I thought the experience was good. My dress was altered a bit tighter than it needed to be and maybe needed to be hemmed higher.
Pricing was quite high and communication wasn’t the best/didn’t really know when it was done or ready for pick up.

She fixed my brother unchkin for his wedding we bought from over seas. We came to Hana because of the reviews! His outfit had heavy embroidery and she was able to do her magic and his outfit looked AMAZING!

I went in to see Hanna for some alterations on my custom made wedding dress. I wasn't happy with the original seamstress and was hoping Hanna could fix some things up to help make it better. Hanna offered different options as to what could be done but she was very honest and said I should try and get my money back from the original dressmaker as the work was subpar and that is why it wasn't fitting properly. Thanks to her honesty I found my dream dress OFF THE RACK 2 months before my wedding and when I brought it to her to alter she said "Million times better" and worked her magic on the alterations so that it doesn't even look like the dress was altered! What started out as a nightmare turned into a fantastic experience and Hanna was my wedding dress savior! I can't say enough about what a great job she did and how much I appreciated her honesty.it led me to my dream dress and I can't wait to wear it in 11 days Thank you Hanna. Hanna was amazing. I told her what I was wanting in a swimsuit cover up and she drew it up, made it, and it was exactly what I wanted. I would highly recommend Hanna.

Went there for Cosplay alterations. The lady there was helpful and asked questions about what I wanted and why (mixed with a bit of perplexed looks lol). Things get busy for her during grad season due to the high quality work. Worth the trip and reasonable prices.

Hanna did a fabulous job on my expensive leather coat. I needed it taken in, as I had lost a lot of weight and it was 2 sizes too big. I came in with the coat and she had me try it on, she pinned it up in a few places and said there were other areas to take in, and not to worry, she knew what to do. She certainly did. When I picked it up it was like getting new coat that was now a custom fit! I would recommend her to anyone who needs alterations etc. I had used Hanna in the past, but not for something like this and in leather as well. The price was well worth it, as without Hanna, my coat would be useless to me, not it is now back to my #1 coat. Thanks Hanna

I've been to Hanna, so many times over the years. She's made me cushion covers, altered my daughter's grad dress and has done many different clothing alterations for me. I think Hanna is reliable and very talented, I highly recommend her.

Came in to get my jeans hemmed very disappointed in the work. I wish I was asked if I wanted to keep original hem. The owner did not ask any questions to let me know I had different options and did not make a very good impression on a new customer. Picked up my jeans and the stitch work doesn’t look straight. Stitch lines are also not very thick looks cheap. Came here based off the reviews but am left very disappointed. No resolution besides next time I come back to specify what I need. I know it’s my own fault for not being specific, but I did not know there were different techniques when it comes to tailoring. I feel as a professional tailor they should give us some information on how things are done and recommend what would look best instead of not saying much and having us just pay for the bare minimum.

I went here to get alterations done on pants that were too tight around the waist and the person helping me refused even to see me try on the pants to see what needed to be done. She outright said that she couldn't do it, and was very confrontational in how she spoke to me. The most bizarre experience. The next week, I went to a different business who was able to do what I asked for and who were much more polite.

I caught Hanna last second while she was leaving for the day but she still reopened the door to discuss with me for my alternation. It was a Burton AK snow pants ($500) that looks complicated which I need to shrink the waist by 3 inches. Picked it up after 2 weeks and it fit nicely and the work look professionally done! Tried on the slope last weekend and it worked great and the alternation held pretty strong! Recommended her work!

I had get both my bridesmaids dress for my friends wedding and my own wedding dress hemmed as I am a fairly short. Hanna did an absolutely amazing job. The lace on my dress had to be taken off and reapplied and it looked like like nothing had changed except that the skirt was shorter. Highly recommend!

Took a bridesmaid dress to Hanna’s after I had tried to bring this dress to another alteration place (place that had altered my wedding dress). The other place told me there is nothing they could do to help me as it was a “manufacture issue”. I called Hanna in tears and she told me to bring the dress in and she would help me out. Hanna removed the zipper and replaced it with a brand new one, making the dress now lay nicely. I was so happy with how it turned out and am now excited to wear this dress! From now on out I will only be using Hanna for all my alterations! She is AMAZING and so kind:)

Hannah helped me in a fashion 911 situation! My bridal shower was on the Friday and it was Monday. In a quick 15 minute stop, Hannah made all my worries go away by perfectly altering my dress for a fantastic price.

I bought a wedding dress that was SEVERAL sizes larger than my own and Hannah did an amazing job altering it for me. I had to buy the sample size because I would not have received my specific size in time for the wedding (long story, dresses take much longer to order than I thought). The dress had tons of beading and lace and I knew it would be difficult to alter.
Hannah did an absolutely amazing job and everything was ready exactly when she said it would be. Even better, the cost was very reasonable. The dress fit me perfectly and made my special day even more special. I recommend Hannah to anyone for their wedding dress alterations. She is lovely to work with and is very skilled.

