All is great. Rooms are nice and clean. Pool is awesome. Only downside ia breakfast. No buffet. Restaurant with limited options and any additional juice or coffe will be charged separately. No option to pick and choose your food.
Had a great week here with the kids. Pool was fun and the room was clean and spacious. The continental breakfast was good and plenty of variety. Staff were helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend
The lady that checked us in was very welcoming and efficient. She was very apologetic that the room was not ready but it was only a 5 minute wait so it was not a big deal. This was probably my 3rd or 4th stay in this particular property but she still highlighted all their amenities and went through what were my benefits for being a Diamond Elite member. She was a superstar!
I was also given a complimentary upgrade to Jacuzzi suite. Very generous of them!
The complimentary breakfast for 2 was another great benefit and it was amazing and the service was perfect.
I requested a late check out at noon and was refused as they said they were pretty busy. It was just an hour extension and could have been easily accommodated so that was a let down. I understand that they were at capacity that day but the cleaner was not even close to my room when I left.
This property’s location is very convenient to where we usually go while in the city and it has overall better aesthetics but might choose the sister property just a few steps away the next time around.
Would have given a 5* score as I still had a great stay but was disappointed about the late check out incident.
I always stay here when I am flying out of Edmonton. The staff and service are great, the rooms are modern and clean, and it's a 5 minute drive to the airport. The staff can arrange shuttles for you to the airport as well. If you get the rooms facing the train tracks, it can be a bit noisy, but the hotel will provide earplugs to help with that.
Front desk staff who was training another personnel handled customer interactions unprofessionally, the idea that the new would be learning from “Lyla” is laughable. She was not solution oriented to any of the issues that arose, and seemed quite agitated and contributed to escalating the situation. It must have made other guests feel uncomfortable seeing staff conduct themselves like that.
I had a interview appt here with Amazon. The concierge was very kind, pointed me on my way to the designated halls. Used the bathroom. So clean! Smelled great. Lots of parking too!
Our Flair airlines flight had suffered mechanical issues forcing us to stay overnight and scramble for unreserved hotel rooms at nearby hotels on a Thanksgiving Monday. Several passengers arrived all at once to a very overwhelmed front desk Attendant who knew nothing about the sudden incoming influx of passengers all in the same situation entering the hotel from the airport shuttle.telling each of us there was no reservations to be found. To make matters worse another guest had placed a 911 call from Up in her room sending 2 RCMP units flying through the hotel lobby. Needless to say the clerk was having a tough day. Several Of us prompted her to get her manager in there which took a good hour. Once she arrived though we found a very kind woman who was determined to help us all and using every resource at her disposal to figure things out to get us all in there and set up finally finding our reservations from Flair had come in on the Travel Alliance booking system.
The rooms were clean with comfy beds and the pool was nice with a big water slide lots of fun for the kiddies while still fairly shallow with no significant deep end. Our flight was early so we missed breakfast but the manager made sure that paper bag breakfast was available which contained cereal bars fruit muffins and juice perfect to grab on the go. I’m sure it was just a combination of the holiday with a newer staff member who hadn’t had the chance to be filled in on every single protocol which is understandable in the post Covid hospitality industry these days. I still Give 5 stars for their wonderful manager who made everything right in the end. Keep being you! Cheers Dan
Called ahead of time told pool working / pool Was not functioning out of order. When you have kids it’s important. Had the king size suite with jacuzzi and jacuzzi had bad seals leading to leak to floor below had maintenance man barge into bedroom with my wife and daughter after he was asked to leave the room. Went downstairs to explain issue to the front desk when maintenance man came around the corner and got visibly upset and was very confrontational. Fireplace did not work / jacuzzi now out of order / pool and hotub out of order ……… If you have kids or want to swim just stay away
Our check in was very smooth because of the front desk person called JERRILY. She is courteous and helpful. The rooms are very clean with clean bedsheets and clean bathroom.
