Hampton Medical Clinic

Was recommended this clinic as a queer friendly option. We waited for an hour and didn’t even get to see a doctor; the nurse barely examined my partner and gave us a diagnosis of inflammation of the ribs. We also waited 15 minutes for a doctors note which the nurse refused to bring us and forced the receptionist to write us one, then the receptionist had to wait another 10 minutes for the doctor to sign it because neither the nurse nor the doctor refused to acknowledge me and my partner. We ended up going somewhere else to get a real examination and my partner was diagnosed with pneumonia. Never coming back.

The doctor’s here are amazing. They truly care about you and they will always look for a proper solution instead of trying to just get rid of you. Everytime I’ve come here, I am actually getting helped.

Dr. Lee is the best. I don’t have a family doctor but he always remembers me and my needs as if he was.

Dr Lee is the kindest and most helpful doctor ive ever had. He goes over and above for his patients. I go as a walk in because they are not accepting new patients right now. But i never have to wait very long. One day i hope to be a patient of Dr Lee and have him be my entire family’s doctor. But just as a walk in this place is so excellent.

One of the best clinics i’ve been. I just met Dr. Mouhammed and totally happy with how he helped me. I would probably recommend this walk-in clinic.

I love this clinic. The doctor has good manner, very professional and nice… I need A family doctor but I’m not sure if they have this option?

I know it winter but the clinic is so dirty and muddy receptionist they have time to talk with each other but no time to even mop the floor its looks like the don, t care about clinic

Today I finally managed to get my doctor shy partner to come in and have his lungs checked. We were all set and the receptionist told him to go to Shoppers and buy a mask. Well that did it. He walked out and that was it. He wasn't going back in. Whatever happened to providing masks? Now I have to listen to him struggle to breathe and cough until vomiting occurs! Thanks for nothing!

Although receptionists are helpful and very welcoming, I would not recommend Dr. Yao as a physician. I went to see him after a week of terrible pain and symptoms, and after spending about 3 minutes talking to me, without any physical examination whatsoever, he prescribed antibiotics. These were ineffective, so a week later I called the clinic back and asked if I could follow up with him. The front desk encouraged me to come into the clinic ASAP and he would see me. I left immediately to go to the clinic as they recommended, and I showed up at 11: 25, Dr. Yao refused to see me because they only accept walkins until 11: 30 (which I was there before). So I left and called 811, and they informed me I should have been referred for a stool test. So I called the clinic back and asked for Dr. Yao to refer me for this, since his original treatment was ineffective. He refused to send in a referral, without any reason given. Seems to me like he’s only interested in seeing clients as quickly as possible, without properly doing his job whatsoever.

I had a great experience at Hampton Medical Clinic today! The receptionists were professional and polite, and Dr. Mohamed was great! He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I was able to walk in and see a doctor within an hour, which was very reasonable considering how busy it was

I called to see if they were accepting new patients & the Receptionist was pretty rude. Will definitely be avoiding this clinic

Left work early, losing 3 hours, to make it here for 1215, when their walk in stops at 2. I was in a car accident and was turned away. Worst medicenter I've ever been to. 1.5 hour for walk ins and I was turned away. Absolutely fkn unacceptable

This review is about Dr. Arian Samimi, not the clinic has a whole. I have been to the clinic many times and had positive experiences with other physicians there. I went to the clinic last last week as I was experiencing a very sore throat and an aggressive cough. I could not get into my family physician so went to the Hamptons Medical Clinic where I was "treated" by Dr. Samimi. The doctor did not even enter the room. He stood in the doorway, despite me telling him that I had tested negative for COVID 3x. He stayed in the doorway and basically said that I had a virus and he would not examine me until I had been presenting symptoms for 7 days. I explained how much pain I was in and how I have a history of strep. I also explained that I have a young toddler at home that I did not want to get him sick. I asked him to test me for strep, he refused. He did not check my lymph nodes, did not listen to my breathing, or look in my throat. As mentioned, he literally stood at the doorway and made a guess as to what I had. He then prescribed a nose spray which had absolutely nothing to do with my symptoms. The weekend came and my symptoms got worse and my son did get sick. We ended up in emerge because my breathing was so bad. X-rays confirmed bronchitis and pneumonia which was caused from untreated strep. My little guy has strep. All of this could have been avoided with a proper assessment.

