Nance did an amazing job with my hair. The haircut she helped me choose was perfect for my face shape and she gave me tips on how to maintain it. She’s really easy to talk to but also very professional. Thank you, Nance!

The salon itself is cute, everyone seemed friendly, Whitney was incredible and so excited and accommodating and professional and fun to talk to and I absolutely love my new hair!

Sydney P has been my hairstylist for years now, I’ve got to see her throughout her student years and now seeing her as one of Hedkandis full time stylists. She has always done such an amazing job, she communicates and works with me to find a hair colour and style I will love. She’s accommodating and always able to help me find sometime to get my hair done. I knew from the first time that I got my hair done by her that she would be my hairstylist for life. She is so insanely talented, I couldn’t believe she was a student the first time she did my hair, and somehow she has managed to get even better. Not only are her skills insane, she is a kind and talkative person, she always makes me feel welcomed in the salon and makes sure I leave happy. I used to have serious problems with build up in my hair resulting in flat, brassy, and lifeless hair; syd has given me so many great product recommendations without ever feeling pushy, she’s helped me find products within my price range, and has told me which products are worth spending and extra couple dollars on. If you are looking for someone who is talented, kind, a great listener, and who’s willing to work with you, syd is your stylist. Can’t wait to get to see her again!

Every step of the way Crista made sure that I was comfortable and the cut was exactly what I wanted and worked best for me. Crista cut my friends hair as well after I went and my friend with very curly hair said that it was the best cut she’s ever had. Sasha has been my stylist for several years now, and I feel comfortable giving her my full trust as I live out my blonde life. She is very attentive to your hair goals and produces great colour, cuts, and conversation.

Want to get your hair washed by a student, have your stylist hack your hair for 20 mins while attending to 2 other clients forgetting that you have a side part so puts ZERO layers in on one side of your head and the other side looks like a lampshade, so you have to go back to get it fixed (while taking time away from work to do so) and get charged $140? Hedkandi is the place to go.

I had the pleasure of getting my hair done by Tha. Tha is exceptionally talented! I was awestruck by how generous she was with her time and how well she executed the cut after listening and understanding my vision. I am coming back!

She was very knowledgeable on her techniques and products that she used as well as super informative when giving me styling tips and hair treatment advice! Tha is the best hair stylist I have ever had! She was the first hairdresser to know how to cut my wavy hair so that I could wear it naturally. She is also an amazing colourist for both hair painting and foils.

I highly recommend Kallie at HedKandi not only is she fun to hang out with during my service she is talented and meticulous with her work. I also appreciate that this business does not gender their service in terms of fee, are socially responsible and give their stylists lots of opportunities to improve their craft. This salon gets you! They are able to take my vision and make it happen. I have a hard time finding a salon I love enough to return to, but I've returned multiple times! They give you honesty and high quality results. Kallie has killed my extensions and was so thorough with how to take care of them, and Sasha murdered my cut and colour.

I can’t recommend Valina enough. She’s the first stylist I’ve had that made me love my natural texture. I’ve seen her twice now and both times it was hands down the best cut and colour I’ve had in all my 34 years. If you have curly hair you’ve got to see her. The whole place is super nice and professional, everyone should check them out

Been here twice now, with two different hair dressers. Excellent service. Amazing results. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. A simple hair style was a bit pricey, but excellent. So, worth it.

I got my hair cut and styled on July 6th. First off, the stylist botched my bangs and did a horrible job.it seemed as though she was rushing to finish my hair cut. I asked for an inch to be trimmed and it turned out to be 3 inches and my layers were not even at all. When I asked her to wave my hair after it was finished, they were extremely tight curls and I just wasn't happy at all. I found it was a very expensive cut and even though I bought two products, it wasn't worth the cut at all.

The only place I trust to do my hair! Dani slays my blonde everytime and set me up with the right products to use daily, which has helped my hair immensely! Plus, they serve drinks (when it's not covid times) and who doesn't enjoy a glass of wine in the evening while getting your hair done!

Alison is a QUEEN - she gave me the hair of my dreams. Alison installed the most gorgeous extensions and provided me with proper care instructions to make them last as long as possible. I've had my extensions in since May 2019 and they still look amazing. Would definitely recommend!

I had moved back from Texas after being away for almost three years and I needed to find an expert to deal with my blonde hair. I called Hedkandi and asked them who could help me with my hair and I saw Sarah. Sarah is lovely and listens to your concerns regarding your hair. She has helpful suggestions and listens to what you would like to have happen with your hair. Sarah has been working with me since June and my hair has never looked better. It is growing long and strong and the way Sarah trims my hair still allows it to look long. Sarah also does amazing low lights for blondes and gives you a beautiful blow out after! Sarah also recommended the Oribe hair care line to me and I am in love with all of their products. Oribe has changed my hair! Whenever I come in to see Sarah, I leave feeling beautiful and happy. Highly recommend Sarah, ten stars!

I heard amazing things about headkandi from friends so I decided to check them out after seeing an ad needing a model for a blow out. I was absolutely INLOVE with the results and decided to book in for a Cut and color. Coverage with greys have always been tricky, also having a cut where the stylist ACTUALLY listens has always been my biggest issue. The Stylist took time to ask all the right questions, What I didn’t like about my hair, what I was wanting to achieve and explained the steps needed to get there. The entire process was a positive experience. Everything I was hoping for, I received. Kallie is so personable, fun and bubbly, I know anyone who sits in her chair will have just as good of service I did! Thank you so much for ending my search of a great stylist!

