Great staff and always kept in top shape. But there are little to no mirrors in the weights area and no sauna like many other GYMVMT locations.

Very friendly, clean, women's only gym! They have great classes and equipment for all styles of fitness.

I’m so happy I finally decided to join this gym. The staff is friendly and makes me feel so welcome when I’m there and where do I even begin with my personal training sessions. I was paired with Mady and she has been a true blessing. She has taught me so much and has been so patient with me. When I ask her questions she takes the time to fully explain. She cares about her clients and their success and understanding the exercises. If you are nervous about going to a gym, just stop by cuz the minute you walk through the door like I did, you will get that feeling that you are valued and you have that sense of belonging.

I’ve been a member for quite some time and just recently tried personal training. I am loving it, Courtney is the best!

The HER GYMVMT location at Canyon Meadows is always so welcoming and positive. Every time I go for a work out I am greeted by MaryAnne at the front desk. She is always so positive, kind, professional and hard working. The staff are always willing to answer any of your questions and be of great assistance. This gym is a place where women can feel like they are in a comfortable, clean, and great environment!

Loads of classes and equipment at an affordable monthly fee. Diverse membership includes women of all ages. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Clean and bright facility. Quiet yoga studio upstairs. Classes include weights, step, spin, and more. I've been coming here for years!

I recently started personal training sessions with Kim and have had an excellent experience. I can’t wait to continue! The environment at the gym is great and I like that it is women only.

This is an awesome gym! In every single way! Before signing up, I was with the ymca which honestly can’t be beat (equipment wise) this gym is equal to the ymca. It’s properly spaced out, things just make sense. They have incredible showers and locker rooms! The price also can’t be beat! They gave my business forever. Bravo bravo

The trainers are super nice and are extremely helpful! The facility it’s really nice and always clean and the people are always so inviting! It’s a great place to workout!

Friendly atmosphere, state-of-the-art fitness equipment, spacious, clean, tidy and organized place. Special commendation to Mery Ann, very diligent, accomodating and friendly. The gym is Senior-friendly. I like your ZUMBA programs, very lively and enjoyable. The instructors are very efficient and effective. I can see results as my strength and well-being improved. I feel I am much fitter and stronger.

I have been going to CM location now for 5 weeks. I had alot of anxiety over starting at a gym, but the girls have really eased my nerves and I now love getting in my workouts! As a new member I had some training sessions to become familiar with all the equipment, my sessions were with Jennifer, Sarah and Angela. They were all so welcoming, listened to my concerns (prev injuries) and able to give me guidance to feel confident with all the equipment. The staff have been so helpful and available when needed. I love that after a busy day at work I can just scan my app upon arrival and get started. I am so glad to have found this gym, its close to home, and it provides me with everything I need for my fitness journey ahead. I highly recommend this location!

When I moved to the area I wasn't sure what gym would be the best fit for me. I am so happy that I signed up with the Canyon Meadows location! The front desk staff Mary Anne, management, and trainers, are all helpful, professional and super friendly. The gym work out areas and women's change room/washroom are extremely clean.

Originally my banking was entered incorrectly by whoever signed me up, first time trying to resolve it they stopped me when I scanned in. I had previously been a member, cancelled, and then came back and always used the same chequing account for payments. This time I was told that I had to use a credit card, no way was I doing that. So I told her to try it again. Still wrong. Second time stopping me when I scanned in they tried AGAIN. I guess the girl at the desk was capable of correctly inputting numbers that time because it fixed the issue. I would go elsewhere if there were other close options for a female only gym. Unfortunately I’m stuck with this place.

I recently saw Savannah to talk about getting a membership. She was lovely, very caring and helpful and was filled with knowledge to help me start my journey since I haven’t been to the gym since covid. Gym was nice and clean with a variety of equipment also quite large with some friendly members. Highly recommend

Since GoodLife Fitness has bought you out (as is public knowledge) is this gym shutting down or swapping to a new GoodLife in the Northeast!? ! I'm very curious since you are attached to a GoodLife!

