A very nice shop and as far as I know, a nice and welcoming owner! I didn't find something I could buy and take back home, but the atmosphere alone and the great choice of items was worth the visit. A lot of posters, CDs and vinyls, rare collectible and miscellaneous items made a perfect collection to browse through. We spent half an hour just looking around. Really nice! I recommend the place.
Worth the trip down from Edmonton every time! …. Nothing like this here… shop has great atmosphere & a fantastic collection of merchandise! … Jerry is the real deal… background in music business & a wealth of knowledge!
Such an amazing local spot to pick up records. Amazing selection and some real rare gems - the owner is super knowledgeable and helpful. Will definitely be back!
A store. A store with records. A store whose records are new, vintage, storied. A store whose records no matter the age sound beautiful from the second the stylus touches down, to the last wailing breathe of the now 80-something liverpooler's pounding ballad.
Take a spin here and feel cross sections of pop culture as they were meant to felt. Forgive me not knowing the name of the owner, but ask for something you like and don't have, he will hand you six more like it. Not only that, he personally hand picked these copies and loves them. Blues, rock, jazz, classical, doesn't matter. This is a place by and for lovers of the souls sound.
So many posters. Found exactly what I was looking for and more. Only negitave thing I can say is they had so much cool stuff I bought way more than I should have. Some of the posters can be a bit pricey, but they also have lots of reasonably priced items. The owner is very knowledgeable about his stock and good to chat with. I'll be back.
Contacted Jerry because I was looking for some outer jackets for a bunch of records as the original jackets had water mold. He was able to find some for me and said he will keep an eye out for more! Great knowledgeable staff and an awesome selection of music including a healthy Soul/R&B section. Worth the visit!
Little big store of love. Walked in on a rainy Saturday and it was surprisingly busy. I won't lie, I thought this place would be a total dud and it is anything but that. Lots of classic records and custom orders for new records (yeah I schmoozed with the owner, great guy whose name eludes me). The poster section is crazy too. Definitely heading back there to get some more stuff.
Great selection and rare records available. Owner gave me a discount on a few records after a bulk buy. Nice place to just hang out and buy records for a decent price (compared to record land or Sunrise), and good quality as well.
So glad this place we located when their original location was torn down. Calgary's best spot for music posters, memorabilia, and physical music media.
Really enjoyed the 'vibe' of the store. The owner, Gerry, had some great old blues playing while i was looking through the massive collection that they offer. I found many great albums, also the value bin is worth checking out, i think the price was 3 albums for $10. I Found a near mint Jack Green and an Etched Styx - Paradise Theater in there - awesome! They also have a newly organized classical section at the back of the store which was easy to browse and contained many wonderful artists and selection. This is worth a look as all seemed to be in great condition and selling for reasonable prices. Lots of 45's and posters and other things to be found at the front of the store. Gerry was very friendly and helpful. He helped me get around the store and showed me some cool things for sale by bands that i was interested in. Great place to check out!
Could wander the store forever. Staff are incredible helpful. If they dont have what you are looking for, they will order it for you, and always help you find something else just as pleasing to the ears!
I love this place. Jerry (the owner) is a really great dude. I've spent more time and money in this record shop than I care to try and reconcile, and always get fantastic service. I recommend Heritage highly.
