Eggs Benny for me, corned beef hash for the hubby, so good!
Patrons all friendly and inviting. The diner was packed but thay managed to find us a spot quite quickly.
Took home piece of berry lime pie, SO GOOD!

Went with my brother since I heard great reviews. We went there during peak sunday brunch time and it was PACKED. I sadly have to take off 1 star as we thought the egg benedict was a bit bland. But oh my gosh the pies were DELICIOUS! We will for sure come back for the pies. Hopefully we can get a slice of coconut cream pie next time since they were sold out as it was super popular. But the strawberry shortcake pie was great! Also the service was excellent as well!

Save your money and make breakfast at home. Food was very bland. Very little to no effort put into it. Small and very loud place. Services was good. But the owner (I think) was a little rude and impatient.

Excellent and friendly service. The food was fantastic and we definitely be back (: it is a cozy restaurant with a great atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Love so much, servers were very nice and gave me and my friends some free pie samples without us even having to ask. Will definitely be coming back

Great service, friendly staff, good food that is hot when it gets to your table. The pie choices are varied and all are good (my favorite is limeberry).

What a cool diner, wonderful people running it and sorry nice staff. The decor is super vintage and exciting and I had easily the best clubhouse sandwich I've had in my life. 10/10 can't wait to take everyone I know here

The staff are super friendly and professional. The menu has a great variety, with fairly large portions and arrived very quickly.

The turkey eggs Benny.damn. Had to order another because the first 2 were superb. I spoke to Mitch the owner and just told him how we enjoyed our food. He brings us over a slice or Pineapple pistachio pie. I asked for a to go box and he replies, you won't need it. Good Lord. What was in that pie? ! I am not a pie man but he converted me. And by converting me, I meant I will only eat pie from Hathaways! A MUST eat spot if you visit Edmonton.

Very enjoyable atmosphere. The food and service were great. Definitely not a greasy spoon diner. They take the food preparation, choices and service seriously. The pies were wonderful. Great neighborhood venue. Owners took the time to chat with us. We will definitely be back.

The pancakes were really undercooked and gummy as well as the hash browns were hard and not very soft. The staff never checked on us during the meal so we weren't able to make changes. Neat little place but unfortunately our meal and service wasn't very good.

Mitch the owner has to be the nicest friendiest owners and makes you feel so welcome as a family member and the food is so great always:) and being a small place its more cozy and close to home:) this is our 3rd time and always great:) but you have to come at the right time as very busy place:)

We made our way back to Hathaways after living out of Alberta for a few years. The owners had since changed hands and we met the new owner Hugh. He topped off our coffees and showed us some of his cool collectibles (in addition to the ones in the restaurant).

The food and service were excellent as always. If you are looking for a great place for breakfast or lunch Hathaways is well worth checking out.

Was such a cosy atmosphere good service from the waitress, but was lacking in quality food, pricey for what we got.

Very disappointed. Cup of soup was cold, fries were like McCain fries and the club house sandwich was rather tasteless. Will definitely not be going back there.

Today was our first time at Hathaway’s. What a great place. Good food and exceptional service. Definitely will be going back!

This is the little place you've always wanted close to home! Quaint. Amazing atmosphere. Great staff. Then there's the food. Drool worthy. The pie is ridiculous, I have never had pie so good. I heard it was award winning and I would say yes. Absolutely love this place.

So. I've been quite a few times and it seems like things are going down hill a little bit.
Took my mom for a nice brunch one day back in the winter and thought she would love it. Boy was I wrong. The service was horrible and our food was cold and potatoes in my scrambler were hard. I thought to myself and told my mom as well that they must be having an off day so I thought I would give another chance.
Then come fathers day (my dad loves breakfast) I thought I would give it another go. Ok so I get it, it's Father's day and busy BUT the owners were visibly fighting with eachother behind the bar and everyone could see. My potatoes again were as hard as a rock, took forever to even get served to begin with. My daughters French fries were so over done she wouldn't even eat them. It was just another brutal experience. It's a shame because I like the food but it seems that the owners are so busy fighting and just trying to serve as many people as possible that the quality is going down.
The people beside us as well were not happy with their order and their potatoes were hard too. All in all that's 2 very bad experiences and I'm not sure I will be going back.
To top it all off, they give you bad service, hard potatoes, burnt fries and cold food then charge you full price. My bill was almost $100.00.

The menu options were great! Was very eager to dine here for brunch and could not make up my mind on what to eat. I ended up ordering the corn beef hash skillet and a fruit loop milkshake. Yes, fruit loop milkshake. Amazing. My co-diners ordered the french toast with berries and eggs benny. Everyone cleaned their plates! I enjoyed my skillet but would have preferred the cheddar cheese over mozza, for a little sharpness. One server in particular was great, then it got busy and we had a hard time getting anybody's attention. Overall, good food. The place looks fun and retro vibe that I enjoy. Very busy!

