I've been going to Savannah at Hedkandi Hotel Arts since September 2022 and every single time I walk away so in love with my hair! Savannah always knows how to take my ideas for a hairstyle/cut and make them into a reality.
My biggest fear when going to any salon for the first time is that I won't like my hair when I go home and try to style it myself. I'm very low maintenance and Savannah always knows how to give me a cut that I can easily work with at home, with minimal tools/products, which is such a good quality to find in a hair stylist.
I love that I can go to Savannah and just trust her completely with my hair because it takes a ton of pressure off myself. She is such a personable stylist and it's honestly a treat catching up with her when I go to my appointments! I will never stop recommending her and this salon.

I did a hair Botox treatment with Sydney and I couldn’t be happier with the results! My hair is so much softer and straighter which I wanted because I have naturally really curly hair. My hair looks and feels so much healthier! Sydney is awesome, she’s super helpful and knowledgeable. I love how she cut my hair and I’m really happy overall with her as a hairdresser.

I had been googling for a hairdresser that does great cuts for women as I wanted lots shape, I came across Lila and found her Instagram “hair_witchh”. I got an appointment the following week and it’s the best cut I’ve ever got, SUPER happy with it and have had tons of compliments on it. I also really enjoyed the appointment as she’s really personable & easy to talk to. Definitely will be back!

Absolutely love my hair. Along with my usual haircut, Savannah recently put highlights in my hair. To say the least, I’m obsessed! She always does an amazing job and my hair is still extremely healthy! Highly recommend. Very enjoyable experience.

Savannah at Hedkandi is a magician for thick, wavy, frizzy hair. She understands my hair type so well and isn't afraid to use thinning shears to remove unnecessary bulk. She also listens to what I want for my hair/style and asks for my opinion on aspects, which means that I leave with a haircut that really works for me!

Love my hair stylist Savannah! So much of having a favourite hair salon is based on where your favourite hair stylist is. That being said Hedkandi Salon- Hotel Arts has a welcoming atmosphere with down to earth stylists who are awesome at what they do. It’s friendly, comfortable and professional and lacks the stuffiness of other hair salons. Highly recommend it.

Sydney has been amazing to deal with as a hairdresser. It has been difficult finding someone you can trust with your hair and I am very thankful to have found Sydney! She has been honest with what I can do with my hair to keep it healthy and still manage to get me a colour that i love. My hair is feeling healthier and still looks amazing. Her and the entire Hedkandi team are super friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend them!

If you want to try something new with your hair, you have to go to Lila. She listens and works with you to give you something fresh. She is full of creativity and I always leave her chair with haircut that fits my needs and is honestly better than the reference pictures I bring with me.

I am really in love with my hair. I had my haircut with Hannah McCormick. She is an amazing hairstylist and so friendly. I have given her an overview of the cut I needed and she has done an excellent job. She gave a complete new look to me. Loved it! More than a 5 star rating for her and highly recommend her service.
Also, about the Hekandi Salon. They keep place clean and tidy. They greet you very well. And best part they compliment each other for their amazing work making atmosphere super friendly.

As someone who's never felt really comfortable at salons, I really appreciate my go-to stylist, Lila! She's really chill, awesome energy, and gives fabulous haircuts. I have fine texture, high density wavy hair, and have been getting regular trims to recover my hair from heat/bleach damage. My 2B/C hair is looking awesome with the textured layers Lila put in last week. She removed a lot of the weight and bulk, giving my hair some definition. My waves are looking much more defined. Highly reccomended to wavies looking for a cut in calgary! #wavygirl

Rachelle is amazing! Very nice and personable and she had great tips on how to style my hair at home. I have thick, wavy hair and it is usually hard to work with, but she did a wonderful job.

Alyssa R was incredible! I went in to do some corrective work on a balayage I was unhappy with and a cut. She went above and beyond to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. She explained everything in detail and we developed a plan together. I have never been this happy with a colour and cut. The whole experience was extremely positive starting from the the woman at the front desk all the way to the end.

The hair cut I asked for and what they did to my hair, I just told her that i wanted I little shorter and I asked for a balayage like the picture and she did highlights with a horrible YELLOW colour! I had my hair soooo long I was looking to cut it in layers and as you can see it’s totally another hair cut HORRIBLE SERVICE she did what she want not what I told her! And for that I paid $300? !

Alyssa R is an absolutely amazing stylist at hedkandi! She's been doing my hair for about 6-7 years and always makes me feel so special whenever I'm in her chair. She is extremely knowledgable and I always leave 1000% satisfied with my results whenever I leave. She has transformed my hair from dark brown almost black to icey cool blonde without compromising the integrity of my hair. It's truly unbelievable what she can do with hair. Her talent will always amaze me! I recommend everyone to go to her if you want flawless beautiful hair!

Lila was absolutely amazing! She did exactly what I asked for, which seems to be a rarity for me. She really, really understands curly hair, and how to deal with it. This is the best haircut experience that I have ever had, by a very big margin. The salon was also very lovely and comfortable, and they seemed well stocked. The other staff were very friendly and courteous.

Completely destroyed my hair. Took off all my length, I wanted only a trim. Booked for balayage, the stylist suggested not to but instead tone the ends which wasn't the same and ended up frying it.
I cried when I got home and just today went and got hair extensions so I will actually leave the house again.
So an almost $500 cut and color has now cost $1400 to fix.
I would never recommend going there.

