Harvest has been our favorite place in Canmore to enjoy gluten free lunch options for many years, even though it's changed hands they still continue to provide delicious home cooked and gluten free options! Thanks harvest!
As a repeat customer this will always be my favourite cafe in Canmore. I don’t live anywhere close to Canmore as I’m from Manitoba but every time I’m passing through this is a must for breakfast - brunch. I highly recommend the beatnik wrap it is so yummy we had to go back the next day and order more. The seating and atmosphere is a little bit stiff and not very comfy for a long term stay but still worth visiting as the menu is very broad with a large variety.
Everything was excellent. We had the veggie chile and house salad and Cuban panini. Too bad we only found this place the last day of our vacation. Highly recommended!
Too loud, barista bangs all the equipment very loudly. Wraps are not the same as before. Cheese wasn't melted, bacon wasn't hot, doesn't come with a side or salsa or sour cream anyone. We had 2 wraps and 2 cappuccinos, and it cost $45! Not enjoying the new ownership.
Cute cafe that offers some Vegan / Vegetarian sandwich options. $12 for a sandwich, no sides which seemed a little overpriced, but I guess that is because it is Canmore & cost of Canadian inflation.
Look, I try to be as fair as possible, and when it comes to locally owned businesses / non-franchises, I try to "round up" in my reviews, look for positives, and be as favourable as a I can.
While still being honest.
First time here in April 2023, unlikely I'll be back.
I ordered the chicken and brie wrap, and unfortunately, it was terrible. The chicken was so overcooked, it wasn't just dry, it was tough. Additionally, the chicken was incredibly bland; it's like they didn't use any seasoning. At all. You'd think between the Brie, pear, cranberry, and mayo the wrap would be bursting with flavour. It really had very little flavour. When you add in poorly prepared chicken, it was likely the worst wrap I have ever had, sorry to say. ; (
The 2 girls running the front counter were very nice and pleasant to order from. The one star is for them.
I'm allergic to gluten, egg and dairy, so breakfast is really hard for me to find good restaurants while travelling. I had a gluten free wrap with vegan egg and cheese. It tasted good and the tortilla stayed together, but it was $20 total for all the substitutions with a tea.
Got two wraps, the cowboy and the holy mole. Holy Mole was bland and didn't have any reminiscence of mole at all unfortunately. The cowboy was satisfying however. Got a simple cup of coffee, which was cold. Also got a matcha latte which was unfortunately also extremely bland and did not have nearly enough matcha powder in it so it just tasted like steamed milk and vanilla. The barista did not seem happy to replace my drink with a latte, however the shot of espresso was overextracted leaving an unpleasant woody taste in the mouth. Not the greatest experience, and I probably wouldn't go back
First time visiting harvest this week and I loved it! I had heard great things about the cafe prior to visiting Canmore and the experience did not disappoint. I had a wrap and the vegan chilli and they were both so flavourful, filling and warm! Loved the atmosphere and energy of the cafe as well. Can't wait to go back for more:)
Anyone that has to advertise they are Alphabet cult friendly shows what and who they really are. Just serve the food, not your phony activism & condescension
I appreciated the warmth of service at the till and the clearly labelled vegan options, of which there are many! Vegan items include warm wraps, desserts, and take-away samosa and treats like energy and power balls. There were several plant-based milks for coffees and espresso beverages, too! There is an up charge to use vegan egg to convert other menu items.
The special summer patio was large and cosy, with picturesque views of the town of Canmore nestled right in the Rocky Mountains.
I’m editing this to add that the food was fresh and delicious, the drip coffee and iced coffees were very good tasting, and the vegan samosa (not pictured) is delightful in mouthfeel and taste!
The food was pretty good - our group ordered the Mexican Grilled Wrap, Viva Las Vegan Grilled Wrap, Curry Chicken Grilled Wrap, Cuban Panini, and Grilled Cheese. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The Chai latte was pretty bland, and it did take a little bit of time to get the food.
The Harvest Cafe has an amazing atmosphere, it's a very cozy little cafe, I have nothing bad to say about the cafe the food was great and the coffee was delicious the only thing I noticed was there is no iced coffee options on the menu. But if your looking for a nice hot coffee in the mountains I highly recommend the Harvest Cafe
They are very rude. We were at their door 15 minutes prior to the closing time, but upon seeing us, they come out and closed the gate. The behaviour was too bad.
