My mom works she's been bringing bed bugs back and forth to the office it progressed my COPD my bronchial COPD at terminal illness and she doesn't get it

The sales people (Reg & Amy) were great. The warranty coordinator (Trevor) did his best, but that poor guy was busy. As with any new home builder, I'm sure, there's been quality issues. Their subcontractors subcontract further, and you end up having to rip your whole shower out because it's leaking into your floor (literally seeping up between the LVT and mold everywhere), and then when they fix it, they level it wrong and the curb drains the wrong way, so you get water all over the floor anyways, but at least it's way less water! We were without our ensuite shower from the end of October 'til February, and my boyfriend had to miss a ton of work to let in all the people who came to work on it. I'm a teacher who works 45 minutes away, and I honestly don't know how I would have managed if I lived alone. I would've had to leave them a key. We also waited almost a year for Elegant Woodworking to bring back our appliance garage door that was MIA (because it didn't fit, and wouldn't close right). The communication in that company was horrendous. More than once, their people would show up and have no idea why they were there. They finally had to make a whole new door, because they lost the first one, and had discontinued the stain we had, so they had to make an extra trip to try to match it (you can imagine how excited I was when they took another door to do this.) It did finally get fixed, and almost matches, but Christ, what a gongshow. Our "premium stain" black cabinets also have white corners/edges/bits of white paint overlaid on them that doesn't come off, that nobody cared about. They offered to use "touch-up paint" but it's a stain, so that didn't seem like a very logical idea. We moved in in February 2022 and still don't have sod, so that's super annoying, as it's a lot of work trying to keep the weeds down when you're living on the edge of a field (not to mention the MUD). The options in the selections centre were awesome (albeit overpriced) and the designers in there were really great (including Jamie at the light store), and I was really happy with the floorplan adjustments they allowed us to make. But overall, the ANHWP is bringing me a bit of peace, I'd be pretty concerned, otherwise. HOW'S THAT SOD COMING ALONG?

Buying a new house isn’t easy for us as it comes with plenty of unknowns. But it becomes easy and enjoyable with Gary’s help and support. Gary is fantastic, very knowledgeable, and patient. He gave us a lot of advice and bright ideas. Gary’s assistant Cassie is also very friendly and helpful.

It is a great experience so far. We can’t wait for our new home to be ready for move-in.

House not built strong like it used to be. After 5 years living in it, problems are showing up left to right. Won't buy from Avi again

It all started with shortlisting quality home builders in Calgary and HBA is indeed one of them. On the snowy day of Dec 2021 we visited a show home in Walden and met a sweet lady Sharon who introduced us to the best sales manager Michelle Ponce we came across during our house hunt.

Michelle made sure we are treated as HBA family members and involved herself towards our dream of owning a house in Walden, Calgary. All our requirements were taken into account and many more recommendations were added to ensure the dream house takes shape into reality. Michelle is with us as a family member since day we met her. She never made us realize that we are first time home buyer, rather shared all the knowledge and recommendations which made the whole process a cake walk.

The HBA selections team is simply awesome who again treated us as their family and gave their best to carry out the overwhelming selections process. Great suggestions, recommendations, ideas and involvement were very impressive.

The completion timelines were well ahead of time. Kudos to the construction management team. Michelle stood by us through out the whole process which is nearing a year now. She never failed to understand our situations and feelings we had towards our first dream home. We always had one point of contact if we came across any situation and that was Michelle who took care of the issues. We hardly kept a tab on the construction progress as we knew HBA team would deliver our dream home as per planned timelines. We always received regular updates for the progress on their portal which was very professional.

Lastly I would highly recommend all the first time home buyers and other home buyers to approach Homes by Avi team to have their home dream fulfilled. A Big shout out to team HBA!

Living for almost 4 months now and since day 1 - May 28. The issue in the bathroom moisture wasn't addressed and fixed up to now. We were told this is Normal last Sept 2 when the warranty technician came in. You decide if this is normal for a new built home. I will not recommend homes by avi to my friends & family.

Edit. My bad the issue was addressed between May 28 - July 11.1st they had someone checked the HRV if its working fine.
2nd to increase the CFM.
There is no single improvement since the last check.
We need solution on this.

