Took girlfriends car there to fix they gave us a quote and work was done and they are courteous and very helpful they go beyond to please you the customer and washed vehicle before we got it back, Thank you Guys I feel so much better knowing my Girlfriend car is fixed and safe for driving.

I have been a loyal customer for several years. I have recommended them to my family and friends and they have all been very happy with both the service and the price. These guys actually care about their customers and it shows in all aspects of how they operate.

Last year I took my car to Harvest hills auto to be fixed. After having it for a couple weeks I was told the coolant leak was fixed. Almost a year later and multiple visits back it is still not fixed. I am still topping up the coolant on a weekly basis.
My remote start stopped also working after taking it there for the first time, I mentioned this to them and they still did not fix it. Not knowing much about cars I summed it up to the car being old and it stopping due to age.

Unfortunately, almost a year later I had it looked at by someone else. They fixed the remote start in less than an hour. I was also informed that it did not look like the work I was told was done was actually done. The bolts appeared to be old, dirty and not replaced. I am pondering to myself now, what were they paid over $2,000 to do this whole time?

I took my Maserati to Harvest Hills Auto to diagnose an issue. The team there was experienced with the brand, very detailed and explained everything well while making sure to communicate at every point. Very happy with the work done and care of my vehicle while with them. The report with photos and video was a great follow up to show the work done for my records.

Absolute garbage shop. Canadian Tire does a better job than these clowns. Fixed both my turbos for 6K as "new" when they were refurbished, did not realise that until I took it to a real mechanic. Held my truck as collateral when their own Elavon payment system malfunctioned and told me there's nothing they can do. Useless. After a few weeks and the payment was resolved I had my check engine light come on 3 times and had to bring it back. Real quality job. Fast forward a year later my passenger turbo is gone again. So much for the "new" turbo.
Avoid them like covid.

I had an oil change aat Lube City which caused oil to be leaking the next day. Lube City denied any accountability for the oil leak. Chris at Harvest Hills Auto had a look and booked an appointment ASAP.
It turns out that the leak was caused by Lube City as the leak was occurring from the drain plug gasket (which the technicians at Lube City denied)
Chris did the assessment and waived the service check. You just can’t ask for better customer service!

Thank you to Harvest Hills Auto and to Chris and his team, I would trust them for being honest and reliable.

Lube City on the other hand…. That is a different review.

They are very thorough, excellent at communicating and getting information to the customer, quick at finding the problems, a tad expensive. Will update later

Wonderful service. Highly professional service. I’m a senior with arthritis and they did a great job helping me out.

Went in April 14 around 5 pm to see if they had a bulb for my day time running light that was out. The fellow at the front desk gave me the bulb for free and asked me if I needed help installing. Excellent customer service. Never used this business but I will be giving them a shot going forward.

We have been going to Harvest Hills Auto for a number of years. They are knowledgeable, friendly and honest. We have 3 vehicles that they do all the service on. Their prices are very reasonable and we highly recommend them. Do not hesitate to take your vehicle to Harvest Hills Auto.

Been here on multiple occasions…
as a german car owner, don’t come here they may be good with japanese cars.but for germans, don’t.got spark plugs there and they weren’t even put in properly, one of them had the end of it completely melted on the bottom and the top half was broken and also not proper spark plug (it says NJK and everything on it) but compared to the OEM it was half it’s size if not smaller.also got engine oil and filter replaced, and they put half the amount of engine oil required haha, not sure why they did that but yeah.anyways point it.as for the mechanics who actually work on the car itself don’t have enough knowledge and expertise for german.putting all that aside, we also did a inspection for a hyandai before buying it.they assured us everything was good and we did a tune up and engine oil change and filter, couple months later we see a sign on the dash, we take it to a different mechanic local and trusted, they told us the engine is in super bad shape and you’d need to either replace it or get it fixed for more $$$ then you’ll need to just have it replaced…. Soo that inspection, legit no point of having it done, we payed for a full tune up and what not and turns out the car was not in good shape to start with.if we had done a inspection at a place with mechanics who have deep knowledge and skill they would’ve known from the start if the car was good or bad, and we wouldn’t have spent over 17 k on a car…. Not saying that this place is completely bad, might’ve been just my luck not sure.people there are very nice though can’t lie about that.

Told me to bring the car at 8: 30am. Then they said they couldn't get to it right away. Why did I bring the car so early? I had to call them to find out if the car is done.

Brought in my 2005 Cadillac in for traction control warnings, diagnosed as passenger rear wheel speed sensor. No surprise, I'd already guessed that.

The sensor is part of the hub, so I needed an entirely new hub. OK, that's Caddy, no worries.

Except, they could not get the hub off the axle. They said the car was too old and the parts would not move after using heat / slide hammer.