Great gym but absolutely terrible customer service, I've tried canceling many times did over multiple months and I haven't been there for over a year so I cant come in, and signed the cancelation online and they still keep billing me!

I’m impressed with Hergymvmnt at the Canon Meadow’s location.
I go there three or four times weekly and look forward to every visit.
It is a well run club under the watchful supervision of the manager, Juanita. She has created a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. She is knowledgeable in her line of work and helpful to all the clients who speak positively of her.
She is bubbly and fun in addition to being serious. All staff members are equally as helpful.
The gym is clean and well looked after.
I am very happy to be a member.

I am never going to sign up for a gym membership again because of these people. There were so many stupid hidden fees and so many stupid policies that they didn’t tell me about when I signed up so I ended up paying more for the gym that I never ended up going to. Just a complete waste of money the actual gym itself is nice but the staff should be clear about what I’m paying for. Especially when they would tell me things were free and then as soon as Covid restrictions eased up I had to pay for them.

Join if you want to deal with terrible management and old equipment! So many other gym options that are better than this one lol

I’ve been a member of this gym for about a month. I would give it 5 stars based on the facility and most of the staff however my low rating comes from the fact that some members are apparently incapable of cleaning up after themselves. Bars are constantly left on racks, today even one left empty on the lifting platform along with 2 collars. The cable machine attachments are often left all over the floor despite their being a basket and hooks to put them in. I wish management would be more on top of this, perhaps an email or signs reminding people to be courteous.

Great gym that has everything I need and very friendly Staff, so many amazing classes to choose from.

Lots of parking, great place to work out, workout classes if you want to do that, clean change rooms, friendly atmosphere

Never thought I would say this but I love this gym! Great options to customize your membership and I added Team personal training and love it! Christel is my trainer and she is so motivating! Feeling great!

DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY. I was a member of the Mcleado trail location (since closed) and it's been a nightmare! They refuse to acknowledge my cancelation request from over a year ago, which I have in writing!

Not only did they charge me for personal training sessions that weren't delivered, they refuse to cancel my account and threaten legal action. Terrible.

This is a cooked organization that will take advantage of you! Do not attend any of these gyms - you will be taken advantage of.

I love this gym and have been going for years now! The front desk ladies (Laurie especially!) are always smiling and creating conversation and their cleaning crew not only does amazing work with keeping everything super clean but they are an absolute pleasure to speak with - their whole team is! It’s never a long wait if you’re needing to use specific equipment and they have everything you need in their bathrooms (hair dryers included!) I won’t go anywhere else!

I've been a member here for years, but just wanted to share some love. The gym is always super clean, the staff is friendly and its a great community of women. I've really enjoyed training with Lara over the years, she is such an inspirational, knowledgable and kind trainer. I can't recommend her enough. Lastly, I also wanted to mention how much I love Danielle's yoga classes. She brings something special to yoga that I have never experienced before. Her classes are something everyone would benefit from checking out.

This is a perfect place for women to workout and bond together exclusively. A very friendly atmosphere, top of the line equipments, spacious gym, clean and exceptional customer service from all the staffs.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Nicole Ascher for her class at 530 pm to 630 pm today. It was my first exercise class since covid started, and I was feeling uncertain taking the class cos it has been over two years, but I was truly amazed how I felt at the end of the class, I felt all light has shone through every cell of my sleeping body, sweated so much, at several high points I felt my heart was beeping out of my chest, excellent high intensity with resistant training, overall a superb workout. Nicole is awesome. I would like her to teach more of this type of classes, perhaps at 630 pm to 7: 30 pm.truly, truly appreciated. Sincerely Sophia

This gym is always doing their best to stay open for their members through covid.their housekeeping keeps the gym very clean.they have a big space with lots of great equipment.some of it looks older but they are actually really cool machines. I love that they offer small group personal training for discounted prices.it makes it more fun and affordable to get expert advice.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this gym. It is always clean and staff are always friendly. Immediately I walk in, I'm usually greeted by someone. I wanted to especially highlight the fitness trainer team, including their manager, as they are always around to talk and encourage the work you are doing.