Homes by Avi built our gorgeous first home and Sales Manager Michelle Ponce - who is extremely sweet, helpful, knowledgeable, made the experience amazing from start to finish helping us select our custom floorplan, accommodating appointments and proactively keeping us updated on the progress of the build. We also had excellent service from the selection centre staff - especially Joanne Rehal who did a great job assisting us with selecting details for every part of our home. The only feedback that could have made our experience better was that we would have loved to see our colour and design choices on visual simulation, as certain colours/details we would have chosen differently had we seen them side by side on a computer simulation as it is very difficult to imagine how the finished product will look without that technology. Luckily our design choices turned out well for the most part and we are in love with our home!

Finding the perfect home for our family was indeed a great experience.
We visited a couple places before we decided to build with the Walden Homes by Avi through Michelle Ponce. On our first meeting, we told her we’re first time homebuyers and clueless as to what the process for building a new home entails. She walked us through the steps and every single thing that we needed to know.
As with any other build, there were bumps along the way. Changes and small problems were communicated to us in a timely manner, hence they were dealt with accordingly. This is one of the best things I like about the Walden team, they communicate effectively.
HAV delivered our home to us earlier than our expected date too.
Nonie’s team is also very responsive for after-sales care. As soon as we report problems, they come to us first thing in the morning (replies to emails even after office hours!).
We were blessed to have been guided to a caring team and if we were to build all over again, I will do it with them again.

In September 2021 we purchased a Jefferson front drive home from Homes by Avi and took possession in July 2022. Michelle Ponce was such an incredible support throughout the process. Michelle continually went above and beyond to answer our questions, provide recommendations and kept us updated along the way. Couldn’t have asked for a better representative to support throughout the process. Avi’s Free List program was such a great perk of buying an Avi home. We appreciate everything Linda Lee did to sell our home (also an Avi build) in preparation to take possession of our new build. We cannot say enough good things about Trevor and his trades/construction team. The level of craftsmanship and attention to detail Trevor and his team put into building our dream home is truly appreciated. Our home is everything we hoped for. We are so happy to we made the decision to purchase an Avi home. It was a true partnership throughout the process and Avi has really stood by all of the commitments made from start to finish, including taking possession on time and honouring pricing commitments. Worst customer experience I’ve ever experienced in my life! The girls at the Savanna area location are horrible first the lady that I spoke to about the home didn’t explain anything to us as she was extremely pregnant and was just being ignorant, then later on we found out that we could’ve changed things and not paid extra for things we didn’t need pay for if the initial lady just did her job, then after as we had more questions and concerns the other 2 ladies were no help at all. They only cared about the people who were coming in the show homes. We booked appointments and every time we would go for them they would just end up giving attitude and just cut us off, I really wish I would’ve went to someone higher even though I requested so many times.
When we went to the selections Centre the lady was nice but we didn’t get the flooring we choose it was way lighter then the one we saw, they said it was to late and they can’t replace it, we got shut down before we could even talk to anyone else
Every time we book an appointment for things that need to be fixed (there’s a lot) the people don’t even ring the doorbell they just leave a paper at the door saying “missed appointment” and I made sure I took a day off at work just so I could be here for the appointment, what a waste.
Since we just got possession in November and they still didn’t do grading or anything and all the neighbours water keeps coming in our side because their grading was done a while ago which made a slope directing all the water to our side
I DO NOT RECOMMEND HOMES BY AVI AT ALL, go with another builder that won’t screw you over and then blame it on you!

I recently purchased a new condo in the University District area of Calgary. Julia and others on her team were exceptional to work with and made the entire transaction seamless. The building is soon to be constructed and in my opinion, is outstanding value in one of the most sought after communities in Alberta. The amenities and location of the area are second to none in the City of Calgary.

From the starting of the process Gary has been more than helpful. We'd say above and beyond. In one instance we weren't understanding the payment structure and the break down. Gary emailed us promptly to clarify and reassure us of our options and gave us enough time get the deposit ready.

Purchased our second home thru homes by Avi I can say the service was excellent from the very beginning Lenka, the sales representative was very accommodating and knowledgeable in her own field. The lady who assisted us in the pre-possession was also helpful and detailed in checking our house (Sorry. I forgot her name). She teached us everything we need to know with regards to our house (e.g. Humidity, regular maintenance). On our second day, the thermostat was frozen the temp reached to 30 degrees I was amazed when i texted early in the morning a technician came before lunch… I can say so far so good. ️I made this review coz I was happy with their services compared to other developers here at king’s heights.

Homes by Avi was great to work with. Their Livingston area sales manager Sylvia was very responsive with communication, flexible with meeting times and presented information but didn't push for answers. The Avi Selections center was a great experience also, there was a good variety of options to choose from and my design consultant, Nicole, was very helpful in pick options that look great together. So far the process has gone great and I can't wait till the house is completed!

