Absolutely the best service ever, spent the weekend there, house keeper did an absolute stellar job at taking care of the room.

This hotel charges a 'tourism levy' of $6.63 and a 'destination marketing fee' of $4.83. This was not disclosed when I booked the hotel by calling the hotel DIRECTLY. I did NOT book through a third party service. I will never stay here again.

It was my first trip to Edmonton. Stayed at the Garden Inn. Great place to stay. Stayed there for 4 nights. Very centralalized

I think breakfast should be free and anything hot extra. And since it's not I should be able to get it to go! Since I'm paying 18$. Waitress was very rude and snotty.

If there was a minus I would give it minus 10. I will be contacting the board of health for sure. Very unsanitary and not to forget the water got mildly warm at best and should not be allowed to operate a business that way. When I questioned the temperature and I am not exaggerating I was told it was normal. Maybe 70 degrees at best. Bathroom was littered with hair from the previous guests and fridge had left over opened pop. Terrible

Enjoyed the stay. Rooms were clean, mattress comfortable. Pool and hot tub were good. Service was friendly.

We reserved a hotel block through them for our wedding. Corey was so accommodating and nice to work with! Everything went so smoothly:)

Stayed here one night this past weekend.

Pros:

(1) Good location. Nice, clean rooms with good air conditioning.

Cons:

(1) No air conditioning throughout lobby, hallways or elevators (can be extremely tough during warm days).

(2) Bring your own toothpaste! I asked front desk for toothpaste and they said it’s only available for purchase in lobby. They tried to charge $7.00 for a travel sized Colgate! Unreal.

(3) Front desk had an Asian lady who couldn’t even tell me what time the pool opens or closes. She said “she’s new”. This place should train their staff to know basic information. Her answer to any question of mine ended with “I think”. She wasn’t sure about anything. It’s not her fault though because it’s on the Hotel manager to train her.

(4) getting a hold of the front desk for any requests is not easy. Took me three tries before someone answered the phone. I asked for two bottles of water and he was quick in bringing them to my room (however, the water was WARM).

Room was not very clean, with a odd smell. Even the lobby furniture had enough dust to write your name. Not what we expect from hilton at all. Close to airport was the best thing about it.

Decent rooms with fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, desk and safe. Friendly staff, particularly the room cleaners and buffet hosts. Near West Ed Mall, so lots of restaurants. Few sidewalks though, not meant for walking in the area.

One elevator does not work. They sprayed air freshener too much. It's really overwhelming. Two cups were given in each room.

Weird thing to complain about.but there was a note on the mirror that said I had to request to have your room cleaned, next day my room was cleaned, I asked and was told it was a covid notice.it did not mention covid.also why it is still up and confusing the guests?

I usually stay at the Home2 or Double Tree on 170th but I gave this place a try since the price looked good and the reviews seemed positive.

I'll give this a full breakdown:

The room we had was a suite, separate king bedroom to the main area, had two bathrooms which was very awesome for us, had a jet tub which was awesome also. The room was very clean and well taken care of but is older in style which didn't bother me at all.

The room has a ton of towels and they still use small soaps and lotions which i prefer over the wall mounted units.
-

The room service menu is on the QR, which wasn't hard to find but I felt it could have been better. Some places I've been, you can order from the QR.
The room service process is not as good as other places. There is no direct room service line, it says dial 001, but 001 only gets you to the front. I dialed it 4 times and always got front desk who had to redirect me each time. Not a big deal but worth a mention.

The food from room service was exceptional in portion, I always order nachos at new places because I can really judge a restaurant by how much cheese they put on and how much effort they put into toppings. My nachos came tri stacked with cheese layered and a great portion of toppings with lots of sour cream and salsa. That's a 5 out of 5 in my book.
The person who delivered really was friendly and went the extra mile which was awesome.

The second night we ordered room service we ordered a club house and a chicken burger with balsamic or something it comes with a ciabatta. Instead we got two clubhouses so we called and addressed the mistake and the person came up a few moments later with a Cajun chicken burger instead (which was still the wrong item) my wife ate as much as she could but it wasn't what she wanted and we didn't want to call a third time to complain so she ate my onion rings and her side.

