Han Corea

Definitely one of my go-to's for authentic Korean food here in the city. This food is excellent and I would highly recommend giving this place a go.

The only caveat would be the limited seating arrangements in this small restaurant. Han Corea is a little hole in the wall. There are not many tables so make sure you call ahead to reserve a table.

I can only speak volumes about how simple delicious and hearty the food is here at Han. Also spicy. They start off your meal with a plentiful serving of banchan (small app plates). On my recent visit I ordered the soondubu jiggae- soft tofu stew with seafood. It was perfect snd heart warming spicy for a cool early winter evening. Wonderful zesty food. Love it! Thanks

This has been my go to place for authentic Korean food for years. This “hole-in-a-wall” cozy restaurant has been a favourite for my family, friends and coworkers. Just thinking of their Kimchi jjigae, Gamjatang, Soondae Gukbap, Japchae, Dakbulgogi makes my mouth water, plus they have refills for rice and the various side dishes for free. I’ve tried most of their dishes and it’s all good, best thing is, you can ask them to adjust the spiciness to your taste. If you don’t know what to order, Jay and the other staff are very helpful. There’s only 10 tables but there is ample parking. The place gets really busy around lunch, so get there when it opens at 11, you might need to wait a few minutes if it’s full but it’s worth the wait!

The food is delicious and the basic side dishes are great. I also like the service provided by the workers.

This is the best Korean restaurant in Calgary, where you will never regret the excellent taste that you will never regret no matter what food or dish you choose. It will put a smile on your face and make your heart happy. My eldest daughter, who works and lives in Toronto, also misses Korean food, so she goes to work in Calgary. It's such a delicious house that people say they want to move to.haha

Ah. The fact that 7 new side dishes are served every day is Han Korea's unique good service. When you feel bad and lose your appetite, just go to Han Korea and eat rice and side dishes to energize your body and revive your appetite. Of course. I leave my parents and feel lonely.
I think that for young people living in Korea, Korean food may be the only Korean restaurant in Calgary where they can feel the taste and love of their mother. ^^

If you are looking for authentic korean food, visit this one, and I'm sure you are going back for more.

VERY DISAPPOINTING! THEY DON’T ACCEPT RESERVATION BY PHONE SO WE CAME IN. WE ARE PARTY OF 9. WHEN WE ARRIVE 1 TABLE IS VACANT AND BUT THE SERVER GAVE IT TO THE OTHER CUSTOMER WHO CAME AFTER ME! WE WAITED THEN AFTER A FEW MINUTES TWO TABLE WAS VACANT THEN ANOTHER ONE SO THATS GOOD FOR 6 PEOPLE, I WAS EXPECTING THAT ITS FOR US BECAUSE NO OTHER CUSTOMER WAS THERE DURING THAT TIME. AFTER 15-20 MINUTES CUSTOMER CAME BUT INSTEAD OF SAVING AND PREPARING THE TABLE FOR US THE SERVER GAVE THOSE TABLE TO OTHER CUSTOMERS! HE SHOULD SAVE THOSE SEATS SO HE CAN HAVE 9 SEATS! TRAIN YOUR SERVER PROPERLY! I OWN A RESTAURANT HERE IN CALGARY TOO AND WHAT YOU DID WAS NOT ACCEPTABLE!

Hello! I tried it while traveling on the recommendation of a teacher from Bundang Central Church, and it was so delicious and hearty! It was a restaurant, so the waiting time was long, but it was worth the wait! I will definitely come again next time ^^

There were the four of us - everyone loved all the dishes. The soups were delicious, simple but tasty. The beansprout soup had the right amount of saltiness, and anchovy flavor. I ordered the tofu soup without meat (vegetarian) and it was super delicious. The waitress was very attentive and the service was great overall. The wait was reasonable for four people (Tuesday evening), around 25-35min wait.

My favorite Korean restaurant in Calgary. You can make reservations but they will give your table away even if you're on time - but the food is worth the wait! I love the seafood pancake and their grilled plates, but their soup seems to be the general crowd pleaser whenever I go.

We’re exploring more restau in south area. Han corea is a small restau but many people dine in because the food is great! We ordered sundubu jjiggae and bulgogi and the side dishes were so good too!

