Friendly and efficient service, I left my vehicle with confidence and on both occasions felt very confident and happy with the work they did. And it definitely didn't cost nearly what I thought it was going to! They were very accommodating of a newbie like me.

Lets start by saying that som e places know their jobs craft etc. My daughter who has an older forester 2011 needed a hitch and tried b ack in Kamloops at the Uhaul. They treated he badly and don't know how to mount her hitch told it would cost more. Frustrated she came to visit us in Alberta and I called the Hitch shop who setup and appointment. She told them the problems and they mounted the hitch with no issues. Friendly efficient and on time, quote. Just go here for all your hitch needs they will take care of you!

Had a 7-pin plug and a brake controller added to my Lincoln navigator.

The seven pin plug pushes so hard on the bumper cover to cover the receiver that it ended up snapping and now it's going to cost me $250 for a replacement part

All they would have had to do was install the plug differently

The shop is friendly and quick, but the attention to detail was poor. The bumper cutouts were rough and haphazard, making it difficult and painful to access the hitch key. The fasteners they used to reinstall the rear kick sensor were installed poorly, and the bumper cover was put back on so that it didn't align with the body panels. This was an expensive hitch, and I expected a better install.

Good prices but quality isn't there. Destroyed the paint job on my car. Took 3 hours to install. Wich is more then fine. And my cars not a gem but if you like your car or truck you would probably be very upset

Very fast and efficient, I'm happy with the quality and knowing that these guys know their business.

Got a hitch installed and purchased a bike rack within 30 minutes at my appointment. They even showed me how to use the rack properly which definitely makes my life easier!
The prices were also the lowest for the parts + installments from what I could find in Calgary/online for Thule.
Can't wait to get out with my bikes, thank you for the excellent service!

The installation and the product was good! No question. My suggestion for improvement is about the place itself. The lady is by herself handling several phone calls and people simultaneously. They clearly need someone else there. There is no waiting area as most professional places have for their customers and there is dust everywhere. Also it needs a decent refurbishment. Please accept my suggestions as means of improving your services. They will give you more customers.

I called in to ask about a hitch and bike rack and was told to bring the trailer in the next Tuesday. I took the trailer in and was told that they could not do it that day, but to bring it back again the next Tuesday (yesterday). When I asked how long it would take to do I was told that it should be done that day or by Wednesday at the latest. I took the trailer back again yesterday for the appt. When I called this afternoon I was told that the hitch and the bike rack were not complete yet and when asked if they had started the reply was no, but they would be this afternoon and it will be ready tomorrow morning. I explained that this would not work for us and that I would be coming to get the trailer right away. After arriving and talking to the girl in the front explaining my displeasure we started to drive around back to get the trailer and were met at the gate by a staff member driving a completed vehicle out to park We made sure we were out of his way but he decided to throw his arms up in disgust at us as we drove past. We hooked up and left and will NEVER be back again! This place has the worst customer service! I strongly recommend finding somewhere else for you hitch needs! We had an appt and 2 days later it still hadn't been worked on.

I made a booking for noon to have a simple hitch installed. I was told it will take about an hour. I went away for a walk, came back and my vehicle had not been touched. Long story short, it took another complete hour for them to do this simple install, and not one apology from anyone. The install seems to have been done very well, but the level of service at this locatoin has a lot to be desired. I would have much preferrd if they did not take an appointment but rather had me drop the vehicle off for the entire day.and perhaps a little empathy around keeping me waiting so long would have been nice.

I have to say that these guys really know their stuff. No one else found a hitch that would work for my Mercedes ML320 diesel, but Brahman did. He and Chris knew how to make it work, old school. Great job, and very competitive.

Bought an expensive Thule hitch mount bike rack (platform style) from them.
The front desk lady was very knowledgeable and patient with me.
The tall gentleman in the back even assembled the rack, mounted it on my SUV and took time to show me how to use it all at no extra cost.

We had the best experience at the Hitch Shop - North today. It's rare these days to find a business that really acts like it wants your service but this place was awesome. Linda was knowledgeable, informative and took the time to explain things to us without making us feel rushed (being newbies to fifth wheel hitches). Outstanding customer service. We will definitely be singing their praises to all our new RV friends. Thanks Linda.

Went and bought a tow wiring harness and I was very specific when giving information on vehicle specific make model and year
Go to install it and there are issues and when I look on YouTube I found I was given the wrong part Return part for refund and after having to be quite insistent I did not want a different wiring harness I was given my refund
For $10 dollars more I bought part from dealer
So 2 plus hours of my time and all driving involved leaves a bad taste for the inconvenience this business caused me

Super helpful. Not the friendliest first impression but it's probably because we looked like we were lost. Anyway, they did not hesitate to assist once they knew we really needed assistance. Checked our trailer connection on the suv without charge. Grately appreciated! Will be back for other trailer needs for sure!

Great service and really friendly staff! The mounted my new trailer brake controller in EXACTLY the place I asked them to and it is a very clean looking installation! I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone!

I had purchased accessories from this location previously and had enjoyed a positive experience and friendly service. I recently bought a brand new truck and needed a brake controller to tow a small holiday trailer that I am renting for two weeks and decided on Hitch Shop North for the controller and installation. I showed up to my appointment and was very underwhelmed by the woman working the counter. She was very aloof and sarcastic. I was never asked what I would be towing or how often I would be towing it. When she put callers on hold, she would make sarcastic comments to no one in particular, but loud enough for the three customers waiting to hear her remarks. The showroom was dirty/dusty and disorganized. Open boxes of stock were scattered around the floor. It gave the impression they were halfway through a bad inventory count, or going out of business. The waiting area had materials stacked on the couch and chairs leaving limited seating area. When two customers sat in the chair, they each commented there was no support in the seat of the chair and they thought they were falling through. Once my vehicle was ready, I paid and went out to find a horrible hack job of the installation. The controller was mounted directly on to the lower dash cover below the ignition. The truck keys now bang into the controller. The installer drilled two holes directly through the lower dash cover of my brand new truck with no consultation or approval of the controller location. The controller can be removed when not in use, but the position it was installed in made it almost impossible to lift the retaining clip to disconnect the wiring harness. I removed the mounting bracket as well and found that the screws used to install the controller were almost three inches long! A little overkill. I now have two very large, unsightly, crooked, drill/screw holes in the lower dash of my new truck. I will not use this company again.
