My wife had an appointment at 5: 10, she was waiting outside in the rain, she was getting wet and no response from Kelsey. At 5: 40 my wife decided to leave, this was so disrespectful and the worst part is that she decided to charge a no show fee after she waited for 30 min and left. My wife called Kelsey and didnt even bother to offer an apology, it took a month to get a refund.

The best waxer around! I moved away and failed to find someone as good as her, I even came back while visiting family in town! You don’t regret choosing kelsey, she does excellent work and goes above and beyond anyone else!

I showed up at 2: 45 to my 2: 50 appointment that I confirmed the day before. I walked up the stairs and saw the sign saying to check in on Vagaro and wait in your car so I did.
20 minutes pass and I haven't heard anything.
Some guy in a car ripped into the parking lot and went up to her office, they got into a big argument and were yelling nasty things back and forth, he got back in his car and peeled out of the parking lot and she went back into her shop.
At 3: 20 I text her asking if she's running late and I never got a response so I waited a bit more but almost a full hour after my appointment was supposed to start I just left.
Incredibly disappointed

Kelsey was professional and made me feel comfortable. Kelsey uses hard wax it hurts way less than soft wax. I will definitely be a regular client.

By far the best waxing experience I’ve had in my entire life. I have very fine blonde hair and Kelsey’s attention to detail, and skill is outstanding. You cannot find a better esthetician in the entire city. You will not regret going here! Miles better service and customer care than any chain store like Buff Wax Spot.

Long review below but quite a crummy experience:

This was a really odd experience. I’ll preface this by saying that I have heard great things about Kelsey’s work. Apparently, she’s talented and does a great job – I just didn’t get the opportunity to experience it. It was a bit difficult to book the appointment initially. To schedule, I had to create an online profile that I didn’t necessarily want. I contacted Kelsey via email and rec’d a response directing me to call another individual. I left a voicemail and found I had to call back a couple of times before I rec’d a response.

I booked an appt.for 4: 45 pm. I arrived around 4: 35 and made my way up to the 14th floor (the individual at the info booth on the main floor of the Edmonton Place Building was nice and helpful!) The 14th floor was empty and most of the doors were closed with lights off. I recognize that it was after government office work hours but there were at least 20 different doors without signage, and I really wasn’t sure where I was going. I walked around for a bit and found a door with lights on. When I knocked, Kelsey opened the door wide enough for me to see there was someone else on the waxing table without clothes on (no pants). I probably should have left right away, as that would have made me uncomfortable if I was the one on the table with the door open wide. Kelsey directed me back to the waiting area and said she would be with me next. I ended up waiting another 15-20 minutes (30 mins after my appt.time). Again, I likely should have just left earlier but I really wanted my legs waxed for an event on the weekend!

As I was getting into the elevator to leave, Kelsey came out. I said I was leaving as my appt.was 30+ mins ago. There was no acknowledgment of the delay, no apology or any solutions offered. This was just super frustrating. I booked the appt.and really wanted it, given the reviews re: Kelsey’s skill, but the unprofessional conduct really turned me off.

Kelsey is a great service provider. She made me feel comfortable, she is punctual and very professional. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for waxing services in Edmonton. Thanks Kelsey!

Kelsey is amazing at her work! I got a Brazilian before a trip to Jamaica and it lasted for 8 weeks, with no touch ups needed. I lost her contact info, but was happy to find her again for an underarm waxing. It was also very well done, compared to other places. Absolutely would recommend her services for anyone who needs any hair removed. She’s also super nice and makes what can’t be an uncomfortable situation so much better.

Tried to use the online website which for some reason when I tried to confirm my booking would freeze and lock me out. When I reached out my Facebook they gave me a number to text to book in. Number just stopped answering so I could never book in.

I was a first timer. Kelsey made me feel comfortable and helped subside the anxiety. She's gentle, kind, and incredibly efficient. Not to mention a delight to talk to. I look forward to a future visit. Thanks Kelsey!