The sundae smelled a bit, but I just ate it. I had to spend a very terrible night.there is no going back

We ate dinner at a restaurant and took another meal home 30 minutes away. I vomited up the dinner I ate 4 hours late that day, ate the packaged food without a doubt and checked the contents again. What surprised me even more was seeing mold in fermented foods. I am quite displeased that this has happened to Korean music poetry. One thing I checked my schedule and couldn't find anything out of the ordinary.
It's your choice to go there, but I want to say that I have reasonable doubts of 50 years house wife.

Why do you say malicious?
Two weeks ago, my party and I ate jangjangtang and pork soup and sundae jokbal. Do you have many enemies?
I thought I would at least apologize.

Waitlist may be long at times, but it is definitely worth the wait. If you truly want authentic Korean food, make Han Corea your go-to!

I ordered pork soup and sundae soup.
The pork was delicious, but the sundae smelled bad.
Take out the sundae and discard it. It was a pity.
You were kind and everything was good, but I'm sorry for the sundae.

Excellent staff and food. Went there with my friends and had an amazing time. I can see why they are incredibly busy. Can’t wait to come back.

Nice little restaurant! There was a small wait to get our table but once we ordered, the food was prepared quickly. Fast service and great quality as well.

Very authentic Korean food. The wait can get long but they also recommended going to Busan, saying the menu was the same. But we were willing to wait 45 mins to get in.
Food was very good but we probably got unlucky since they made a mistake and gave us the wrong food. And another table beside us also had the same issue. But the owner/manager was very nice and quickly corrected amy problem

The staff is so friendly and most importantly, the food is so delicious. Pork soup and sundaeguk were all delicious, and the side dishes were neat and good. Become more prosperous!

As usual, this place is quite popular that there is a waiting to be seated. Today’s small dishes were great that I wanted to post. The price is quite reasonable (cheaper) compared to what you get.

My work colleague decided for a random dinner plan. This place was suggested by one of the coworkers to us. Not so sure what to try we still thought to take a chance and went to this place without giving a second thought. It was surprising for me that this place has a very small dine in setup. We were lucky enough that we got the seats as after us people were in waiting for a while.

We ordered Seafood Pancake, Spicy Chicken and Jjukkumi Cheolpan Bokkeum Large serving with rice, sides and soup. We requested the main course first as it takes time for it to be cooked as it’s done on the table by yourself. It was a completely different experience for us. The food was cooking and so we all were waiting and chit chatting. I would say definitely the wait was worth it. The food tasted scrumptious. Kimchi was delicious. Unlimited refills were there for the sides.

Seafood pancake tasted good, Spicy Chicken was really good and Jjukkumi Cheolpan Bokkeum was the star of the day. It was so delicious. We finished everything though we all were feeling so full as the food tasted so good, no one could stop eating.

This place is highly recommended to go with family and friends who love seafood or wants to try something from there cuisine. Overall an excellent experience.

One of my favourite hole-in-the-wall restaurants in Calgary! Definitely love the warm atmosphere and food felt so homecooked. We got the Jjukkumi Cheolpan Bokkeum (stir fried baby octopus, sweet potato noodles, rice cakes and veggies with a side of delicious egg soup) to share with 3 people and we got great value out of it!

I love the food and I am for sure know it’s authentic as I heard. But the atmosphere and customer service is just so frustrating. They let the customer who I put behind my name in first. The girl is also just always annoyed with everyone and they are not friendly. When I went to the washroom, the lock doesn’t work and when an employee saw me inside, they turn off the washroom light without me touching it. In the bill, they just put a 15% tip just because we are more than 8 people in which I never had a problem to begin with and it’s always my choice to pay tip. If it weren’t for the good, I would never come. I was so excited coming in but it didn’t make me happy anymore. I’m not coming back anymore

The location is a bit out of the way, so there is no need to squeeze the parking lot. It's a very small restaurant with only a few tables, and the environment is good. We call it hot soup and cold noodles, both taste good and the price is acceptable.

All the food tastes really good, seafood pancake is so rich of seafood and crispy outside, the soup is a little spicy and pork really big and soft, so many different side can ate!