I am a previous World Health member, I was moved over to this new gym without any notification. When I called to cancel my membership, manager was very rude to me and specifically told me she "did not have to help me" and refused to cancel my membership. Poor business practices.

The staff at canyon meadows is excellent.
Maryann the custodian keeps the place very clean. She always has a smile and is very kind to the customers. The instructors are incredible. Heather, Nicole, Wendy and Daniel give 110% all the time. Those are the only structors I have had. I know from my friends the rest are amazing as well. Love my classes and everyone at the gym. It is truly a community!

I attended this gym for almost two years before cancelling my membership early this past November. The facility itself is nice, I always found it to be very clean and flows well, the change rooms and shower area are beautiful. One thing I think the management team needs to take seriously is the comments about the front desk staff at this location - this was one of the major factors in my cancellation (along with lack of professionalism in the personal training services). You can see reviews below mentioning this with 5+ likes on them. It is by no means every staff member, but more often than not I felt like a burden when checking in here, no greeting and you're waiting for the personal chatting to finish. I found things to be a bit more professional when it was Spa Lady but to be honest always found the staff a little too "casual". This gym has some good things going for it, (attending Danielle's yoga classes was the thing that kept me as a member for the last 10 months of my membership) just a little more attention to staff training would go a long way. I stayed on as a member as I signed up for the gym, not the staff, but eventually it did get to me and I realized I could spend that money at a different gym and receive better treatment. Ironically I was treated very respectfully by the manager during my cancellation and appreciated her taking the time to listen to my concerns.

The old, old Spa Lady was great, but as the ownership changed multiple times and then they were bought by this GYMVMT organization it is terrible. The staff are clueless. I called to ask about membership when my membership would expire as i had it on hold due to being pregnant, the girl on the phone told me i didnt have a membership anymore. Ok that's fine, i knew it was coming to the end and with GYMVMT now owning it i assumed they didnt roll the contract over the way they used to. Then months later i get a letter in the mail saying i owe a year of fees. So when i call to ask about it neither the gym or head office said they could fine me in the system. Also their prices are no longer great.

During COVID I have received no response to my request for a freeze on my account. This issue has been resolved after having messaged the gym on Facebook. I had sent GYMVMT several emails regarding the lack of communication and compassion during this time as they continue to bill my account. Since then I have received an apology, a refund and my account frozen. I'm happy with how the call went. I appreciate the effort to get back to me. Certainly in these difficult times things slip through the cracks. I'm glad this was remedied.

I have changed my ratings from 1 star to 3 to reflect the improvement. In terms of the facility, accessibility, and equipment I would rate them a 4.

Danielle English best yoga instructor I have had.
She truly has a gift. Many would love a Sunday am class done by Danielle.
The manager doesn't seem interested unfortunately. Maybe she should participate in a yoga class. She may change her mind!

Horrible place ever! This place is only after the money and to get as many members as possible. I've been a member here years ago and never had a good experience with the staff. I thought maybe this time it's a new management, it will better but really, nah! Still the same poor customer service ever!

Recently joined here after switching from the Y. The gym itself is good, great equipment and always clean. The personal trainers are very nice. However the one thing that I cannot stress enough is how horrible the front greeting staff are. Specifically the older woman who works most often (in all honesty I think she’s even the front desk manager which makes this so much worse), every single time I go in she takes her sweet time to scan my card and if she’s having a leisurely conversation with a friend she waits till SHES done talking before coming to help the line up of people trying to scan in. Not acceptable, we are paying members and deserve to be treated as such, don’t act all in a huff as if I’m an inconvenience for you, your job is to man the front desk and greet us. Not only that but she has not once even said “Hello” or “morning” or anything close to that, I greet her everytime I come in and she flat out ignores me to my face every time. I do not understand how the management doesn’t do anything about her blatant disrespect to the members and absolutely horrible customer service. As someone who’s worked in a managerial role in the fitness industry before, I don’t understand how she hasn’t been fired.

