clean.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, decent water pressure in the shower. Being in gasoline alley makes this a great pit stop to break up a long road trip. This hotel is a great value and I'd definitely return.

Super annoyed with the cancellation policy, in a pandemic I would expect companies to be more understanding. Wr travel alot with kids sports and now to keep a 100 room to lose all future bookings seems silly on company front. Very disappointed.

They didn't mentioned that facilities are closed for maintenance & they took full charge, breakfast is just a lie!

We couldn't have been happier with our stay. The room was better than expected, the staff were wonderful, the accommodations all around were perfect and we can't imagine staying anywhere else again in the future.

Nick and I were having great conversations every time I came in he was always welcoming towards myself and the other guests in and out of the hotel. I forget the other guys name but he is also front desk and is always prompt to make sure your stay is perfect. Love the Hilton here in Red Deer. Perfect every time I'm here. Oatmeal cookies are always the best at the end of the night when I'm coming in to check in! Highly recommended!

This hotel was a first time stay for me, the room was great, staff were great, and the breakfast was very good and served very promptly.
I will definitely stay again

Food is superb, not just packed but all cooked, different every morning. Clean and the staff are super friendly. The rate is affordable too. Over all experience is excellent

All of the staff were exceptionally helpful and inviting, especially Justin at the front desk. I was made to feel that my time their really mattered to them.

Hampton Inns are my first "go to" choice when choosing a place to stay. They have high standards in every Hampton that I have ever stayed in.just cannot go wrong!

Staff were very accommodating on our emergency stay, rooms were very spacious and clean.great value, I strongly recommend them!

Checking in was difficult as hell. It felt like the person at the front desk didn't know what they were doing. Had to stand there for over a half hour while she "processed the check in". The hotel and premises smell terrible as much as they try to mask it with cheap fragrance. The room keys are annoying, you need to try multiple times hoping they will work. I will not be staying here again and wouldn't recommend you do either.

The hotel itself is very nice and comfortable. The room is quiet and very nice. The bathroom is very big and clean.

The staff are what really makes the hotel amazing. Every person I have dealt with has been amazing. They are friendly and helpful and really went above and beyond.

The weather was horrible with wind chills of -48. My car wouldn’t start in the morning. 3 staff members came out to my car to try to help me boost it and get it started. A guest even came out to help. They stood out in the cold trying everything they could to start it. We couldn’t get it started, but I appreciate so much all the effort they went to.

The breakfast room staff and front desk staff are also all super friendly and helpful.

I would recommend for anyone to stay here.

This is a newer, clean and very welcoming hotel in Red deer. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and well maintained. The location is great as its close to many shops, restaurants and fast food joints. There are other hotels in the same vicinity. You also have Costco's gas station nearby. The indoor pool was nice and warm. The hot tub temperature was comfortable. The complementary breakfast was very good and hot. This is one of the best priced hotels in Red Deer. Would surely recommend this place. It's a great place to stay with family and friends.

The staff was friendly and the rooms were nice, however the waste at this hotel is unreal. Paper cups wrapped in plastic, plastic cutlery, paper plates.and so on. Not a single thing was reusable. Very disappointed.

Hotel is clean, modern. Beautiful. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The complimentary breakfast offered both hot and cold foods, alll fresh and tasty. The price of the room was very reasonable and definitely would return. The location is great. Right across the street from gasoline alley.

Clean, quiet, spacious room, very nice breakfast. Free coffee and tea 24 hours. Nice pool and hot tub. Only downside was the coffee was only adequate.