-

When we went for breakfast downstairs the process was a bit confusing, there is a ton of places to sit and they have a bit of a blend between self serve and full serve. Not really a big deal but I felt like usually self serve for breakfast should just be complimentary like most places are. Or if it's full serve then go 100% that way and don't do a bit of both.

-

The pool is a salt water pool I hear, but unfortunately it was closed when we stayed so I can't review it further. However when we went down to it the catering across the hall was super friendly to us and acknowledged us.

-

Front desk, on checkout I had told the Manager that we had an excellent experience but the room service the one night was a bit of a pinch point for my wife. He went above and beyond in the compensation for us. It was not expected to the level he went but in these difficult times in the economy and considering we had brought our daughter for a medical thing from very far away, it really meant a lot to us.

-

We will be back, as we come every 6 months for medical. This will be our go to from now on.

Room was clean
Bed was comfy
Breakfast is served at 7AM on weekends, not much good for people who work on weekends.

The beds are horrible. Menu in room doesn’t match what you get charged. I had chicken fingers and fries and threw all fries away. Got charged $18 for chicken fingers and fries
I’d stay away from this place. We canceled our remaining 2 days and went to the Best Western across Stony plain RD and paid $60 less for better accommodation.

In response to the Hilton follow up. To clarify the chicken fingers in the room menu shows $9 each. Plus the 3% and a $3 tip to deliver. When I placed the order I told them I’d pick them up at the restaurant instead of them delivering.
Regarding the room we were originally in the king suit and I did tell the staff the bed sucked and I asked to move to another room. We moved to a double queen room and the beds there were garbage as well.

Needless to say this hotel will never see me ever again. It’s the worst experience I had.

Alongside the hilton name I guess we had higher expectations. This hotel did not impress us at all. Although we were welcomed with friendly staff the rooms are very outdated and they could have been much cleaner. Our jacuzzi suite did not have robes and the tvs were small and were also in very awkward parts of the room. The breakfast could have been great if the chef wouldn't have majorly overcooked my eggs but the selection of what to eat was nice. We decided that we would find a different hotel next time since there are many close by hotels to choose from.

This is my home away from home! I love staying for a few days when I attend appointments in Edmonton. Great place to destress

This hotel was rough. I thought a hotel under the Hilton name would be decent, but everything about our stay was awful.
- the beds are incredibly hard. If you like sleeping on a slab of wood this might be the place for you, otherwise I would avoid it.
- The pillows were flat, hard, feather pillows that never fluffed up. Along with the hard bed this made for a very uncomfortable sleep. They did give us some foam pillows the second night after we called the front desk to ask, but the front desk had to call me back 20 minutes after I had made the request to ask me what I had asked for.
- the rooms are older and don't have any USB outlets in the room. The front desk also doesn't have any outlet USB blocks, so if you don't have one there is nothing they can do.
- there is no air conditioning and the temperature doesn't go below 18.5. Luckily the window can be opened a bit.
- in our room the heater was LOUD. Like it would be fine the first minute or two after you turned it on then it was a constant loud screaming sound.
- the hot tub was very dirty with dead skin making a visible film on the top of the hot tub when the "jets" (if you can call them that) turned off. It was also very shallow so you were sitting a little scrunched up. It is also not very warm and very small for the size of the hotel.
- the pool room looked like it was falling apart.the pool needs a good scrub around the tiles, there is paint peeling off the walls, and the door is all rusted.
- if you have a last name with a period or dash, the wifi wont let you log in.

Honestly just skip this hotel. It is not an enjoyable or comfortable stay and for the price you can find something much nicer.

This hotel is below average compared to other Hilton Garden Inn that I stayed before.
There's no A/C in the lobby and hallways. It was 30c+ plus today. The the front desk staff had to keep their fans blasting to stay cool.
The room was obviously renovated not too long ago. There were three pillows for the bed, which is odd. The A/C unit in the room is quite loud.
Location is closed to West Edmonton Mall, about 5 minutes drive away.