If you do stay here, be aware that rooms facing west towards the highway. Are as well facing the train tracks. Ear plugs are supplied by the hotel, but even so we were awakened on a couple occasions throughout the night.
The rooms are well appointed and the bed was comfortable. With the drapes over the window mounted air conditioning unit, there was a bit of light coming in.
We booked the airport shuttle for 5: 30am. In the morning the shuttle is not just for this hotel and it was a bit delayed departing.
They were very accommodating and check in was smooth and quick. 2nd time here. We'll stay again. Close to airport too. Lots of parking options. Very clean. Nicole was very nice and helped with a special request.
Worth the stay close to airport and town. Has shuttle service available staff very nice and welcoming beds comfy and rooms Cleaned also recommend to try the eclipse restaurant located at their restaurant really good food.
Nice and Clean hotel. I have visited this place a few times over the past few weeks. They clean the rooms everyday and staff are very friendly. Rooms are very neat and so is the gym and pool. My son loved swimming at the pool.
Rates are low, very friendly service, rooms are small but work, free breakfast is all right and the lady who runs it works hard, amenities are okay, there seems to be a heating issue as we can't turn the heat down so it gets pretty warm. Things seem to be wearing out. Our hockey team did okay here but probably won't go back.
After hellish drive of during the storm this was a little oasis of calm! The bed in the room was delightful, room itself was good, clean and presented well. Vending services need updating, snack machine only accepted coins, drinks machine only card but no machine accepted multiple cards, long dry hungry night was had. Breakfast offering for the price was pathetic! Hot offerings of sausage and cheese omelette, somewhat the let down!
Apart from the hunger strike during the storm a pleasant stay was had. Thanks you.
Excellent hôtel. Le staff est très gentil et les installations sont correct, le lit est confortable. Peut-être moderniser les chambres et ajouter des prises de recharge USB.
We usually use Hi when we fly into Edmonton. Nice rooms, good price, close to Montana"s and Eclipse which is right beside. Convenience store just down the road for supplies.
A very good hotel for families who just wants to relax and chillout.
I personally like their swimming pool with the slides because our son and my friend's kids had great fun using the slides and the swimming pool (due to COVID restrictions, there is a limit to the of guests allowed inside).
The room we had was also spaceous and very clean.
The only inconvenience that we had (although just minor) was the sound of the train's horn passing by (during our stay, I counted about 3 trains) - the hotel's location was nearby the train track.
Another bonus: the Premier Outlet was just 5 minutes away from the hotel (and Costco was also nearby)
We loved this hotel for its cleanliness, great front desk staff (Danika) and of course the pool. However our last stay changed my entire view - We were next door to a lady whom was screaming horrible things (she would kill someone/kids/family, swearing, other threats) from 9pm till nearly 5am waking us up in a panic. We called the front desk around 5am and complained and even asked if they could do a wellness check. They phoned up to her room and must have informed her of our complaint. Feeling unsafe and uncomfortable we asked for a room change and were moved one room away. It did not solve the problem. The next day we checked out and at the off chance we ended up checking out at the same time. This lady screamed hateful, awful words at us scaring both the children and then ended up slamming her car door into my car door and kicking my car. The hotel was unable to provide any information so I could call the police. The lady nearly hit my sister pulling out.
They don’t have any safety or security policies and didn’t offer us the protection we had trusted in them to have. I do not feel safe here, I would never bring children here. There is one front desk lady whom was working when the incident happened who was useless and could clearly see her harassing us on hotel property but refrained from calling the police or helping.
I am so so hurt by this incident and feel as though my family has had to endure this awful women’s verbal and physical abuse so the hotel could make an extra $80 per night. I really ask more from you as a family oriented hotel.
No choice I breakfast items. No hot breakfast. Can you get someone at the front desk that might explain things more? No choices provided. All restrictions lifted. A hot breakfast but you are too cheap. Wish I could give zero stars
Modern room, 10% off the in house restaurant orders.
Pool closed and Restaurant closed due to Covid. I dislike the mini shampoo and conditioner bottles, since they are not restocked everyday due to covid and must be requested.
