Fantastic customer service! Purchased a Thule rack from them years ago. Was having some issues with my rack whistling, they helped me determine the problem and helped me with a solution right away. Highly recommended!

The Hitch Shop suggested a Draw-Tite hitch that was later recalled as defective. $4000 in damage to my car. Hitch shop washed their hands of it and won't even offer a refund. AVOID THIS SHOP - TERRIBLE SERVICE.

These folks are the best. I broke the tow hitch on our motorhome in Alaska. NO one up north could do anything for me in. Reasonable amt of time. So I called these fine folks and made an appt. The new hitch is AWESOME. Same hitch they put on medium duty trucks. That was yesterday.
Today they are “fixing” the base plate on the car that keeps loosening up.

I have used the Hitch Shop several times and each time they have more than exceeded my expectations. I needed a 2"hitch fitted to my VW.i phoned up and they were able to do it almost immediately and at a very reasonable price. Service was super friendly and efficient and they remembered me from last time. Bob runs a very fine business. While there I also got lots of good advice from Darren about a bike rack, got a good price, and they installed that for me too. Real pleasure doing business here.

Wanted a hitch installed, said it would take two hours, ended up taking over five and I had to cancel on work clients. If they were just honest about time I could have scheduled differently.

Under promise and over deliver not the other way around.

We had a hitch that wasn't working and meant we couldn't safely tow the trailer in for service. Bob made a house call and saved the day (and saved us a lot of money and hassle). Amazing customer service! Can't recommend enough. We'll be back:)

I was promised my car at 1pm it is now 2.40pm and I missed a client appointment putting me $200 outta pocket!
They gave me no information prior to the install or options for the correct fit to my vehicle. I stuoidly rhought they would have a hitch that fit my car.
The hitch looks like it has been attached to my bumper and not inside it. They did not use the hitch holes designed specifically for that purpose. The belongings in my car seem to have been rummaged through and my seating is outta place.
Not happy, I requested the hitch to be removed, but they have no customer satisfaction policy. I am told it is mine now and it will cost to remove!
So angry and upset with this company!

Bob was so helpful as we purchased a new weight distribution hitch. He explained the differences between the hitches at different price points, which helped us make a decision about what was best suited for us.

Installation went quickly, finishing in about half an hour because we were there first thing in the morning.

The shop carries tons of camping accessories, including related products like bike racks.

I called 3 times to get my hitch installed, on the 3 occasions I recieved the exact same amount quoted from 3 different people,

After the installation work was done they increased my invoice by 15-20%.

Definitely not justified, a business with no integrity, they made extra money but they lost a customer for life.

These guys are great. I believe i was dealing with Bob. Would recommend this place to anyone!

I have been dealing with this company for over 20 years and I have never had a reason to not go back. I guess the length of time says that.

Ever since my fist time getting an after market trailer hitch I have found that the service with The Hitch Shop has been fantastic. They have always clearly understood what I was asking for, and provided fast and efficient service. I had recently purchased a new hitch (May 19) and on June 2nd, I was struck by two separate vehicles destroying my wheelchair carrier. I immediately called in and asked about what kinds of damage I might expect and if they could inspect it for me, and provide a quote for the insurance company.

On the phone, they said it could be worse than they might be capable of seeing or fixing, but when I explained the situation, they told me to bring it in for an inspection. After a once over, they said that I should replace the hitch after a strike due to hidden damage, but there was no vehicle damage. I got everything sorted with my insurance company, and when I went down to get it replaced, it took less time than they said.

I am in a wheelchair, and when I got there, Bob was wonderful enough to help me find a place to park, because the lot was full, and when it was time to go, the workers in the back put the car in a place I couldn't get into it. I asked Bob if he could send someone to back it up for me so I could get it, he was more than understanding, and had someone out to help me in a very short time.

All in all, it was another wonderful experience dealing with them. I highly recommend anyone looking for a hitch to go here, you won't get a company that gives better service or knows the products better.

The folks here are greasier than a used car salesman. They’ll sing, dance and sweet talk their way into doing the work and leave you hanging with zero post sale follow up after you’ve paid. I’ll never get any work done at these guys ever again!

Arrogance, lack of trust and integrity in their own words or job. Avoid these guys unless you want the run around and having to spent countless amount of time and money. They never provide the proper quote for the job and you’ll most likely end up having to follow up with your own dealership to sort out issues. Even the owner Bob does not live up to his promise….

Our experience dealing with the hitch shop south location
was amazing. We had issues with are thule cross bars for are Subaru outback wilderness, that support our iKamper. We were leaving for trip Friday. Darren was able to help both my wife and I today. We communicated by texting showing pictures of our roof racks. Later the same day he was able to see the problem and correct it. The service with everyone there from the initial phone call, to directing us to Darren, to solving the problem was above and beyond. Very thankful for the hitch shop service and I will plan on buying all my bike racks, ski thules and whatever else we need from them in the future. Thanks again Jeff

SHADY BAIT AND SWITCH business tactic! DONT get ripped off like many did how shady to say a price on the phone and end up paying 250+ MORE and that shady owner kept arguing with me thats what they said on the phone lying to my face.took it home right after thelights on the trailer don't even work.
Their owner BOB supports the lying tactics, I guess that’s what keep them in the business these days.
Shady business unfortunately doing it legally can't do much about but let the new customers know

I needed a new roof rack for a camping trip and Darren was amazing to work with. He was the only person in Calgary that could get me the roof rack I needed for my car within 2 days just in time for my trip and installed it for me the same day it came in, everyone else told me 2-3 weeks. They also had the best prices for the roof rack I was looking for. Thanks guys!

Darren was an absolute life saver. In under 10 minutes, he helped us tighten and secure our Thule crossbars and ikamper without any hesitation. We talked to other places that were going to charge a ridiculous amount to give us a hand because we were not actually purchasing anything. He really pulled through and saved us a lot of time and money. We cannot thank him enough.

I had a hitch installed on my vehicle that I purchased from a different source. The Hitch Shop was not bias of this in any way. They fit me in very quickly (same day) on the Friday before a long weekend. This surprised me, as i thought for sure they'd be very busy. When I arrived, they were busy, but I could tell they were very helpful to all the customers. They were very friendly and welcoming and made checking my vehicle in a breeze. It's took an hour, and we went to Chinook Mall to walk around and grab a bite to eat while we waited. The cost was fair, cheaper than other locations that I was quoted at. They did an excellent job, and now we are able to pack our bikes with us wherever we go!
