Our dream er died on us unexpectedly and with two toddlers we needed a solve quick. Hobby appliances home Ltd had a refurbished dryer delivered in 2 days and it works great past the 3 month warranty which was a great piece of mind!

We bought a standup fridge. The compressor had failed. We were able to bring it in. The technician was able to look at it source the problem. Get parts and had it fixed in a short amount of time. Was very happy with the service and quality. The price and Quality on their next new fridges is excellent

My family was in desperate need of a washing machine. We went to visit this store and we were impressed with the cleanliness and the condition of appliances in the store (the reason for giving a star). We purchased a washing machine for a good price and arranged for delivery 7 days later on a Saturday. We notified the lady at the store that our laundry room was upstairs and that our current washing machine was on a pedestal that we intended to keep. We asked her if anything needed to be done beforehand before the delivery guys came. She said “no”. I asked about the time of delivery for the following weekend and the time range was set for 10: 00am-1: 00pm. I didn’t get a call during the week or on Friday to confirm so I I phoned on Saturday morning and theowner/delivery guy said it wouldn’t happen until the next day. The guy kept telling me he’d call me back with a timeframe and confirmation but never called me or texted. I had to keep calling him multiple times to make arrangements for the next day delivery. And never once on the phone during all those calls did he ever ask me about where in the house our laundry room was or if it was stand alone or on a pedestal.
Next day comes and they arrive. The owner was immediately angry with us because the washer was on a pedestal. He said he was going to haul away everything. I told him that it was worth $300 and we aren’t giving it away for free. He said he didn’t have the proper tools to disassemble it from the washer and accused us of not telling the lady at the store. From the beginning he was argumentative and aggressive. He was rude, unfriendly and took no accountability as a business owner for all the mistakes made on their part. I kindly asked him what kind of tool he may need in case we had it and my husband and I could help disassemble. Again he got mad and said he didn’t have time for it and that we were causing him to be late for his next deliveries. His only solution that he could come up with was that he would have to return at a later date with the proper tools and charge us another $100 for the extra labor. After being treated so horribly and this owner being so rude and unprofessional…accusing us of lying and yelling at us in our home, we declined and thought it so ridiculous this was the only sort of appeasing he could offer. So he decided to take away the washer away and I had to demand my refund and also keep calling him for my money back.
This was the most awful experience we’ve ever had. Public be very aware and cautious.

I bought a fridge from them back in August, there Service is excellent along with the price. Delivery was prompt and within the time promised. The owner who repairs the appliance is very knowledgable. All staff are polite and respectfull and great products. I will be taking a friend to purchase appliance. Thank you

I bought a fridge there for my rental in Feb. It got frost and we called for services. The technician was always busy. He came twice but couldn't fix it. The problem is still there. My tenant decided to get another one recently.

They were very good at communicating the delivery. As I was unable to be there for the scheduled delivery, I left the door unlocked and they texted me when they arrived, when the install was complete and when they left. The oven works great, and the only negative is that the drawer doesn’t stay on the tracks.

Hobby appliances is a great option if you want a refurbished refrigerator or stove. They have almost same prices as sellers on Marketplace or Kijiji. They provide 3 months warranty also. Carlos is great guy and helped me deliver within one hour.

Purchased a Kenmore Elite Fridge from Hobby after visiting 3 similar stores. He had the one I wanted at the price I wanted. After 2 weeks, I found a problem that he could not have known when I purchased it. He came out the next day and fixed it at no cost, no hesitiation, no hassle. He certainly honours his warranty. We will be buying other appliances from him in the future.

I purchased a reconditioned fridge from Carlos. 3 months later it stopped working. He replaced it with no hassle or fighting. Very nice to see someone who stands behind their work. Highly recommend

I called Carlos to repair my GE fridge. He was able to come same day, he already had all parts with him and got it fixed in 1 hours. His pricing is reasonable. I am absolutely happy and recommend this company!

Bought a refrigerator from here and there was an issue with it. They did not care to provide any service or solution to the problem. I guess if you buy it and something doesnt work its your problem to fix not theirs. Poor service in my opinion and definitely do not recommend!

I had my refrigerator gradually starting to lose cooling ability. It turned mildly cool from properly cold. I did some basics: cleaned the coils, defrosted, but this didn't work.
I contacted Hobby Appliances via Kijiji. Carlos was responsive. I like that he tried to be upfront with the costs and transparent about possible outcomes. He made sure I knew that the actual findings may be different as it's one thing to diagnose on the phone and quite another to actually inspect the issue directly.
I can tell the honest, hardworking attitude. It took about 1.5hrs to fix the fridge on Sunday. Carlos had all the necessary tools, arrived on time.
I would use their services again if I had to. I can recommend Hobbes Appliances for repair.

We purchased a fridge and the appliance was in good working condition. The delivery was fast as we needed it urgently and they also communicated well throughout the process.

I called Hobby Appliances early Monday morning about one of their refrigerators. I spoke with Carlos, who was extremely helpful. He was able to send me pictures of the fridge I was talking about to confirm we were both speaking of the same fridge, and agreed to same day delivery all the way out in Airdrie. He arrived on time and had the old fridge removed and the new one in place in less than an hour, even though the fridge was in a very tight place. The 6 month warrenty is also a bonus on a used refrigerator. You would not find that elsewhere. I would recommend Hobby Appliances to anyone!

Bad experience - had agreed on a price and time with Carlos to fix my fridge then he increased the service call fee. When I asked for a receipt he flaked and refused to come. Not impressed

Company was easy to deal with. The Fridge we chose was clean and in great working condition. We went and looked at it during the evening and were offered deliver that very evening. In a span of 2 hours, we had picked the fridge and had it installed. Delivery was easy. The owners were very careful of our doors and walls. Through the whole process they were professional and courteous. When I was stocking the new fridge one of the inside door compartments broke off (which could have been my fault) The owner found another one for me free and did not charge us for it. All in all a very good experience. I would buy from them again for sure.

I like to use smaller businesses but I have been burnt on occasion. I called this company and spoke to Carlos a very pleasant and professional! I told him our ice maker was leaking and our fridge is older and I didn’t want to invest in a new ice maker and a month later the fridge stops working. Carlos said was probably the solenoid valve and he would be out next morning. He was on time with the part we would need. He installed the part and charged me a very reasonable price for the service call and part. That afternoon no ice. I texted him and he said he would be back later that afternoon. When he arrived he replaced the part again left again. Still no ice! He apologized and said he would replace our ice maker the next day which he did. He came again with a replacement ice maker and installed it. This ice maker works just fine. Carlos made all these calls plus installed another ice maker for us for the original amount we paid. We are on a fixed income, we very much appreciate the service this man provided to us. If I need more repairs to our fridge I will be calling Hobby Appliance. This man cares and has a lot of integrity. I will recommend Carlos to my friends and family.if you are looking for a used fridge or repairs I highly recommend Hobby Appliance

Great place to buy a used fridge hassle free. Got our fridge delivered on a Saturday morning, and they took out our old fridge as well. All for a great price! The fridge has been working great so far, and it comes with a 6 month warranty on the cooling system in case something goes wrong. Would definitely go back to them for other appliances!

I purchased a fridge that ended up having a compressor failure. The follow up from them was quick, courteous and effective. The fridge was quickly replaced with one better than I had originally purchased. I have had a very good experience with them.

Very impressed with the job they did getting our new fridge in and out old fridge out. Very careful and aware of not damaging doors and walls.
Met at about 6.30pm to view the fridge and once we decided to buy it they managed to have it in place in our house by 8pm that same day. Fantastic!