Building a new home is an emotional process for everyone but with Homes by Avi, it was a pleasant experience. My sales rep Michelle Ponce was wonderful throughout the whole process. We have recommended other family members to purchase Homes by Avi mostly because we know they'll be well taken care of with her. When there were delays due to COVID, she kept us in the loop of the whole process and made sure we got any information as soon as it became available. The quality of the build was very good and we've not had any issues since we moved into the house. Even with the delays, they were still able to delivery our home nearly a month earlier than was previously anticipated. The building manager Andy made sure of this. Overall, it was a good experience purchasing from Homes by Avi and would do so again.

All the changes and pricing were clearly communicated and documented. Any company depends heavily on two factors: 1) the employees who interact with the customers at ground level; 2) Quality of work. First of all, Homes By Avi has a great team. Cory was our poc and man he is very professional. Answered a hundred questions and helped shape our home in all aspects. And Meagan? helpful, and knowledgeable about the home and the area. Chris has an incredible eye for design and mentioned a number of suggestions and options regarding the house. If it weren't for the fact that she's sold all her lots, we would have confidently bought from her.
Apart from the great experience we had with Chris, Homes by Avi are gorgeous and well crafted Homes with great attention to detail and design.

This is our first new built home and it has been outstanding dealing with Sales and design department for our new home. We find the team very accommodating specially with current environment. The team has always answered our questions and we never felt rushed in the meetings with them. I would recommend Homes by Avi to our friends and family for their future buys.

Amazing staff and excellent customer service! When I decided to look for a townhouse in Calgary I thought it would be a hassle and stressful however Homes by AVI made it simple and a very enjoyable experience.

I am a first time home buyer, and had no idea what to do. Homes by AVI gave me all the information I needed, and at no time pressured me to go with them. Anita and Jiny even encouraged me to looked around and said they would help me regardless who I went with. It was clear when I looked around I would go with no one else but them.

Anita and Jiny are the awesomest, kindest, most knowledgeable ladies ever. I am not even exaggerating. They always go above and beyond to make things better, explain everything, and don’t pressure even a little. I am so happy I went with Homes by AVI, and would strongly advise everyone to do so as well.

In the process of buying front drive double garage house in SE Walden area. You have to upgrade almost everything if you want something decent.
Example:
1: top freezer fridge (that most people use in basements).
2: No railing in the stairs going to the second floor (half wall instead) can’t believe we are building house in 2022.3: They clearly advertise the technology that is included no extra charges like smart lock, Wi-Fi booster, smart thermostat, camera, door bell, window/ door contact, dimmer etc.now the sales manager says the website is deceptive and these things are not included.

Terrible developer! My neighbour sold his 4 acres land with many huge mature evergreen trees to Homes by Avi. Guess what happened to the trees? - all gone, cut down in 3 days. What a shame! They only care how many townhomes they could build. It's all about money!

I live next to a front garage Avi home under construction in Belmont and if the pride and care they put into their builds is anything like what they put into their job sites, I do not recommend. There is excessive garbage, cigarettes and material waste all over the site and with the winds we have been having, it's getting all over my property and the rest of the street. It is the most poorly maintained job site in the community, hands down. There's a dumpster right in front of the home that trades are simply neglecting to use. There is zero care being taken on the project and it's simply disrespectful to everyone else in the area.

Not to mention the OH & S violations I am sure are taking place when the framing crew brings their child to work and lets him run around the site with a nail gun. I know framing crews are tough to track down right now, but that's a little bit irresponsible. I have reached out to Avi multiple times to discuss the issue by phone and email and have been completely ignored. The build is easily stretching into one year+ territory.

Very bad service. Reg and Amy in the Rangeview location can't operate a sale center. I was really interested in buying a house, but after I spoke to them I lost my interest.

I would advise you to go with other builders because the process of building a house is long and complicated and these guys don't know anything.

Terrible drivers, on deerfoot was constantly purposefully cutting people off and speeding to slow others down

The management team is horrible and very unprofessional. All they care about is MONEY, Customer service is nothing for them. I would NOT recommend them, save your time and look for a builder that is more reputable and professional.

They rejected my offer after they gave me an extension for a day. Apparently the manager approved it and got us to sign the extension paper but his boss didn't approve of it because the lumber prices increased so they just rejected the offer. I understand price went up but I had SIGNED all the documents for them so they need to stick to their words.