The rooms are not well sound proofed as you can hear outside and the adjacent rooms, voice level.
The bathroom is redone which was nice, but the the toilet rocks back and forth which is really loud, and I thought I broke the toilet.
TV system where you have to go channel 16 for the guide and it's not programmed into the remote. Lots of useless buttons, so finding something watch is kinda tedious. Especially with all the streaming services available.
The cleaning staff, are cleaning which is great, but when you hear it at 7 or 730 am makes it a little difficult to sleep in.
A huge plus was the towels. SUPER SOFT, Probably the softest that I have experienced at IHG hotels recently.
This one's for Kevin at the restaurant bar who made our stay memorable. This is just a regular Hotel, but Kevin's service and kindness are what keep us coming back.
First time here. My room faced railroad tracks and did not know this until 30min into sleep. Yeeks abruptly woke up to hear it coming thru the room. Other than that it was an ok stay. Free airport shuttle and a restaurant next door that was ok also. Nothing special here.
This hotel is a life saver. We walked in about midnight and they got us a room without a problem. Our hotel reservation across this hotel was a total disappointment and would rather have us sleep outside or in our vehicle with two toddlers after hours of driving from where we came from because they can't fix the issue with our reservation which isn't even our fault. But this hotel took us in with spacious room and comfy bed. I'd recommend this hotel to everybody. And swimming pool, well, a bonus.
Awesome customer service, flawless clean rooms great location. I stay here and many other places for work regularly and I'm always happiest to get a stay here
Great location, clean, comfortable beds, hot breakfast. Nice clean pool with water slide for the kids and the friendliest staff! Would definitely recommend this Hotel and would stay there again!
Let's get the cons out of the way, the elevator is slow and there's only one; and the wifi is very prone to dropping when you least want it too.
This is the only hotel I stay at when I travel up here because it's always clean, the pool is great for the kids, and it's close to work.
But the real gem of this hotel is the staff. They are so friendly, so nice to all of us it feels like we're coming home when we step through the doors.
I'd like to also give a special shout out to Mr. Ritchie at the front, I've never seen my kids be so sad to leave without being able to say goodbye, he made our trip more than special every day we were in there. I hope it all goes well for you sir with your travels, and if you're ever back in Canada or in the Houston area give us a shout.
Thanks so much!
Large comfortable room with keurig coffee. Excellent breakfast included as well as heated pool and hot tub. Very clean throughout with helpful staff. Allowed me a late checkout without hesitation. Each time I return to edmonton, this will be where I stay.
Fantastic friendly service, the rooms are comfortable, there's complementary coffee, tea and cookies are available. The pool and hot tub are right next to the exercise room which is handy.
We stayed here with a group and everyone enjoyed their stay. Friendly staff, comfortable beds and room was clean, quick service to the airport. This hotel was very close to the car rental. Everything worked smoothly! Would stay here again.
Front desk lady was fantastic! Friendly, funny & welcoming. Room was very nice - clean & tidy. The heater/air conditoner was unfortunately loud. Kept me up all night going on and off continually. Other than the heater the place is great.
Hotel rooms are great, staff is very nice, clean and spacious rooms.only complaint i have is.we book a room at a hotel to sleep at, but when the hotel is 10 feet from a train track that has 7 trains blowing horn 6 times eachtime they go by our hotel defeats the purpose of a hotel to sleep at. NO SLEEP.they provide ear plugs but they dont work at all.so if you want a hotel to stay up all night and party.this is a great hotel.if ya want a good night sleep. DO OT STAY HERE unless you LOVE trains.
When calling this location to book a room they don't pick up to say please hold they just put you on hold and when they do pick up the line the reason I get ya well someone was at the desk. When asked if they have a manager they say no. I'm sorry but this is definitely not what I have come to expect from hotel customer service
Comfortable. Decent food and drinks at sports bar. Shuttle service too and from airport. 5 minute $19 flat rate.cab ride with Airport Taxi Service as of Dec 2018. Rate may change.