I've been working out there for over 7 years and the ladies at the front desk (Virginia and Laurie especially) are so friendly. Recent renovations to improve the layout promise good things to come! Several good group classes available too. Great place!

This place is a bigger scam then my dudes in India, don’t waste your money here. Unless you want to pay the full fees and get screwed in a few months because of a penny that they left on your account on purpose.

Some of the staff are nice and welcoming but some others are not so great. They are either very obviously fake and only helping you because they have to, or, they are just outright rude. From my experience in the half year that I have been here, almost all of the personal trainers are very rude people unless you are signed up for personal training with them. Just because I am not paying extra money to be in their personal training program does not mean that I am any less of a member. One thing you need to remember if you are planning to sign up is that the personal trainers are highly unprofessional. If you are using the equipment on your own time, they will "ask" you to leave so that the people they are training can use it even though you are still using the machine. If you see an empty machine, they will tell you that you are not allowed to use it because they WILL be using it in the FUTURE. Very, very, rude personal trainers (not all but a good 80% are). The staff that are not personal trainers are usually nice but they are ALWAYS on their phones. I do not mind if they are occassionally doing it but seeing them on their phones every single time I see them is a bit too unprofessional. Last thing to add, I did give this gym at least a 2 star because despite the mostly horrible staff, personal trainers in particular, the machines are good and it is a good facility.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I went in to sign up for a week long free trial in which they don't offer! Instead, they made me sign a two year contract but gave me about two weeks until the first payment would come through. The lady stated I had up until the Friday to cancel and would pay NOTHING. I asked her more than once to confirm this would be true before signing the agreement. I went in on the Thursday to cancel it and they told me the payment had already been sent through to the banks on Wednesday and that I would not be refunded for the down payment. I am furious that the lady, Kim, lied to me insisting that I had until the Friday to cancel without getting charged. Do not get trapped the same way I did! Terrible establishment. Poorly ran and very dishonest.

My sister and I have been going here for the last 7 weeks the staff here are some of the most AMAZING, KIND AND HELPFUL women. They are friendly and always willing to help us with our exercising. We never feel uncomfortable or judge (because we are on the much heavier side) our absolute favorite staff member is Leione (I might have misspelled her name) she has gone above and beyond to help us with our exercise and weight loss plan. Because of the staff we love and continue to go. They always greet us with a friendly smile and hello

I emailed the Canyon Meadows Spa Lady months ago inquiring about cancelling. I received a response via phone where I made it clear that I was looking to cancel. It was cheaper for me to let my annual membership run out than it was to pay the cancellation fee so that's what I decided to do. I was assured that my membership would not renew and I believed that this was taken care of. I was not told I needed to come in to sign any form. I live 6 minutes away and if I knew that I needed to sign a form, I would have come in no problem!

A few weeks ago I realized that I had been charged ever since. I spoke with a Canyon Meadows staff member and she told me that it was out of her control and I had to contact head office, which I did. They waived my 30 day cancellation fee, however, they would not give me a refund for the money I unknowingly spent and asked me to go back to Canyon Meadows to discuss this issue. The Canyon Meadows GM called me and told me to go back to head office.

Although I admit I didn’t read the small print when I first signed up ages ago, and I should have noticed right away that I was still being charged for a gym membership I truly believe I cancelled, I felt extremely mislead over the phone, then when I tried to fix the situation, I felt as though the Canyon Meadows branch was calling me a liar (just because it's policy that someone needs to fill in a cancellation form does not mean that I was informed about it during this call), and then I was bounced between the branch and head office multiple times, just to find out that no one will provide me with a refund. Had their employee given me the proper information during this initial phone call, I could have avoided extra charges, weeks of emails/phone calls, and the frustration of knowing that they are not willing to own up to a small mistake.

The Canyon Meadows facility and equipment are really great, and there were select classes that I once enjoyed, however, some instructors were replaced with really inexperienced staff, and/or ones that were quite awkward. I overall liked my experience there until the very end when the staff at this location and at head office kept wanting to make me someone else’s problem.

