Hidden Ridge Resort

I stayed with some friends over New Years. Room was clean for the most part but could use a deep clean to get dust off light fixtures, chairs, etc. Hot Tub was great excepted we were disappointed there was one hot tub and one that was like 80 degrees. Everyone wanted to be in the hot tub so there would be a line for it or overcrowded. They should make both a hot tub. I get they have the one for younger kids. Overall, had a good time but will try a different resort our next trip to Banff.

Me and my family checked in here since they have cheaper price. One thing I noticed when we lay down on bed it was itchy. I checked the beddings and pillow. One thing I found out was their bed cover was not wash. It has food stain and couple of hairs. Heater was not properly working so it worst in winter.
Sorry to say but I will never come back here again if I want to visit Banff.

Beautiful views, wood burning fireplace was a cozy touch on a freezing weekend. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Clean linens and bathrooms, but a deep clean was needed (lots of dust caked on dining room light fixture, old spills stuck to floor in kitchen). Otherwise, a great place for a family stay with lots of room for everyone!

Nice hotel. It used to be well maintained, but recently I noticed it requires some good work. Rooms are getting old and rusty. But in general it is still a good hotel.

Hidden Ridge is in a beautiful location a twenty minute walk from Banff Avenue. The one bedroom suite is well appointed with a wood burning fireplace (wood is free and kindling provided), full kitchen (everything you need is provided), sitting and dining area with a sofa bed and television. The bedroom had 2 Queen beds and a television. The bathroom is well appointed and has Rocky Mountain Soap Company body wash, shampoo, conditioner, as well as hand soap and lotion. There is spacious underground heated parking for each block of suites.

I would say the only things missing were an alarm clock in the bedroom and a DVD or BluRay, which was advertised.

There is an outdoor hot tub with an amazing view of surrounding mountains!

Suites are very small, the pictures are very deceiving felt very claustrophobic. Since we were not happy they offered us 10% discount after further discussion, we were offered rooms in their sister hotel for this reason I give them 5 stars for service.

Beautiful hotel, heated pool/hot tub (pool is smaller and not warm enough for us in Sept), close to public transportation, free heated parking, great service, friendly staff, nice rooms

The location of this “resort” is great! Beautiful views of the mountains and nestled away from the other nearly “resorts” and motels. There is also a bus stop right outside the resort, which is very convenient in the very busy town of Banff. Be careful not to block the road the bus takes. Unfortunately our room was rather dated and in need of a deep clean. Room service did come during the day and change our linens, which was nice. There isn’t much parking and it’s rather tight (but there is limited space in the mountains so not much you can do about that). The staff was friendly and very nice.

Just got back from Banff and we stayed at the Hidden Ridge Resort which was a great place. Our unit, 207, was clean, cute and had a nice cabin feel. Really loved the fireplace, the beds were comfortable, and liked having a kitchen to cook as needed. Loved the hot pools, gorgeous scenery, and cute playground. Would definitely stay here again.

Location is awesome, up on thr mountain just away from town but close enough. The issue was the room wasn't ready for about 40 mins past the time. In the room there is no air conditioning so was super hot and the cheap fans they provided did not do much to provide any relief even at night. In the winter they would be very cozy with the wood burning fire places in the rooms. The toaster provided were fairly cheap, I get it but we went through 3 until one actually worked lol. It was very sissapointing that the pools and hot tub were not open until like 8: 30am and closed at 10: 00pm I believe. The reason is because many of us would like to get up and use them before they are crowded and while.the weather is cooler. It was disappointing that one staff wqs not honest about the reason why, while another was. It being that they just didn't get in early enough to clean them and add chemicals. Very disappointing for the first false excuse and not being able to use the amenities. Especially when your paying a premium price to stay there. They did provide us with a complimentary bottle of wine for the room not being ready, which was okay. But I would have rather the pools be ready by 6: 00 am like most other places in Banff. Great walking trails around. Overall lots of potential, but would be better in the winter I imagine

Stayed at Hidden Ridge this June. First room had garbage and dirt on the floors, moved us to a new room, had animals living in the wall, furniture chewed, smell in the room. Third room was so dated, wish I could post pictures of stains and suspect old deck. Wall paper peeling, room smelled, no were else to go!
Avoid, Avoid, Avoid.especially at over $550 per night!

The hot tub here has a view that’s breathtaking! The fire place and supplied wood was an added bonus. Would definitely stay here again!

Sadly after having amazing experience previous time, this one was quite bad.
Room is in a half basement location in front of the public BBQ and public garbage bin. When I mentioned this to the reception they didn't really care and this is when hotel is almost 60-70% empty as per reviews on booking sites.
We requested mountain view and got half basement instead
Furniture: oven doors falling apart, heating rather questionable, lawn chairs broken etc.for the price of the rooms, and for the service and reception helpfulness I do not think we will be staying here again
It is sad as everyone was looking forward to this trip but we got stuck in the basement pretty much

Very disappointing, more like an old apartment complex, Room need upgrade. Bed was lumpy and small, a double, carpet was old ceiling over shower was caving in, couch was old and uncomfortable. Not returning.

