Lots of stuff, very crowded, small aisles, had a weird smell, like old food and dust, but did have everything I needed and few things I didn't know I needed till I saw them.
The store closes at 9pm, my wife and I are still buying some vegetables when a certain guy came in and started to turn off the lights at 8: 20pm, how rude is that? Can't they just wait to switch it off until they fully close the store?
If your looking to make authentic blood pudding no matter your nationality, this is the place to go. They have fresh blood located at the butcher/meat counter at $3 a cup and it's more like 1 3/4 cup and frozen blood if you prefer in one of the isles. The manager was great and I formed me of the fresh blood (Beef) and I have never looked anywhere else after. The staff is friendly and always helpful, if your shy dont be, although it's an Asian food market, you'll be welcome and helped with great service - may learn a new trick or two as well
Good to shop with various types of asian foods, but my concern the reason I’m not buying stuff here more often because there is no expiration on most of the items.
As a non Canada born some times you will be looking for some.not so conventional foods and we'll let me tell you this is the place, nothing ilegal or exotic either.
This place has thousands of Asian stuff! Even the vegetables. I hope can be cleaner and tidier. But overall, I love this place, and willing to come back.
Always find my specialty cooking supplies with a variety of selections catering to these needs. Regular helpful faces are willing if needed. Vegetables are fresh and plentiful. My go to store for sure.
Wish I would of went earlier it was very busy today. This store has so much to offer each time I go there. The staff are fun to talk with. I end up doing more talking than shopping. I highly recommend this place to shop.
Wow. I reached when 5mins left to closed the store. Was wondering if they gonna be open but I was amazed with service. So warm welcoming even at last 5mins.they let me shop and they didn't rush to closed the store. Great deals and good service. Worth coming here. Definitely coming back.
I am so happy I found this place. Have been driving past it for years without noticing it. Finally went inside. You dont have to go to marlborough. Much better stuff here!
Store is pretty good. The butcher shop over at the right end is awesome, especially for oxtail, soup bones and chicken feet for making stocks. Much cheaper than big box stores.
They do have variety of southeast Asian groceries. I like the veggies section although quality varies every time. However, theirs meats are not the best quality and not cheap either. I would rather shop at other grocery stores for meat.
The price is good for Asian vegetables but the place is filthy and smelly. Hope they do better in organizing and cleaning. My husband doesn’t even want to get inside.
I really like this supermarket. Great selection! They have fresh vegetables and hard to find asian herbs. Pricing is very reasonable. I bought some very mangoes here recently and they were the tastiest mangoes I had ever had from a supermarket here in Calgary. The drive is well worth it.
They have the most freshest herbs here and I always come here to purchase joss paper. I travel quite a ways to this supermarket to stock up on my asian cooking ingredients.
It has spices I need, sea food also has reasonable price, they have many Asian foods I can't find in another store. The reason I take one star is because this place is not comfortable, cleanliness and tidiness are the drawbacks
Overall quite a good place to shop for Asian products. Variety of Chinese, Philippine, Vietnamese, Thai and other countries products. Ok parking but they have absolutely the worst shopping carts ever.
A great find for anyone who wants to find high quality Vietnamese ingredients at great prices. So fresh! It also has a very busy and helpful butcher shop. Far better than TNT as long as you aren't looking for seafood.
Its an ok supermarket. Has its mix of viet, chinese and filipino groceries. I somehow didnt find any frozen dumplings here but they have frozen dim sum. They have an area for houseware items also. The pricing is ok.best when its on sale. But i did find the produce pretty fresh. I ended up going to t&t to find more items they they didnt have.
I bought Ilocos Longganisa, cooked it, tried to eat it but unfortunately tasted like the meat was spoiled. Hoping to get a refund or exchange at this store i packed the food up with the wrapper, presented to their manager and manager said "sorry we cant refund you already cooked it". So to be on the safe side, I suggest to refrain from purchasing any meats or fish from this place. Place is always dirty anyways, stinks and would seem to be an unsafe place to buy food.