I've been going to this gym for ~4 years now and loved it at first (mainly because of the all girl aspect) but it has been slowly going down hill and I am unfortunately looking to move gyms. I find 90% of the staff to be extremely rude unless you're paying for their personal training services. I recently had one of the trainers turn the fan off that I was clearly using and roll her eyes when I turned it back on (I was warm from working out).

They've unfortunately become a gym that only cares about you if you're paying the big bucks for personal training, otherwise they couldn't care less. I used to feel very welcome here but I no longer do. Would not recommend.

This place is always overloaded with people. Customer service is awful because they are hiring a new staff all the time. I don't know why but the staff rotation is extremely high at this location. You can read the Employee Reviews that posted at "Indeed" and you can get the picture of how this company operates. I was glad that my one year contract with Canyon Meadows Spa Lady ended and I was able to leave. I rather pay a little bit more but get a pleasant experience. Yes Spa Lady is probably the cheapest in the city but you are getting what you are paying for. Another thing I have to mention that you could get chased by some of the member there who would be pointing in a very bad manner that you have to wipe their machines. I don't mind to wipe the machines but I don't like to be mistreated by somebody for my money that I pay for the service. Keep it in mind too. Anyways long story short they are nice when they need you to sign in but as soon you are trapped and signed your contract they are given you a cold shoulder. Save your money for something better!

Been a spa lady member for years now. It's a great gym, with lots of variety BUT they recently did some upgrades and it now feels way too crammed and unorganized. The personal training classes are always taking up too much space and you can never find a spot to workout unless you go at odd times of the day. Parking is always an issue too. Thinking of a gym change when my contract is up! Also the water dispensers are room temperature

I do love this gym but I must say the staff is pushy! I have not been to this gym in 3 years and the last 6 months they have Started to contact me to sign up again. I stated I did not want nor can afford it right now and they continued to call me every day for a few weeks even tho I declined their offer! Well I had to block there number just for them to leave me alone and I asked them over and over to stop calling. Well.this week I had 5 voicemails from them not staying anything just hanging up! I called yesterday and officially lost my cool on whom ever answered and screamed take my damn information out of your computer now! Soooooooo not happy! I honestly feel like I am being harassed by spa lady!

I love this gym so much! My coach Hayley is just amazing! I love all the staff in there everyone always makes me feel like I’m part of one big family! I meet lots of inspiring ladies from all walks of life! I go out of there each time feeling good about what I’m doing! Thanks everyone for always being so kind to me!

I love this gym! The classes are excellent, the gym really has all of the equipment you need for any kind of workout, and the membership is fairly reasonable.

I didn’t give it 4 stars since I was disappointed with a handful of my encounters with a couple of the personal trainers. Many of them did not go out of their way to fit their clients schedule or their needs; many of which couldn’t even answer my questions. This is why I was reluctant to ever sign up for personal training classes. However, I decided to give it another shot and completed a personal training session with Hayley, and she is awesome! Her workouts were simple yet effective, and easy to modify if needed. I really feel like I’m working out with a friend when I workout with her. If you are looking for a personal trainer; I definitely recommend her!

Overall, you won’t regret your decision by becoming a member!

Great gym! The staff are super knowledgeable and friendly and always willing to answer any questions or concerns. The child care is outstanding, I fully trust all of them with my daughter and she absolutely loves going to Spa Kidz. I’ve met some great connections here and would recommend Spa Lady Canyon Meadows.

Equipment is as good as any other gym. Membership pricing is much higher than average. I chose to use the gym because it is always empty, (now I know why it’s empty). Staff are confused and uninformed, management doesnt seem to care about anything.basically if you have any questions don’t bother asking anyone because they don’t know anything! They only seem to care about locking you down in a long contract and taking your money! Management is a joke.

Have been a member at Canyon Meadows and they have really upped their game! I love tread and shred with Savanah. She has also taken the time to show me many exercises to do on my own. Thank you SpaLady!