Hannah was fantastic. She did last minute alterations on my dress and even went the extra mile of meeting me outside her usual business hours. She made sure everything was to my liking and did a great job. Definitely recommend to any busy bride to be.

I went in this afternoon shorty after 1pm when they opened (August 15th). I bought a pair of black high waisted shorts in a size 6 at Marshall’s as they didn’t have a size 4. They were a little loose as I am a size 4 and a size 26 in jeans.
I younger girl came out from the back and I told her I needed to take in the shorts a little as they are a size 6 and I am a size 4. She said you’re a size 4? I said yes. Then she said I think you’re bigger than that. I said oh wow. Ok. I was taken back. I said no, I am a size 4 and she goes “ no, I think you’re a small 6 at least”.
She said to go put on the shorts. As I was zipping up the shorts, she already asked behind the curtain if I was done.
I came out and she said the shorts are fine. Then she said well if I was to take them in then I would have to get rid of one belt loop and so on. At that point I have had enough and just said ok, i will just leave them be.
I left the store choked as I couldn’t believe how unprofessional this girl was and to tell me how big she thinks I was.

I was in here before taking in a dress I bought and I dealt with the owner I believe. It was a blonde older woman who made me pay for it right away before the dress was even done which I found odd, as I have taken in stuff at other places before and only had to pay when I came to pick up the item. I didn’t think it was a big deal, but the owner herself was not nice at all. I am not even sure why I came back here. I think because it’s close to where we live now but next time, I will drive the 25 minutes and see someone who ha much better manners.

My best friend is on her way to get married and needed her dress altered in a pinch! Hanna did amazing, she made the dress fit perfectly for what was needed and Hanna will forever be a huge part of that special day. In the future, Hanna’s will be my first stop for any alterations. Her prices are fair and her work is above excellence!

Hanna was my life saver. I came in to get my dress altered, that I had purchased online. On top of that I gave Hanna only 3 days to fix it (I felt horrible). I brought my wedding dress to her and needed a lot to be fixed and changed on it. When I went there I didn't really have a vision for it, but she was able to look at the dress on me and come up with ways on how to change it and make it better suit my body. Went back today to try it on and it was perfect! She did an absolutely amazing job, and made everything so easy for me because she just took care of everything, making this one less thing to worry about for my wedding. Amazing high quality work coupled with great pricing, I would recommend this seamstress to anyone! Will definitely be returning!

Hannah did an amazing job with altering my dress. I was on a crunch time frame and she was super busy but squeezed me in to get my dress done in less than a week. My dress was way too big and she did an amazing job it fits me perfectly now. Highly recommend getting your alterations done here!

What a money grab! I called and dropped by to get a bridesmaid dress hemmed. The owner saw me and said the hemmed will cost $ 95. I spent $60 for the duty of this dress as my friend ordered it from the US. After the owner cut the length of the dress, it actually looks done already. I should have dont that at home. I apologized and said i will pay for her cutting job which less than 5 mins. Thought maybe cost 20 to 30 bucks. She charged me $42 for that. At stitch it only charges $30 for a complete cut and hemmed dress. Will never go back.

Half a star, my wife took her dress for hemming and small works for a total of $168, but we cancelled the rest of the work and just shorten the dress. The price for shorten the dress was for $100, but she give us only $40 refund. It is not about the extra $28, but the principals. Zero customer services.

Hanna works miracles. I came in with my wedding dress that had a ton of beadwork and details. I needed it taken in in the bust and let out in the hip. I was so nervous that it wasn't going to work but Hanna made it happen. Would absolutely recommend going to her, she can do anything.

Hanna gave me personal recommendations for my wedding dress specific to my needs. By the end of my consultation I left my dress with her knowing it was in the best hands and I felt like I just left a visit from an old friend. She does amazing work! I gave her two garments, a blazer and a dress far to big for me. The dress is silky Ralph Lauren and had to be totally reconstructed to fit me perfectly, and now does! The blazer was also heavily altered and now sits as perfect as I wished! Would absolutely recommend to anyone that needs alterations!

I brought two new leather jackets to Hanna after reading other positive reviews of her work. I was a little apprehensive because these jackets were expensive. Right away Hanna was friendly, professional and genuine. She measured me up, I left the jackets and in a short few days I returned to pick them up. I was almost speechless when I put them on. Hanna's alterations has given me confidence because now both jackets fits me perfectly. I have already returned with some shirts for her to work on.