Ordered through Uber Eats and got 2 eggs Benny and 2 pieces of pie. I erroneously ordered turkey sausage for the eggs Benny when I wanted back bacon. The turkey sausage was pretty tasty, although wouldn’t be something I would order in the Benny again. The hollandaise was sure tasty though! And the PINEAPPLE PISTACHIO PIE is out of this world delicious!

I kept hearing about how awesome this place is, my first time there so I'll likely try again, but the first impression wasn't good, tiny plane with no air conditioning, walked in to a table of screaming women, got seated, they don't have fountain drinks, and it's $3 for a single can of pop. Sat down, timed it at 22 minutes, without anyone coming to take our order, so we just left.

This place is a definite go too for an amazing breakfast. Amazing staff and service! The food is incredible and if you enjoy coffee as much as I do, let me know what you think because I thought it was great and they will gladly tell you what they use if you want to get it yourself for at home.
Prices were very good and so were the protions. We both had the eggs benedict and everything was prepared exactly how we ordered it. Everything was hot and fresh and we can’t wait to go back again.
Just an FYI, especially on the weekends, there will quite likely be a lineup out the door of people waiting to get in, which in my experience usually means only great things are coming your way. Enjoy!

It was a great choice to visit this place for all day breakfast & lunch. French onion soup was wonderful. My pouched eggs were done the way I like. There are many other choices for breakfast and I can see they all look delicious.

Great little place to eat for breakfast and lunch. Always looking for Little Jems and this is one. It’s nice to see a place that isn’t deep frying everything, potatoes done on the flat top and also their sausage and bacon, not thrown in the deep fryer like a lot of places do now. It is small and it is busy, I guess the only thing negative to say about it is they could probably get better coffee but if they did that I might have sat around longer. Maybe a bun coffee thermos. The two servers we had extremely nice, This place gives you a feeling of a nice family breakfast diner

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Edmonton. Food is absolutely delicious and fresh. I have ordered grilled Chicken burger with fries. Burger was really filling and had fresh grilled chicken breast not just random frozen patty. You must try their Pie? , coconut cream is my favourite.

Talk about a homey diner. I'm writing this before I even get to dessert. 3 staff have already checked in to make sure we enjoyed everything, including the chef during a lull. Lulls would seem to be rare.

In this little diner you can take in a 60's atmosphere. We were treated like good friends, welcomed and served the house best. Everyone cared about our preferences, and were willing to joke and make suggestions to improve our visit.

I had the Beef Dip, my own personal touchstone to see if a restaurant cares. No gristly and fatty meat here. Each tender slice of beef was a joy to devour. The bread could have been slightly toastier, but that is a non issue when dunking it into their fantastic au jus.

My dinner companion had the liver and onions and she raved. She regularly hates liver and onions when eating out, but she found hers tender and delicious. The treatment of their veggies on the plate was also delicate and delightful.

We had the apple pie for dessert, and it looks amazing. Come eat here.

Absolutely amazing service and food here. The staff really make sure you feel at home and have everything you need! They even brought a sample of their homemade coconut cream pie which was absolutely to die for! It's a little hole in the wall mom and pop shop but you won't regret coming here! Can't say enough good things about this place. Try the beef dip!

A little wait that was worth every minute. Service was amazing, staff were very friendly and the owner blew my mind with his kindness. A driver came in to pick up an order and he thanked him for delivering, wished him well and kindly reminded him to drive safe. I can’t say enough good about the experience. The food was incredible and it was so fast. We ordered and in under five minutes we had food on the table. Will be back during future day trips to Edmonton.

On a whim, I asked my partner to search for best eggs Benedict in Edmonton. Hathaway came to the top of the search results.
We had the traditional, veggie and smoked meat eggs Benny and were not disappointed. The level of quality and balance in the flavor profile on these was phenomenal. Would recommend to anyone looking for a solid breakfast/brunch meal to check it out.

Been a few years since we were here.new owners but same great food. Fantastic service here. This little gem is nicely tucked away and worth the effort to get to. 5/5 for service, meal and dessert! Thanks and cheers!

I love diners! If you love heading out for breakfast with loved ones then this is a diner that won’t disappoint. Everyone was inviting and the food was amazing. I wish I had room for one of the delicious looking pies they had on display but I will save that for the next time. I can’t wait to eat here again!

Great Brunch everytime! The hash browns are great: 9 The new owners are just as friendly as ever! Plus some great new merch, hopefully they get some more of these bucket hats since this was the last one! But there are snapbacks and shirts!
