Heritage Ranch

I love Heritage Ranch but I find their prices for their experiences to be ridiculous. $261 dollars for a half-hour sleigh ride for two and you get complimentary hot chocolate No, the price of the hot chocolate is probably included in the $261 dollars. I'd love to support them more but not when the prices don't fit the experience.

A beautiful spot with outstanding service and surprisingly high-end food. Definitely recommend as a place to spend time in relaxed conversation together.

Near is amazing trail, one of my favorite! Clean streets, couple of toilets on the way, amazing views with river and lakes! I love it so much! You can meet a lots of animals! Great area for picnics, and just have nice time!

Love the patio! Great service. Love the drinks here, so yummy.we just snacked on the chips and 3 kinds of aioli dips.ohh so good!

This spot has the best all around experience in town. It's got a variety of unique entertainment and food thats second to none. It's a beautiful place to enjoy the walking trails, if you love horses, there'll be plenty of gorgeous ones along the way. I like to local relaxing atmosphere, nice to see a business supporting other local businesses. Great sense of community and friendly staff. The Westlake Grill is an excellent restaurant, such a nice evening there, delicious food, wonderful servers. They have some nice wines that I've enjoyed. Love the garden fresh vegetables. Kids enjoy eating there too. The winter night lights are gorgeous and the sleigh rides are defiantly one of my favourite activities there. The country setting is refreshing in the city. Great place for solo /guests/kids/dates. Highly recommend, great go to, real treat in town. Love the pies and thanksgiving dinner too. Thanks everyone.

First time here and it was Durring covid.
The pet friendly patio is a nice touch, unfortunately it doesn't get afternoon /evening sun and this is more of a dinner establishment I think, not did they have gas heaters in our area so that was unfortunate but they did supply a thin blanket.

I think they try and use alot of local produce so a big up to them for supporting local, my bison and the veggies /micro greens were local I think (they should probably promote that but they only have on the menu where the bison came from). It was the best bison I've ever had in my life, same as my girlfriends wow it was great and I'm glad as I got what I paid for.

My girlfriend got some sort of beef, she used to work in many local restaurants and said it was good but over priced for what it was.
We had a nice appy that was really good to can't remember what it was but that and 2 drinks was 210$.

Its the first time since covid we went out and sat down at a restaurant and this establishment is known as one of the best in town to my understanding so I was happy to pay the cost. However my girlfriend probably has a better idea of cost to quality so that along with the no sun patio /no heater has me giving it 4 stars.

Everyone's building nice patios due to covid and this place should invest in a patio upgrade. I will think about coming back when I can go inside, or maybe when I visit some other top places so I understand cost to quality in this region.

Love heritage ranch and the kids too, fishing at Mitchell pond is the best. But just to let people know it's a public place and you don't have the right to have a wedding on the dock and kick people off that are fishing just to have a half an hour ceremony and stand around and chat for 3 and a half hours stopping the public from using a spot that is meant for everyone, totally ruined our day! I guess this is what's meant when they talk about privilege?

Just went on a trail ride and it was an awesome experience!
My guides were fantastic and the scenery was beautiful.
The horses were absolutely lovely too!
I can't wait to go again!

This place is dangerous. There are bears, mountain lions, and worst of all, sketchy people. Hide your wives, hide your kids, hide your wives, because they will come through your window.  There are bugs and stuff, and they will bite you on your face.

My spouse and I booked in for the couples date night.and even booked in for an extra night at the hotel. The communication with the heritage ranch was terrific. They responded to my emails and calls super fast and answered all my questions. The carriage ride was great! Relaxing and perfect. Dinner was fantastic. I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone. We will definitely come back.

We love hiking around Heritage Ranch and down to Mitchell pond for fishing. We caught 5 rainbow trout today for the BBQ. It's a great place to have a picnic, fish, hike or just relax. We haven't had a chance to eat at the restaurant yet with the restrictions but we plan on trying it as soon as we can! A+

Visited Heritage Ranch to walk the trails with a friend and her pup. The trails are all maintained and clean. There is at least two playgrounds there for the kids. The horses are great to look at while enjoying a walk and there is also a restaurant there. Beautiful place to visit.

Had a great sleigh ride on Boxing Day evening with our family and grandchildren. The bonfire was burning to keep warm, hot chocolate and marshmallows available for roasting, and the lights on the trails made for a special evening. It was quite busy as five sleighs went out at one time with 1 to 3 horses on each. Pulled us down the trails that were well lit with lights in the trees. Blankets and seat pads provided to keep us warm on the sleigh. Mel was an awesome driver and we had good fun with him. Would recommend reservations. A good time was had by all.

This pace is amazing. Wonderful food, beautifully presented and served by friendly attentive staff. All at a fair price!
I would give it 10 stars if possible and we will be back

Green zone along the Red Deer river with plenty of walking trails in mature forest, ample parking and many picnic areas with tables. It's suited for outdoor activities. There is a restaurant and horse coral offering viewing and trail rides in carts/sleds. Located beside the Alberta Hall of fame dedicated to sporting memories. Family oriented.

Lots of nice sights for the sleigh ride but some interactions with the driver and facts about the ranch would have been nice. Had the 5 course dinner date meal. The Hors D’oeuvre was ok but I think 2 or 3 would have been more appealing. The soup was phenomenal and my wife enjoyed the salad alot. The main course tho took roughly an hour to prepare which was absolutely ridiculous in my opinion it was extremely delicious although but still 1 hour? The palate cleanser was pleasant and the desert was ok just your ordinary tiramisu nothing special. Pictures are posted on order of courses

This recreational area is so beautiful and well maintained. The horses are so friendly as well. I enjoy taking my clients here for walks as well as my family. It's a great place to get outdoors and get the fresh air in your lungs. In the summer you can also do some fishing in the pond down in the trails.

A local gem! My boyfriend and I spent an evening at Heritage Ranch, we went for a private sleigh ride and a five course dinner date after and it was amazing. The food is phenomenal, the service is just as good and the atmosphere is so welcoming and romantic. Definitely a place to return multiple times.

My dog loves the walking trails! I haven’t seen it in the summer time yet but even during the snowy winter it was a fun place to get fresh air

What an incredible experience! Our horses, Ruby and Pearl, were Belgian beauties that took us on a fairytale ride around the ranch. The chauffeur was such a gentleman who gifted us a beautiful leather saddle ornament that he handmade. Our meal came in a large box and we opened it to an amazing dinner beautifully lit with Christmas lights (Inside the Box!) We opted out of the wine and didn’t expect anything in return but the owner went above and beyond to give us a big bag of gourmet coffee and homemade jam instead. When he learned we came from Calgary for our first anniversary and would be having a car picnic in sylvan lake, he ran back to the kitchen and gave us real silverware including high quality steak knives. The food was delicious and the steak was to die for. This is simply an exemplary model of above and beyond. Thank you Heritage team for making our anniversary so awesome!
P. S- Tyson the pupper was an excellent host as well!
