One of the top Indian restaurants in Alberta is renowned for its exceptional Chole Bhature, a dish loved by many. This place stands out as a go-to spot for delicious Indian cuisine in the entire province.

First time came to this restaurant,
Not impressed at all. Starters was good, main course was average. The restaurant is good according to Canadian perspective but not even close to Indian taste. Spend 200$ but not worth it. If you want to try Indian food go to New Asian village, All india restaurant. They have minimal prices but food taste way better than this restaurant.

I was attending my friend’s dinner party here and my friend informed them already about number of persons and required tables but they gave us only one table. On our request, manager commented, “Usually 10 people fits here, I don’t know why you can’t sit here. ” Nobody should expect this customer service from a restaurant manager.

This was a perfect example of worst customer service. I am not sure if this is a new management or not.
Let’s talk about food now, we ordered 5 appetizers (stuffed mushrooms, tandoori champ, honey chilli cauliflower, Shashlik Paneer and Paneer 65).
Except Paneer 65 and Shashlik Paneer, everything was overcooked and tasteless.
For Main-course, Palak Paneer - Over Salty, Paneer Bhurji - bland and Methi Malai Soya - bitter in taste.
I ordered Ice Cream for my kid and server got that after 30 mins.
Genuine question: - Do you think that customer is coming for worst food and customer service? Restaurant Manager was so rude.

Only 1 server was polite and helpful who got items for us and he was a nice and Hindi speaking boy.

Great service! The best buffet ever. Staff is so accommodating and efficient. Will definitely visit again on my Edmonton trips.

Me and my friends went for dinner there was a guy standing on the front was so unwelcoming. The chairs were not even clean. We ordered veg momos it was not even stuffed. We ordered raita it was too salty. I would not even give them 1 star.

Do not deserve such high ratings.
Food - soya chaap and noodles were ok but malai kofta, karahi paneer and naan

I went today for dine in with my friend. I liked the food. Taste of food was really delicious. If i m talking about the atmosphere it was also fascinating. The staff name ankita she was very polite and co operative. We liked the service given by ankita

Service was not good … First time I visited wait for 15 minute and after that they said I have 10 minute for order … Pathetic Experience

Went here for the first time. Had samosas, coconut rice, naan bread, and butter chicken. Slightly more expensive than I expected, but worth it in my opinion. All were very good. Service was also great. Very friendly and polite. I tried a beer that I had never heard of and didn’t like it so I ordered a different one. The server noticed and didn’t charge me for the first one (he offered. I didn’t ask). Great atmosphere too.

We went there to celebrate our 13th anniversary. I must say that the food and staff was really good and humble. I don't really know the names but one of the staff name was Barbie.she was too gd with service

We went there to try out buffet, food wa.s amazing, so we decided to go with that restaurant for our wedding reception (45 people), we had confirmed twice about timing before but during our wedding ceremony we got a call from restaurant saying hall is not available at decided time. Just imagine on your special day you receive call saying venue is not available at last minute. To rectify this situation they made some promises but upon arrival guest weren't treated accordingly. On top of that, it was short-staffing, food counters was not refilled on time and guests had to wait for spoons and dishes.

We felt embarrassed infront of our guest.
I wouldn't recommend this place for a special event nor my 45 guests will!

I have come here several times, it never disappoints. Food is delicious and the staff are awesome. Atmosphere is nice, booths are quite private. Portions are generous, I always have some yummy leftovers to look forward too the next day. Prices are fair for what you get. I look forward to my next visit!

They dont know how to greet and serve customer…. I found hair in my food and i complained about it to one of the servers and he took plate from my table and i dont know where did he go? After that nobody showed up to us? We waited for almost 15-20 minutes. Then we just paid for the food which we did not eat? Worst experience ever…. I was expecting manager to talk to us. They have no professionalism. We wasted our time and money over there. Most important thing they dont ask for vaccination. I think i should complain about it to alberta health department. Do not risk your health.

##WORST EXPERIENCE EVER## first time I feel I wasted my time here, quality is too poor for whole food, there is only one thing in buffet for vegetarians and naan were all burned, I will not visit there again in my life, shortage of spoons, really wastage of money.

