So far these are the best pierogis I have tried in Calgary! The cabbage rolls are delicious too. Reminds me of my grandma. I hope they stay open for a long time. It’s nice that it’s also available on skip the dishes.

Food is always great, especially the cabbage rolls and the different soups.
Staff are friendly and the place is clean.
Highly recommended.

I never knew perogies were supposed to be THIS good! Must try the potato pancake as well. Service was friendly and everything was delicious. We will definitely be back!

I got one of the lunch specials. The pierogis were good in both flavour and texture. The sausage was a bit dry for my preference, but the flavour and bite was good, and that could be how it is meant to be traditionally. The sausage was really good with the cabbage roll which had a great tomato sauce and was stuffed with tender, seasoned rice. They sell authentic goods like mustard, drinks, and chocolates, and the staff were very nice. The space inside was quite large & the parking was a breeze, so I enjoyed dining in a lot.

A local treasure. The closest to Mom's cabbage rolls and pierogies that we've found. The ham garlic sausage is not to be missed. Fantastic food, great service.

Ordered catering for a small backyard wedding. The woman I spoke with helped with portions I would need, recommendations on how to heat and serve and even gave me a list of things to get at Costco to round out the meal. Everything came exactly as expected and everyone loved it. Thanks so much!

I came here today and ordered 6 perogies. They were good only got a tiny dollop of sour cream though. Also the lady at the till does not know how to do math she gave me incorrect change. It would have been 5/5 if not for that I felt unwelcomed so I might not be back.

Yeah went here like, two days ago. Picked up: beef and rice cabbage rolls (5 in a pack), some onion perogies (12 in pack), and Nanaimo bars (4 in pack), $30 altogether.

The cabbage rolls were by far my favourite, the perogies had RIDICULOUS more flavour than you'd find in like frozen ones from a supermarket, and the Nanaimo bars were solid.

Decent value/quality proposition, cannot complain.

Absolutely love this place when it comes to home cook Ukrainian food. Everything tastes good from the pierogies the sausage the borscht and the cabbage rolls! Perfect little spot to eat in or take it home and eat in the comfort of your own home. Super friendly helpful staff and the place is really clean I highly recommend it! Great job

This is my go to place to buy homemade perogies and garlic sausage. Going to try the blueberry perogies next time.

Could use more meat and less rice in the cabbage rolls, but still verry tasty. Pricery for all that rice, though.

Really personal service. Nice selection of product. Simple and tasty. Family owned too. I hadn’t been in ages! A $13 lunch combo is so economical. Perogies and potato pancakes are great. Will go back for sure.

I go to this place constantly for their borscht and all the Ukrainian food is amazing along with the staff. This is got to be as close to ukranian food that my Baba used to make and my mother makes. I'm so glad I'm only 5 minutes away from there. And if you get a chance try their sour cucumber soup it's amazing. Definitely getting them to prepare my family is meatless Christmas dinner this year

I have lived in this area all my life and Heritage Bakery & Deli is a landmark worth going to. Everything tastes like home. I've never been disappointed and plan on supporting this business. Support local, support good food.

And this is meant for the review about vegan options. C'mon this is the HERITAGE Bakery and Deli. It is traditional soul food.

Where do I start.the food is delicious. Fresh perogies, borscht and in house made kielbasa all delicious. They also have a bunch of delicious grocery items to buy as well as delicious drinks. Ended up taking some extra perogies and sausage home as well as cookies. If this sounds like your type of food than I highly suggest checking it out. Will be back for sure.

I tried some of their pierogies at the Taste of Calgary Festival, so decided to go and check out what they had. To my dismay, the staff was very rude and impatient, almost as if they take their customers for granted because of their popularity. The lady behind the counter was very impatient- I wanted to ask whether their pre-packaged pierogies came in different flavours but she gave me one word answers even though they weren't very busy and thus I had to go with whatever she handed me. The potato pancakes were good in terms of flavour, but were almost oozing oil. The pierogies are bland but good. When I asked if they had sour cream the lady just handed me a container of sour cream at me that you could just get at the grocery store. Usually I would not mind paying the extra couple bucks, but I did not appreciate the overall atmosphere and tone I got from there. I wish I could have given them a better review as I was looking forward to going there, but because of the poor service I probably will not be returning.

The food is delicious and well portioned. A really pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. Looking forward to trying the blueberry perogies!

Always fresh and delicious. I am eating a delicious jam jam cookie right now. The heated veggie and sausage rolls are very good.

I was here once may be before year or so for the first time and asked them about the vegan option if they have and was also gonna ask about some other menu options which was not vegan for my kids. But, I didn't ask any more question after my first question about vegan food options. Because the staff was not friendly or welcoming.were not intrested to answer my questions. I would have understood if they were busy. But They were not busy. Very much disappointed. Please, give the same customer service to everyone.

My husband and I hired Heritage Bakery & Deli to cater our wedding on June 29,2019 and we can't even put into words how amazing our experience with Kathy and her team went.

Kathy's communication during the planning process was phenomenal - we worked together to ensure all our requests were met. And they were. Our day was perfect and so was the food. Kathy and her team were super prepared and professional. We really couldn't of asked or a better experience.

We highly recommend Heritage Bakery & Deli and can't wait to go in for a visit!:)

Pierogi, borscht, cabbage rolls and more. Maybe pricey but worth the homemade goodness like Baba used to make. I go over and over again. You can eat in (hot plates) or take out

Sauerkraut and mushrooms perogies pricey, $10/dozen. Tasted good steamed. Potatoe pancakes were oily and overly cooked. Staff were nice. Spent $17 for pancakes and perogies but didn't match the value or quality.

It's pretty good. They have a solid pierogi, they have good keilbasa. The hunter stew is good.

It's a good solid meal but nothing fancy.

Great local Polish diner/deli, and they let you sub toast for pierogi with your breakfast and that's awesome.

Excellent sausage and cabbage rolls. Lots of other stuff too. But really, SAUSAGE AND CABBAGE ROLLS!