Pretty disappointed in this experience. I got the vegan wrap and it was watery, had extremely plain tofu, and was not worth the $18 I paid. I also asked if they would ice the tea I would like and they said no, which I feel like isn't a crazy request. Not worth the visit in my opinion.
This small cafe is an order at the counter and seat yourself place. The small space would fill up quickly at peak times. It has cute touches like Jade plants on each table.
They offer a lot of specials besides the menu and a selection of baked goods.
We had the pulled pork stew which came out nice and hot, and a chicken Caesar wrap which had big pieces of chicken.
My favorite lunch spot in Canmore. Excellent service. Gluten free wraps, great soups, family friendly. They also make fantastic lattes. Recommend this spot for sure.
The food here is so delicious. Tried multiple wraps and soups and was super happy with all of them. They accomodate many dietary needs, but their gluten free options are fantastic and as a celiac I didn't get sick from eating here. The staff are all really friendly too!
So many delicious vegan options! Date squares, pastries and vegan egg breakfast wraps! The latte was amazing:) Great staff and lovely atmosphere definitely recommend!
Waited 40min for the food to arrive. I know they're short staffed but guests that came after us got their food before us. Once we did get our food, I found a pet hair baked into the eggs (it was small so either cat or dog). It's a cute space, the iced berry tea was good but yeah, there are other options in the area.
Staff were so incredible and accommodating we wanted to give them a 5 star review before we even tried the food. Good thing the food was 5 stars! Girthy breakfast wraps with an amazing and unique dill pickle hot sauce.
Honestly one of the best breakfast wraps we've both ever had.
Enjoyed our lunch today; we also ordered some sweets to go that were delicious. We had the Cuban panini and the Mediterranean chicken wrap, which didn't disappoint. Our first time here, and we look forward to coming back!
Fantastic vegan options, milk alternatives for coffee, and amazing service. Loved our breakfast here and nice to find a place that has more than 2 choices for vegan meals!
Great experience. Feels like a warm loving family hug when you're greeted. Food is delicious. We had the vegan panini and the roasted veggie wrap. Totally affordable.
Great food with reasonable prices. Hangover wrap was very good and filing. Iced chai latte was delicious. Lots of room on the patio and super friendly service.
Our first time in but certainly won't be our last. Service was friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious and fairly priced. I had the Hangover wrap and was full well before I finished. Thank you for a great breakfast!
What a gem! We went in to kill some time and ended up visiting 5 times in the 3 days we were there. They're super friendly, the food is good, bathrooms were clean and nice, but, oh, the London Fogs! Best I've ever had, even a couple hours later when I discovered a missed sip, it wasn't bitter! These miracle people are so worth a visit. Check out the hand-carved kitchen utensils made by a local artist-beautiful and very reasonably priced.
Amazing food, great prices! I had the vegetarian chilli and the cob salad. Both were incredibly delicious! The baked goods looked beautiful but I was trying to abstain.
Definitely recommend coming here if you are in Canmore! I have tried their soup/sandwich in the past and they were great. More recently, I tried the cinnamon buns, which were honestly the best I have ever had. Hands down. The staff was also very kind and down to earth. Worth supporting and keeping this local cafe in business for years to come! If I could give 10 stars I would =).
Their CARROT CAKE is the BOMB! It is very hard to find a moist, well balanced flavours and delicious tasting CC. This is the spot where you want to have the best CC.
Absolutely phenomenal food, and superb staff. If you’re looking for a great local spot for breakfast/lunch, this is definitely worth stopping by. Very impressed that nearly all the food is made in-house.
Nice little shop with charm. I am addicted to their London Fog! Great for a bite to sit down, or grab and go and enjoy your day. Features local pottery as well.
Excellent choice for great wraps, paninis and pastries. The service was excellent and their willingness to make changes on an item really made my kid’s day. A definitely go to place in canmore.
Wasnt expecting much going in yesterday, but we were really surprised in a good way. Definitely worth popping in for. The breakfast wraps are filling, really nice presentation, and awesome ingredients
Terribly disappointed with our sandwich. My daughter ordered a BLT panini to go. When she went to eat it 10 minutes later (it was too hot to eat right away) it was completely soggy. The bacon was not even cooked, no colour to it at all. We had to throw it out as we were worried about food poisoning. Waste of $10!