The receptionist is pretty rude. I also shouldn’t have to tell the receptionist why I’m there to see a doctor in front of everyone else. That information is between my doctor and I.

This clinic is so hit and miss. Some times we can go there and the doctors seem to be alright, then other times, like today, it reminds me why I don't want to go back. A doctor treated my son today by telling him his issue was weird that a severe canker sore has not healed after several months. Then proceeded to tell him to call a specialist! How does one do that when you need a referral from a doctor?

A year ago today, best days of Hampton Clinic seemed way behind it. Things were hectic at the clinic during my last visit. The front office staff looked busy and overly disorganized. Which resulted in long wait time. Possibly due to high staff turnover, who must be trained repeatedly in order to get up to speed with the processes of the clinic. I also suspect they may have had a high MD turnover, which adds to the clinic's woes.
I wish them luck. I hope they got their act together. I decided to change my MD after long time because of degradation the quality of their service. He seemed distracted, exhausted at testy at the time. During my last appointment, I arrived on time and sat for 20 minutes in the waiting room. I pressed a staff member. She confirmed that my doctor was not at the clinic but was on his way. 1 hour later, I ended the wait. Left the clinic still ill and arrived at work 2 hours late. Later I found out that the doctor did not tell his staff that he had a scheduled meeting outside while I was waiting for him. Cant blame front office staff for such professional ineptitude.

I went in at 09: 00 am and was told to go wait outside in my vehicle for a phone call. Shortly after the doctor called me and I told him I could not swallow without pain, have mucus in my throat, a fever, chills, and more symptoms. I felt I had a tonsil infection or something. Over the phone (so strange) Dr told me to go home and rest and gargle salt water etc etc. I could not believe they were unwilling to treat me! To him, it didn’t sound serious and I was told to go home for a few days and wait and see if my fever reaches 39.5. I was truly in shock.

I went across the street to Elixer Medical Clinic, got into a room with a doctor and found out I have strep throat! I was prescribed antibiotics now and can start to heal!

Save yourself a trip to this clinic and go directly to Elixer, where doctors are willing to treat their customers. (And willing to see them!) Thank God I can start to feel better now!

I was at Hampton Clinic today. Dr. Yau as always the best doctor. So nice and polite and really listens to my concerns. The women at the front desk are amazingly nice and helpful.

Came as a walk in and luckily they had time in their schedule so I was taken in in about 10 minutes! Front desk staff, nurse and doctor were all very friendly and professional. Dr. Yau is very kind and knowledgeable. Can’t recommend this clinic enough!

Did a walk in with my son, Dr barely even looked at him I guess he had more important things to do.whatever he prescribed in 30 seconds doesnt seem to help my sons condition. Im going to get a 2nd opinion elsewhere

Dr. Lau is a very rude man. His chair-side manner is ridiculous. He opens the door and asks you to leave after seeing you for five minutes, because he says he doesnt have time to see you. But he had just seen someone earlier for 40 minutes and was having a casual conversation with them in his language the whole time. So he booted me out to get back on schedule. Horrible.

Dr. Arian Samimi is the best doctor I have ever met! So polite, high professional! I really appreciate him! I highly recommend him!

Your opening/closing times are misleading and contradicting.

Your door says you're closed on Sundays, but a small piece of paper not as legible, says you're open between 1030 and 1530.

Online it states you are open as well but the door dictates you are not. I reccomend either changing your door signage, or making the small paper legible.

Will give this clinic a try, if doctor Yau changes his attituded, this is canada doctor Yau, stop being rude, you get paid to work for us!

This is the best walk in clinc I have been to.
I'm able to get in the same day, with or without appointment, never a long wait and amazing doctors. The girls at the front are amazing and they provide excellent care and customer service. Way to go! Impressive!

I went in today with no voice and i couldnt breathe. Because i said i was getting sick in the morning Dr. Jonathan Yau told me to go home and take a pregnancy test and that was it.pretty sure pregnancy doesnt make you lose your voice. I went and got a second opinion and found out i have strep throat and having asthma attacks. Was put on medication immediately. When i told the other doctor at the other clinic what Dr. Yau told me, she thought he was incompetent and was surprised he didnt diagnose me after looking in my throat because it was clear. If i HAVE to return to this clinic i will be asking for any doctor but him. Im not pregnant BTW.

