I would strongly caution anyone considering this clinic for treatment against such course.as others note, they are cultish, but worse than that, the operator of this clinic legitimately does not care about his patients. I say this after having expended a considerable sum of money for these services and come to understand how they operate.you will be wasting your money and, worst than that, imperilling your chances at a sustainable recovery.

It is also worth taking note that a high percentage of the five star reviews on this page are from “caregivers” who work for HUM.

Do not seek help from this clinic if your concerns are depression/anxiety related. In my experience they only know how to approach things as if they are addiction, which may work for some people but I found very unhelpful for my severe anxiety. I was also quite displeased with how rude Dr Sharma was towards my mother. Will not be returning.

I went here once, for an appointment to address depression and anxiety. I enjoyed my session with the therapist, but on my way out I noticed that they also provide unproven pseudoscientific therapies like chiropractic and homeopathy. I never went back, I could not trust my mental health to people who do not take an evidence/science based approach to treatment.

Terrible treatment option for those in need. The Doctor is arrogant and treats his ego not his patients.

It is hard to rate HUM in only 5 stars. To me the stars should be rated as infinite
The gratitude I am feeling for the HUM Team is unmeasurable. I was in a very dark place in my life before I took that step and ask for help. For me that was a very hard thing to do. Right when I walked through the door I was greeted with an openness I hadn’t felt before. I was a broken mess. No where to go but down. HUM picked me up and place me on my feet again. Their kindness and understanding aloud me to feel I was herd for the first time. Their non judgemental approach is what i needed. Together they pulled me out from my darkest days. Into a future life I had only dreamed of. The only thing they asked of me was my willingness to tell my story and to have an open mind. If you are reading this you have come to the right place. I was a patient of Dr. Hajela's 2 years before HUM was created. I was under his, and his teams care from HUM's inception in 2009 until 2014 (7 years). I attended 2 other treatment programs in BC and Calgary, as well as regular 12 step meetings. The quality of the group and individual therapy I received at HUM was by far the most professional I've experienced in my journey. My time at HUM had the most profound impact on my recovery and still does to this day. I'm beyond grateful to be part of this amazing team as a counsellor now, and to be able to have an impact on and witness the journeys of my fellow addicts.

Was allowed to sit in on some of the group counseling as part of my training. The dynamic they have was beautiful, tightly knit and supportive!

After a couple months after my time away from this place I learnt that HUM was more of a detriment to my mental health. Was convinced by their doctors that the medication I was on before was not good for me and to get off and which led to very bad results. Treating depression like its an addiction in my opinion is not the way to go. At least the way they interpreted it was something you should more learn to live with and accept which I know it can be beat.
Long story short I went and saw an actual doctor who actually ran tests on me and found out its more of a serious mental heath issue than "addictive thinking" (lol).
I understand there has been some successes that have come out of their program and I commend them for their strength. However my time was extremely unimpressive and left a very bad impression on me.

My participation in this clinic has transformed not only mine but my family's lives. I have been to my fair share of physiologists over the years and nothing has compared. At HUM we receive holistic treatment that looks at all aspects of well being. My husband, daughter and I see Paige Abbott on a fairly regular basis and we have started to heal as a family.

As as proffessional providing services to HUM, I have found their staff to be efficient, knowledgeable and proffessional.
