Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Edmonton/West

For this level of hotel, it is a nice choice. Clean, modern and friendly staff. Located close to attractions on the west side and Acheson.

Service very friendly and not a problem.
Breakfast has pretty much everything you want! Good quality too.
There is a big pool area.
Internet is strong.
Is pretty quiet overall.

The cons and the needs improvement though.
Wow, why do the hallways have to be so COLD? Not even hot out while we have been here. Save some $$$ yes?
Get much better more attentive housekeeping staff! Under the desk and not even right up against the wall was a bottle cap plastic top and some chocolate candy piece and as well I stepped on some plastic item. Also some other stringy thing got on my sock! Terrible non vacuumed room!
The hot tub jets are not that strong! This is very big to me and even more important than the terrible housekeeping!

Can only review this Hampton an average 3 of 5 stars because of the needs improvement.

Room was clean, bed & pillows were very comfortable, staff were friendly.
The only negatives were around dining, I prefer having a dining room in the hotel for dinner, and a couple of the hot items at the breakfast buffet were cold.
There was an air freshener used in my room, I am sensitive to fragrance, the scent gave me a headache, being able to open the window really helped.
I would return.

Booked a king room through Aeroplan and when showed up hotel told me no King is available. I had to wait 45 minutes at 7: 30 PM for a king room to be cleaned. Next day when I mentioned this to front desk manager she mentioned there's no guarantees of getting a king room if you book one through other sites. Only way to guarantee one is to book through Hilton site directly. I have never heard of any other hotels chains that have this policy. The front desk manager was not apologetic and mentioned I should be booking through Hilton directly next time.

3 nuits et on a bien aimé moi et les 2 enfants. Piscine, déjeuner, coin dépanneur et thé, café gratuit! (je sais c'est inclus dans mon prix!) Le personnel gentil et rigolo. Voilà, je le recommande.

It’s a decent hotel. Clean, super friendly staff, huge pool and kiddie pool (no hot tub that I could see). Our room was very spacious which was nice since we are moving and had a lot of stuff with us. Pet friendly is another bonus though I didn’t see a nearby dog park. The hotel is on a street surrounded by other hotels and businesses. However there was plants of parking. We got here right at check in and had no problems parking our rented 26’ moving truck in the back.

My issues were with the laundry room and the thermostat. The thermostat is set at a certain temp and you can change it but once it reaches your temp, it automatically reverts to their preprogrammed temp which was a pain as I woke up twice to reset it.

The laundry room is an all out joke. 1 washer and 1 dryer and it’s only open from 6am -12am. $3CA to wash and another $3CA to dry. One person sat in there all night with multiple loads and we couldn’t do a load. As I said we are moving and this was day 5 of our cross-country journey. When we went in the am…the dryer is “out of order”. For a hotel of this size, that caters to families with small kids, their laundry facility is not sufficient.

Close to WEM, restaurants. Clean, friendly, warm pool with a kiddie pool, great breakfast, but most importantly amaxong service from the HI team.

Really good location near West Edmonton Mall. Breakfast included in room, free parking. Friendly attention.

Friendly staff, clean environment, decent pool and hot tub. Have to walk a little bit or drive to near by restaurants but it’s close to highway so basically close to everything. 5 mins drive to WEM. Complementary breakfast and lemon water is nice. Stayed there 3 night and they have slightly different breakfast and I appreciate that. Bright clean room with lots of charging places, hooks and space for luggages. Great for group or family. The only minor complaint is that the water pressure is a bit low sometimes.

Spent 3 nights at this hotel in June with me family. Upon arrival we were a bit early for check in but they had no issue letting us in a few minutes early. The lady at check in was friendly, accommodating and got us to our rooms in a timely manor. She explained the facilities available on site and offered us help if needed. We went to an upper floor and to our room. The hall ways were clean, smelt great and lots of light. Upon entering the room it was spacious, had a small kitchenette type space and lots of room to move around. The bathroom was small but the sinks were on the outside so it didn't need to be any bigger. The room was clean, smelt good and looked like it had recently had some upgrades. The pool offered a awesome little splash pad for kids with a mushroom that sprinkled water. There was a fair size hot tub and a great sized pool also. One thing I do have to note is the pool deck is VERY slippery, even walking slowly we almost fell multiple times. We spent hours in the pool and it was clean and nice and warm. This hotel offered a hot breakfast and it was delicious. They offered cereal, breads, baked good, a meat and egg option daily, yogurt, lots of fresh fruit and a waffle machine with different batters daily. We got to try chocolate waffles and blueberry waffles during our stay. Coffee was hot, they had to go cups so you could take a fresh cup back to your room also. Check out was simple and they were always so friendly as you went in and out of the hotel. West Edmonton Mall is close, science center is close, and there's a little strip mall close as well. Highly recommend this hotel

Always a great stay at this hotel. Had fun with the kids at the pool and enjoyed a pay per view movie.

I just wanted to write this review to acknowledge Tanya's professionalism from the front desk as she made me feel right at home from the moment I walked into the doors. My check in process went smoothly and had the great pleasure with such great customer service. I originally reserved a king room and Tanya asked me how was my prior stay was and my experience, after hearing she upgraded my room to the king suite no charge. The hotel is clean and the location is good. Will definitely be staying at Hampton inn for my future stays!

Very creepy experience with a man trying to come into my room in the morning while I was getting out of the shower - I'm guessing he was housekeeping but he didn't say. I called the front desk and the woman at the desk was very unconcerned about it just asking me if I wanted room service or not, when in fact I was checking out for the day and it wasn't the check out time yet. Previously have only had good experiences here but that was extremely off putting.

The staff are very helpful. They pay attention and personalise the experience, communicating between shifts to make the stay better.
In addition, we called back about a lost necklace and the staff followed up with a call afterwards.
The rooms were clean, the pool fun, the location wonderful to access all of Edmonton's tourist fun.

The amazing lady at front desk was the absolute best. Mylene was so up beat, professional, and just lovely, she made the stay exceptional and the hotel room is clean and spacious/ we stayed in the double queen suite.its a hidden Gem and close to restuarants and the mall

This place is awesome, the rooms are up to date and clean, the beds comfy, the breakfast was amazing too

We stayed here with our kids' soccer team for 2 nights. Overall, it was a great experience. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Comfortable beds. Hot breakfast that was included was a very nice bonus! The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The pool area was ok but very clean. They could definitely use a slide. Due to the perfect location, just minutes away from West Edmonton Mall and also shopping area (we did a Safeway run for snacks), we are super happy with the hotel and the service. Will definitely return!

Breakfast was sub standard, and hot tub didn't work properly. One off issues that I suspect the wonderful management team will address.