I also ignored all the negative reviews I came across online. I tried to give them a chance and was very hopeful. But they showed their worth and we only wasted our time & energy to get rejected after an approval.

***if you still choose them MAKE SURE YOU HAVE EVERYTHING ON PAPER AND HAVE THEM SIGN IT FIRST BECASUE YOUR SIGNATURE MEANS NOTHING TO THEM.

Avi home constructed our new house. Just a week after we signed the pandemic began, at first we were a little bit worried about how we handle all construction details remotely since we were not at same city. The experience with them was amazing, from our Sales Manager, Sandy, the interior selection support, Meagan, lights selections with Jamie.they did our experience very smooth.very professional helped us to get the design.maintained us inform the advance of construction.even though initially construction permits were delayed due to pandemic, still we got our new house just few weeks after the original pre pandemic agreement.

The construction manager, Dave, very professional during the walk through the construction, responsive to questions and handled quick any deviation observed.

Interior finishing, very good quality.the guarantee support, very responsive, even just for very small questions.

They also help with the moving process through Virtuo, excellent support, Tony provided lots of help for establishing utilities in new house, moving companies.making our move little less stressful.

Will recommend this company for any house construction or renovations.

Built a single detached house with Homes by AVI. Great service and quality. I wanna keep this review short as no one wants to read an essay. I went to different builders and found the sales people to seem kind of pushy. I then went to Homes By AVI and found this builder to be very transparent on the process and upfront costs. I attended the show homes multiple times for follow ups and the sales rep Taralynn was able to update me on the process. I’ve heard many cases where the builder stops caring after the client has purchased the property and signed all the contracts. This was not the case with Homes by AVI. I have been in my newly built home for over a year now and every time I have an issue which is rare, it gets addressed promptly. What makes a buisness great is its employees, special thanks to Taralynn and all the other folks at homes by AVI who’s names I forgot. I would definitely do Buisiness again with Homes by AVI. This review is not just about Homes by AVI but also about the employees that made this investment purchase possible. Edit: my experience was at the Savanna new developments.

I'm shocked of their staff attitude. Called in today to get some questions answered and the guy didn't bother even and just hung up on me!
When Morrison and Calbridge were still building in Mahogany, they were building a house with basement developed for $670K and now because only they are left with lots they build with $700K and no basement. No wonder you are still having lots available comparing to other builders! No wonder why people living in Mahogany always complaint about the poor quality of your houses and how you don't care about them once they move in!

It's your staff that are disgusting and make customers go away.

Invest in your staff and teach them how to treat customers and what customer service means!

The sales manager refused my offer by say that it's too low and she needs to educate me by refusing my offer. I don't know where she received her training from.but there's something called counter offer. She was soo rude and unprofessional. We are a potential buyer we placed that offer based on the excess housing inventory. So please homes by Avi re-educate your sales people or you will go out of business.

I had a fantastic experience building with Homes by Avi. Not only were they price competitively, but had a much higher specification than the competition and have a much better reputation as a quality home builder. I would highly recommend them to all of my friends, family and clients!

I booked my home in Livingstone with AVI. I was given possession two weeks ahead of scheduled possession. The work quality is really great. AVI in Livingstone community do not provide Sod for front of house and sales team may not mention that at the time of booking so make sure you include it in your purchase agreement else they they wont do it, no matter the price of home.

Purchasing the house was a great experience. The staff onsite at the show home were knowledgeable and nice, very attentive.

However, when it was time to take possession of the house, there were many minor deficiencies. To state a few: two lights were not installed and two pendant lights that were installed were different, there was a few walls that were missing paint and/or painted poorly, and the weather stripping around the garage was warped (that's only to name a few issues). Some deficiency repairs have been completed and some are still outstanding.

I believe that if Homes by Avi communicated some of these deficiencies before we took possession, we wouldnt be so upset. And then trying to make us sign off as if everything was OK was completely inaccurate. I have still not signed off on my house and it's been 3 months.

Needless to say, once the house was purchased, the line of communication and the lack of accountability from Homes by Avi was very unprofessional and their trades thinks it OK to disrespect you in your own house.

Although they do build beautiful houses, their employees tend to lack in professionalism. If I had the chance to start again, I dont think I'd build with Homes by Avi.

The quality of my new house from AVI are very bad.just recently, i found water leakage down to the basement just because a wet wiping cloth was dipping a bit of water to the main level floor.
As i did not know what was covered under warranty, i sent them an email to ask. However, it took more than 5 days to get a response from them.