Quoted over $1k for full axle / hub replacement, which was too much for a minor problem. Paid $300 and 1 day for this non-repair. Observed the techs being very diligent putting the hub back together, which I appreciate.

Picked up the car and didn't make it down the street before realizing the parking brakes were stuck in the engaged position, making it undrivable. Wasn't like that before. Went back, they said they would fix.

Next day, they said they had it fixed, though the drivers side brake might be dragging "a little". Picked up and didn't make it out of the lot since the drivers side was still obviously stuck, perhaps worse than before; the brake light wouldn't even shut off and the pedal was still obviously goofed, not sure how anyone could miss it. Still undrivable, back I went.

At this point, they said as the car was old and since they had not disassembled the driver's side hub / brakes, I would have to pay for any additional repairs. As the car was unusable, it was either that or tow it. Paid $725 and 5 days for complete parking brake rebuild (both sides) including all necessary cables.

I drive home and immediately notice that at freeway speeds, the passenger rear bearing is howling. Wasn't like that before; torching it during the failed removal obviously did not do it any favors.

I have since been told that the preferred method is to remove the axle and remove the hub / bearing using a hydraulic press. This was never mentioned and no indication this was tried.

To be fair: the car is 17 years old, stuff happens, hindsight is 20/20, the shop did make concessions that did significantly help me out (which I will not detail here since they were doing me a favor), and I did get new parking brakes that were possibly on the point of failure anyway.

Nevertheless, after $1000,1-1/2 weeks, and 3 trips, the original problem is not fixed and - if anything - worse than before. I'm lucky that I can afford the "extra" repairs, but this is not the outcome anyone would want.

These guys are nice to deal with and really are trying their best with every car. But in the future I'll be using a shop that knows how to press out a bearing.

Took off the undercarriage and put it in the backseat without any protection. Also took my rim covers and did not put back on. Zero explanation for what was wrong with my vehicle when I decided to not get the services they suggested. Do not use this business.

Yeah, I brought my sister’s car here a little while ago, I’ve had some bad experiences with some shops downtown and heard from a friend harvest hills was great.
Josh was the guy I talked to, he helped me quickly, professionally and explained what was wrong and the price was affordable. Bring your car here!

It’s hard to find a great mechanic you can trust. These guys are keepers. They were knowledgeable, thorough, timely and well priced. Highly recommended!

This is the place to go if you need car work done. Excellent customer service and they look after you right from the minute you go in there until your work is done. Despite all the good reviews on here, I can't offer up the same. While the staff may be friendly and knowledgeable, they are price gouging on labour to diagnose issues. They charged my son who is a student on a fixed income two hours of labour amounting to over $300 too diagnose some trouble lights that came on while he was driving. They didn't fix anything but still charged him the $300. Sorry but it doesn't take two hours to hook up a diagnostic tool, and fiddle around with a few things, after which they never gave him a definite answer on what the issue is. Won't return and won't recommend.

I would not recommend this place. I needed a quote for a head gasket replacement on a 2007 Civic and was told it was $4147 even though another shop quoted $1200. The quote included unnecessary work such as replacing a water pump and thermostat. When I said I wasn't interested in that, he told me he wouldn't warranty the head gasket replacement. If I didn't also replace a water pump.

These guys are scummy. For those that aren't savvy with cars they'll take you for a run!

They also decide what they want to change you in dollar value and then divide it by their shop rate of $150/hr to arrive at hours like 12.72 or 4.67 hours to resurface the head gasket - also unlikely that it actually needs to be resurfaced.

Avoid this place! I spoke to the manager on the phone and he was saying all these services were considered necessary for a head gasket replacement. Go somewhere else and save yourself thousands of dollars.

It can be a worry finding a mechanic who a) services VWs and, b) does not over charge. I am very happy to have found Harvest Hills Auto.

My entire family has done many repairs with Harvest Hills Auto, and it has become our go-to repair shop. Every time, our experience has been excellent. Sincere service, they tell you precisely what needs to be immediately repaired but never attempt to tack on unnecessary repairs to inflate the price. Great customer service, and can do diagnostic work that puts most other shops to shame.

Came to get an out of provinces inspection. Chris booked me in right a way, and got my car back in 2.5hrs. Didn't try to up sell me anything and it was $75 less than another shop that quoted me.

I was in a really tight spot on Thursday, burnt out my car battery, found out it’s a hard to install when our insurance company came to replace it, so I got a jump and drove it up to these guys. Chris was the one I dealt with and I was beyond satisfied, I had my Very pregnant wife and our 4 year old with me, desperate for a new battery in our hard to install car and instead of saying we’ll fit you in tomorrow they rushed to our aide and had it done within the hour! We are super impressed all around with this shop, they were professional, helped us in a time of need, they were speedy and did GREAT work! We have found our new go to shop!