If I could rate it more than 5 stars I could. I needed work on an expensive garment that not every alterations place could do. After searching for best alterations in Calgary, I had stumbled across Hannah’s store. I’m sure everyone knows the stress of going to a new alterations place but I took the chance anyways. Hanna altered my daughters wedding dress that was a few sizes too big. I would highly recommend using Hanna! I've gone to Hanna's several times and she's always done an amazing job! Whether it's been taking in thick jeans at the waist, skirts, tailored blazers, a bridesmaid dress she's done a variety of work that has come out perfect. I appreciate her honestly when it comes to what would look good and keeping the integrity of the garment the same with some of the bigger alterations that had to be taken in quite a bit. Hanna tailored my leather motorcycle jacket. The fit was not right and she fixed it perfectly. You cannot tell that the coat was altered. She was courteous and her skill is amazing.

I needed some work clothing altered and I ended up coming to this business, which was further than some other places because of the great reviews she had. Sure enough, she did not disappoint. She greeted me with a smile and did exactly if not better what I wanted done. My clothing was ready before the date we had agreed on and it was actually really affordable compared to other places. We had a rush job on a Grad dress that we had purchased 2nd hand. We are so grateful that Hanna was able to fit us in and let the dress out so it fit perfectly!

If you have white clothes that you want to get altered/hemmed, don't get it done here. When I got back my hemmed t-shirt, I found some stains that weren't there in the first place and it hard to get it off.

Hanna hemmed 3 pairs of pants for me and did a fantastic job! She did exactly what I asked and did it within a reasonable amount of time. Hanna is absolutely wonderful! A magician with needle and thread! I asked Hanna to make me 2 new swimsuits, using my old favorite-favorite swimsuit as a sample (I looked everywhere for a replacement - but nothing ever comes close to your favorite-favorite, right? !). I first found out about Hanna from her stellar reviews, and she has never disappointed. I have brought numerous dresses to Hanna for a variety of alterations: hemming, taking in, adding darts, even changing a neckline. Each time, her work was beautifully done and at a very reasonable price. I will continue to take all my alterations to her. I'm not sure if she does any custom dress-making services, but I sure plan on asking!

I took my soft leather jacket in with a very large tear along the back seam, Hanna did an amazing repair on it. I almost don't believe it was damaged in the first place! I would highly recommend Hanna's for any leather jacket repair you need.

With the stock in the stores being minimal these days, I had to purchase a dress that didn't quite fit for a wedding. Hanna not only altered it for a perfect fit, she was also able to add a sexy slit to make it the perfect dress! Highly recommend! Pricing is also very reasonable.

Took my daughters wedding dress in to be altered. Quoted one price - charged another. Dress not ready on time and one side was different to the other. Hannah was very indifferent about did fix it. Certainly not the professional job I expected. Be very careful to get the price in writing

She did a great job altering my wedding dress but the price we agreed on was different when I picked up my wedding dress. It was hundred bucks more. If you're on a budget but really need a great seamstress go to Hanna's but put everything in writing when you give your downpayment. Make her write a breakdown of what the actual cost will be. That's the reason why I gave 2 stars. I wasn't happy with that. But with her work, she's really good.

AMAZING! Hanna saved my wedding dress. It came in from the Bridal Centre too small and I had been to 3 other places before her. 2 places said it was fine that it was too tight. Another lady told me there was nothing she could do and I needed to lose weight. Hanna was the ONLY seamstress who even thought that there was something off with the dress. She noticed the top was too long (because I'm 5'3" and the dress is made for someone taller) and that it was sitting on my hips. She cut out material in the middle of my dress and sewed the intricate flower design on to the body of the dress (it's hard to explain but it looks a thousand times better than the original dress). She then sat and the floor and cut the dress with me there. HIGHLY recommend this place for all your alterations:)

I took two suits and a winter jacket to be altered. The work was done' on time and was perfect. I will be taking my next alterations to Hannah.

I have been a customer of Hannah's for almost two years now. Her and her assistants are extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
I brought in a couple pieces in the summer and they had it finished before the date they told me. And at a price less than other alteration places would charge.

I dropped off an article to let the sides out and was told two weeks. When I attempted to pick up my alteration, Hanna told me she had no time and will start on it ASAP. I returned 4 weeks later and was told again, no time but she will start on it immediately. After waiting 6 weeks, I just took my article back. Funny, she has lots of time to stand outside her shop and smoke all day though. I do not recommend

I bought several pants and took them to Hanna to get them hemmed and get them fixed from the inseam since 2 of them were wider from the bottom then I would have liked. She did a wonderful job! The work on the pants is very professional and they look like as if they came from the factory like this. I’ll definitely be going back with her whenever I need anything tailored! Thank you Hanna