The women at the front desk are fantastic! They go above and beyond. I’m overly impressed with their level of care and knowledge of the practice and the system. I started coming here as a walk in clinic as it was close to my home, never had to wait longer then 20mins to get in as a walk in. I liked my doctor here so much (Dr. Johnathan Y) that I stopped seeing my previous family doctor and switched to this clinic. Efficient, straightforward and kind!
I actually enjoy coming in here.

Showed up on time for an 11: 15 appointment, was told was going to be at least 45 minutes. What is the point of an appointment? Is my time worth less then the doctor's?

This place is ridiculous. Post holidays hours on the door that mention clinic opening at 10am now 1040 still no one here. Dozen people waiting outside and most of them called the prior day to confirm the hours. Last minute call to the oncall doctor to tell us it was closed for the day!

The clinic itself is alright but Dr. Jonathan Yiu (I think that's his name) is not a good doctor at all! He blatantly told me one time when I came to see him that I was asking too many questions and that I'm not the only patient he has to see that day. I had only asked him 2 questions, and on one of them I had to fight him to give me a requisition for comprehensive blood work because I suspected hormone imbalances. Once he reluctantly gave it to me and when he eventually received my results he called me to come in to tell me everything was fine and that I'm super healthy. Of course I didn't believe him just based on the crazy symptoms I was experiencing, so I went to a naturopath with those same blood work results and low and behold it turns out my hormones are super low! Abnormally low! Testosterone, estrogen and progesterone are in very bad shape! So Dr. Yiu lied to me! How very ethical of him!
I don't know whether he is just in the profession for the money and doesn't care about the health of his patients or whether he was too proud to admit that he may have been wrong (and that my initial suspicions may have been right) about my hormone imbalance. I hardly visit doctors ever, and when I do that means my symptoms are really really bad and I'm at wits' end. I really contemplated long and hard about writing a bad review about him as I hate to say anything bad about anyone, but since this is in regards to people's health and well being, he is also obliged to be 100% honest and open with the health status of ALL his patients and he was not! How disappointing! Do not go see this guy if you're looking for an honest opinion about the status of your health!

Front staff are friendly and wait time for walk-ins is usually pretty minimal depending on how many doctors are working at a time. I've had Dr. Yau twice and hes very patient and a great listener.

Being going here since they opened, I have never had a problem and feel very welcome when i do come in.

I have been using this clinic for a long time now. Any time I have had an issue minor or more concerning they have always been great to deal with. The front desk is polite, courteous, and professional. My current family doctor (Dr. Yau) is also amazing, knowledgeable and has never steered me wrong.

I see complaints and low ratings because of wait times to which can be somewhat long and stressful if you're a walk-in however the staff do their best to get you in ASAP.

That whole area is under constant expansion so do your due diligence and book an appointment if you can.

My 1 star rating should have a negative sign in front of it, DO NOT GO HERE for anything more than a bandade. I was have extreme head aches off and on for about 3-4 month I was in so much pain it caused me to vomit in his office and when the Dr.came to the room he told me I probably Just had a sinus infection. I told him no because i have had that before & this was nothing like that. He proceeded to look in my ears and nose then said that's what it was he said he could see it when he looked in my nose. I then received a prescription for an antibiotic and he left. A week later I collapsed at home and was rushed to the hospital by ambulance where they discovered I had a brain tumor that was causing all my problems. I would have been better off going to see the Veterinarian where I take my dog. I don't remember the name of the Dr.that saw me but that is not the point he was in more of a hurry to see me and get onto another patient as if he was being payed for the amount of people he could see in a day, was very short with me and rude this man almost caused me to lose my life.this was in 2010

Dr Yau was very respectful and helpful. It was very nice to get a call back after my test results arrived!

I joined here shortly after they opened and asked for a family doctor since I just moved to the area The doctor I was given left to another clinic recently for some reason no one talks about. He said i could go to that clinic but he went to the area I moved from so I asked the clinic for a new doctor. They told me they are not taking new patients. So now I don't have a doctor. They obviously don't care about people here, stay away.

I've come here as a walk in a few times now. They're always polite and the wait time isn't as bad as some places.

Terrible experience with this clinic. The doctor accused me of malingering. Will never return here and even considering making an official complaint.