I seem to stay here once a month for work the people and staff are always friendly and willing to help, rooms are clean and quiet, and the restaurant in the hotel is good. I look forward to my next stay
As close to the airport as you can get. 4 - 5 minutes on free shuttle. Very good last minute rates. Very modern and up to date rooms as well as complimentary breakfast.
The building is old. The suite we got was not as advertised online. Better to order pizza than food from the restaurant. Make sure to select the conference location.
Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. There is train tracks near by so if you are a light sleeper ask for ear plugs which they will supply. Rooms are not as shown in pictures on there website.
Hotel staff have amazing customer service! My husband and I were staying here as I had an early flight the next morning. I booked the hotel that day and didn't realise I accidentally booked it for the incorrect date. The lady at the counter was SO nice and said it was no problem and moved our reservation no questions asked. Hotel was quiet and clean. Nothing to complain about! Always a great experience with holiday inn!
I have stayed here multiple times when flying out from Edmonton airport, or arriving late. The price is always fair, the rooms are clean and modern, and the staff is nice. They offer an airport shuttle and guest airport parking.
Hotel was fine. Expected a little more from Holiday Inn suites. Heater/AC system was old and very loud. Decor slightly outdated. Didn't seem like a newly renovated hotel.
That damn restaurant is delicious. I also get a good night's sleep. Make sure to ask for the quiet side. (not on the side with train tracks) shuttle was awesome as well. Great price through Expedia.
This hotel is located closer to the Edmonton Airport. The staff at the Front Desk were very helpful and there's a free WiFi in the hotel. You can also get free breakfast and airport shuttle. It has an accessibility entrance and parking. Their swimming pool and hot tub doesn't look bad either. Love this hotel
So I booked my room using Airmiles about a week before my stay. I got into my room and I thought nice and spacious. Then I thought, wow is it cold in here. 61° Farenheit. It is a really cold night outside. Turned up the heat. Very loud fan. Couch frayed. All other furniture worn and stained upholstery. Frayed carpet at bathroom threshold. Cracked floor tiles.
Cable in an out 3 times in 15 minutes.
So I was under the impression that hotels participated in Air Miles to market their hotels. The guest has a lovely stay and then decides to go back again in the future. I think they put me in this ground floor wing with a few purposely fridge rooms to discourage me from using my airmiles here. I doubt I will be coming back!
On a positive note, the front desk clerk was friendly and efficient.
There's also an indoor restaurant and lounge
Earlier this year I hosted a conference at this venue, and was overwhelmed by how helpful and agreeable the hotel staff were. Prices were all fair, and the management would very easy to work with when arranging the event. I would definitely recommend hosting an event here.
I held a corporate reception for 100 guests at the Holiday Inn Nisku. It was a real pleasure working with the Holiday Inn staff. Everyone was professional, friendly and accommodating. The food and beverage service was very good. If you're looking for a venue to host a corporate event, I highly recommend this one.
One of the best deals we've found. You can leave your vehicle at the hotel and take a shuttle to the airport. Nice clean rooms and one of the best values I've found for the time being.
Very noisy doors.heavy doors.lack maintanance, Hair in bed, waaaay over price food, bed is awful, noisy building, horribel location hear trains, cars trucks and low flying aircraft. NO breakfast, this place is worth 70/night maybe.not 110. /night.
What a great spot. Staff (Rona particularly) very pleasant and helpful, close to airport, bed so comfy, room spacious and so clean.hard to top this one!
Staff were very accommodating to our people. We had a large number of guests staying at the hotel. Food and venue were great! The rooms are pretty decent: beds are comfy and sheets are clean. Everything is washed well daily and the bathrooms are clean and well stocked.
No breakfast included when I was told there was.terrible restaurant, and front desk staff told me dry cleaning could be done on the weekend and now I may not get my coat back for my 6 am flight tomorrow? Wow and being super condescending on the on the phone. Not happy