My friend purchase "Homes by Avi" and had outstanding experience! He too old to write review. Warranty was about to expire and had 1 issue and call them. They show up and fix 3 issues that my friend didn't notice!

We recently purchased our first home in Canada through Homes BY AVI and the over all experience is top notch. I don't have any complaints about the process nor their quality of service, especially Reg Lee from Livingston area is so patient in clearing our enormous amount of questions.

They have several new designs which can greatly fit for any family depending up on their budget. They have more additional features as part of the house without any extra cost at which you don't get from other builders.they are more detailed about living area, size of your stairs and several new technologies which can help to purify your home inside air quality and so on. I would recommend their house plan for sure.

We built a home with Avi almost 2 years ago and I keep forgetting to write a review! They were great to build with and any issue we had, they have come out to deal with it and continue to do so. We appreciate the super friendly and helpful sales people in Kings Heights (thanks Ashley!) and everyone who worked on our beautiful home from start to finish!

Cositas on February 2020 as a walk in customer. Danielle was working that afternoon and even though they were closing 20 minutes before, she was super attentive and let us do the walk on one of the houses. She answered most of our questions and because she was not there full time she suggested to pass the info to Michelle Ponce. The houses are a bit on a high 500’s but she mentioned that they will be having some family homes in the low 400’s. The houses look amazing and the designs are modern but homey at the same time, less of a cookie cutter type of homes. We still need to ask more questions but so far we were happy we stopped by.

Our experience working with Homes by Avi, but specifically Cory Ferguson and Nicole Cantlon has been top notch. Gratitude is something that can’t be overstated. There are a ton of moving parts with a new build, particularly when you change the standard plan. A high level of stress/anxiety comes with trying to stay on top of the details for people who don’t live in this world daily. We just wanted to say thanks again for the care, attention and how you guys go to bat for us! Shelley and I have high praise for you both. Thank you!

We are planning on purchasing a home in 2020, but the reviews I read for this home builder, signals a red flag for us.

We've purchased our second home with Homes by Avi. The purchase process went smoothly. All our questions were always answered. Homes by Avi have a great team of professionals, who are willing to help and support you. The quality of the materials is really good and only small touch ups were needed after one year of possession.
We are really pleased with the company and that's why we've decided to build again with them. I would recommend the company as a professional builder.

One ADVISE for all. Please avoid them at all. So i am writing this review after buying a home with them and getting really disappointed with their level of service from all levels of management and maintenance. Biggest concerns are faulty design, no shades on entrance door, will ruin your day with snow blocking your main door and fells in, when you open the door is just one example. The quality of material is so cheap that in few months you will realize how bad their standards are, whether its electrical wiring, standard of building material and fixtures. All they do is to save money. After sales they will leave you on your own. They will try their best to blame everything on home owners and let them figure out everything. Like many other reviewers i would everyone to avoid them. In six months after my purchase i am waiting for right time to sell it and move on with better builder. Wish there is minus rating.

Worst customer service. First the area manager livingston Reg told me that i might get selection center allowance up to 7500 we submitted our offer with 10000 of selection center allowance he became so rude with me a started arguing with me and told me he is not gonna place my offer to head office after 30 mins of fight he finally said he will put this offer and 4 or 5 days after sent an email that head office rejected the offer because there is no allowance on selection center for featured homes. He didn't knew that before when he told us that we might get allowance of 7500. The guy wasted my 2 weeks don't go there all you will get is rude behaviour and lies. I am not even sure he submitted my offer to head office or not.

I could say a lot of positive things about my Avi experience. I will try and keep it short.

I think the most interesting common thread I discovered with Avi through this experience, is how long many of their employees have worked there. It's a testament to the quality ownership and leadership, this company is run by. Thank you for building my kids and I a fantastic new home!

I purchased a condo from Avi Urban and it was an amazing experience! From the sales representative, to my beautiful home and the community within the building. The quality is great (short of the paint), and when I have needed any sort of minimal warranty work Don did an outstanding job! The only feedback I have is the developer should have been more proactive when developing downtown and included the level of security required.

They won best builder like 5 years ago and we build our home with them, after living in the house for a few years then i noticed how badly build the house is, and we are immigrants so we dont know the small little details about the house like when u have to not close ur blind all the way during winter so the water condensation didnt get trap, we got no such thing in asia, and they didnt tell us about it during the possesion date + they use to worst lawyer ever, how can the lawyer accidentaly tore a cheque and blame it on us? !? !? ! Homes by avi never again