We were looking for a place to eat lunch this past Saturday, and checked my Yelp app. I searched and came across a place called Crazy Weed. That place was super busy, and so we went to Iron Goat. The Iron Goat was closed for a private function. My wife looked up a soup and sandwich type restaurant, and came up with Harvest. It wasn't super busy when we arrived, around 12: 20 and we ordered our lunches. Its a small place with wooden tables and chairs, with an upper and lower seating area and outdoor patio. I had the chicken curry wrap with soup (squash), my wife had the tomato and basil with the same squash soup. My son had the clubhouse, and my other son had a kids grilled cheese. The kids meal comes with a cookie and a drink. All the sandwiches and wraps are grilled on a panini press and were pretty tasty. I thought the soup was going to be creamier, but it was almost more like a broth. I ended my meal with a piece of carrot cake which was pretty tasty. This all for about $50 dollars. It's a little pricey IMO for what you get. The restaurant got busy after we sat down, and it took a while for the food to come out as well. Overall the food was tasty, but the soups were a little disappointing. Not much substance, and the it was served luke warm. *will try Crazy weed next time in town.
Will I go back? Maybe for some of the baked goods.
Cute little breakfast/lunch cafe with delicious breakfast sandwiches and great tasting coffee. I had the Miners wrap and added bacon, sooo good. My gf had the roasted veggie, she said was amazing. Everyone here is super friendly and pleasant.
We went to this place for a quick meal. I absolutely loved the salmon and my boyfriend was loving his cheese sandwich. Everything tasted really fresh. The drinks we had were really good, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Lots of locals stopped by too, which to me meant that this place is a go-to. We would love to stop by again next time we are around!
They are not coffee connoisseurs by any means, but if you want a simple hot drink and really good food, this is the to-be place. The atmosphere is incredible. This place stands out in my mind and I will definitely be back on my way through Canmore.
Love love love Harvest Cafe! They have an excellent selection of gluten free and vegan options (I've had my first gluten free breakfast wrap in who knows how long here at Harvest Cafe because they offer gluten free tortillas, which is awesome). They also have alternative milks (or as my husband calls them 'nut juice'). I recommend the Beatnik wrap.mmmm.
Best of all, they have excellent staff - shout out to Zoe for chatting with us while they were preparing our drinks and breakfast burritos. It was our first time in Canada and we fell in love with Canmore. Harvest actually opens at 8: 00 AM instead of 8: 30 AM (their website and GMB listing are outdated).
Next time we're in town I'm planning to head to Harvest Cafe with my journal and sit around for a few minutes staring at the Three Sisters (Harvest has an amazing view from their little spot, plus they have a patio).
All of the staff needs serious coffee training, ordered a flat white, girl had no idea what it was, settled for a latte and got a super foamy cauppucino? If you want a decent coffee wait til you’re done with your food and go across the street to communitea.overall staff was friendly food was filling but i don’t think i will come back
I was blown away by our delicious brunch. We came in ravenous from an early morning hike and ordered americanos, a dirty chai, the hangover wrap, chicken & brie wrap, and a cinnamon bun with icing. Honest to God it was the most delicious food I've had on this road trip. The service was fast and friendly, the food was exceptional, and the coffee was amazing. That cinnamon bun was incredible. I am going to have dreams about it. This definitely made our must stop list for all future road trips.
NO BACON AND EGGS! This "BREAKFAST" restaurant is more like a sandwich bar.the sandwich was average ok and the salad was tiny and saggy. I buy a corn muffin and was tasteless total desapointed
We make it a point to come here as our last stop on our last day in town. The food is always great, but more importantly the service is always amazing. Super friendly and a wonderful last impression of Canmore!
Take it from a local. This is one of my favorite breakfast/lunch spot in town. It's a coffee shop with actual meal items. Try any of the stews. I've Bender been disappointed.
Very hot inside. Cinnamon buns were very good. My dad was not impressed with the breakfast burrito. Generally average. You're best going elsewhere. Tea was good
Delicious! Staff was sweet. Food is real & satisfying. I had the beet salad and homemade soup of the day and they were both phenomenal! My boyfriend loves the coffee there.
The staff was so wonderful and kind. They recommended drinks that were amazing and very well priced. My partner had the chicken pesto wrap, with a green tea chai tea, and I had the hangover breakfast wrap with a peppermint tea with steamed milk and syrup. The atmosphere is gentle and very easy to relax in, even with the business of the store. We also shared an apple cinnamon bun the size of my head and had to take it home! Definitely one of my new favourites.
I’m blown away how fantastic my breakfast wrap is! I am one of those painful gluten free dairy free eaters who is always modify my food to the point of just being editable but never enjoyable. But they have plenty of GF DF options and they’re delicious! My new favourite breakfast spot! Added bonus, the staff was friendly and helpful.