I am giving this 3 stars because I loved my hair cut done by Kate and she was very sweet and attentive towards my wants and needs
at hotel arts about two weeks ago
But when it was time for the colourist to do a strand test she was very disrespectful she had asked me some personal questions and had looked me up and down and had said I couldn’t afford a color service I was there and paid 106$ for a hair cut and bought over 100$ in hair products I definitely was very upset as I was there to also pay for a color no matter the price
As soon as she had acted in such way I then said never mind and I’ll be taking that business else where you should never judge who’s sitting in your chair I found it very upsetting and rude she would act in such way I came to hedkandi because I wanted to go where I knew I would be taken care of and respected but that was just uncalled for her attitude was also just so much of I don’t care as for that I just don’t even know if I want to go back and that sucks because Kate is an awesome stylist

I had called Hedkandi Salon to book an appointment for me, my mom and my aunt with a very long and demanding appointment request from us and Sarah was able to book efficiently and effectively to make sure all of our requests were made on-time and as needed while also being extremely friendly and kind. Sarah did an amazing job of getting us in on time and as needed and represents outstanding customer service. Keep up the good work!

I am new in Calgary and chose to go to the Hedkandi at 8th street for my first haircut here with Cassie. I can’t recommend her enough. She was talented, patient, spoke to me about my hair and the style I wanted. Cassie went above and beyond to give me the look I wanted. Love my hair now. Will definitely be getting my hair done from her from now on

My stylist is Kristina Fercho and I ABSOLUTELY recommend her! She totally understand my hair and texture and makes recommendations that would work for me. She is a master at great lengths extensions that I have gotten done by her twice. Absolutely love her!

Short review for a fantastic salon! First of all, Tyler, Tyler, Tyler he is the most knowledgeable and sweet hairdresser you will come across! My mom came here first and both of us were in awe as to how good he did her hair! A haircut worth every penny! He teaches you how to do your hair and gives you great tips! I came later and I’m gonna day that we are never leaving this place. Best hair salon I have been in Calgary! I saw the work of the other girls there and their work looked amazing too!

Tyler is one who spend time with me with ideas for my hair. What I wanted to do.
Good advice.
I followed it.

I made an appointment to have my hair trimmed with Tyler.
I felt really excited to share with him since his advice.
And very much looked forward to him cutting my hair.
It took me a long time to find someone I felt would do a teallt expert trim. The way I like it.

I went in early just in cade he needed to consult with me again, and if not just to relax and look at the products and enjoy the atmosphere.
Tyler asked me to leave and come back.
I came back 10 minutes to my appointment.
Was given a robe, tea, checked in.
Waited another half hour after my appointment time was scheduled. 50 minutes waiting.
He saw me there and continued consulting with someone and not a word to me.
So I excused myself.
Cancelled the appointment.
There was no follow up.

A few days after
I chose somewhere else.

Love this location ️ Sasha has been doing my hair for a year now and I wouldn't see anyone else! I love to change my hair alot and it always turns out amazing! Highly recommend this salon!

Dani is a literal hair goddess. She has transformed my hair over the past couple of years. I have always struggled with breakage since I use a lot of heat on my naturally curly hair, but Dani has managed to help me grow my hair long and healthy while slowly going the perfect shade of blonde! 10/10 would recommend for anyone looking for healthy blonde hair!

Dani is a blonde hair god! She knows her blondes so well and she never fails to impress me. I’ve sent multiple friends to Dani and each friend is always amazed by her work. Great vibes and great people at Hedkandi on 8th! I have been getting my hair done with Dani for 3 years now and she is the BEST! I have been going to Hedkandi for I don't know how long.but a longgggg time. I have gone from Bankers Hall, to Hotel Arts and now 8th Street Sw - all my services have always been pristine. Dani thinks outside the box and I don't even have to think of what I want to do, she just knows and makes the magic happen. (and her blow outs are AMAZING, I have been obsessed with them since her apprentice days). They are the best!

I don't normally write reviews but I was really impressed with my experience today and I wanted to share. I booked a new cut with Leigh and it was the best thing I've done in a while! My visit was very pleasant and I LOVE my new outlook. I am so happy to have met Leigh and I look forward to seeing her again!

Mistakenly went to the 8th Ave location when I had booked here. I was 10 minutes late for my appointment, but they were very patient and understanding. Sasha was my stylist. She did a phenomenal job on my hair. I made an impulsive decision to cut my hair short, and felt a little worried in doing so; however, she did such an outstanding job in creating a look that exceeded the vision I had in mind. It suits me so well, and I am so happy with it. Highly recommended, for sure.

We heard of a saint who works at this location and works wizardry with extremely curly hair (hereafter referred to as Kimberly). Our 3 year old daughter had tangles and knots and was so scared to think of anyone cutting her hair. Kimberly was so sweet, tender and gentle with our little girl. No more tangles and knots; our daughter now has a beautiful hair cut with easy to manage curls. She no longer flinches to brushing, and loves going to the salon. Game changer!