I cannot say enough good about Kelsey and her shop! I had been going to her for a couple of months before covid hit and I will definitely be going to see her when allowed to reopen.

Her shop is very private, welcoming and comfortable. I have personally watched her disinfect all surfaces between appointments and watched as she uses a new applicator for every application of wax. Never, ever, EVER does she put a used applicator stick back into the clean wax pot.

Additionally she makes the whole process which can be very personal (Brazillian wax in particular) comfortable and non-threatening. Her bubbly personality and sweet dog takes your mind off of what is really going on. As a fellow person with an invisible disability I truly appreciate having that furry support animal present! Which, by the way, is approved to be there and is clean. The dog literally lays on its bed in the corner and gets no where near the wax pots or where the business happens.

I won't ever go anywhere else and I have recommended Kelsey to all of my friends! Five stars all the way!

I have been a client of Kelsey's for 4 years. Her personality is so refreshing and she really makes you feel at ease even when things might not be super comfortable. Her space is impeccable, her product is amazing and her sanitization methods are top notch. She also carries great affordable skincare options and is highly knowledgeable when giving helping choose a routine. I find this business of very poor quality, very poor value and not professional. From a clients perspective and from someone who takes pride in supporting local businesses, after seeing recent posts on social media (facebook) from the owner, it has been heavily shown that this person is lacking in professionalism and accountability- AND especially after reading the comments she left for some reviewers (constructive criticism) I would not be advising anyone to go to this business to support someone who is as unnerving as this woman. ANY business owner who thinks sharing these things online without repercussions is foolish.

She is the perfect representation of someone who should not own a business and should not be providing the public with services.

Please do not use this business - we do not need to be supporting people that think their behavior is acceptable. Support local businesses that are ran by people who have some common sense, especially in the times we are facing right now!

I've been going here for a few years now and this amazing business was my first and is my forever place to go for a good quality waxing! I love Kelsey, she is very humble and just an over all loving human being. She really makes you feel comfortable and puts things at ease (especially if its your first time!) My most favourite thing about Kelsey is that she treats you like a friend and really cares for the human body! She even gives out amazing educational tips for skin care and carries great products as well! Kelsey is amazing and her other employees are trained by her and are up to "Kelsey Standard" so whoever you get, even if it is not Kelsey, you're still in great hands (I had Jessi before but she moved provinces)! Oh and to add, this place is always zen, clean and smells amazing inside! I would also like to mention that Kelsey's dogs, Brie (may she rest in paradise) and Mavi are literally the most well behaved dogs I have ever met and they are just an overall joy! Give this place a try, you will NOT regret it!

Kelsey was extremely unprofessional and disorganized. After being in the waiting room for 45 minutes past my appointment I sat there listening to her laughing and chatting in the other room, I wasn’t acknowledged or even greeted. As soon as I left Kelsey texted me asking if I wanted to reschedule and after saying no thank-you she responded with “you’re not a client I would want anyways” and to “go to the second best place in the city”. I understand things get in the way, but I wasted time and gas to see her. A text or phone call would have been nice. I would not recommend this place to anyone whatsoever.

Amazing service. Great attention to detail. Superior quality of work and products used. I ended up switching as I have been increasingly disappointed with the previous waxing studio I had been going to noticing a decrease in attention/detail and unfortunately much discomfort. The best Brazilian waxing studio I have ever been to! They use all hard wax which makes it much less painful. I’ve been going to Kelsey the owner since I was pregnant two and a half years ago and I won’t go anywhere else. I will be traveling four and a half hours to get my Brazilian waxes done with happy beaver. She is such a perfectionist and leaves nothing behind. I could never keep up with consistently getting waxed until I found Kelsey. Her relaxed approach really put me at ease, her knowledge made me secure because she obviously not only knows what she is doing but also knows her product. Normally you're dreading the discomfort of getting waxed but her technique and personality have you laughing the entire time. I'd recommend a hundred times over again.