Staff were very friendly and helpful! Ammenities were above expectation. The internet connection was quite poor but we didn’t mind at all. The rooms were very spacious and cozy. Will defintely go back.

They are hidden in beautiful ridge. The unit we stayed in had full kitchen, which comes in handy when travelling with little ones. Outdoor pool and hot tub is a hit, just make sure to book your time in advance. We would stay again

A shout out to Mikhail, he was a great host who was very helpful and has a wonderful attitude. Hidden Ridge is a great place to stay at and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fair price with great views and amazing rooms. 10/10 I will stay here again.

Very nice place! Gorgeous views, and walk ways EVERYWHERE! ️️ The room was quite nice, and it was great having a little dishwasher in there! Beds were so cozy, and nice white clean sheets and blankets. The ONLY thing I would do different next time is get an upstairs room, because the people above us were a little loud the second night (but that doesn't reflect on the resort itself, was just a younger group above us that stayed up late for may long!) Over all was a great experience!

Mikhail was an awesome helper at the resort. He provided a dog bed, bowl for water and bags for waste. Was helpful in guiding us about getting playing cards and was very kind with us.

NOW THIS PLACE IS ONE OF THE ULTIMATE TO STAY EYE SAY AS YOU ARE ON TOP OF A MOUNTAIN LIKE AREA RESORT AN THE VIEW IS AMAZIMG. MOTHER NATURE ALWAYS GOOD FOR THE SOUL

Not bad. But the parking slot are terrible. You are check-in but no guaranteed parking slot for you and if you have visitors. Its not organized parking. Rooms and personnel’s they all good.

Location is great! Service exceptionnel. Even during this covid time they are accommodating. Looking forward to our next visit

The staff is amazing, Mikhail was great in taking care of any needs we asked and was a treat to talk to. He is an asset that is needed in other resorts I have stayed at. Top self

Family room is very nice and with wood fired fireplace. Outdoor hot tubs are pretty awesome with a spectacular views of the mountains

Extra happy about the Rocky Mountain soap supplies in the bathroom.

The private hot tubs rooms had the best views in Banff. The maintenance of the rooms is below average, and are older. But with wood fireplaces and a private hot tub on your balcony. From what I've found so far no other hotel has that. You will pay around $500 a night.

I had a great stay! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a pet friendly condo and they provided us a complimentary toy to keep, a bed, water dishes and poop bags for our pup.

Admittedly the condo is a bit dated, but the resort more than makes up for it by going above and beyond expectations. I'm definitely returning as soon as I can.

Friendly staff. Wish there was a little more space to book the pool and hot tub not just once per visit. Otherwise beautiful pool and hot tub area. Nice to stay off the beaten path. We will return!

The staff is very friendly! Especially the main fence fellow Brian! The hot tub is beautiful but the rooms are below average.considering they sell and advertise as a “resort” I was expecting far more in terms of comfort and luxury.

The photos they use on the booking websites are not even close to what you get. You get an outdated apartment with an uncomfortable tiny love seat for two and that’s it. The beds are very uncomfortable. Truly not much to write home about.

Our first room had a heating issue, but the front desk staff, (Dina i believe her name was), was so great and helped us get into another room within the hour. Great service, and the outdoor pool views are amazing!

We checked in Saturday April 3,2021- I was told when I called to reserve the room that we could use the hot tub or pool/sauna one time during our stay. I confirmed that we were saying 2 nights and would like to go in the hot tub each night. I was told to confirm on arrival the times and days. When we arrived at 230 pm we were told we could only have it one time for our whole stay (for only 1/2 hour), and that Saturday was was already full (the day we arrived). This is not what I was told, or what I paid close to $700.00 for. I was upset and told the girl what I had been told, her response “it’s posted on our website, nothing I can do”. Then she took $100.00 to hold the room, and advised me the room wasn’t ready and we couldn’t check in until 4: 30 pm and then let me know there won’t be any housekeeping provided during our stay. The room (#103) was hunkered in a dungeon like basement, the bathroom was too small to even turn around in (likewise for the bed) with a comforter likened to a sheet! The furniture should go to the dump because we literally couldn’t sit on it without pain. The room was not clean, and was showing poor maintenance as well (mold, stains, chips and rips). I’ve stayed before and have provided rave reviews and couldn’t wait to return. Not this time, poor service & terrible room! We actually left a day early, I didn’t even try and ask for the room charge to be reimbursed, as I’m sure it would have been another disappointing responses like - it’s on their website that they can’t help that either. The hot tub is all they have to offer.and the closest I got to it was outside the fence looking in at the two people in the pool. My birthday and Easter was ruined, not impressed, will never be back and I’ll be informing my friends of the same. Don’t waste your money, lots of nicer, far more comfortable places to stay in Banff.