Haweli, South common location un professional management careful before you being choosing this restaurant we faced embarrassment upon visit. We had a pre booking for large group for dining but we all had to wait for seating 30 minutes, untrained waiters and waitresses, crowded narrow buffet, very high prices, sitting arrangement were poor, food quality average, waitresses or waiters never approached to your table we had to call them each time for service and eventhough to pickup dirty dishes. Sorry to say it's a waste of money and embarrassment. GOOD LUCK**?

We stopped at Hawaii South Common for a Friday night dinner date. The staff greeted us at the door promptly and said a table would be ready in a few minutes. We were seated at a private enclosed booth and our server informed us of the buffet was available. We had some questions on Indian beer and a bartender came over and answered our inquiry and recommended King Fisher beer from India. It was delicious. We had the buffet and all items on the buffet were absolutely delicious. I especially liked the butter chicken and Naan bread. The food here is so flavourful and freshly prepared. If you want an authentic Indian meal I would highly recommend you come here.

The atmosphere and environment almost gives me an exotic vibe between the food and the designing

Went out with friends for their buffet but food's quite bland and one of the dishes was quite bad, nowhere near authentic South-Asian food.

Very poor management I must say. Its been three times in a row now. Waited for almost like 40-45 minutes just for appetizer. And on top of it even after 45 minutes we got appetizer drink with the dinner. It’s ridiculous even the staff is so confused, we ordered something else but got something else. Really very disappointed.

It’s a great experience. The atmosphere is chill n cool n staff is also nice and friendly… bt there is a one cute n swt girl her name is barbie she is such a amazing girl she served us food she is Vry friendly…. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME. $23 for biryani, the biryani is not even filled properly. Half filled only. The raita that comes with it literally tastes like its spoiled. I would give zero stars but there is not option. I could have honestly gone to a better restaurant to have a buffet for $23

Ordered online, food is really good quality but it is a bit expensive for the amount you get. A bit bigger of portion sizes and it would be 5 stars for sure.
Over all though, best Palak paneer I've had in the city.

Guaranteed most of these reviews are fake. Came here to give them a second chance today but again really disappointed in the customer service. No one took our order while we were sitting for 45 minutes, had to call the front desk and ask them to come to our table, took another 45 for them to bring the food. Would tell anyone reading this to go to any other restaurant ANY OTHER restaurant if you don’t want to wait 1.5 hours for your food.

Bit expensive for student budget but probably worth for once a while dining. An average meal, per person would cost you around 20-25$

Two days ago was our first time we went to this place. But It is definitely not the last. We had great time with the good service, with the great cooking and fine drinks and with the decent pay. We will definitely visit there soon.

The food was absolutely amazing! Our sever Ankit made sure we were well looked after and brought out our dishes in a timely manner! Definitely recommend this restaurant for delicious and authentic Indian food.

We were pleasantly surprised with how good the food was. We weren't expecting much due to location and it seeming to be a chain restaurant. But the food was great, service was awesome and everything was quick and easy.

The food: Fairly good. Probably 3 or 4/5

The service: 0/5. We waited for 30 minutes before our waiter even came to our table, another 15 before he brought us our drinks, and another 45 before our food came out. By this point in time, our original waiter was no longer coming by. I'm pretty sure he checked his phone more than he checked on us. By this time, we were being served by another waiter and a lady who I can only assume was a manager of some sort. All total, we spent more than 2 hours there. It was not a positive experience, nor was it what we have come to expect from our visits to the other Hawelis.

Lastly, most of the staff were not wearing their masks properly, nor were they enforcing the mask requirement on most of their customers.

We will definitely not be returning to this location.

I take my family to this nice place a lot! This is my favorite place to eat. I visit this spot frequently. The food is excellent, the staff members are professional and the price is good. I like going in this restaurant for a tasty meal.

We went on my son's recommendation. We do not know much about food from India but wanted to try someplace. We liked the place a lot. Interesting decoration. Anyways, we ordered the butter chicken extra hot as our backround is from Mexico. Also basmati rice and naan. We did not like the wait, which was over 30 mins but once we tried the food, it was worthwhile. It was soooo good and extra hot. We will return for sure to try more food. I recommend it.

Food is really good, they have a great selection of food. A great place to have drinks and watch a game but the downside is how negligent the servers are and the wait time to get service is ridiculous, haven't been back cause of the lack of proper service.

We had such wonderful choices experiencing the Indian food offered at Haweli's. The staff were polite and the chef's go all out. If you've never experienced East Indian cuisine, this is the place to wet your palate.