I’ve been going to Hedkandi for many years and I’ve spent a lot of money there. Booking after Covid, I wasn’t able to see my regular stylist so I selected a different one. Within the first few minutes of my consultation she made two negative comments: first, she told me I should be at home with my young daughter. Then she said I needed to cut my hair short because now that I’m a mom it’ll always be up in a ponytail anyway. She went ahead and cut off WAY more than I asked and gave me one horrible highlight right in the front. When I reached out to Hedkandi to let them know how hurt I was to get these comments as a brand new mom in the middle of a pandemic they didn’t even bother to respond. Clearly clients are just dollar signs to them and not people.

Had an excellent experience for hair colouring with Lila. Very conscientious and thorough. Had great conversation with her and enjoyed every moment of my appointment. I highly recommend Lila at Hedkandi Hotel Arts.

Have been coming to Hedkandi for maybe 1.5 now and I am extremely loyal to Jasmine R. She was literally the only person I had found that took me to the ashy brown I was searching to get. She take great pride in her work and has high attention to detail, very personable also. Thanks Jasmine for always making my hair amazing, you are a rockstar!

I asked to do a consultation with one of your hairstylists and was denied because I didn't need a colour or cut. I was in search for a hydration/protein treatment and didn't know what I needed specifically.

Wouldn’t pay $70 to get a haircut by Shelby again. Was insulting and sold me product I didn’t need for my hair type. Had to get my brutal cut fixed elsewhere.

After going through tons of stylists in the past year looking for a change, I'm happy to say I finally found a salon that understands my needs and expectations. The front end staff is always amazing, friendly, consistent, and professional. My stylist Shelby is knowledgable, talented and works hard to make sure I'm happy and love my hair. I really enjoy the atmosphere of Headkandi. My hair is short and not complicated, but I come here for the friendly staff, coffee or a cocktail and a stylist who listens and actually knows and STYLES my hair. It is premium priced ($70+) but I am always happy and willing to pay for the service and staff: D #HeadkandiLovesYou

Pricier than most places, 100% worth it.
Looking & feeling good are investments that one shouldn't cheap out on, and HedKandi gives you both. The most well-kept, well-designed, and welcoming salon I've ever been to, and I've tried many places. These ladies take the cake. All of it. Had the absolute delight of being helped by Maibble and Leigh, on my first and second visits respectively. Both are phenomenal people. Friendly staff that radiate positive energy, make great conversation, and give solid advice.

I don't write reviews out of boredom; HedKandi deserves 5 stars. Just go check them out. Seriously.

I can't compliment this salon enough. From the moment I walked through the door, the service was incredibly warm and genuine. The space itself is beautiful, mixing contemporary and eclectic design elements.

My hairdresser was Maibble and I have full confidence referring friends to her because she is knowledgeable, personable and so great at what she does. Even though I am not married to the length of my hair, Maibble checked in with me at every point to make sure I was ok with the cut. I cannot wait for my next visit!

I have been going to Chantelle at Hedkandi in Hotel Arts for a over a year now. My color is always perfect. I always wanted to add some light to my natural dark hair but the result was never good. Chantelle was able to finally give me a color that looks natural and suited to my skin tone.

My highlights look so natural; I have received so many compliments for my hair since Chantelle started doing my hair - she also taught me how to style my straight hair at home to get beach curls that last! I highly recommend her, she is so skillful and friendly PLUS she always understands what I want and suggest me the best options based on my hair, face shape and skin tones.

Finally, the salon is comfortable and stylish; and their Chamomile tea is delicious! I would recommend anyone to visit this place and contact Chantelle. You will not regret it!

I highly recommend Molly Clapp as a stylist at The Hotel Arts Hedkandi Salon. Molly is a creative artist delivering excellent cuts and colors. She is skilled at identifying personality types and what style will best fit each individual. I can easily go visit Molly and with no idea what I really want other than something 'different' and she immediately get to work with amazing results. I love that she is so confident in her ability and skills and she isn't scared to make recommendations and take ownership of her work. I also love that she is quick.again her experience in action. When I met Sarah P.it was meant to be. She and I hit it off instantly! She was very attentive to everything I had to say about what I wanted for my cut and balayage. I started with dark and super long dry strands but she softened it with a lighter tone and shortened the length (see pictures). She explained what she was going to do before she started and even stopped in the middle of her work multiple times to ask if I was okay with everything she was doing. I tend to be on the quieter side so I don't often talk much but she made me feel so comfortable that I babbled on the entire time we were together. My appointment was almost 3 hours long but it felt like only minutes. If you are looking for a cut or color, she is brilliant!

I came into this appointment cautious due to past experiences with bad haircuts but she made me feel at ease. The ladies at the front were very welcoming and kind and the space is bright with a modern aesthetic. All those years of horrible hairstyles was definitely worth it for finding this amazing stylist. I love love love my hair! I finally have a hairstyle that makes me feel absolutely confident. Thank you Sarah!

Chantelle is a wizard at colouring blonde hair. I love my perfect blonde! My hair is shiny and vibrant and the cut was exactly what I wanted. Throughout the process she explained what she was doing, and gave me tips on how to style it at home. I'm really looking forward to my next appointment with her. I went here for the first time and I was really impressed by everything. The prices in my opinion are very reasonable with what you get. Sarah Lane is the best hairstylist hands down that I've ever been to!
I've searched high and low to find a hairstylist that is amazing with blonde hair and she is just a hair god. She listens to what you want, always has good advice and is so knowledgable about what products you should be using etc.
I will be sending all my girlfriends and brides her way without hesitation.
I always love going in to the salon since all the girls are so welcoming and nice, unlike some other salons that are filled with catty girls.

I had Nikki do my cut and colour, and absolutely loved what she did. I went in not totally knowing what I wanted and but Nikki was great at explaining my different options and helping me choose a good look for me! I am so pleased with how it turned out.
